Also ladies just wanted to share and I'll share on our original thread too: at my work they donate to a charity of your choice for your anniversary of starting to work there.

So happy to share with you all that WE (cause I feel like it's from all of us) donated £100 to Tommy's to support their research into miscarriages and baby loss xxx

Pettylamby · 10/03/2021 20:40

Hello ladies!

Well... After a days medium flow yesterday AF has come to a grinding halt today! So thats literally a 48hr period! Took an FRER today and still very must positive so hopefully that starts to fade soon and doesn't affect the next cycle! Coming to terms with the chemical now and less teary than yesterday, also back to work which helped as a distraction!

Has anyone ever taken vit b6 for a short luteal phase? Mine arrived today but not sure if I'm meant to take it all cycle or just the start or just the end! 🤷🏼‍♀️ Fed up googling! 🙈

Hello darlings, how are we all doing? Just checking in sorry I’ve been a bit AWOL work has been very busy. Totally feel you @AMS19 on tyring to focus on other things to take your mind off everything. We’ve booked tickets for Hamilton in July (DREAM) and would loveeeee to reschedule our cancelled Boston trip (we were meant to go on the 20th March 2020! Gutted wasn’t the word haha!) for the Summer maybe on the off chance the US will let us in, but I thought I can at least look at hotels etc again so we would be ready if we are able to go. I’m also hoping that the world starting to open back up again a bit will keep me occupied as I’ll be able to do stuff. I honestly think being in lockdown while we’ve all been going through miscarriages has just made it even worse hasn’t it. We really are amazing aren’t we 😊

I watched Zoe and Alfie’s vlogs and I feel so so happy for them. I still get a pang of sadness but I don’t think that will ever not happen. I really don’t want to be a horrible negative, jealous person as it’s not who I am, and we generally don’t know what other’s journeys have been like. We were watching Sunday Brunch and Laura Whitmore was on there and she’s pregnant, and my DH was like FFS haha cause honestly everything we watch seems to have a pregnant woman or a baby on there. And I laughed and Googled her because I felt like I’d heard she had a miscarriage and she did. So it’s almost like it’s okay if a woman has had a miscarriage as it doesn’t upset me which sounds so awful but it’s just like I don’t feel jealousy towards them, if that makes sense? Same with Meghan Markle and her baby girl on the way.

So I’m just chilling out here on CD6. My first post miscarriage period was quite similar to the one I had back in October I think (have only had 2 since coming off the pill last year as my cycles were long and then I got my BFP) Friday was light, nothing on pad only when I wiped, Saturday and Sunday were a few tampons and painful cramps, and then Monday only when I wiped again. Monday PM it was gone completely!! Baffled me because on the pill my ‘period’ was like 5/6 days and much heavier. But I do think this one was pretty typical from what I can remember about Octobers.

I’m on B complex with Vitamin D, 100mg B6, agnus castus and folic acid. Also exercising 3 x a week and only drinking at the weekends. I’m feeling good and trying to stay positive. Hope everyone else is too. Sooooo happy that we’ve had so many BFPs I honestly think this is a lucky thread!

Honestly ladies it’s like bloody therapy coming on here and reading everyone’s updates and sharing mine, I love it. Fingers crossed for our IRL meet with all our babies one day cause I would honestly love that xxxxxx

@CocoLoco88 hey lovely, not sure if it was this thread or the miscarriage one…I think it was this one, but I posted about being in the same boat as you! I finally got my period 51 days after my ERPC… so hopefully it will happen for you soon!! Now CD6 and waiting to DTD!! I just kept doing OPKs every day and eventually they began rising. I really feel your pain though it was the WORST just waiting around. I’m really hoping my cycles start to shorten now and I ovulate a little earlier than day 40 ☹ Sending love!! Hang in there, it absolutely will happen and you’ll be over the moon!! xxx

AMS19 · 10/03/2021 20:36

@SuzieDeLaTour sounds like it hasn't happened yet so keep at it just in case 😊 my peak is super quick but I know for a few ladies it stays high for a little longer

@DMT1982 oh rubbish. Yes I think our bodies are still adjusting. I do wonder if not having miscarried naturally effects in. For the body, one minute it's pregnant pumping out hormones and suddenly the cervix is being clamped open and there is then no baby. That's super confusing, no wonder its all over shot!

