@Pettylamby oh I'm sorry that must be terrifying. Can you ring EPU and see if you can get your scan moved forward maybe? It does sound like implantation but can understand why you're worried! Even reading it made me feel stressed and anxious 😂😂 xx

SuzieDeLaTour · 22/03/2021 07:58

@AMS19 @Madeoftea thanks girls. I know you’re totally right and I absolutely want it to be the right egg. I started trying almost a year ago now and very naively thought I would be holding my baby by now 😒 now I just want AF to show its face so I can get on with a fresh cycle and have a few weeks off from moaning! 😀
@KJLM I also think you’ve done amazingly well and should be very proud of yourself x
@Cienega try not to stress lovely. They tell you not to try more for dating purposes and the confusion that causes rather than any medical purpose. If it’s any consolation to you I conceived 3 weeks after my ERPC without a period and went on to have a successful pregnancy. I knew exactly when I had ovulated so knew the dates in my head and luckily they matched perfectly ❤️ You’ve got to do what feels right for you x
@Pettylamby oh my girl! I can just imagine how scary that is, particularly at night. Given its spotting and has turned brown try not to worry. You had that earlier bleed and thought you were out and look what happened! Plus your tests have been progressing which is a great sign. I hope you can take it easy today and try not too panic too much - easier said than done I know!! X

Pettylamby · 22/03/2021 07:38

Morning ladies!

After starting to relax yesterday I went to the toilet last night and had bright red spotting, only when i wiped but enough to give me a big fright, woke up at 3am for the toilet and it had turned brown and very little of it so praying its further implantation or something but you can imagine how I'm feeling! I'm trying to be positive but it's just so hard! In my head it's already bad news! 😭

AMS19 · 22/03/2021 06:08

@Cienega I definitely don't think you need to worry. I was told as long as you wait 2 weeks and until the bleeding has stopped medically you're fine to try. If you still have bleeding or it's before 2 weeks you're at high risk of infection. If you're still getting positives on hcg the issue is you won't know if it's a new pregnancy or existing hcg when you come to test. Also, generally dating the pregnancy can be more challenging, but if you've tracked ovulation that won't be the case. But otherwise if the lining isn't thick enough it will be as simple as it won't stick and you'll get a period, so no different to not having tried!

Cienega · 21/03/2021 22:40

Hi ladies, thank you all so much for your lovely supportive messages. It's been over a week since I was last on this thread, I needed to take some time to get my head around it all.
I am so sorry to read about some of the new ladies stories, absolutely heartbreaking and I am sending all my love and hugs, those just going through it and those still waiting for their bfp xx

Could I run something past you all?... Tomorrow will be 2wks since my ERPC. I have started prenatal vitamins, omegas and vit d to get my body ready for its next cycle. I am still spotting and getting positive pregnancy tests. Myself and partner have not dtd for a good while as during my pregnancy I was pretty sick and just not in that place for some time and then obviously I have not been up for it since the MC, over the past few days I've been feeling very much up for it and have really been enjoying that connection again. We dtd yesterday and again today. I found myself thinking about it today and my bodies desire to dtd, I started to wonder if I was ovulating as I do get quite horny (sorry! 😂) around ovulation. Then I realized that I had some ovulation pains the other day (at the time I completely put it down to being part of the post MC pains and niggles), THEN I wondered about my ewcm and realised that I've been having that too!! (it's been tinged red so I didn't pay much attention to it and thought it was just stringy tissue from my lining).

Cut to me taking a opk this eve and getting a blazing peak!! Obviously we weren't avoiding it and I was definitely keen to fall pregnant as soon as possible but I assumed it would be after a first period and my body would have time to build up a good lining. I am very fertile and tend to get pregnant if I dtd in the right window. I am now panicking that it's too soon and (if I did fall pregnant) it won't be viable as my uterus won't be prepared and lining not thick enough or my body not ready to create the best possible environment!! Should I be concerned!??

*just realised how long this is I'm so sorry, thank you if you made it to here!! Xx

@No1worrier I can't imagine how hard that must've been for you, so sorry for your loss ❤️

I'm sorry I've missed so much - @SuzieDeLaTour @Sleepykitkat theyre driving me crazy!! It's the One Step ones I'm using - every single one I've used has been positive pretty much. I did a FRER just to see if it's HCG it might be picking up and I saw the faintest line ever, can't pick it up on camera or anything. On Monday my HCG had dropped to four already though so I can't see how it's that... I've googled and apparently it's quite common. I'm still doing them in the hope that they fade to nothing and then get a positive when I am actually ovulating.

