@Juno231 ahh progesterone would explain it, boobs having been hurting aswell! Argh! Also that is crazy about your friend, then there’s us lot who will settle for any month 😂

Juno231 · 31/03/2021 21:37

@chinchilly I think progesterone can cause diarrhoea or constipation!

@Lovebug06 ha i went to see my friend today who planned hers. She got pregnant with both kids first cycle and they're planned for Q4 so it's good from a school year pov - plus separate months so their birthdays don't overlap. But close enough to use all the same winter clothes! Madness!

ChinChilly · 31/03/2021 20:43

@Lovebug06 yeah I don’t get those people and those that fall pregnant by accident...WTF HOW?!?!?!?! 😂

ChinChilly · 31/03/2021 20:42

@Lovebug06 my GP said pretty much the same for me, bloods a scan and a sperm analysis for OH she did say they wouldn’t refer me until all had beeen done. The chemical i just had was an odd I had one day that was horrendous, pretty heavy bleeding and super painful but the other days were lighter than normal.

@Gracie2021 that used always happen to me when OH used to work nights and because his shifts were so long there was just no time..so frustrating!

Ladies, my stomach has been giving me grief since ovulation as in 💩 (TMI sorry) I’ve never had this before...is it a thing? I don’t think I’ve got a bug because I feel fine apart from that! I know there is such thing as the period shits but I’ve never heard of the ovulation shits 😭

Kay00 · 31/03/2021 20:40

@gracie2021 I would gladfully take them 😂😂😂 im not 100% sure I didn't ovulate on CD15... it would be great if I did! But my temps have stayed pretty low, so I'm doubtful.

@lovebug06 haha... when I started this process I was hoping for a summer baby... ahem 😅

Lovebug06 · 31/03/2021 20:32

@Gracie2021 thankyou that's lovely of you❤️
@Cams50 it's bloody hard ain't it. I just see people getting pregnant by accident or straight away, and I just think why not me? I try to chill out, think positive all month but as soon as AF approaches I get anxious and then it comes and I'm just devestated! Tommorow is a new day though.
I have certainly ranted since I've been on this thread. Sorry 😂 I promise I'm not always like this lol!
@ChinChilly I had the day 7 and 21 bloods and the swabs. They said no further action afterwards, progesterone was 46.5 on day 20 as was done a day early. Initially I was told I'd be referred to a clinic after DH had his test done. He is still waiting to do this. It could be him but he has children so it's unlikely and did a home sperm test that came back fine, although not sure they are reliable. I've been told since that they should still refer me after DHs test though, they are probably just trying to fob me off. After his is done I shall get onto them. I think that's what I should do?
Sorry about your chemicals. I know for the first few months I didn't have them. I wonder if I have since, always preferred not to know but I wonder now if I've had any of those since as without testing I wouldn't know. Is your period any heavier than a normal one after? Hope you don't mind me asking.
@Juno231 I'd have never have thought I'd be here when I started this journey all excited. I can remember saying to my friend this time last year, as long as I'm pregnant by Christmas! I feel so stupid lol.

One other thing, when people plan their babies for certain times. So I mean like when people plan to have them for september so they are the eldest in the school year, I saw this was a thing. How do they do this?! 😂

Gracie2021 · 31/03/2021 20:10

@Kay00 are you certain you didn't ovulate day 15?

Gracie2021 · 31/03/2021 20:09

I wish I could donate my lines to you @Kay00 ....

@Gracie2021 oh no!! 👎👎👎

FF has given me my cross hairs again... randomly it gave them back when I reported fertile CM in last few days 🤷‍♀️ not sure why?? I'm pretty confident I haven't ovulated so we're back to DTD every other day. OPKs are pretty negative right now though.

Gracie2021 · 31/03/2021 19:56

Static smilie this morning and now this. Chances of hubby having time away from work to make use of it = NIL. That goes for the entire week. Knew this month was a write off but seeing those lines and not being able to do anything about them. Ugh.

@lovebug06 😔😔😔 it's the hope that really gets you isn't it.

Moocher90 · 31/03/2021 19:10

@TheDaydreamBelievers thanks for all that info!

Juno231 · 31/03/2021 18:43

@Lovebug06 cycle 16 says hi 👋 - I'm sorry you joined my shitty club though 😞

@Moocher90 like I said, don't get too hung up on LP temps as they can stay until a couple of days INTO af too. It's basically great for confirming ovulation, not so much anything else.

ChinChilly · 31/03/2021 16:49

@TheDaydreamBelievers that info is really helpful!

@Lovebug06 I’m so sorry! Have you had any investigations from you GP? I don’t mean that as in you need any just if not there might something really easy to deal with. We all know how hard it is oh here and for me personally after the chemicals I’m not sure I’ll ever feel excitment for a positive pregnancy test again, more like nerves and anxiety!

