Sorry also @CocoLoco88 mine are cheapies too and work perfectly!!

AMS19 · 10/03/2021 15:44

@CocoLoco88 I was the same, convinced I had something wrong with me in the first cycle. Then out of no where it appeared! I only test twice when there is some colour and it isnt zero! Generally I test around 4pm and then when I get nearer to ovulation switch to 10am so if there is some colour I can test again later in the afternoon. As you can see I got from zero to peak in 24 hours, then back to 0 again! Don't worry, it will happen! Xx

CocoLoco88 · 10/03/2021 15:38

@AMS19 oh my goodness that’s so reassuring to see, I had honestly thought I was doing the tests wrong or something!! How many times would you recommend testing per day - it looks from your pics that on some days you tested twice?

Also I’m just using cheapy OPKs from Amazon (think they’re called One Step), will they do the job or do I need to spend a bit more?

Thanks so much for all the advice, so so reassuring to know I’m not alone!! X x

AMS19 · 10/03/2021 14:51

@CocoLoco88 hi lovely. Nope absolutely nothing wrong with you. My LH levels are usually zero, and the app tells me to try again 😂😂 but don't worry, you're peak will come out of no where (like mine did). Here are my OPKs from my pregnancy cycle and this current cycle (I switched brands halfway through on the current one so not as clear as they are on 2 different section, but the last 2 pics are both this cycle). Keep going, it will happen! Xx

Welll.... cd15 here and I have some absolutely fabulous ewcm . Ovulation is imminent . Isn’t it funny how some fabulous ewcm can brighten up your day!! Now just to wait for hubby to get home from work!!

SuzieDeLaTour · 10/03/2021 14:35

@OliviaL9530 congratulations! How lovely to see another positive test 🎉. Fills us all with hope ❤️Hope you’re feeling ok! X

SuzieDeLaTour · 10/03/2021 14:34

@LauraT94 oh wow look at those results! Amazing! 🎉🎉
@Jujujuberry my consultant also told me that the first few periods post MMC would be all over the place so don’t worry about short cycles. Step away from dr Google too - it’s guaranteed to get your anxiety going! 😁

justwant2beamum · 10/03/2021 14:31

Congratulations @OliviaL9530 nice to see others get pregnant quick after MC - gives me hope. I just so hope that will be me soon :)

CocoLoco88 · 10/03/2021 13:57

Hi everyone, marking my place and wanted to say CONGRATS to those who have had BFPs already 🎉🎉 I was waiting to see when the first ones would be, so exciting and a real boost. A reminder of where we are all headed 😁 🌈

Still no sign of AF for me, nearly 8 weeks post MM 😒 but not surprising as my cycles were so wildly long before getting pregnant.

I’ve been using OPKs for the past week or so to try and see what’s going on a bit, which I’d never tried before. There is bugger all happening and sometimes the app won’t even pick up the test line 🙄

The app recommended testing in the afternoon as LH levels are higher but I’m getting diddly squat! Does anybody have any advice on whether I might be doing something wrong or do I literally just have to wait it out and keep testing until I see a change?

Thanks everyone 😌 x x

AMS19 · 10/03/2021 10:42

@dippyegg32 ah no mine aren't ovulation pains either, they just happen after ovulation, as in the 2 weeks after! I had a cyst on my corpus lupus so maybe thats what causes it. They can be like shape shocks randomly out of nowhere!

AMS19 · 10/03/2021 10:39

@PlantMummy87 I think it's so important to live your life. I feel like I've spent the last 6 months consumed with either being or getting pregnant and not making plans, etc. In the last week or two I decided life must go on, so have applied for a new role within my company, booked a holiday in June and made lots of summer plans with friends. If I do end up pregnant then so be it, I'll make all those things work. But feel like mentally it was best to live my life as if I'm not fully focused on making a baby. I've been drinking decaf coffee and do drink wine when not in my TWW after implantation time. Other than that, the show must go on!
I'll definitely keep you updated on the acupuncture on Sunday 😊

dippyegg32 · 10/03/2021 10:35

@AMS19 100% not ovulation pains! I never felt anything like it, so short lived but really painful. Who knows!

