MTW All looking positive, hopefully sods law will kick in and you won't need it. The friend that lent it to me also bought the CBD OPKs. Peed on them for 6 days with no smiley face, thought sod it these don't work and went out and got the CBFM ready for the next month. But on the 7th day, she got her smiley face and that smiley face is now a 3 month old baby. So hence her reason for not needing CBFM. Long story but a positive one

Would love you to be due August. I keep checking to see if there's a 'Due Aug 08' thread but doesn't seem to be one.

coolkat sassylou Are you both due Aug?

So pleased for the BFPs while I've been away Was starting to think that getting pregnant was just a myth.

GG - V. jealous of Amy Winehouse concert. Love her (well, her music anyway). So sad not to live near a big place with decent concerts. Or in fact to have a babysitter on tap so that we could get there. Ho hum.

I've just had a weird one. Was expecting to OV this week. However, had a bit of EWCM on Friday and a bit more on Saturday and that seems to have been it. Think I missed it! Have been having a go at the whole cervix position thing and that seems to confirm it. Damn it! Only managed BD on Tuesday and Saturday so think we'd be lucky.

Quick question: You know the whole sperm can live for up to 5 days thing...? Is that only if you've got EWCM? Also, if you don't have much does that mean you're less fertile?

digitalgirl · 27/11/2007 10:59

seems we are mtw

07mumstheword · 27/11/2007 10:56

Morning DG we are the waiting room list police! lol

07mumstheword · 27/11/2007 10:55

Hi Glastochick how are you? I notice you are in the waiting room thread on CD45 so drop in and let us know your current CD so we can update you. Hope the 2 ww isn't too bad and you get a BFP at the end of it

Thanks Shazza I've been to Boots this morning and bought CB Digital OPK for this month and asked my friend if I can borrow the fertiltiy monitor for next month, lets hope I don't need it!

How are you feeling? You know you said about going to a new thread with friends what about Coolkat and Sassylou? And IF I get a BFP this cycle I could still scrape into the due in August thread!! Here's hoping!

digitalgirl · 27/11/2007 10:54

morning glasto, just checking but you're on the waiting room list at CD45. Did you have a late ovulation or have you come back round to a new 2ww?

No symptoms to report from me...yet.

glastochick · 27/11/2007 09:20

Back in the waiting room [wave emoticon]

Feel it's going to be a long 2ww. I'm hopeful and pessimistic at the same time . Woke up feeling nauseous yesterday but that was probably due to one of the cats laying on my stomach purring her head off. The vibrations were quite unsettling! That said, woke up feeling slightly less nauseous this morning. Isn't it far too early to tell?

Bucky, I'd love to come on the 8th but it's the annual christmas gathering with DH's family. It's also around then that I'll be hoping for a no show from AF and wondering when to give in and pop out for a test, so I'll be a bundle of nerves.

Shazza2002 · 27/11/2007 08:58

Morning all

MTW If your cycles are pretty regular then I would say the CBD OPKs are just fine. I think the CBFM is best if you are unsure when you OV as they will just ask you to keep peeing on sticks until you get your peak. Really hope this is your month. With your short cycles you could get a BFP in before christams

Hi to everybody else, hope the 2ww is not prooving too stressfull. For those on here who are not on 2ww, hope you're having fun BDing, 'tis the season to be jolly'

07mumstheword · 26/11/2007 21:33

DG Sometimes I forget how lucky I am, I may be cycle 8 but at least they don't drag on too long. I find the 2 ww painfully slow and when I'm feeling low I ought to just remind myself of your long 2 ww for OV. I hope this month you get your BFP though and join our Shazza

GryffinGirl · 26/11/2007 21:22

Bucky me me me! i will be there with (Christmas jingle) bells on

digitalgirl · 26/11/2007 21:18

me! ME! I want to come for Christmas lunch!

mtw you are sooo lucky with your short cycles

07mumstheword · 26/11/2007 21:13

MOB Really interested to hear how it went with your nutritionlist. I did wonder about the grapefruit juice I wondered why that would be better than say orange juice. I don't like grapefruit juice so I'm glad and I will enjoy nice fruit smoothies which contain all those lovely vits instead. If it gets to January with no BFP I'd love to hear how you get on then.

Shazza You got me to thinking about buying a CBFM and a friend has mentioned before she may lend me one so I'm going to ask her. But from what you said you do think the CB Digital OPK's can be just as informative? A smiley face is indication enough isn't it?

DG I hope the acupuncture works I admire you doing it I don't fancy the thought of all those needles. I've got Reflexology booked for a week Thurs, can't wait.

Bucky I'd love to meet on the 8th but being in Bristol and with DD I just can't make it. I really hope you have a wonderful time.

I'm CD5 and as I got a face on CD10 last month I could be ov again very soon! We are going to start bd'ing tonight I'm going to get those swimmers nice strong and replenished (sp?) in good time!

