Recent MC - New cycles & trying again

Question for you ladies regarding FRER - so I have one pack left and just realised the stick looks very different to the others. For starters it doesn’t have the first response imprint on the finger holding part - it has a sort of circular woman! In the testing window there is an obvious grey line where the positive should go. This is making me wonder whether it’s a dodgy FREr!?! Perhaps the line will disappear when I test but what I don’t want is that it tricks me into thinking it might be positive when it’s actually negative! Pic attached - not sure it’s very clear on there but it’s very obvious in real life!! 😁 I don’t remember seeing this with all the others but then again maybe I wasn’t looking so clearly!? X

Morning @sleepykitkat I'm sorry to hear about your mc. I had a mmc confirmed late December just before Christmas but had a MVA (surgery under local) on new years eve. Was absolutely awful and I still have days now where I just feel the sadness drowns me that I'm not pregnant and passed viability stage. I think it's made worse by being on my 4th cycle since and still nada.
I cant help with CB sticks, I find them very confusing and much prefer cheap normal OPKs. Do you bbt track too? My cycles have been a bit all over the place:
Post mva I didn't have a period until about 31 days later. No idea if I ovulated as I didn't track that one
Cycle 2: ovulated CD11, spotted from CD9, proper bleeding from 13DPO
Cycle 3: spotted very small amounts all the way through the follicular stage. Ovulated CD13, spotted 10DPO, period started 11DPO.
I'm now CD2 in Cycle 4 and am really hoping for an improved LP 🙏

Hello, I hope it's okay if I come on in here.

I mc in January and have been a bit all over the place emotionally and physically. Several of my friends and SIL have recently told me they're due around the same time I would've been and ye gods that's brought it all sharper. I'm happy for them of course! But also sad. Desperately so.

I am very lucky I have a toddler already it's just I so wanted them to have a little brother or sister.

I feel like I always knew my body. But this has thrown me! My last cycle was v short and I missed my fertile window and the buggering clear blue ovulation kit must've picked up on my oestrogen period surge so I was putting my DH through a bunch of pressure and awkwardness for nothing gah. And all made worse by him living and working away so timing is a nightmare

Currently clearblue says I'm high fertile again but I'm distrustful...

If anyone has any advice about which tests are best I'd be very grateful.

Sorry I haven't caught up on all the posts, I will try.

@AMS19 I was pleased as I had the same HCG at the same stage with my son. I know it's just if it doubles every few days though so not counting my chickens with that number!

@yepstilltrying that's a brilliant level considering your period is only due today! Congratulations!

@Pettylamby the only thing I would say is hook effect might kick in soon. It did for me at 6 weeks. So just so you don't drive yourself mad when they start going lighter from that it might be safe! You'd definitely be getting a 3+ now I reckon, I've honestly never seen tests that dark! Maybe it's twins 👶👶

@glowingtwig great news on the HCG! Got my results today. 251 - today is the day my period should have started. Go back for another test tomorrow so I really hope it's gone up!

I should probably stop testing shouldn't I @AMS19 🙈🙈

Thanks @AMS19 💕 - I've done enough irrational googling to know that it is completely normal for symptoms to come and go and some people have none at all but its just so hard having no control or even confirmation yet of what's happening in there! The rational side of me knows there's every possibility everthing is fine, but the irrational side is much stronger and pulls me back to the loss over and over again!

@LauraT94 I wish I had stopped on the FRERs top! It's a bad habit! I've thrown a few out but here's the latest lot... The last 3 are the last 3 days!

@AMS19 oops sorry I missed off your reply in my last post but thank you so much! ❤️ that's very true about it won't hurt any less!! I keep thinking it'll be worse if I let myself believe, but of course it's going to be 100% awful either way if it doesn't work out!

@Pettylamby ah I'm sorry you're feeling so anxious 😢 I stopped doing FRERs after I got my strong dye stealer at 17dpo (Monday) as I felt I wouldn't be able to see any proper progression after that! I'm still doing the ICs every other day as I can see a clear progression on them. Did them this morning so I'll hold tight tomorrow, do nothing and then do my digital on Sunday! Ahhh no way we're scan buddies!! I'd have loved it to be the Friday so I was 100% 7 weeks but 6+6 is good enough 😂 x

I'm sorry you're feeling worried @Pettylamby ❤❤ not sure if it puts your mind at rest a tiny bit but my symptoms got worse after the baby would have died. So I think there is zero correlation between symptoms and the success of the pregnancy. I knows it's hard but I promise, you'll these "signs" are probably either not as extreme as you think or not related at all xx

@LauraT94 I think that's absolutely how you should be!! The stats are all in your favour and everything looks so perfect, you absolutely should take comfort in all the signs. It is highly likely baby is going to be perfect, so let yourself enjoy the moments you can. It won't hurt any less if you don't let yourself enjoy it and something happens, so you may as well ❤❤❤

@PlantMummy87 I don't think anyone will judge you here for early testing! It takes someone with will power of steel not to and most of us have shown zero will power at some point! Fingers crossed for a BFP when you next test!! 🤞🏻

@LauraT94 I'm still holding strong, although saying that I've taken an FRER everyday! Started to worry a bit today as I've not really felt nauseaus the past two days like I have been feeling since i got my BFP... So obviously my mind is racing and convinced myself something is wrong again! I also feel like my last 3 FRERs look exactly the same... Which I also know is stupid becuase they are not an exact science but I just feel a bit less confident about everything now! (not that I was feeling overly confident anyway!!)

So yeah... A bit anxious over here!

Oh and we are now scan buddies too... Mine is 1st April as well! 💕

@AMS19 fab point! Hadn't thought about people not feeling comfortable speaking up ❤️ and on that note if I do ever say anything insensitive please (anyone) feel free to pull me up on it! I won't be offended, I just often get carried away and stuck in my own head 😂

I'm trying to stop myself feeling positive because I want to protect myself. But quite honestly I've fallen into the trap of believing the BFPs 🤦🏼‍♀️ I can't say the anxiety has gone away at all but I do find myself making plans etc xx

@LauraT94 so glad you hear you sounding so positive! It's great. So I think given those who will likely be triggered and most upset by it probably won't speak up my view is the safest bet to protect them is to say no pictures and just words on here. Then everyone feels in control of what they chose to read based on who posts it whereas pictures can't be unseen xx

@Pettylamby do you think you'll hold out and not test tomorrow? 😜 No pressure at all haha, but I'm definitely going to wait until Sunday. It'll have been a week since my 2-3 and I'm terrified it'll still be 2-3 if I do it any sooner 😂 although my nausea is kicking in today (5 weeks exactly) so I would imagine HCG is nice and high!

For anyone that does have a BFP, here's a November Baby group on Facebook. It's completely private and has an ambiguous name so none of your friends would know you're on there or what it's about. There's quite a few ladies who have had MC on there so it's a nice and supportive place to be! I'm finding it a lot easier to keep up with than MN at the mo but I'll definitely be coming back here to support you lovely ladies no matter what ❤️

Whilst I'm on the subject of updates and BFPs etc, what's going to be the threads policy on scan pics? I've moved my scan forward to the 1st April as I just couldn't wait until the 9th! And of course if it's happy news I'd love to share with you all. But I can totally understand that scan pics can be quite triggering! So I'll be more than happy just to share the news in word form haha. But I wanted to check what the general group opinion was, and I think it'll be handy for us all to know the consensus! ❤️
