I had a chemical at 5wks, 5 days on 27th feb, after a week of positive pregnancy tests.

Luckily it feels my cycle has returned quite quickly, anyone else at 3DPO? xx

Having terrible cramps today! Bloated and eating everything in sight too. Worried AF is arriving but it's very early. Tiny part of me hoping for implantation cramps but I know it's unlikely, feels very much like PMS. However AF not due til next Tuesday so not really sure!

Seasalt1984 · 24/03/2021 13:05

@pinkpurpleparade I'm trying to hold off testing until as close to AF due date as I can... but I might cave over the weekend!

@mybobowler welcome! I've done SMEP a few times, pretty tiring but helped me to feel like we'd made a good effort!

I'm about 9DPO and even though I'm really trying not to symptom spot this month I totally am! It's like two conversations going on in my brain "oo symptoms!" vs. "could be anything stop reading into it!" 🤪 I've had some cramping and my boobs are definitely heavier today and my energy is loooow, but that could all be PMT symptoms. When I got my first BFP I had really obvious wave-like cramping at 8DPO and nausea kicked in quickly so not holding out much hope for this month. But will see!

Mybobowler · 24/03/2021 09:01

Please can I join? I think I'm 4 or 5DPO today (positive OPK on Thursday morning). We've been TTC our second baby since December. Had what I'm fairly sure was a chemical pregnancy in January, and not a sniff of a positive since. This month we've done SMEP and I've taken agnus castus in hopes of lengthening my luteal phase. I'm trying not to start symptom spotting already but I'm not doing very well at that! AF due on Tuesday (short cycles) but I might cave and do an FRER on Monday. Would love some company!

JGessie · 24/03/2021 08:56

@Sunshinexx95 oh this doesn't sound too bad (apart from the tiredness) - I think if I get a BFN this month I will give it a go. I also get migraines so wondering if it will help with that too, at least that way if it doesn't give me a BFP I could be headache free!! Sounds like a dream, thank you for taking the time to explain!

Sunshinexx95 · 23/03/2021 23:09

@JGessie and @MsK89
Ohh don't say that your question does make sense bevause before I went there I was wondering the same thing
So basically I have an issue with migraine so my acupuncture lady used to do my upper back and neck
When I asked her about fertility she did all the way done to my bum ( sorry ) it is not painful but because I am very very sensitive my legs twitches when she puts the needles .. it is not painful afterwards though but you will feel so tired and wanna sleep all day so I would go on my day off to rest the entire day afterwards.. the next morning my muscles aches but I feel completely fine :)

JGessie · 23/03/2021 21:40

Thanks @MsK89 - you too, I'd love it if we all got our BFPs! Grin

MsK89 · 23/03/2021 21:38

@JGessie @PinkPurpleParade please update what your result is on Saturday! Fingers crossed for you both 🤞🏼

I’m going to hold off til Monday if I make it that far without AF showing up. I haven’t got any tests at home yet this cycle

It’s Wednesday tomorrow, so half way through the week, we’re getting there girls

JGessie · 23/03/2021 21:26

@PinkPurpleParade I'm 10dpo on Saturday too and am planning to test first thing in the morning, I have my fingers crossed for us both, please let us know how you get on 🤞🏻🤞🏻

I'm hoping I can keep busy with work during the day but the evenings are long. The only saving grace is that by the evening there's no point testing as any HCG levels (if even there) will be so weak! If anyone's found any solutions to keep your mind off it during the quieter hours I'm all ears!

Wish I could just chill out but we've wanted it for so long and life has thrown us some shitty hands so we had to put off TTC until now. This is only our first cycle but feels like we have been waiting for our BFP forever! My heart goes out to every single person here longing for their BFP DaffodilDaffodil

PinkPurpleParade · 23/03/2021 21:13

Thanks @JGessie Smile

I started testing at 6dpo last month and cost myself a fortune in tests. I was so so convinced I was pregnant - I was sick at 7dpo and had aversions to loads of foods, felt tired and achy and just generally off. BFN!

I think I may take my first test Saturday at 10dpo. The wait is so hard though!

Whatshouldicallme · 23/03/2021 21:08

My opks are back to faint lines today -- I'm pretty sure I ovulated after the first surge so who knows what that was. Still feel annoyingly normal...

