@MammaJ21 that sounds good, if it was monday or today it sounds like either way you've covered the peak fertility days! And you still have the next few days too. Good luck x x
Thanks! So I have carried on using them for a few days
..just to see! and they've been positive again. Today's one is clearly darker too. They've all been as dark as/darker but today's really shows this. So confussing why I had a positive...then negatives then a couple of days of positives now!

Hoping those of you in the TWW are holding up ok!

Lovely sunny day here and in-laws are coming for a barbecue later! MIL has phoned to let me know she's bought my favourite wine. How much is too much in the TWW? What would you all do? 😩

minthumbugs · 17/04/2021 08:32

Ahhh @iloveoreos hope your OH's SA comes back good and quickly and you can get started ASAP. Once you get the proper medication I bet you will start feeling a lot better. It's good you and @kaylsd are going through something kind of similar so you have someone to ask questions! Smear test is ok. It's slightly uncomfortable and a wee scratch but it's over pretty soon and like everyone says just tell the nurse you're feeling nervous. And you're totally right it's great to be able to come on here where no question is a silly one 💞

Yep staying positive @kaylsd! I need to remember if it's not this month (even though I really hope it will be) it's not the end of the world. We will get there! X

@Kitty0389 sorry that you're out this month. Glad you have your scan though, let us know how you get on.

Iloveoreos · 16/04/2021 22:41

@Kitty0389 thanks hun..that gives me some hope and lessens my fear

I must say you all lovely ladies here have been so helpful for us all. In situations like these it can get difficult to talk to anyone about it. And voicing it out here and getting reassurance just helps so much. So a big thanku my lovely online sisters 🥰🥰

Kitty0389 · 16/04/2021 22:24

@Iloveoreos
I’m so sorry about the blood tests. We definitely are cycle buddies, I get my day 21 results on Monday...
for the smear, definitely speak to your nurse and get her to talk you through it. They can use a smaller speculum if you are feeling uncomfortable and just get them to stop if it’s bad and take a breath. The nurses are usually really good!

I have my TV and pelvic ultrasound in the morning. And AF just turned up today so I’m definitely out!

Iloveoreos · 16/04/2021 21:52

@kaylsd thanks hun.thats reassuring. Guess i just have to be brave and book the appointment.

Iloveoreos · 16/04/2021 21:50

Also im confused..if im not ovulating every cycle even on metaformin how are periods regular then?

kaylsd · 16/04/2021 21:03
@kaylsd
Thanks hun..i know its good to have insight but its just upsetting when hearing the news. Oh well. Better knowing than not knowing.
Whats scaring me the most now is that ive been putting off smear test and fertility clinic said they will not give me anything until i get that done ☹now ive never had one before (didnt need one before) so im dreading it. Heard enough horror stories and its got me scared

Ladies who have had smear test..how bad is it??
For me it wasn't bad at all, slight discomfort when they place the speculum but it feels like a tiny scratch in my eyes consider it like a sharper mascara brush 🙈

everyone's tolerance js a little bit different but I think if you can explain to the nurse how scared you are, there should be different sizes speculums too of which you can ask for a smaller one for that reason for comfort and you can ask to stop at any point! It may be worth wise asking the nurse to talk through each step of the process so nothing is at shock for you, but it's like a high cervical swab if you've had one of those done before but a tiny bit scratchy :) hope this helps hunny xx

@minthumbugs let us know how you get on darling I’ve got everything crossed for you!! I know it’s easier said than done but just got to remain positive on the situation until proven otherwise, you’ve got this girl 🤞🏻✨👌🏻 I can’t believe your dream don’t get me wrong as you girls know on here I’ve had my fair share of strange dreams 😂😂 but I hate it when it’s horrible ones like them :( sending hugs!

