@angc30 it's specialist fertility acupuncture I'm having. There has been a lot of research and it's often highly reccomended to IVF patients. It essentially helps the blood flow to the right places. You can go anytime during your cycle and it will encourage your body to do what it needs to apparently! I'll definitely let you know how it goes 😊

Ralala · 07/03/2021 17:56

@LauraT94 @Summersun001 congratulations!!!!! Amazing

angc30 · 07/03/2021 17:50

@AMS19 I haven't heard of acupuncture to help before so I was doing some research. I'm not finding much about when to try it. Im probably searching the wrong things lol. Is there any specifics for when in your cycle or anything? Quite a few of my aunties are big believers in holistic medicine so definitely interested in giving it a go. Can't wait to hear about your session! x

LauraT94 · 07/03/2021 17:35

@AMS19 @SuzieDeLaTour you mean you don't take pee sticks on walks with you?! 😂 I just wanted to see it in the sunlight and I need to keep checking it to make it real haha! I keep thinking I've imagined the line!

@TheDaydreamBelievers ahhh happy wedding anniversary to you and DH!

@DMT1982 I use the Zero Waste Chef for everything sourdough related! Everything comes out perfect 👌🏻 www.google.com/amp/s/zerowastechef.com/2015/09/17/sourdough-bread/amp/

@TheHotelCalifornia thank you! I'll be sticking around but may be quiet whilst I try and get through these first few weeks!

TheDaydreamBelievers · 07/03/2021 17:08

@TheHotelCalifornia it's the APS testing - gets done in a few weeks

TheDaydreamBelievers · 07/03/2021 17:06

@TheHotelCalifornia @Mellous agree - was a lovely video, made me a bit sad!

Mellous · 07/03/2021 16:26

@TheHotelCalifornia Zoe’s announcement got me too! The video she posted was soooo lovely. I wished it was me xx

@AMS19 I’m a massive believer in holistic approaches and anything that relaxes you and helps heal I’m all for so I really think you’ll feel some benefits that will then have a knock on effect to your overall well-being.

Xx

Pettylamby · 07/03/2021 14:22

Thanks @AMS19 - I know my body will be better after a proper period and hopefully after that it'll be all systems go for our rainbow pregnancies 🌈🌈

@SuzieDeLaTour I think I would have been okay about it but I genuinely woke up in the middle of the night feeling shite the other night all sweaty and my boobs were aching and those were my first symptoms last time but looks like it was maybe just progesterone symptoms! 🤷🏼‍♀️ Are you in the tww now?

@mellous...hmm the first period is a weird one for me! Around the time my first period was due I had horrible cramps for 4 days, all the period symptoms, but I just didn't bleed! Not even a bit of spotting! And I know some peoples first one is literally 24hrs of spotting so I decided to record it as period becuase all the timings work out! So yes and no! 🤷🏼‍♀️🤣

AMS19 · 07/03/2021 13:55

@TheHotelCalifornia I'm so glad you're feeling a bit brighter. All those plans sound absolutely wonderful ❤❤ maternity leave will be even more special now when it comes around. Definitely keep talking lovely, it's so so so important. And always reach out, any time of day or night I'm here 😘😘

@DMT1982 acupuncture tomorrow! I'm excited. Reflexology isn't being offered where I am as it's not deemed medical, but acupuncture is. I thought I do a couple of acupuncture sessions then move onto Reflexology after. The person I'm having with trained and worked at Zita West clinic for years before opening her own practice. I'll definitely feed back xx

DMT1982 · 07/03/2021 13:50

@AMS19 are you having reflexology or acupuncture tomorrow? I will be interested to know how it goes and hope you find it beneficial. Zita West recommends both on her website so I may look into it as well xx

TheHotelCalifornia · 07/03/2021 13:47

Ahhhh @Summersun001 and @LauraT94 congratulations both!!! I’m so so happy for you both and as others have said it’s so lovely to have some positive news in our little group at last!! Keeping everything crossed that this is your time. Please stay on the thread and keep us updated!!

@TheDaydreamBelievers Happy Anniversary lovely. Hope you're doing okay. Completely understand needing time of MN every now and again and we'll always be here when you come back. Also always here if you need to chat or vent about annoying long cycles because I know exactly what you're going through. What tests are you having? Enjoy your pancakes xxxxxx

Thank you so much for setting this thread up @Mellous I’m so glad we can all move forward on this journey together.

I’ve actually had a tough couple of days guys but feeling brighter this morning. Just been a bit tearful a few times and then oh my god seeing Zoe Sugg’s pregnancy announcement yesterday just completely broke me. I just couldn’t stop crying!! I messaged @AMS19 as I was just so upset and as always she calmed me down bless her. I’m so happy for her and Alfie as I absolutely love them but I guess I just wasn’t expecting it and their due date is near what ours would have been and I just felt so upset about how unfair it’s all been. But my husband and I chatted it through and I felt better in the evening. Had a lovely takeaway and family zoom call which was nice, then a nice early night which I think I needed as just felt emotionally exhausted. We’ve been for a lovely walk to buy sourdough and get a Costa this morning which is our little Sunday tradition that I love. We also chatted loads about taking a trip at the end of my maternity leave as my DH gets a sabbatical with his work so that’s really cheered me up and given me something to look forward to in the future.