JGessie · 23/03/2021 21:05

Ps @PinkPurpleParade welcome and good luck Thanks

JGessie · 23/03/2021 21:04

@PinkPurpleParade it seems a lot of the other threads suggest at least 10dpo onwards (and ideally not until the first day of a missed period) but I think all of us here can sympathise with how tempting it is to test earlier. I've heard of people with positive tests as early as 8dpo whilst others haven't had a positive until 13/14dpo. I don't think there's a right answer whilst our bodies are all so different and it also depends on how sensitive the test is.

PinkPurpleParade · 23/03/2021 20:54

I'm either 5/6DPO today, quite short cycles 26ish days. AF is due Monday 29th. Not really sure when is best to test!

MsK89 · 23/03/2021 18:16

Wow @Sunshinexx95 that’s incredible!! The ladies I was listening to this morning on the worst girl gang ever podcast were discussing positive experiences too. I will definitely look into it. How does it feel?

MsK89 · 23/03/2021 18:14

@Seasalt1984 my work is really busy too, I’m so grateful to be in work. I can’t imagine doing the TWW on furlough or whilst looking for work! Sympathise with anyone in that situation

I’ve had cramping this evening and some brown spotting. Pretty sure it’s the beginning of AF as I usually have a short lateral phase 😭

I only had my chemical last month and I can’t remember how the cramping felt, before I got my positives, I wish I had made notes or something, it’s so hard to distinguish cramps

@Seasalt1984 I think I will stop mentioning things to DP too, he's very good at listening but I think the relatively regular commentary from me is a bit much for him! I know he's excited (which is just the cutest thing) but I think he's cautious about the fall if we get BFNs.

@Sunshinexx95 this sounds so intriguing, I'm terrified of needles though (I passed out last time I went to the dentist). How was it? Were the needles bad? Where is the acupuncture on your body? (Sorry probably really dumb questions but this is the first time I've heard of this and it sounds fascinating).

Sunshinexx95 · 23/03/2021 12:56

@MsK89
Hii
I conceived my daughter on acupuncture to be honest. I had tried 3 month and 4th month I did acupuncture for fertility and as soon as I left the place I felt a burning sensation around my ovaries and I remember I even told my mum about it. It was so weird it felt like the blood supply was rushing down to my ovaries if that makes sense... I did it just few days before ovulation and got pregnant same month :) so I believe it works really good

Seasalt1984 · 23/03/2021 12:56

Thanks @msk89 and @jgessie. I think I used up the last of my tests last month so easier to resist! I've stopped mentioning stuff to my DH unless he asks, he's really supportive but don't think he gets how all consuming it can be! Work is pretty busy at the mo which helps as a distraction too!

@msk89 sorry to hear about your MC too x

LittleDoveLove · 23/03/2021 12:52

I think it's meant to help you relax and stuff isn't it so when TTC. I'm not sure if they continued after the positive. I didn't think you are allowed things like that for the first 13 weeks so I wouldn't imagine not, but I really don't know much about it other than they had it and worked for them x

LittleDoveLove · 23/03/2021 12:51

Sorry I meant to say before the positive I believe x

LittleDoveLove · 23/03/2021 12:50

@MsK89 I'm not sure actually, I think they went a few times like did a few sessions x

MsK89 · 23/03/2021 11:36

Sorry @Seasalt1984 I forgot to add, sorry to hear about your MMC xx

MsK89 · 23/03/2021 11:35

Hey @Seasalt1984 god it’s so hard waiting isn’t it once you get to 9DPO! I find that the only way I can resist is by not having tests in the house!!

@JGessie my partner is the same, so chilled about everything! Whereas I struggle to think of anything else!

OP posts:
MsK89 · 23/03/2021 11:33

@LittleDoveLove that’s amazing! Did they have it during the 2 week wait? Or once they got their positive?

OP posts:
JGessie · 23/03/2021 11:26

@Seasalt1984 I'm about 6dpo and I'm feeling more tired than normal too, I'm falling asleep on the sofa at 9pm and usually I'm wide awake until at least 11pm and I'm struggling to wake up in the mornings! Also trying to be calm and not symptom spot (as I've managed to convince myself I'm pregnant before when we weren't TTC and it was heartbreaking when AF was just late, never mind now)!

Knowing I'm not alone during this TWW is helping me stay calm though, DP said to me last night "calm down, it's only been 6 days"....so having everyone here to talk to is massively reassuring. DP is just super chill about everything and happy to go with the flow, wish I could be more like him!