@CycloGoose got to try and be positive chick in life, I’ve always considered that stance as I’ve always believed no matter what I go through, there will always be someone who’s worse off than me which makes me appreciate the little things in life! The fact I’ve got my health (ish give or take compliant ovaries ;) ) love from my hub, my friends and family and pooch, always creates a reason to smile 🥰 on the note of being hopeful, I remembered the song hope by twista & faith evans from years ago and it reminds me of my TTC journey, trying to be positive because it’s not easyyyyyy but thanks okay because we hopefulllllll (I’ll attach link to show I’m not a looney tunes, I’m not keen on the rapping bits but faith evans part is the boss on it https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=i0XOCs86om0) I know it doesn’t seem like your ovulation may not have happened yet but happy baby dancing darling! It’s the best part of it to feel close to your favourite 🥰😘

@iloveoreos happy Friday lovely lady! smashed a Chinese down for tea (prob not best for my pcos) but hey ho, who cannot beat a Chinese and a glass of wine when it’s been a long emotional week at work 😩😂 I’m sorry to hear about your bloods, my bloods came back and it’s looking like my bloods correspond with pcos with the 3:1 ratio so it’s abit disheartening when you hear results but just take it as you’ve got abit of insight now (maybe consider changing your tracking if things aren’t working ie LH strips) and hopefully you’ll be supported now to do everything they can in their power to help you in your TTC journey when your partners SA comes back! I’m waiting for my hubs appointment to come through then we can go onto next step :) 🌈🤞🏻 if it helps, two of my friends conceived on clomid and I do think it’ll be the direction I’ll be also heading in, so may be nice to have a friend on similar paths with their journey 😘😘😘

@Sarie24 hey there hunny :) you never know it only takes one time whether it be the first month or a few years (hoping it’s not that for you) let’s hope you get to grips with the tracking game and hopefully it’s a smooth journey for you :)

Just on the sofa with our mabes sobbing at dear John, why do I do this to myself I don’t know 😂😂😂😂😩 excuse quality streets from Christmas, I needed a chocolate fix but don’t worry they don’t expire until next month 🙈🙈🙈🐷

Iloveoreos · 16/04/2021 16:38

@minthumbugs she didnt say what med but i think most probably clomid but i cant get that until husbands SA results come back 😖

minthumbugs · 16/04/2021 16:24

Sorry @Iloveoreos! Did they/will they discuss it with you? And did you get any further info about what happens going forwards? Sorry you're feeling down about it. X

Ahhh @cyclogoose. Are you still doing LH testing, any signs there?

Hi @sarie24! Are you trying for your first? The first cycle is a long shot but it's not such a long shot that it can't happen! Lots of people catch on the first time - just think of all the one time only surprises 😂

Sarie24 · 16/04/2021 15:31

Hey everyone 😊 just getting caught up I haven't been on in a little while as I was waiting for AF to subside so we could start our first cycle of ttc... I know everyone is always excited the first month and most inevitably experience crushing disappointment so I'm trying to be practical and while excited, accept that the first month is a long shot 😂

Got my opks at the ready... Going to start testing on Sunday which will be CD9 as my cycles vary between 28 and 31 days. Hoping this will help me figure out when I ovulate but it's all new to me...

Had a chat with the OH about how it all works and he's super excited now too. Next week will be an active one 🙈😂

How's everyone doing? 😊

CycloGoose · 16/04/2021 15:02

I'm so so sorry @Iloveoreos if you ovd day 14 then 23 a bit late but wouldn't be 0.0 something. Maybe ov is still to come?

Iloveoreos · 16/04/2021 14:46

@cyclogoose i got positive opk on cd 14. I havent been temping. I didnt quite catch the value over the phone but the nurse said something around 0.0..didnt catch the full bit.
Im so confused. Since metaformin my periods have regulated so why have i not ovulated. So so upset!

CycloGoose · 16/04/2021 14:43

Oh @iloveoreos that's really strange! What were your results? What did the doc say?

I had positive opk as well but I'm sure I haven't ovulated either. What CD did you get your opk? Have you been temping? I'm so sorry darling XXX

I'm on cd21 @minthumbugs but I don't think I'm expecting anything now given my cycles are usually 23-28 days. I'm getting a bit of pain so I think I've geared up to it but not managed.