We'll get there ladies xx

Jujujuberry · 10/03/2021 20:16

Thanks @SuzieDeLaTour that is such hopeful news about your rainbow bubba 🌈 Xx I think for me It’s so hard having 2 MC in a row and no bubba yet, its all I know with pregnancy so far. But your right need to pick myself up and not get caught up in those negative thoughts and Dr google!! Yess yay new job will be so good, bring it on!! 💃

DMT1982 · 10/03/2021 20:14

@AMS19 and @SuzieDeLaTour

Just reading what you’re saying about feeling different and feeling like you’re coming on even though you’re only half way through your cycles. I’ve had terrible headaches and fatigue the last two months since my D&C and have been keeping a diary for food related things but have noted down periods, how I’m feeling etc. I’ve noticed that a day or so post period finishing I’ve had headaches and fatigue plus feelings like I’ve got cramps like a UTI. I never had any of this pre miscarriages so I wonder if it’s all hormone related and maybe the same for you guys with bodies and hormones settling down xxx

SuzieDeLaTour · 10/03/2021 20:03

@AMS19 oh I’m glad to hear I’m not the only one! I don’t know if I’ve actually ovulated - I took a separate clear blue digital today and it still showed a static smiley face and my opks are as dark as yesterday. Does that mean it might have happened already and hormones are still high or is yet to happen!? Confused 😂🤦‍♀️

SuzieDeLaTour · 10/03/2021 19:56

@Jujujuberry oh sweetheart, try not to be too hard on yourself. Cycles are all over the place for the first few months but that doesn’t mean you can’t conceive. Look at all the BFPs on this thread!! I also conceived my rainbow bubba just a few weeks after a previous miscarriage without even having a period! So honestly try not to worry 😘oh and Congratulations on the new job! 🎉

AMS19 · 10/03/2021 19:54

@SuzieDeLaTour I feel like that having (I think) just ovulated! Honestly keep thinking I'm about to come on, very odd. If I get one more temp rise ovulation will be confirmed for Monday so I'm only 2DPO. All very odd. I feel so heavy, bloated and crampy. How's bodies are trying us aren't they 🙄 xx

SuzieDeLaTour · 10/03/2021 19:52

Despite the fact that I’m ovulating (still getting positive opks so going to DTD tonight!) I feel like my period is coming on?! Anyone else had that? Just those sort of lower tummy cramps / upper thigh ache that I get as my period is starting. I’ve never had it mid-cycle before? 🤷‍♀️

SuzieDeLaTour · 10/03/2021 19:50

@glowingtwig oh love! I have no idea about aspirin etc as I’ve never been advised to take anything so I’m no help on that front but I just wanted to reach out and say I feel frustrated for you! I think it’s really awful that they haven’t got back to you, surely it wouldn’t take that long to give you the results? And given you’ve also gone privately - surely that’s what you pay for!? I’m so sorry you’re feeling so panicked. Fingers crossed you hear back tomorrow x

Jujujuberry · 10/03/2021 19:30

Thanks @AMS19 @SuzieDeLaTour for reassuring me about my short cycle, the bleeding is so minimal, will it even be a proper cycle to ttc? I just feel like am I even a women if I can’t do this right. Feeling so lost today.

I start a new job next week, its a leading role, but with a good team so I’m like you and looking forward to focusing on other things not just trying to make a baby!!

@PlantMummy87 oh gosh your side effects to acupuncture sound a bit awful 😞 hopefully just a one off & that next time will be much better and relaxing for you hun. I have my second session booked for Monday.