PlantMummy87 · 10/03/2021 10:05

Hi @Jujujuberry I think I mentioned to you about 8th March for acupuncture too. It was okay, unfortunately I seem to have got what they said were rare side effects of getting an incredibly bad headache and nausea in the few hours afterwards. They also made me worry about my temps being too low and made me go into a bit of a spin of research about. I do think it is good though in the long run as it gets the blood flowing so am going to go for a few more sessions. I haven't booked into until 24th now as the appointment I had booked for next week was in the morning before work and was concerned about if I get the side effects again, although unlikely, it would mean I couldn't work. Part of me feels it is good to have it booked in as by they technically I'll be around 13-14dpo and maybe onto a new cycle, here's hoping that new cycle doesn't start though.
My first period post mc was definitely not as heavy as I had expected, it was mainly spotting for a few days then a day of heavier bleeding, then spotting again and had random spotting through that cycle. The following cycle my period was much heavier and seemed like the good clear out it had needed. It sounds like your body is getting back into the swing of things though which is really good.

@ams19 thanks for all your kind words yesterday. Feeling much better today. It's really crazy how much pressure can build up. Pre mc we were so relaxed with TTC so this has been a whole new something else. My partner is still in the very relaxed mindset which I need to embrace more as otherwise feel like it all lies on me. Decided that I need to try allow myself to enjoy things that I had told myself I could not have/do (nothing crazy or that would affect anything), like this morning I had my first coffee (decaf) since I found out I was pregnant in Nov. I'm not even a big coffee drinker, but think denying being able to have it ever wasn't a good way of thinking of things. Am still going to continue acupuncture but haven't been able to get an appointment until my next cycle will start/have started. I will try and do it weekly for that month. I've been looking around where I live and the fertility and normal acupunctures are about the same price so I'll stick and see what happens. I really hope yours goes well next week🤞

@lauraT94 that's excellent line progression. Don't be sorry at all, it's good to take the time away from things if that is what you need, we'll always be here for you if you need 💕

@oliviaL9530 what amazing news about your BFP. It absolutely brings lots of hope seeing other women that have been through mc get their rainbow babies.

AMS19 · 10/03/2021 09:17

@Jujujuberry I wouldnt worry too much about cycle length post mc, mine Lp was only 9 days in the cycle after my mmc. I'm assuming it's just our bodies adjusting. All the stuff on the Internet about short LPs doesn't really apply to us. The doctors say it can take up to 6 months for cycles to fully return to normal so honeslty don't stress! I'm hoping for a longer LP this time and each cycle hoping it gets a bit longer xx

Jujujuberry · 10/03/2021 09:14

@dippyegg32 wow what do you think caused the pain? How frustrating that you were tossing last night, I was the same woke at 5am and lay awake for 2hrs, trying to not fret about everything and anything!

Hey @DMT1982 good tip about the pineapple core, I didn't know about that one, and I just started drinking pom juice last week!

@AMS19 oh I’m sorry to hear your fertility acupuncture wasn't good, but so happy you’ve found another acupuncturist for less, get that blood flowing to the right places and just relax and think of your body doing everything right to create a baby x

So my mind started fretting today as I have been tracking my temps post MC and from the time where I can see a little rise in the chart (maybe ovulation) to spotting today would mean my luteal phase was 10 days - so stupidly googled it, as a short LP can cause recurrent miscarriage! Ahh made me soo anxious. So then I googled how to lengthen LP and it said take Vitamin C, and I already do eat alot of Broccoli and strawberries, so I ended up getting some vitamin C supplements & while I was at the store I picked up some coq10 vitamins too. I just felt overwhelmed and trying to do everything I can to create a nice squishy safe environment for our next pregnancy. Thanks for listening to my madness I just know you ladies get it, and my husband is being so patient with me but I dont want to keep harping on to him about certain foods, vitamins etc 😂

AMS19 · 10/03/2021 08:55

@LauraT94 lines are looking fab and great news on the digital!!

@DMT1982 yeah I think it's worth a shot doing the normal one. I'll report back after Sunday!