So I’m currently CD3. AF has been bearable. I’d say light flow Friday, medium flow yesterday and today. Had some cramping yesterday but today’s been okay. I’d say this is quite similar to the period I had in October (only had two since coming off the pill last May and before getting my BFP in November as my cycles were so all over the place) so hopefully that’s a good sign. Obviously it took 53 days to get a period after my surgery but I’m going to try not to dwell too much on the past now and just focus on this cycle and doing everything we can. I’m taking B6, agnus castus, a B complex with added Vitamin D, and folic acid. I’m temping obviously and I’ve decided to invest in the clearblue ovulation tests too, although will use the cheapy OPKS first. Really hoping the B6 and agnus castus help to bring my ovulation forward. Also generally going to try and maintain this positive mood. A week ago I didn’t know what was happening with my cycle and look where I am now. In a fresh new cycle, optimistic and hopeful. Fingers crossed that all of us in a new cycle will get some good news very soon.

Sending love to you all xxxx

DMT1982 · 07/03/2021 13:47

@LauraT94 yay fantastic news and lovely to see you took your FRER out for a walk that made me smile 😊

Also your sour dough looks amaaaaazing. Please could you post the recipe as I am forever buying it but would love to make it.

Hope the fresh air made you feel a bit better. Small steps and take easy day as it comes xxx

AMS19 · 07/03/2021 13:30

Ahh happy anniversary @TheDaydreamBelievers I'm sorry it won't be what you had in mind but hopefully you can have some nice wine and feel confident you'll either be pregnant or have your little one by the next one

AMS19 · 07/03/2021 13:29

@dippyegg32 honestly it's more EWCM tinged with it, he would never know 😂😂

TheDaydreamBelievers · 07/03/2021 13:26

@LauraT94 that sourdough looks fab! It's our wedding anniversary today so we are making pancakes

SuzieDeLaTour · 07/03/2021 13:01

@LauraT94 oooh good baking skills!! And that’s amazing you took your FrER for a walk 😂

dippyegg32 · 07/03/2021 12:57

@AMS19 sounds like a very pragmatic approach. Dh won't come near me if I'm bleeding even slightly!

SuzieDeLaTour · 07/03/2021 12:53

@AMS19 oh that is frustrating that you’re still spotting. I had EWCM mixed with a tiny bit of blood before my monster period came on - this whole miscarriage process definitely messes everything up a bit! BUT great news on the rising OPKs yay...oooh fingers and toes crossed this is your month 😘 x

AMS19 · 07/03/2021 12:50

@dippyegg32 oh the spotting hasn't been bad enough not to have sex luckily so we've DTD quite a lot! We are going to just see what happens 🤷‍♀️ I think my body needs more time to regulate in all honestly but I'm not going to prevent in any way

@LauraT94 I love you took your test with you for a walk 😂😂😂

LauraT94 · 07/03/2021 12:40

Was feeling quite stressed and jittery about it all so baked some sourdough I had proving in the fridge and went for a long Walk and a coffee on the seafront with my OH and my vvvfl 😂

@dippyegg32 I would say yes you ovulated on CD12 with a fallback rise on CD14.

@Tamalama definitely need to remember that every pregnancy is different! ❤️🌈

@Pettylamby thank you!! Ah I'm so sorry it was a BFN, I was sure yours would be the same as mine this morning!! 😢 Always next cycle though!

@SuzieDeLaTour thank you!

@AMS19 you're right, I definitely need to break it down into smaller chunks and work my way towards the little goals! I've marked 5 weeks and 8 weeks in my calendar as my two goals to work towards for now!

@Neady1980 thank you! Symptoms so far have been: cramping on and off since O, some nausea (had the same in my last pregancy, nausea for a few days around/after implantation and then it stopped until about 5-6 weeks!), Backache, heightened sense of smell etc... Every symptom under the sun really 😂

@Seasalt1984 thank you! I'll definitely be wishing away the next few weeks haha.

@PlantMummy87 ah thank you, it's definitely a whole confusing mix of emotions right now!

@DMT1982 yes I got a very faint BFP this morning! Will be testing again tomorrow and probably every day for a little while 😂 these were today's tests and chart!

Going by this did I ovulate on 12 or 13? The temp spike is always post ovulation, right?

@MrsNo2506 dont worry about your age, I was told I'd never conceive and tried for years. 1st pregnancy test I took at 40 was positive and unfortunately ended in MC at 8 weeks at the end of January and now I'm more determined than ever now

Mellous · 07/03/2021 12:25

@PlantMummy87 oh that’s fab! I used the clear blues for the first time this month and found them fab! I had 5 days of flashing, got my static on CD17 and (according to temps) ovulated on CD18! Hope you get your static in the next few days xx
