Anyone going to TTC in April?

Hi all! Just looking for some TTC buddies! We have planned to start trying in April, we already have a DC who is 2.5. Would love for somebody else to join!

My goal is to lose a bit of weight first as I've gained about a stone back during the 3rd lockdown and want to be as healthy as possible. I've also started taking the Seven Seas Trying for a baby vitamins! Feeling nervous but excited (DC was a surprise Grin)
@zeromango I can defo see a line and most of the time when people post pictures I can't see anything haha
Fingers crossed for you!

My AF came today so I guess I'm on a 31 day cycle!
I went crazy and brought like £200 worth of fertility stuff lol
I brought the Proceive female vitamins, FertilMan male vitamins, Conceive Plus Fertility Lubricant and Clearblue Advanced Fertility Monitor & Refill Test Sticks Hmm
Anyone have any experience with any of these?
Lol that's a lot! No experience from me sorry, I use pregnacare conception vitamins and cheap opks. But let us know how you get on with them and good luck for your next cycle 😊
@hullaballoo19 oh bless you Thanks A part of me is worried it'll end as a chemical because I've never had a positive this early before (even with my MCs) - definitely not overthinking it until Friday, and lessen learned for next month too! What happened with your chemical if you don't mind me asking? Did you test positive and then your period arrived?
I don't mind :) started getting sore breasts around 10/11dpo, had a faint positive on a cb early detection at 12dpo (with FMU) and breast pain got much worse that evening and for the following 3/4 days (felt really swollen, tingly and sensitive to touch). Then breast pain stopped around 16dpo and I had a negative test with FMU at 17dpo. I also did 2 digital tests morning of 16dpo but both showed as 'error'! I had thought maybe the faint line at 12dpo was a false positive but the breast pain was so much more intense than what's usual for me (just slight tenderness usually) so that coupled with the positive just seemed too much of a coincidence.

@Emloba87 welcome! My dd is 9 and a half so a big gap for me too 😊

hullaballoo19 · 27/04/2021 09:56

@zeromango it's a date 😊

Yeah, chemical pregnancy is something I didn't know about before. When I got pregnant with dd we hadn't been trying to, so this is the first time I've ever been aware of it (and aware of experiencing it). And with dd I was 21 and quite unaware so I didn't even really think about losing a baby as a possibility (obviously knew it happened but it just didn't occur to me that it might happen to me then). Much more conscious of that now with my proper adult brain

zeromango · 27/04/2021 09:16

@hullaballoo19 my friend said the exact same thing about chemicals which is why I'm so annoyed with myself for not waiting - the leg aches and cramping have been so bad I thought I had a pelvic infection or something! It's all lessened a LOT now, just mild cramping and sore boobs.

zeromango · 27/04/2021 09:15

@hullaballoo19 it's a early response one from amazon (the babyplan ones) I think you could be right - I can't quite tell. It definitely does look pink but it's so faint - definitely going to wait until Friday now if you want to do it with me? Definitely not worrying about it either way because my period hasn't been missed yet. If it doesn't happen it's ok! Just a few more days to go

@zeromango

So I caved ... can anyone else see something?! Shock
Did you use an early response or just standard test?
hullaballoo19 · 27/04/2021 09:08
@wishfulthinking93 Bless you it's so horrible when that happens, it toys with so many emotions. I didn't get a BFP last time until after AF so until she arrives I'll keep everything crossed for you.

@Elsbeth1 happy drinking so sorry you tested BFN - I've found tracking cycles a huge help so after a few months you should get a really clear idea of where you're at.

@hullaballoo19 could you test with an early response type test for now? Boobs hurting is always a good sign! Well it doesn't feel nice but you know what I mean!

@Emloba87 welcome!! Apologies I don't know about big age gaps but there might be some ladies on here that do - however there is a huge age gap between me and my sister and we love the bones of each other Smile I'm sure your DD would be delighted! Best of luck 🤞🏼
I do have a frer but trying hard to wait as long as I can 😊 the chemical did throw me and I'm worried about testing and getting the faint line and then it disappearing. That could still happen even if I didn't test til af due though

hullaballoo19 · 27/04/2021 09:05

@zeromango I can see the slightest shadow (and I am usually terrible at seeing faint lines), however, doesn't look like it's got any colour to it. Hate to say the thing eeeveryone says, but wait a couple of days and test again (sorry!!). I know some people get bfps this early, but if you think about it, sperm meets egg can happen up to 24 hours after ovulation, say implantation takes 10 days (think average is 9, but anywhere between 6-12days), that takes you to 11dpo, then hcg needs to rise to levels high enough to detect. So you're definitely not out, but given the faintness of the shadow I reckon you'd need at least a couple of days to get high enough for a visible line. Thinking of you ❤️ I'm going to try and hold off on testing til Thursday/Friday, so if you can last that long we can do them on the same day 👍