OliviaL9530 · 10/03/2021 08:47

Hi ladies

Like many of you I’m feeling optimistic but petrified of ttc again after our miscarriage in January. I took February to really heal my body and prepare myself for a successful pregnancy, my partner and I had both contracted covid whilst I was unknowingly pregnant, my diet was awful too and I just wasn’t well in general. I cut out fizzy drinks and sugar, (as much as I could) I still allow myself 2 treats a day but stick to a fairly strict diet of fruit and veg!
I started to meditate and take walks as well as having nice warm baths involving Epsom bath salt, some type of documentary and candles to really relax. I really wasn’t focusing on conception, I just wanted my body healthy, I wanted to give this little rainbow baby the best chance I could for whenever the time came.
... I’m 15dpo and got my BFP at 11dpo and I can’t quite believe it. We weren’t taking a break from trying but I wasn’t tracking ovulation or taking the necessary steps I had been the previous months, I have 27 day cycles so knew ovulation would happen around cycle day 13 or 14. We dtd cycle day 8,9,11,13,14,15 and 16, we also used preseed; whether or not this aided our conception we’ll never know but it definitely didn’t hinder our chances either!
Please don’t give up, I know the feeling of waking up in the middle of the night sobbing because you just can’t do it anymore, month after month getting your hopes up then getting them slashed again when af arrives, hundreds of pounds on pregnancy test and OPK’s. Wasted.
Your time will come. I wish you all so much love, luck and baby dust in your ttc journeys and go on to have a happy and healthy pregnancy when the time comes. ❤️

DMT1982 · 10/03/2021 08:37

@AMS19 yes sometimes an early night is needed just to reset you. I try to get to bed around 9.30 most nights, I can’t believe that’s the time I used to go out when I was in my late 20’s/early 30’s!

I definitely think it was worth going to the fertility lady first just for a comparison because at least you know now that you’re not missing out on anything as you didn’t really feel any benefit. It will also be about finding the right therapist with holistic therapies and if you like this new one it’ll be just as beneficial as the more expensive one xx

LauraT94 · 10/03/2021 08:37

Sorry guys I'm doing crap at keeping up on here but it's doing my mental health some good to distance myself a bit!

@glowingtwig I had the sharp pains in my boobs with my last pregnancy! And just general all round boob soreness (esp my nipples!). I have absolutely zero symptoms at the mo which worries me a bit but my HCG levels are clearly rising! Got my digital result this morning 🥳

I feel like someone asked yesterday about how long since miscarriage had it been for those with BFPs - I had my MVA on the 14th January! So almost 4 weeks exactly until the period that was the beginning of this cycle, and 6 weeks until the Ovulation where I conceived.

@dippyegg32 I've been getting sharp stabby pains on my right side and I believe it's where bubba has implanted!

@AMS19 hmm seems a bit suspect that they hike the price up so much for the fertility version. I reckon people just take their opportunities where they can!

AMS19 · 10/03/2021 08:28

@DMT1982 sometimes taking an evening to catch up isn't a bad thing and can make you feel better long term...
Yes honestly it's ridiculous! To be honest, from all the research I've done standard acupuncture is fine and does the job. I mean I say standard, the lady who does it is extremely well trained and we use fertility methods. But not as renowned as the lady I paid over the odds to see who was actually pretty rubbish!

DMT1982 · 10/03/2021 08:22

@AMS19 that’s madness that normal acupuncture is so much cheaper than fertility acupuncture. I appreciate there would have been extra training required for the therapist however how can that warrant making it three times as expensive! Xx

DMT1982 · 10/03/2021 08:14

@AMS19 it’s probably just something simple like I need to wear my glasses more when looking at a laptop all day or maybe linked to post period feeling tired. I doubt it’s anything to worry about it’s just annoying as I feel like I’ve wasted an entire evening going to bed at 8pm (half hour after my little boy!) xxx

glowingtwig · 10/03/2021 08:13

@dippyegg32 I'm 13 DPO so period due tomorrow. Just wondering if stabby pain could be linked to implantation?

AMS19 · 10/03/2021 08:03

Morning ladies

@Jujujuberry yeah I had it Monday. I wasn't overly overwhelmed by it for the cost. So I'm trying just standard acupuncture on Sunday which is literally a 3rd of the price. I want to give it a proper shot so think I'll keep going with weekly for now but just standard acupuncture to see if it helps...

@dippyegg32 I get stabbing pains after ovulation all the time 🙄 so annoying isn't it!

@DMT1982 that sounds rubbish. Any idea what's causing it?

DMT1982 · 10/03/2021 07:51

@dippyegg32 i second the rubbish nights sleep however didn’t have any hot poker incidents to report just fatigued with a headache that’s still not gone even though I slept for nearly 10 hours!

I am 6 days past my period so think that’s DPO xx