Thanks for all your support ladies, feel so grateful to be able to chat on here x

Babyghirl · 10/03/2021 19:06

@glowingtwig
I would start taking them until they get in contact with you, go on to Tommy's website and they have done studies bot the progesterone and have said it is affective in rmc after my 3rd miscarriage and found out I was pregnant again I tryed to get my doc to give me them and she wouldn't so now nt trying again until I have an app at the fertility clinic which I got yesterday and it's at the end of march I can't wait hoping I get some answers 💚

AMS19 · 10/03/2021 18:51

@DMT1982 is the zika West stuff good? I'm tempted by DHA fish oil, I've heard good things. No my husband just takes wellman daily vitamin. She does say in the book men can take the same dosage but I got the impression it was less important for sperm as it is for eggs so focusing on me at the moment xx

DMT1982 · 10/03/2021 18:38

@AMS19 thanks for explaining. I’ll grab a months supply of the Zita west stuff and keep an eye on that and hope it comes back into stock. Does your hubby take it as well or just you? I can’t remember what the book said and I’ve given it away now, doh! Xx

AMS19 · 10/03/2021 18:28

@dmt1982 if you're taking 400mg it would last 6 weeks as each tablet is 200mg and there are 90. I take 400mg in the first 2 weeks of my cycle then 200mg in the second half after ovulation so lasts me around 2 months xx

DMT1982 · 10/03/2021 18:05

@AMS19 thanks for the link. Does that size pot last you one month or more? Xx

AMS19 · 10/03/2021 17:56

@glowingtwig I have two friends who are pregnant right now taking it. One has been told by her consultant that because she has some early spotting there was absolutely no harm in taking it. 75mg might not be as effective the whole way through but maybe better than nothing for a few days? Obviously I'm absolutely no medical expert so professional advice would be a million times better, but given I've been proven time and time again to not do any harm at that low dose, you might be okay. But I really wouldnt want to advise you, just options to consider. I'm so frustrated for you! Xx

glowingtwig · 10/03/2021 17:33

@AMS19 I know. The idea was that all the results were discussed together at a consultation after a repeat blood test for AMA and a scan- I was told Tuesday I couldn't have these now due to the new pregnancy so I said I wanted at least the results from the first load of tests (there were a lot of them) as surely that would show something up. The secretary promised to get back to me today but nothing and the phone number just says to email. Round and round I go.

So I feel like a little girl in trouble for getting pregnant again before all the investigations were complete.

I made it so clear that my mc were always early and that I feel desperate to know if I should do something.

The book doesn't specify why... I've photographed the relevant pages. I guess I could take the lower dose but she also suggests that 75mg doesn't do anything if it turns out to be a clotting issue. So I'm really stuck here in limbo.

Wow @glowingtwig that's absolutely shocking treatment! I cannot believe with all that money they aren't responding too you. I havebt heard anywhere about aspirin doing more harm than good. Does the book explain in what sense? Most ladies get prescribed 150mg, so maybe you could just start with 75mg so now?

glowingtwig · 10/03/2021 17:17

Great looking results @LauraT94 - plus a digital!! 🥳 also congratulations to @OliviaL9530 🤩

I've had such a frustrating day today. There are two sets of results for recurrent miscarriage sitting on the virtual desks of both my local hospital and the private recurrent miscarriage clinic in London and no one is getting back to me to tell me what they are or if I should start taking the aspirin or progesterone. After reading Professor Regan's miscarriage book (which is really good btw) I'm frightened to just start taking them (consultant at my local hospital prescribed them for my next pregnancy) because of what is written in there about them causing more harm than good if not based on specific results.

So I've been waiting all day for them to get back to me as promised and now it's after working hours and still nothing 😞 I've emailed again, left messages... nothing. I'm really struggling now not to fall in to panic mode. They are my results (and the private ones cost £700) for me to be left here in limbo potentially putting this new pregnancy at risk if there is something I should be doing now. I honestly don't know what to do.

I'm now waiting for the GP to call me back (the GP doesn't have the results either tho and isn't a miscarriage specialist) but I've got to leave in ten minutes to pick DD up from nursery.

I'm just a bundle of nerves which obviously isn't good for the pregnancy either. Why aren't they helping me?! Isn't that what they are supposed to do at this point??

AMS19 · 10/03/2021 16:44

@DMT1982 yes lovely here you go. Its out of stock again but comes and goes in and out of stock all the time (it's £43 when it's in stock) so just keep checking
