3DPO anyone want to TWW with me?

I had a chemical at 5wks, 5 days on 27th feb, after a week of positive pregnancy tests.

Luckily it feels my cycle has returned quite quickly, anyone else at 3DPO? xx

Not sure if this is early pregnancy hormones or not but I sobbed watching the grand National, especially when the lady jockey won 😂

@JGessie yes it might be a bit of a giveaway mentioning it now as it will be written all over your face 😂

we’ve had the chat with our parents before, both refuse to be called Grandma and they think Nan sounds like it makes them younger 😂 Both their names rhyme with Nan too! We’re lucky our mums get on well too.

Will keep you posted how my early scan goes on Monday 🤞🏼

I don’t feel ready to join any Facebook groups yet, not because they aren’t anonymous but I don’t want to chat to lots of people 😂 so hoping to speak to all your girls on here until we all get to 12 weeks x

Aww @MsK89 that's such a cute idea! We wanted to write worlds best Nan or equivalent (such a cute sentiment) but we never asked our parents what they'd want to be called before we were pregnant so don't want to write Nan and my mum turns round and says she'd rather be a Gran! And now we are pregnant we definitely can't ask, DPs mum will 100% smell a rat!

I really hope you get to give them those cupcakes, you'll have to let us know how it goes when you do, we're certain at least two of our parents will cry, probably DPs dad and my mum 😂

Hey @JGessie that loveheart is SO cute!! It will also be the first grandchild for both sets of our parents

Last year we planned on making pink & blue cupcakes with cupcake toppers that say ‘worlds best Nan’ and ‘worlds best grandad’ unfortunately because of my miscarriage at 9 weeks we never got to give them. Hoping this time we may get to give them (and I need to check the cupcake toppers haven’t gone mouldy!) 🤞🏼

@MsK89 @Whatshouldicallme yes I feel very lucky to have such a wonderful midwife, she really made me feel at ease and it's now feeling a lot more real and weirdly less stressful!

It's so funny how we're all on such close schedules, I'm really excited about my scan but also a little anxious. I'm hoping everything will all be okay for all of us! I'm also hoping it's less scary after that but I'm expecting I'll find something else to worry about!

We've made these small clay hearts for our parents with their initials and the month we're due on. Both sets of parents will be first time grandparents so I think it's going to be pretty special for them. We're counting down the days until we can tell them!

Do you guys have any plans or ideas on how to reveal yet?

@JGessie Wow, that's great you had such a thorough appointment with the midwife. I have referred myself online but haven't heard anything back from them. It sounds like we are having 7-8 week scans at almost the same time! We will tell family after this as well I think. I have almost no symptoms still -- my boobs are maybe a tiny bit sore from yesterday but that's basically it. I am quite tired and get headaches often but that is normal for me so not sure if it's anything to do with pregnancy!

It’s nice that you have the secret for now but will be amazing to be able to tell your parents. Have you got a plan on how you will do it?

Also so nice to hear your dad is getting better, life always seems to throw you all the curveballs at once but hoping this is your little bit of luck on its way to make everything right again. Do you think dad will get to come home soon?

My booking appointment went really well thank you, the midwife came to my house and ended up staying 2.5 hours so it's been a bit of an information overload but all starting to feel a bit more real now. She took bloods for all the initial screening tests so should hear back in a week or so on those.

I have ended up booking a private early scan at 8 weeks (well, 7+6). Just over two weeks to go for that so feeling nervous but I think once we've had that scan we will feel comfortable telling our parents about being pregnant. It's our little secret so far and it's such a big secret to keep!

@Whatshouldicallme that sounds so positive! I keep seeing mine get darker and it's the only thing keeping me sane during these early months! I've finally got my cheap tests to go dark so feeling more confident that I am progressing as I should. How have you been doing with symptoms? Do you have none at all? I feel so bloated!

I have just booked a scan for end of April when I will be nearly 8 weeks. It seems ages away!!

That’s great news that your test are getting stronger! Such a good feeling to see that happen. Will you have an early scan or wait til 12 weeks?

Congrats @MsK89!! This really has been been a lucky thread. Fingers crossed for you!! I'm 5+1 as well and also don't usually feel very "pregnant" although I've been testing regularly with results getting stronger and stronger so I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing!

Hey @JGessie had my first lot of bloods today and going back in Friday to see if it’s progressing. She seemed fairly happy with how they were today and she has booked me in for a scan on Monday morning.

my dads still in hospital but is much better than he was a few weeks ago and I’ve had so many other things going on this last 2 weeks! I feel like I’m in shock really but trying to just relax and see what happens 🤞🏼

I am doing okay, I'm 5+1 today and flit between not feeling pregnant and feeling very pregnant, nervous and then not nervous. I have my booking in appointment tomorrow, think that might make it feel a little more real although I don't think the nerves will calm until I pass at least 12 weeks! Time is going SO slowly!

Hey @JGessie it is quite strong isn’t it! I don’t feel pregnant which is a bit worrying, but hopefully will get my first lot of bloods tomorrow 🤞🏼

@msk89 yes my partner can come with me which is great, I've booked one with ultrasound direct in Reading, they seemed to have good reviews so hopefully will be an ok experience.

I know what you mean re feeling sick and not sure what it is, I've had a little bit of nausea but thought it might be anxiety related! But nicer to think it could be a pregnancy symptom and def could be i guess! 😊

@Seasalt1984 glad to hear you are feeling well except the tiredness! That’s good you have an early scan, they are so reassuring aren’t they. Can your partner go with you to that as well?

When I first spoke to EPU on the phone yesterday they said they would just monitor bloods first, I think I’m too early to have an internal scan yet. Would be very happy if they offered me one though!
Been feeling sick tonight but it’s hard to know if it’s a symptom or just nerves!!

I'm ok thanks @msk89, I'm 5 weeks today and feeling ok nothing too much in the way of symptoms yet apart from sore boobs and tiredness! Time seems to be going pretty slowly waiting for first scan. I've booked an early one at 8 weeks as a bit anxious after mmc. Hopefully that will be ok and make it all seem a bit more real! I guess epu will offer you early scan would they? Sending positive vibes for your blood tests xx

Spoke to EPU yesterday and they’ve asked me to get referred from my doctor today so can check my bloods every 48 hours.
I feel a tiny bit of hope though as I did another test today and i think it’s quite a strong positive