Hope you feel better soon @katieloola

Iloveoreos · 16/04/2021 14:23

Ive just found out my day 21 blood tests (mine were done day 23)
Anyways ive been told i didnt ovulate! Im so confused. How is that possible when I tested positive opk with cb and cheapy. So devastated

minthumbugs · 16/04/2021 13:42

@cyclogoose it's rubbish the way it's worked out for you this month so far. What CD is it you're on now? There is still hope though, you've got it!

@katieloola that's a shame, hope you feel better soon. X

Happy Friday @Iloveoreos!

Iloveoreos · 16/04/2021 13:37

Happy friday ladies

Hope you are doing well
Nice and sunny here today

KatieLooLa · 16/04/2021 12:08

Feeling a bit rubbish today. Started in the small hours, felt cold and put on pretty much every article of clothing I have to get warm.
Now just ache all over like I’ve been wrestling with a bear or something and didn’t do very well 😂 x

CycloGoose · 16/04/2021 10:10

Ohhh I hate dreams like that @minthumbugs ! Hope you feeling okay this morning!

It's fine. Just frustrating with being on the school holidays at the moment makes BD a bit easier so I was hopeful! I am surprised though given how early the loss was to be honest. Xxx

minthumbugs · 16/04/2021 09:50

CD32 @CycloGoose! I hope so, but we will see. 🤞🏻 There's a study that has said you're more fertile in the 3-6 months following a MC (that was a big reason for us deciding to try again!) but I think it does take a bit for your body to catch up again. It's really disappointing ☹️ but I hope your body gets with the program and you ovulate soon and it will be all go go go!

With all these nice dreams floating around, I had a horrible nightmare last night that someone broke into my house 😭 my OH said I yelped like a wounded animal, I was trying to scream for help in my dream but it wouldn't come out ☹️🤣

CycloGoose · 16/04/2021 09:46

Fingers crossed for you @minthumbugs what CD are you on? Hope it's a lovely 9 month wait until your next cycle!

@kaylsd hope that all these dreams are signs of the future. I have everything crossed for you! With your aunt having that dream, too! I'm so impressed with your positivity. I'm a bit up and down so I'm loving your optimism!

Hope you are feeling okay after vaccine @katieloola

Fingers crossed for you @mammaj21 it can all get a bit confusing and overwhelming!

Hope you get some late BFPs @Iloveoreos and @kitty0389

I don't really know what is going on with me any more. Was really hoping to be super-fertile this month. Temp is rising but realllllly slowly so I don't think it's looking likely this month.

minthumbugs · 16/04/2021 09:12

Well I am probably entering into symptom spotting territory now... 7dpo. Last month my LP was really short (AF would be due tomorrow if that was the case) so I'm just trying not to expect anything. Easier said than done but I'm one week through already 🤞🏻 how is everyone else doing?

kaylsd · 16/04/2021 07:35
@kaylsd that's so helpful for you having all those medical professionals around! It is definitely so hush hush, but it's amazing that you are talking about it with people at work already, because people don't tend to talk about it until they come out the other side! You never know, you might be helpful for someone who is going through it privately too. Really hope you get your answers and your bub soon! X

@CycloGoose oh I'm just taking it one day at a time. Pretty chill about it for now! Have a lot going on work wise so it's keeping me away from Google and I've also stopped temping since yesterday morning, don't think it's helpful for me after confirming ovulation. Sorry you've not had your temp rise (yet!) but it's interesting you've been feeling sick! Have you been tracking this whole cycle, is there any chance you have already ovulated? Or are there any other signs, could it be a late one this month? Glad you have a nice day planned! What are you up to? 😊

@MammaJ21 I get ovulation cramps! I feel them for one day on the one side. X
Aww thanks hunny I've just seen this, it's deffo perks to what I do for a job that and free black pens and plenty of tape, I usually use my dressing tape to wrap up presents 😂 I'm gonna be more than open with my journey if it helps people take comfort that they aren't alone like we do on here, it's amazing how many stories you hear when you do talk to people about it, as we only tend to know the end result with BFP and beautiful babies and not the bits beforehand! Xx