Anyone going to TTC in April?
OP posts:
Emloba87 · 27/04/2021 00:49

Hi all, I have a daughter who is 11 this summer so it almost feels like the first time again, plus she was a lovely surprise so I never planned anything before.
I stopped my pill mid-pack and now having a horrendous bleed but I just want it to be over with so we can TTC. I’m 34 next month and all of a sudden felt panicked that I’ve left it so late. Anyone else have a large gap between their children??!! I feel like a first timer all over again xx

hullaballoo19 · 26/04/2021 23:02

I think the thing I find so frustrating is the symptoms of early pregnancy and pms being so similar! Breasts have got more tender this evening but I don't know if it's a sign or just pms and I'm just so impatient 😩

Wishing you all either bfps or for af to hurry up so you can get on with your next cycle(s) x

hullaballoo19 · 26/04/2021 22:59

@zeromango

Thank you *@charja100! This week will last forever it seems I won't test until somebody else does (cough, looking at you *@hullaballoo19**, cough) Grin

@hullaballoo19 That's lovely you have something to look forward too on Monday, especially if you did get a BFN (which I'm so hoping isn't the case!) I also feel like it's not my month, even though I'm having so many weird symptoms. My boobs are starting to kill now but that's also consistent with AF. I can keep mulling things over but until I miss AF or test end of the week, I simply don't know. DP had basically said only to test Saturday and Sunday, he says if we just take it day by day and try not to get our hopes up then it won't feel so rubbish.

My heart goes out to everyone who has been trying a while, I'm assuming it doesn't get any easier. Sad

😆
Elsbeth1 · 26/04/2021 22:25

Hope everyone is holding up ok!
I'm on 12dpo now - tested yesterday morning and it was a BFN just waiting for AF to come along now too!
Would be good to know how long my cycles are actually since I only starting tracking AF last month.. I assume its 31/32 days because I remember it getting later and later each month

Oh well got drunk yesterday so that's a plus I guess

wishfulthinking93 · 26/04/2021 20:44

@DeeDee20 thank you! I’m ok, trying not to be too disheartened as I wasn’t expecting it to happen this month since we’ve only just started trying. Came off my pill in July/august time last year and wanted to let my body adjust, thought it had happened in those first few cycles a few times because my cycles were all over. Then we had a loss in the family and took a break from trying and have just picked back up to hope for a 2022 baby, having long cycles is so hard because I feel like it’s such a long wait between trying again. I’m on CD 34 and usually come on between CD32-34.

Best of luck with your appointment

DeeDee20 · 26/04/2021 20:34

@wishfulthinking93i hope you’re ok, I know what it’s like to just want af to come after a BFN to get the next cycle going.
I’ve been trying for over a year now and have my first fertility appointment in June. That still hasn’t sunk in.
Currently I have one app saying af is due in 3 days (using cycle history) and another app saying 9 days (using opk results). Trying so hard not to symptom spot already. Nothing. Just right dull ovulation like pain.

Hope all you ladies are ok x

wishfulthinking93 · 26/04/2021 16:24

I’m 14 DPO now and was expecting AF today but nothing yet. I usually come on within a few hours of waking up. Also done a test - BFN, just want AF to show now so I can get onto my next cycle

Ah @zeromango you're not alone! I was Googling last night 🤦‍♀️ nothing really to report, got a bit of tenderness in my right breast but doesn't feel like much of a sign. I'm 9/10dpo. and it's that horrible second week where I feel crappy 😩 I'm not busy enough! Really feeling like it's not my month, but trying to find the positives - it's dp's birthday next Monday and we have plans to go out with friends on Saturday, so at least if it's not then I can have a drink at the pub.

Yeah I just bin the sticks once I've put them in the app x

charja100 · 26/04/2021 09:39

@zeromango it's so hard not to google and symptom spot on TWW! You're doing so well try and hold out just for another couple of days if you can!

zeromango · 26/04/2021 09:22

Morning everyone! Fresh week this week, how are we feeling, anything to report?

Approx 11DPO. Still having awful cramps and now pains down both legs, sore boobs have started too. I did a bit of Googling (bad I know, sozGrin) and some people have had cramping since OV that went on to be a BFP.

I really need to stop getting my hopes up! I only got a proper positive test the day after my AF when pregnant with DD, but the temptation to test is awful even though I know it'll be BFN. My tests are in my drawer just beckoning me Grin

@hullaballoo19 thank you for the tips! They're in my basket waiting if AF shows this weekend! Do you keep them or just Chuck them once you've inputted it into the app?

OP posts:
hullaballoo19 · 25/04/2021 10:12

Hi all, nothing to report from me. Pretty much just waiting to see if I get the awful breast pain at some point next week..

@zeromango I wonder what all the cramping's about?! I'd say implantation, but I don't think the cramping would have started straight after ovulation 🤔 still, fingers crossed 😊

I use the easy@home ovulation sticks, find them good and easy to use (and cheap!) - make sure to input them into the app, because it's simpler when the app works it all out for you. Also the first month it usually can't tell you whether you're reading is high, because it doesn't have any data about what's normal for you, so first month you have to just dtd as much as possible at the usual time, and the month after it can give you a heads up that your readings are high and ovulation is near