We DTD last night just in case... I tried so hard not to cry afterwards. I'm so glad we did it, I needed that intimacy again and it was great.... but I'm so scared. I'm so ready for another baby and pregnancy but I'm just so scared of it happening again 😔

AMS19 · 21/03/2021 18:46

@KJLM I think you're doing amazing! You sounds really positive and it's amazing to see given what you've been through. You should be so proud of yourself xx

KJLM · 21/03/2021 18:24

@No1worrier I found the vitamin decision very confusing- when I fell ‘fell pregnant’ (god I hate that phrase as if it’s that easy) with our son I was only taking folic acid and it did the trick and is actually the only thing recommended as necessary by most health professionals in the UK. However over the years more and more research has been done and there are a variety of vitamins - most of which depend on the individual if it will give any benefit as the levels required of each vitamin are different for each individual. A good prenatal vitamin will have the minimum which is for the average woman but given everything you’ve been through I’d ask your consultant- and don’t be worried about asking them and raising the ttc question it is entirely normal to want to straight after loss.
There is a book called ‘It starts with the egg’ which contains a lot of information on vitamins but personally I found it very overwhelming with everything else I’m trying to get my head around.
Have you heard of Zoe Clark-Coates? She’s basically the loss guru and her quotes really resonate with me. I bought the baby loss guide weeks after the loss of our son and it really helped at the time- especially the stories of people who had been where we all are and then got to take their baby home.
I see @AMS19 has mentioned themindfulgriefcoach and I recently did her mindfulness course one evening however I am 8 months on after loss and only now am I able to take things in- in the initial months my head was a sieve and any information poured out but now I’m trying to find the tools to navigate our loss and help us on our ttc journey.

yepstilltrying · 21/03/2021 18:18

@No1worrier oh I'm so sorry to read what you're going through. It must be so hard.
I've always waited for a period after MCs to try again mostly because I'd know when I was ovulating.
I'm taking pregnacare and DH is taking the men's one. I also have a vitamin D spray every day

Madeoftea · 21/03/2021 17:35

@No1worrier I think I missed your earlier post, I'm so so sorry for your loss I can't imagine what you're going through.

I was taking pregnacare before my mmc but am just taking basic folic acid and vit d or now until I hopefully get my next bfp. I hope you're doing okay, all these ladies are amazing support so you're in the right place.

justwant2beamum · 21/03/2021 17:33

I'm taking seven seas conception vitamins and DP taking wellman x

AMS19 · 21/03/2021 17:02

Oh sorry and my husband is now taking wellman vitamins whereas before mmc he wasn't taking anything

AMS19 · 21/03/2021 17:01

@no1worrier pre mmc I was only taking pregnacare. Post mmc I'm also now taking ubiquinol (300mg per day), 40mg of foliate plus pregnacare. And then I will be taking B6 after ovulation to hopefully extend my LP

No1worrier · 21/03/2021 16:52

Thank you everyone for your lovely messages and advice ❤. I will definitely check out everything you all suggested.

Did anyone take any vitamins/supplements straight away?x

Madeoftea · 21/03/2021 16:30

I got my negative test this week, 3 weeks after my mc. No idea what my cycles will be like and we're not preventing but after I get my period back it will be go go go!

I feel like I've got some closure finally and I'm still anxious but also excited to try again!

Congrats on your 3+ tests @LauraT94 and @Pettylamby

@SuzieDeLaTour it took me 10 months to get pregnant and I think once you know you want a baby you want it immediately so every month is heart breaking when it doesn't happen. I know I'll be gutted when I get my period even though I know its almost impossible because we've hardly DTD!

AMS19 · 21/03/2021 15:56

Gosh no many mistake in that last one! Let me try again

honestly I totally get it. I foolishly assumed I'd fall straight after my mmc and would be 3 months pregnant by now. Falling first time left me with a false sense of how easy this all is. It's pretty terrifying I've had 3 attempts and not fallen. But...we HAVE to trust our bodies. They know now they have to wait for the perfect egg. And I'd wait months for that perfect egg if it means I don't have another miscarriage. Doesn't mean we can't feel painfully gutted in the mean time of course xx

AMS19 · 21/03/2021 15:54

@SuzieDeLaTour honestly I totally get it. I foolishly assumed I've fall straight after my mmc and would be 3 months pregnant by now. @LauraT94 amazing news! So pleased for you xx

SuzieDeLaTour · 21/03/2021 15:50

Oh ladies you’ve made me laugh with the cervix checking!! Now I’m thinking I’ve been missing out on something, like I’m not part of the cervix gals ha!
@AMS19 yeah I am mentally preparing for AF, any sort of excitement I had around ovulation has now very much disappeared. I did feel very teary earlier, not sure if it’s just hormones or disappointment that it might not be as easy as I would like - probably a combination of both! I remember feeling disheartened last year month on month when my period came and feeling a bit desperate and both times I raised it with a doctor they told me just to relax and these things can take months...I know that’s true, I just hate it though!! I think a part of me foolishly thought that I might be a bit more fertile after a good clear out during my ERPC 🙄 glad your cycle has returned to normal and yay to a yummy glass of wine!
@Pettylamby amazing news!! What a lovely relief for you - sounds like it’s all going as it should! X

LauraT94 · 21/03/2021 15:47

@Pettylamby of course I also got my 3+ this morning twin 😂😜

I was the same, panicked I wouldn't get it! But came up quite quickly. My nausea is kicking in now so I can definitely feel that the hormones are high! I feel so different to my last pregnancy! Wondering if that means it's a different gender or just that every pregnancy is different!

AMS19 · 21/03/2021 15:34

Can't really feel it even!
