Holly - I'm sorry that I don' know, but I hope you get it sorted out. I would say it's worth testing, though I understand your apprehension. At least if you know, you can deal with the outcome, rather than worrying about it. Good luck

abbymeg · 22/11/2007 17:14

Bucky - saying I hope your car is okay made it sound like that mattered more than you! Are you okay?

abbymeg · 22/11/2007 17:12

Bucky It is truly one of those weeks. Have lots of chocolate and feel wholly justified doing it! I'm back on! CD1. We're (almost) cycle buddies again! If TEW hadn't been late last month, we would be spot on. Nevermind, you can hang from my ankles at the end of the month again, now I can officially join the other thread. Hope your car is okay.

Coolcat - I have been exactly the same. I think November has finally caught up with me. Someone brought roses in today (a huge tin); found myself starting and not stopping. It seems hideous piggishness has gone past the 5pm - 9pm binge, seeping into daylight hours too. This has to end; I've nearly killed myself to lose 10lbs, and intend to not put it all back on until AT LEAST Christmas Day!!! (BTW I'm still in the fat category, and should know better if I want a baby in there instead of donuts this month!!)

DG - I knew you'd know. You are the ovulation oracle. Nice cape!!

Hello to the rest of you intrepid symptom spotters. CD1. 2 weeks to symptoms. Bring it!

GryffinGirl · 22/11/2007 17:08

oh Bucky poor you. Are you ok physically? You don't have whip lash or anything do you and was the car badly damaged?

sweeties PMSL! that is such a funny story! Out of the mouths of babes! Wait a couple more days to test and come on to MN imediately you know. We need some happy news round here and lots of BFP's

ladylush · 22/11/2007 15:31

Oh bucky

glastochick · 22/11/2007 15:24

Oh Bucky [hug emoticon]

Things will start to look up. I'd like to say things will get better but whenever I think that, that D-Ream song comes into my head and I start to think of the Labour Party campaign for power in the 90s. Yeuck!!!

Bucky2007 · 22/11/2007 15:14

Today Bucky mostly crashed her car . Not supposed to be home yet, but came home cos was fed up...Why am I having such crap luck? AND...I crashed into a paraplegic (sp?) man how awful can things get???

Oh and only boring CD4, no egg and no flippin' baby either.

Shazza2002 · 22/11/2007 14:35

sweetiesandcakes That's not shameful, that's hilarious

I will be testing 10dpo. I didn't OV until CD19/CD20 so it feels like a long time. Sunday will be CD29, so preparing myself for BFN but it's the only thing getting me through today

Sweetiesandcakes · 22/11/2007 14:09

I'm tempted to test but onlt 10 days past ovulation so am thinking i should wait a few more days at least.

DD (2 and 4 months) has just come back from MIL - MIL asked her to put her book away as it was time to tidy away to go home and DD replied - 'no thank you, I;m reading it you bugger' - oh the shame!!!

GryffinGirl · 22/11/2007 13:47

you are supposed to be here DG . Congratulations on the ovulation How did your second session of acupuncture go?

well, CD15 and I am officially on the 2WW now . Funnily enough, no symptoms yet

DH is being very funny (as in funny HA HA, not funny peculiar ). He offered to pee on an OPK stick so I had one as the "control" for comparison of lines .

Afternoon to everyone else. Any people testing today ??

digitalgirl · 22/11/2007 12:40

am soooo busy today, but thought i' drop in and say that according to fertility friend I am 3dpo. ha!
apparently I ov'ed on Monday.

am dubious though as this has involved me taking my temps twice everyday from monday as I've been so disappointed that the temps are low. I've been waking up, taking my temp, looking at it, taking it again and then recording the second number.

I'll go for my blood test on monday to see how my progesterone levels are. and I suppose we'll see in two weeks time if AF turns up or not. apparently I shouldn't test till CD42!

Anyway - I feel like I've snuck onto the 2ww and I'm not really supposed to be here. But what the hell!

dg x

Shazza2002 · 22/11/2007 10:10

Hooray Sarah, lets hope there's some fishes waiting for it !!

Shazza2002 · 22/11/2007 10:07

Hi everyone.

Very jealous about lunch on Friday

We need some excitement on here. Could not check in yesterday and really expected some BFP's, in fact I was starting to think I might have to beg for you to save one for me

Well not looking good here. CD26, Ov on CD19/CD20. No real signs of PG, just normal dullness in tummy and backache which is normal AF symptoms. Keep getting like a funny stitch but sure I'm imagining it. Boobs are hot but not sore.

How is everybody else?

sarahnh · 22/11/2007 10:03

i think my egg may finally have hatched ( or in the process of)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just thought i would let you all know!!xxxxx

TEW has arrived. I knew she would. At least I can stop driving myself mad now, well for a week or so at least

Having ready other stories here I'm greatful that I have had a short cycle (26 days). I really hope some your missing AF's result in BFP's!

GryffinGirl · 21/11/2007 23:35

Holly78 · 21/11/2007 22:09

Hi girls havent posted for a few days looking for a bit of advice.
Goes like this my last af was 18th oct then i got my coil out on the 5th nov, expected a big bleed (so everyone kept telling me) but nothing, so i thought would start getting to know how my cp was and try and guess positions when ov etc i worked out ov on the 7th/8th according to high and soft cervix and cramps all ok but now af is 4 days late and i have had cramps every day like af for about 2 weeks but no bleeding not even a spot my cycle is pretty spot on usually,on feeling cervix yesterday and today it is low and soft!!(what does that mean not ov again but low?) and still having cramps i havent tested and scared to i dont want to get my hopes up and be crushed also what if i get bfp and the cramps are signs of mc i had really bad cramps for 2 weeks before my previous mc. has anyone ever had a coil out and had cramps for weeks afterwards? I dont have any pg symptoms that i cant relate to being caused by something else.

ahem!

glastochick it's never too soon to chart temps! on the other hand it can be a pain remember to wake up at the same time everyday and take it, and not get up to go to the loo within 3 hours beforehand.

other ov-spotting tips:

cervical pursuit - this is where you check your cervix position, whether it's high/low, soft/hard, open/closed. it takes a whole cycle of checking before you can start to tell the difference between the different states. high, soft and open means you're fertile.

some women get ov-pain/cramps. once you start to notice them each cycle, you'll be able to tell the difference between ov cramps and AF cramps.

some women get sore nips or shooting pains in the boobs but not sore to touch.

some get horny (which is helpful)

some get irritable (which is not helpful)

you can also use opk's which detect the pre-ov surge in LH. however, if you have an irregular cycle, then these are actually a waste of money because you can get an LH surge but no egg.

Lesson over!

GG have fun at the Amy gig, I will be watching my sister sing at the Jazz Cafe instead. She used to model herself on Amy but has thankfully given up the booze and drugs in order to ensure her performance is on top-form. Lets hope Amy does the same.
Shame you can't make Friday. I'll shall sip a glass of vino in your honour (even though I MAY be on the 2ww, should know by then)

cbcb have a lovely time dunking tampons in mulled wine! (what did I do with my mince pie? sorry, stole GG's joke, i hope she's flattered)

coolkat · 21/11/2007 19:16

Ah Starlight. Here have a glass of my virtual blossom hill and we can toast to hoping for BFP next month.

My AF still AWOL, had tummy ache again today been Knicker watching but nothing. Will test saturday if she does not send me a postcard!

Eww wish I lived near London? I am off on Friday!! Welcome Neebies remember never too much info on here