Cams50 · 31/03/2021 15:40

@Lovebug06 I’m so sorry. I agree with @Gracie2021 that you’re not alone. That’s what we’re here for! Rant away whenever you need to. TTC is so frustrating and there’s so much uncertainty. I’m on cycle 12 so I can relate. I get torn between not letting myself get excited like you do so I don’t get too disappointed but also wondering if I should try to be positive and hopeful that it will happen. I don’t know. I hope you treat yourself today. ❤️

Gracie2021 · 31/03/2021 15:34

@Lovebug06 I'm so sorry for you. Can't imagine the heartache at cycle 16. I don't have any great words of insight or consolation but just you're not alone and sending all the virtual hugs xxxxxx

Lovebug06 · 31/03/2021 15:22

Hi all,

AF has indeed shown. I have been in tears on and off all morning. Sometimes I wonder why I am doing this to myself, my heart hurts so much.

I know I can sound negative on these threads, regarding when I won't let myself think it'll happen and won't test early anymore. This is why. If I allowed myself to get really excited or test and got the negative I'd have felt even worse. I'm glad I didn't use the one DH went and excitedly got last night. I know he thought we had done it this time. I actually could feel this hope in me creeping in too. I keep repeating it won't happen, I think in a way to protect myself when it comes, not that it works 😂

Sorry for this. I think after this amount of time the heartache is partly now wondering if its ever going to happen for me.
I feel guilty for feeling and writing this but I think some of you will understand.

I think I can allow myself to be upset today, and tommrow will be a new day!

Cycle 16 here i am!

Cams50 · 31/03/2021 15:07

@TheDaydreamBelievers thank you! That is helpful. I’ll get it when I get offered it.

Cams50 · 31/03/2021 15:06

@crabette awww 😍 that’s so exciting. Glad it’s going well.

@Tillybabs I get thrush quite a lot but I now take a probiotic tablet twice a day and drink light yakults and eat live yoghurt so I really try to pack in that good bacteria 😂 you poor thing though, it’s not nice. Hopefully now you’ve ovulated you can take a break from BD and rest.

TheDaydreamBelievers · 31/03/2021 15:03

@Kay00 glad its helpful :-)

It's understandable that people feel nervous about it - the whole Covid19 situation brings up a load of emotions and TTC/pregnancy is something we care so much about.

Info also tends to get out of hand/become incorrect online because scientists and government are duty bound to give the cautious and accurate message "there's no mechanism by which it would be unsafe, and no proof it is unsafe, but no proof it is safe" - what that means is that they cant legally/ethically test it on preggo laddies (which is the only way to prove its safe) but a lot of people read it as 'its unsafe'. Also because other 'sources' (nonsense online...) are not duty bound the way government and scientists are, they tend to be very strident in their views and make huge claims everywhere (so the info on social media v quickly moves from 'no proof it isn't safe, no proof it is' to 'no proof its safe' to 'that means not safe!' to 'the covid19 vaccines impact on fertility/pregnancy!!!'.

Tillybabs · 31/03/2021 14:59

@Kay00 thanks. I do think I haven’t helped things because I’m not giving my body enough time to heal and have been BD-ing and that aggravates it . Think I just need to take a few weeks out and just get better first.

Kay00 · 31/03/2021 14:54

@thedaydreambelievers thank you!! I think, based on what you have shared, that I would get the vaccine if I was offered it before I got pregnant Smile

@Tillybabs I get thrush quite frequently but it usually calms down after a few of the pressary treatments. Sorry its refusing to go away, sounds like the antibiotics you took has caused an imbalance in your flora Sad I hope you are able to get on top of it soon x

Tillybabs · 31/03/2021 14:36

@Melissaq94 yes I was meant to tag you sorry. I remember you saying. So I don’t have an inflamed cervix but have thrush.

Both of ours are unexplained lol

I have an appointment at the fertility clinic in May so hoping it’s either cleared up by then or they can give me more insight into it.

I have no idea if her pregnancy is ok tbh as it’s early days. I hope so!

@TheDaydreamBelievers thanks for the info. That’s good to know.

TheDaydreamBelievers · 31/03/2021 14:06

Also @Melissaq94, RCOG and RCM say "The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) published updated advice on 30 December 2020 to say that women who are trying to become pregnant do not need to avoid pregnancy after vaccination.

Getting vaccinated before pregnancy will help prevent COVID-19 infection and its serious consequences. In some cases, women will need to make a decision about whether to delay pregnancy until after the vaccine becomes available to them. There is no evidence to suggest these types of vaccines cause issues with fertility. PHE will in due course publish its safety advice on the each of the COVID-19 vaccines"
