I don’t know much about coming off the pill but can it take up to a year for the body to adjust? I was wondering if yours could be doing that @climbershell

thislittlebird · 07/03/2021 11:29

@Marvellouslymadmum no! Get excited! You’re finally going to have some idea of where you stand which is good for making decisions and plans.

@Katiekattty I started it this month (along with supplements) and so far my cycle has been much less tumultuous in terms of PMS symptoms and I ovulated on cd14 (was ovulating later before), so far it seems positive.

climbershell · 07/03/2021 11:27

@thislittlebird I forgot to take lots of the pills in Feb 2020 and possible took part of a pack in March 2020, I can't remember, definitely had stopped by April

Katiekattty · 07/03/2021 11:22

@Kitekat81 I might join you with the acupuncture. I’m a big fan, I used to do it a lot when I was in the gym consistently. I’ve moved areas so I might need to research a good place to go.

Marvellouslymadmum · 07/03/2021 11:19

@thislittlebird that was my thinking, I have it here ready to take after tuesday is it weird to be excited about a blood test? I'm actually looking forward to it 😂

thislittlebird · 07/03/2021 10:40

Sorry to hear it’s dropped @Kitekat81. Are there fewer drugs involved in that type of ivf?

I tagged selina37 up there about mood and b6 but meant to tag @sickofthisyear

When did you come off the pill @climbershell?

I had a weird night. My skin was giving me hell and woke me up itching but I also had aching arms and shoulders which is different but feels better this morning.

Kitekat81 · 07/03/2021 10:21

Thanks @Noodella18.

Plans for next cycle: ferti-lily and castor oil packs. I've booked on to a couple of webinars to find out more about natural ivf, a different kind of ivf for people with low AMH. And keep waiting for the acupuncturists to re-open 🙄

Noodella18 · 07/03/2021 09:10

@Kitekat81 sorry to hear that Flowers good luck next month xx

climbershell · 07/03/2021 08:49

Now I'm worryingly I could have endometriosis. Hoping this is not likely, as many cycles are just mild pain. No pain during sex, most v light flow, no pain on bowel movement during AF, no spotting mid cycle & pain killers did work after a couple hours

It's also always at night the pain effects me, if that's relevant. It's gone back to mild cramps now

climbershell · 07/03/2021 08:34

I've just had a night of the most horrendous cramps. I was in agony. We had a late one but in bed 12:45, hot water bottle , paracetamol. Was rolling around in pain getting up loads so moved down to sofa at 1:30 and couldn't even attempt to sleep. Then took ibuprofen and about 2:30 they finally kicked in & I fell asleep

I get very painful cramps from time to time, esp since coming off the pill (used to as a school kid as well) never this bad tho (sometimes sleepless nights), not even particularly heavy. Hope doesn't mean some sort of fertility issue!

Kitekat81 · 07/03/2021 08:15

Temp dropped this morning, 12dpo. That's me out for another cycle 😢 AF due tomorrow.

thislittlebird · 06/03/2021 23:11

Oh yeah, then that shouldn’t cause you anything noticeable.

I know all the low progesterone threads I’ve read where women have taken b6 in higher doses it mentioned you’d get tender boobs, but maybe in lower/rda doses it helps to regulate hormones a bit. Balancing oestrogen and progesterone out should help some symptoms I’m sure.

climbershell · 06/03/2021 23:05

Just 100% RDA b6. Tho I read people take b6 to relieve boob pain and overdosing symptoms don't include boob pain or tiredness

Or variations on check with your GP, anyway. My b6 and ubiquinol both said the thing in the screenshot attached.

Vit C also attached as an example.

They all say check with your GP @TTCat39, even my probiotic supplements do Confused.

I think it’s just to cover themselves. Maybe when you get a BFP then yeah, check with the GP but most of these are fairly regular doses from H&B etc tmk.

sickofthisyear · 06/03/2021 22:00

@TTCat39 mine are just plain Vit B6 (not complex) from Holland and Barrett and I just went and checked the bottle and it just says to discuss with dr if pregnant or breastfeeding. Tbh it was either try these or start antidepressants/go back on contraception so I'm trying vitamins first! Maybe there's something else in the complex that needs dr chat?

TTCat39 · 06/03/2021 21:50

May I ask you ladies on vit B if you checked with your GP beforehand? I bought vit B complex and then read the back and it says not to take when trying to conceive without advice of my doctor.

thislittlebird · 06/03/2021 21:45

Good plan @Marvellouslymadmum, be able to see the real levels that way.

I think if it’s just a small amount of b6 in yours vits it shouldn’t cause you too much tenderness but maybe they’ve got a fair bit in @climbershell

Marvellouslymadmum · 06/03/2021 21:38

@thislittlebird will do! It'll definitely be interesting to find out, I haven't started taking the b6 yet even though I bought it because I thought I'd wait and see what my progesterone levels were on their own first.

@climbershell cycle day = cd we don't drink much either, rarely drink at home and only the odd pint if we go out which obviously this last year has not happened at all!

climbershell · 06/03/2021 21:38

Oh I have b6 in my conception vitamins, Tesco's own. They also include Folic Acid, Iron, Magnesium, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Zinc, Vitamin K, Vitamin D3, Vitamin B12 and a few others

I started with pregnacare, wasn't worried by the reviews saying alter period etc, well I was and then I realised that's silly they're just vitamins makes no sense. Switched to Tesco own as much cheaper and pretty much same vitamins and percentages. Neither affected my cycle

I have omega 3 separately

Just ordered CoQ10 300mg

thislittlebird · 06/03/2021 21:36

@selina37 my mood is much better than last month this time. I’m almost expecting no period because it’s such a contrast from the week ahead of AF last month. No ridiculous symptoms I’ve never had before, no cravings or excessive hunger, no headaches. I likely will get one by Monday because I do get hormonal migraines but that’s normal for me, all this other stuff wasn’t. I’m 10dpo today.

@climbershell cycle day 1 would be cd1

I had a red wine last night, didn’t bother tonight.

climbershell · 06/03/2021 21:26

My right boob still has pains, now cycle day 1 (is there an abbreviation for this?

Well to mark me not being pregnant I am living the rock and roll life with my first can of Pepsi Max in over 3 weeks 😅 (not much of a drinker, just the odd cider with a BBQ)

sickofthisyear · 06/03/2021 21:24

@thislittlebird to be honest I only started Vit b for PMS and my mood already seems so much better (so far...) so it's worth it anyway. Will see what this week brings. 6DPO today...

thislittlebird · 06/03/2021 21:15

Keep us posted on the b6 + symptoms @selina37. Will be interested to hear if you experience similar.

@sickofthisyear well you’re not out until you’re out and all that but yeah, it can do that apparently because it boosts up the progesterone. I’m just excited it might have done even that much since my last test was so pathetic lol

Oh that’s interesting @Marvellouslymadmum, let me know how you get on. I don’t get them often but sometimes I can get quite sore boobs for a few days pre AF, it’s quite rare though, months apart.

@Kitekat81 I hate those stupid few days before AF, can’t help but hope. Fingers crossed that temp stays up.

Marvellouslymadmum · 06/03/2021 20:54

@DorisX welcome to the group, lovely supportive lot of ladies here. Myself and dp are taking the pregnacare conception tablets and haven't found any issues with them I'm also taking a fair few extras too, let me know if you'd like the list haha

@thislittlebird interesting about the tender boobs being a progesterone thing as I never have sore boobs ever! I've got my bloods on Tuesday woohoo so will find out my levels after that!
