Post Pill Party - The Line Dance

Thank you for the welcomes I had a really bad night last night, got this real ache in my left arm that just stopped me from being able to sleep. Haven't had the vaccine so it's not that, has anyone else experienced this when coming off the pill? I'm sure it's not that and just a coincidence it fell on the first night without the pill ha!

@Kay00 I'm so sorry to hear they're not being supportive and sending you to the right place :( they nust don't realise they're the ones causing more stress!

@Kat668 Hi 🙋🏼‍♀️ my periods were really light when I stopped taking the pill I noticed they got heavier at the 6 month mark. I was lucky and my cycles popped back into a regular pattern straight away.

@Kay00 I’m not sure what to say, I feel gutted for you! I really hate the whole stress thing GPs hide behind do they really think the fact that people are asking for help and are not getting it is not more stressful? I really have to build myself up to talk to my doctor because they are so dismissive and its so disappointing. I agree with @Robyn101 easter egg chocolate always tastes better, get that easter egg!!!

Genuinely, I have been through some pretty stressful times in my life, but working from home, walking the dogs twice a day and focusing on relaxing and DIY which trying to conceive a baby is not one of them

Morning ladies. I spoke with my doctor this morning. She privately referred me to the Gastroenterologist and Dietician... but not to the fertility clinic ! She said me not ovulating is probably caused by stress and she wants to take 'one step at a time' - Urgh!

I wouldn't mind if I wasn't actually stressed!! Also... why say you would refer me, just to dash my hopes ??

At least I will be seen quickly my the private Gasto and Dietitian... and if I don't ovulate on this cycle then I might pay to get private fertility treatment too.

I might go out and buy myself a chocolate Easter egg just to cheer myself up - haha!

@Cams50 I rarely cry so think I just let it build up this month. I'm all about the AF treats though. Baths, relaxation of the healthy diet for a few days and no pressure of any kind to be productive for a couple days.

@Juno231 sorry about cycle 16 and work being a stress. Hope you're doing ok x great to hear of cheaper IVF options to have in the back pocket. Think I read some people go to Spain either.

Just catching up with messages as been super busy with work and looking for a new house. CD9 for me. Should be going for thyroid panel test on day 3 of my next period and they are also testing fertility hormones and other various things then I can start my thyroid medication. Let’s see if my body ovulated this month :/

We seem to be having a good month as a thread!

My CD16 almost ovulation didn’t happen. Body tried clearly and didn’t make it 🙃. I think ovulation was actually yesterday as I got my peak on Saturday and had a low temp on Sunday with it going up today. I do normally ovulate around cd22 so soy didn’t really make much of a difference ( only 2 days but I guess that’s better than nothing!)

@kat668 Welcome! It seems a lot of ladies have quite light periods when they first come off the pill 😊 don't let my 8 days and counting beast of a period put you off 🤣 it's exciting that you have made the decision to start TTC!

@thedaydreambelievers good luck for Friday... do you need to do anything to prepare?

I have successfully reintroduced lactose into my diet (after excluding it as part of the FODMAP diet)... which means I'll be hitting the milk chocolate pretty hard for the rest of the week 🙌😋

@Gracie2021 thank you! I’m not feeling too hopeful as nothing feels different to normal ya know? So sorry about AF. Lately I tend to have a cry when AF arrives and a morning of feeling SO sorry for myself and then get over it and onto the next cycle. Hello everyone hope you don't mind me joining :) I'm probably too early to post here so please do tell me to bog off if I am ha ha! Today is my first day off the pill. I've been on some form of pill for about 12 years and basically haven't had a period since then! Super nervous about having periods again so really hoping I get pregnant quickly!! Ha ha I think the thing that scares me the most is not knowing when it'll start or if there will be a withdrawal bleed, so reading these types of threads has been really helpful :)

Will be properly starting TTC literally on the 1st April ha ha!!

Over here I'm back to spotting. So 1 day spotting, 1 light bleed, 2 days spotting

Had Covid19 vaccine #1 (AZ) yesterday and didn't really have any side effects - little headache last night and tired this morning but I'm always tired. No fever this morning. Went hiking this afternoon (day off) so can't be that impacted!

Testing for APS is this Friday but unlikely to hear results for a v long time.

Thank you all for the birthday wishes. I celebrated at the weekend, but with it being like it is, it wasn't much of a celebration. My friend had her 30th last month so we will celebrate properly together when we can 🥂💃 but I had a lovely day anyway, my OH definitely spoilt me.

@Robyn101 Thanks for sharing your journey! Those are some crazy long cycles. Just goes to show, you are still nice and fertile on a long cycle if you can catch your ovulation

I called my GP today and have an appointment booked for 07:30-08:30 tomorrow morning - fingers crossed for a referral - eek!

So called Dr for results of swabs taken last week which are all normal and nothing noted against them. CD21 here so will know in 5 days if anything happening. Waiting on my ultrasound appt coming through but was able to register for my COVID vaccine this morning as that's them opened it up to unpaid Carers. I reiterated my request to ensure my file was coded as a carer when I called Dr for results. Apparently I'll hear in 72hrs. Mum had her 1st dose on Saturday and only side effects she's had are a headache, tender arm and sleeping for Britain.

@Tillybabs Yep! So one ‘period’ after my withdrawal bleed and now a BFP just a hell of a lot of time inbetween waiting around. Madness really I’ve been off the pill for 7 months but only had two ‘cycles’ as such

Wow that’s some long cycles you’ve had! So you only really had one proper period and now the BFP

Yes I know that feeling of feeling knackered after DTD lol although it was more my partner than me!

@juno231 just looking actually, if I take today’s test back off FF it says ‘1’ so I imagine it wanted me to test tomorrow but hey I’ve always been impatient 😂 Temp went back up a touch this morning and RHR went up another one to 66 (I’m normally in the 50s during period etc). Yep told OH more because I couldn’t believe what I was seeing he’s thrilled but we both know it’s crazy early just hoping for a sticky bean now

@Tillybabs of course here’s how I’ve got here.

I was on the pill (cilest most recently) for a good 10+ years with minimal breaks. Stopped taking them August 20, Withdrawal bleed 7 days after and then a whopping 137 day cycle which took me through to Jan 10th. I started taking Seven seas TTC in December and ovulated by 30th december, possibly coincidence? (Ov CD127 - 10 day luteal

This cycle has been up and down started Jan 10th, Taking seven seas TTC and vitamin D.
3 seperate periods of EWCM on CD17, CD30 and CD36 (FF gave me crosshairs and took them away on CD30)

finally ovulated on CD55. DTD O-2, O-1, O and O+2 (knackered after that 😂)

Today is 10DPO and a positive on a FRER with FMU

Symptom wise:
Headaches: 3,4,8 DPO
Twinges: 2,3 DPO
Fatigue: 7,8 DPO
Back ache: 8;9,10

Thinking back I’ve been feeling a bit bloated but just assumed PMS

I can’t make head no tail of my cycles, the length or what’s been going on so I’m just praying this beans sticky

@Robyn101 omg yes! beautiful line too! FF never tells me to test that early lol - it clearly had confidence in your chart . What did your temp do this morning btw? and have you told OH already?

@ChinChilly yeah and flights to Copenhagen from London are normally dirt cheap (I often have return flights for £60) so I'm definitely considering this for the summer.