Bucky2007 · 26/11/2007 20:46

OK girlies, I am attempting this one more time...we are meeting for a pre Christmas lunch in London on Saturday, 8th December 2007. Who wants to come??

Shazza2002 · 26/11/2007 20:23

DG Boobies are doing ok actually, but am sure that's about to change. As for the fatigue, I am tired but not sure if it's just the weather/work or PG. But not doing too badly.

Anybody testing in the next few days, here's to those August babies

digitalgirl · 26/11/2007 20:15

shazza so no sore boobies or zombie-like fatigue? sounds like a good'un.

bucky not long now before it's business time

should find out progesterone test results on wednesday. how exciting!

this evening i had my third acupuncture session, it was muuuch more relaxing. as i'm now in my follicular phase (post-ove) he stuck a needle in the top of my head and at different points on my legs and ankles. then he put a hot lamp over my feet. i fell asleep several times and really zoned out. was veh veh nice . hopefully there's a little egg floating around waiting to implant over the next few days.

off to cook dinner now.

Shazza2002 · 26/11/2007 19:06

To be honest may have missed the boat if didn't have the CBFM. Would have presumed I OV around CD14. Was trying every other day from about CD8, but is difficult to do it that often with young DD who doesn't sleep through night and to still keep it fun.

So when I got the peak on CD18 suddenly found a 2nd wind and knew I (or more rather DP) had to give it his best shot. If your cycles are regular then the CBD opks will pretty much do the same thing, just my 1st cycle off pill was 39 days so I had no clue when I would of been best starting to test.

Just found it interesting to learn when I actually OV. My friend that lent it to me OV on CD17 of a 28 day cycle, so again later that all these sites and books lead you to believe.

HTH

Hope you all get your BFP's soon and we can all be on another thread together

Bucky2007 · 26/11/2007 16:21

Hello everyone.

Shazza big congratulations. I think I will immediately go to Ebay and add one of those CBDM to my top ten items as I am still failing to get a thermometer!

DG glad your doc appt went well. I do hope you get some answers. I am hoping that the answer you get is that you are BFP but any answers would be good for you!

Gryffingirl you were missed. I'm not going to Scotland for Christmas now as the Finn dog gets car sick so you won't have to rescue me .

And now let's talk about me ...

Actually I don't have anything interesting to say yet CD8, two more days till I can try not to break my new OPKs. I hope we're on a BFP roll here...it's great!

Shazza2002 · 26/11/2007 15:15

My spelling grammer was terrible in that post, maybe I have more symptoms than I realise

Shazza2002 · 26/11/2007 15:14

Hi DG

I'm fine. Only difference today is nad headache, haven't had one for at least a year (well none hangover one that is ). I'm still waiting for AF to arrive TBH. That's what I feel like, so just pre menstrual as apposed to PG. Getting slight nausea in the back of my throat, but that could be the chocolate

very impressed too with your visit to the doc, but then if they'd read on here they's realise you probably know more than them . So where they checking for prostegene [sp?], or hopefully they found some HCG lurking

digitalgirl · 26/11/2007 15:06

thanks for the article scorpio hope your pregnancy is progressing well.

GG lunch was great thanks, we did a little bit of shopping afterwards which was also fun. looking forward to the next one with you there too! btw squash/pumpkin soup is lovely, i have one in my veggie cookbook if you want. I'll post it up later when I get home.

shazza how you feeling today? feel preggers at all?

Me me me bit:
I went for my day19 blood test today at cd30! The nurse who took my test said I'd done the right thing coming a week after I ovulated. He said that so many doctors just send women out for these hormone tests on the textbook days without thinking.

What he doesn't know is that I can't be sure at all when I've hatched. Have not had many symptoms the past few days, other than some EWCM yesterday. I think cervix felt firm, but am losing confidence in distinguishing between firm and hard now.

(.)(.) have absolutely no tenderness, confirmed by DH manhandling them yesterday in a fit of passion . I feel so normal, like it's CD7. Will ask Danny the Acupuncturist tonight if that's a good thing, like maybe my hormones are sooo balanced that i no longer have bad reactions to them (in the form of cramps, sore nips etc).

Am hoping I have a sweetkitty-style BFP looming i.e. no symptoms

JollyBear · 26/11/2007 14:56

GG - the recipe I have is in Delia's winter book, but let me know if you can't find it and I'll copy it out for you!

libralady · 26/11/2007 14:40

Thanks for that scorpio. I'll stop taking them straight away.
cbcb I fell pg on the seond month of using the CBDM. I too thought to bd around CD12/13/14 but discovered that I got my peak fertility on CD 9/10/11. I bought mine 2nd hand off e-bay for £46.00. Once I know this one has stuck, I'll put it back on for auction and recoup my money. All I did was to spend £20 in Boots for the sticks.

GryffinGirl · 26/11/2007 14:38

By obsessing about taking Folic Acid daily, I had overlooked the Vitamin A thing, even though I did know it was bad in large doses and to avoid liver for that reason. Ah well, you live and learn.
