New thread here

santasmissus · 04/12/2007 19:38

sorry about your sad news mob

thinking calm, serene and of course festive thoughts you could be a madoldturkey only in as much as your name is already madoldbird i'm not being rude, honest!

digitalgirl · 04/12/2007 19:34

MOB am so sorry for your loss , I hope you know you can come on and talk about non-ttc stuff if you want. we're all here for you.

fwiw I reckon you ov'ed on the saturday, so you're approx 10dpo, def too early (unless you're shazza). there's still a chance MOB

will start a new thread pronto. am currently vegging at home with 'enders on in the background, waiting for DH and Spooks to turn up and spice up my night!

madoldbird · 04/12/2007 19:10

Good evening everyone, haven't been around much so haven't read everything properly, but i see CONGRATULATIONS are in order sarah wow - do you think it was the reflexology? Maybe we all need our tubes de-crunching!! Am seriously thinking about booking some. Do stay on here for a bit longer like shazza it gives us all encouragement.

Soory for all those who have had BFN's or AF arrival.

santasmissus (LOVE the name - need to get myself something festive, any suggestions?) am impressed at your resolve. Remember - "serene and calm" WE are doing the worrying, anxious symptom checking for you!!!

Like the new thread title, guess we'd better get everything pack here ready for the move over there!

Well, it's been a difficult few days here, as MIL died over the weekend. It was expected, but that doesn't detract from the sadness. Hence my lack of opportunities to hang around here recently.

Would so love to tell DH that we have a BFP this month, especially after all the sadness. Unfortunately i don't think that is going to happen as understandably we only managed it once at the right time. Did something really stupid today - went into boots and got 2 tests, and they still had the notice up about getting a single one free with that, so even though the offer is over they had to give it to me. So of course, i got home and used the extra one immediately, as it didn't seem such a waste! Of course, it was a BFN. Not even sure how many days PO i am - had "smiley faces" on thursday and friday the week before last. When would i have ovulated? No real symptoms apart from the usual achy (.)(.). Whoops! that full stop makes me look like i've got an extra nipple!!!!

Sorry - i've rambled on about me far too much. Hello to everyone, and hope you all have a good evning.

07mumstheword · 04/12/2007 18:56

Ooh Shazza you are so right, I don't need to wait that long do I? You got bfp 9 dpo. I might not last.

We are nearly up to our max on the tread have you started that aptly (sp) titled thread DG or does it need doing?

GryffinGirl · 04/12/2007 18:25

an excellent choice of thread name DG

digitalgirl · 04/12/2007 18:01

santasmissus you are a ttc-er after my own heart!

I propose a new thread title: Symptom Spotters Anonymous (egg spotting or implantation spotting let's have your symptoms)

santasmissus · 04/12/2007 17:38

oh nooooo shazza please come back! i wasn't telling you off! i think it is great at that you (and everyone) is so supportive. it's just that, like dg, i hate bfn's even more than af and i'm trying to hold on as long as possible before getting too carried away. at the risk of sounding like a stuck record, i've been here to many times before, that's all. today is the first possible day of my af's arrival (cycle's 25-30 days). based on when i think i ov'd, i'm expecting af tomorrow or maybe thursday.
so if not tomorrow - curious
if not thursday - surprised
if not friday - suspicious
if not saturday - perhaps dare to be hopeful
if not sunday - then test monday
thats's m'plan, anywaaay

JollyBear · 04/12/2007 16:36

Afternoon all!

I'm going to throw my hat in now on the BDing front I think and settle in for the 2ww. I'm obviously not feeling optimistic, I was looking at info about temping this afternoon.

Thankfully I am really busy from Thursday this week and I have to go to a conference early next week (no internet access, eeek!) so I won't have time to obsess until Wednesday! Well, I will be obsessing but won't be able to share!

DG - I hope your symptoms are not AF related. You might be feeling run down and need a night on the sofa, or as Sarah says something else .

sarahnh · 04/12/2007 16:16

DG, i have had back ache on and off for the last few days!!!! thought it was from carrying dd but obviously not!!!!!!!!

OP posts:
GryffinGirl · 04/12/2007 16:12

Bucky - DG speaketh the truth Reiss have lots of lovely party dresses. I was quite taken with one from French Connection so bought it (and you can buy them on line too - there are lots!) until I saw a photo of that midget child actress Dakota whatsername from the Golden Compass film wearing MY FCUK-ing dress to the premier. Dakota = 11 years old. GryffinGirl = erm...32 (but doesn't look it )

DG - hope it is not AF arriving
cbcb - would agree with DG that your ideal BD-ing is probably around CD14-18. You have to get in early pre-OV

hello to everyone else. I am in MUCH cheerier mood today. Apologies again for being the resident misery.

digitalgirl · 04/12/2007 15:48

cbcb days 14-19 are your key BD'ing days. Go for every other day until EWCM or creamy CM stops.

urg, feeling very AF-like right now (no fair, no fair). cramps and on major knicker watch. had a back ache earlier that felt like sore kidneys...is that a symptom??

bored of working now, just wanna go home and watch tv. tell me that's a symptom.

bucky have you tried Reiss?

twinklingfairy · 04/12/2007 15:47

cbcb go to London tommorrow, do it Thursday, send DH out on Friday do it again Saturday, then again on sunday just for fun
That would make it CD13, 15 and 16, right?
I am about the same at the mo, last 2 months been about 31 and I got a positive opk on CD17 (or did I ovulate CD17).
So it is next week that you will need to plan a couple of day into as well, just to cover all bases.
Just my thoughts dg any further thoughts

No worries sarahn

I have saved you a seat

sarahnh · 04/12/2007 14:49

ohhh i think things are starting to hot up hear!!!

DG thats sounds very promising!!!

MTW and SantaM, i was going to hold out for testing and i only lasted til 11dpo ( well i think).. i had it in my head not to test til i was really late, but something as silly as buying cream that you cannnot use if you are pregnant meant i had to take one and.. well you know the rest...

Shazza i have not graduated onto the august club yet.. i am too nervous tbh, so i am going to lurk her for another couple of days before i post ( feel like i'm way to early in the game and don't want to jinx myself!) xxxx

this week is going sooooooo slowly. argh. when is it friday?

Shazza2002 · 04/12/2007 13:30

Sorry shreksmissus I consider myself well and truely told off

santasmissus · 04/12/2007 13:14

pmsl at shazza's impatientce on my behalf. i told you i am really trying to hold out til next monday 10th dec cd31 so, if i am strong enough, af will be well and truly late, i'm expecting her tomorrow or thursday anyway, but after me, dh and clearblue you lot will be the first to know!!

that sounds very exciting dg!! really rooting for some good news in the digital house.

hope you're all well. will be logging in again later.

Shazza2002 · 04/12/2007 12:09

Ha Ha mtw That is funny. Only cause we did the exact same thing . But hey if it was that time that did the trick I don't care

18th, if you OV on say 1st CD10, that's like 17 DPO isn't it, or am I now useless at maths like everything else at the moment

07mumstheword · 04/12/2007 11:55

Now that would be telling shazza but I'm slightly ashamed to say it was in his hand! I was helping but he got carried away The things I tell you lot eeh!

07mumstheword · 04/12/2007 11:50

Oops sorry forgot to say, I think I'm due AF Tues 18th so will probably test the weekend before, blimey that seems like ages away. will I crack before? I expect so.

Shazza2002 · 04/12/2007 11:49

MTW Well as long as it's just you coming up from the rear and not DP I'm still interested as to why you had to remind him where to end up, only cause I had the same thing with DP one evening The things us ladies do
