@KG1145 I'm so glad it went well with your friend! 😍 I've now stopped logging other symptoms as they're just too variable for me! 🤞🏻 for you this month!

@Twelvestars I know it's hard, but try not to regret your timing. I'm 36 and TTC#1. I can relate to everything you're saying as DH and I have been together a long time, but we just weren't ready for it - we love to travel etc. Now, I think we're in a mentally, emotionally, and financially better place for this! 😘 It's going to happen for us all, but it might just take a wee bit longer! 😃

@Marvellouslymadmum 🤞🏻 for you this month! Did you manage to find your peak too? I ended up being 32 days last cycle! 🤷🏻‍♀️

@Pamparam it's really tough - sending you much love! 😘 what cycle day are you now? Do you think you may have ovulated early?

@WrongendoftheSTIX yay to peak! Get on it! 🤪😈🤣

Hope everyone else is doing good! Anyone else not wanting to work today?! 🤪🤣

Farfaraway1 · 09/03/2021 08:14

Hi ladies, can I jump on here too.. I’m 37 and ttc no. 3. I’m bit of a sob story really 🤦🏻‍♀️ I’ve been off the pill for 15 months, had a MMC last year which ended up being an incomplete mc which wasn’t picked up until 2 months later so went in for a D&C. Following that had a CP. A few years ago I also had an ectopic pregnancy that ruptured so now only have one tube. I feel so blessed to have my 2 beautiful boys but feel very strongly like someone is missing. I lost my mum to cancer 2.5 years ago, before she went she told me I would have a third 💖 I’ve had an ultrasound and blood work to double check all is ok, which it is, and just got smear results back today which were all clear too. It’s been about 8 months since the D&C surgery so fingers crossed we get a BFP soon.. I’m waiting for AF to hurry up and turn up so we can start a new cycle.. thanks for reading! X

sickofthisyear · 08/03/2021 22:41

@KG1145 so glad to hear it helped. Well done for being brave- I'm glad you could spend that time with your friend. ☺️

KG1145 · 08/03/2021 21:11

Sorry to hear of the AF arriving. Fingers crossed for this next cycle!

I mentioned to my partner earlier about buying the frer tests and it meaning I could test early. He just rolled his eyes. He has no idea! Wish I could be as patient as him! On the other hand, I want to find out as early as possible as my consultant recommended started progesterone as soon as I get a positive... My justification for testing early lol Wink

KG1145 · 08/03/2021 21:05

Hope you're all well. I met up with my friend today and feel so much better for it. There were bits that were hard but it wasnt really her talking about anything baby related that triggered anything it was when the conversation turned to my MC and ttc journey. Overall though, so glad I went. Ttc is such a lonely time, especially so during lockdown, and it really helped me being able to talk to her about it all.

So, 8dpo now and getting very impatient. No real symptoms or anything. Odd bit of pelvic pain but been having that from 4dpo so that would too early. Some watery/ewcm... No idea what's going on there! I'm slowly coming to the conclusion that every month is totally different! Hmm

My frer tests haven't arrived yet thankfully so can't test... Otherwise I think I would have caved!

Twelvestars · 08/03/2021 20:48

@WrongendoftheSTIX if it’s possible, just dtd anyways until ewcm shows up and continue after it does. How long is your cycle usually?

Twelvestars · 08/03/2021 20:38

@thislittlebird I can totally relate... This feeling of “regret” or wishing to have started earlier just eats at me every single moment of every single day. We had no valid reason to delay trying yet we kept delaying... I mean we were a bit unsure or maybe I was more unsure but then it suddenly hit me that I wanted to be a mother and so very badly. Should’ve listened to the urging of loved ones around me, who for years urged me to try and not delay. Anyways, what’s done is done.

I will also go for assisted ASAP as well. Will be seeing a fertility doctor soon. I hope, if it’s an issue with me, that it’s sorted with just clomid. That would be a dream.

May is just round the corner for you! Meanwhile obviously you’re gonna keep trying and who knows, it might happen for you before the appointment!

thislittlebird · 08/03/2021 20:21

@Twelvestars yeah, our first. Wishing I’d started a few years earlier now tbh. This is cycle 14 probably, started October 2019 with a break early 2020. Waiting on our referral appointment for the fertility clinic which is in May and really hoping to be pregnant this year. Going to move to try to start assisted as soon as we can after the appointment (maybe with clomid or something initially, not sure).

You’re braver than me testing, I find it so stressful (because negatives) so just don’t bother. AF is due tomorrow according to fertility friend.

Twelvestars · 08/03/2021 20:11

@Marvellouslymadmum well happy birthday in advance! Goodluck with the tests! I feel this will be very helpful for you both in addressing whatever issues there may be. We are most probably going to see a doctor very very soon as I feel time is not on our side.

Twelvestars · 08/03/2021 20:05

@thislittlebird are you trying for your first btw? We are! I am 37 and turn 38 in November and would love to be pregnant before - whether naturally or medically assisted.

Just to give you ladies an idea of where I’m at mentally, I took 3 pregnancy tests (cheapies) over the past 3 days and was prepping myself for one today. Went into the toilet to collect a urine sample then wiped and lo and behold there she was: AF 😭 at least I saved another pregnancy test for the next cycle.

WrongendoftheSTIX · 08/03/2021 18:02

I'm trying to catch up with the thread. It's moved so quickly!
I'm on CD 10 and got peak on the CB this morning. Bit odd as usual get lots of EWCM but not a sign of it so far...bit odd but the CB Digi stick will be frozen now so can't retest.
Internet cheapies don't seem to work for me. Rarely get a clear high.

thislittlebird · 08/03/2021 16:57

@KG1145 buying FRERs in your sleep is a new one lmao. I didn’t sleep well at all, was awake most of the night.

@Kitekat81 maybe it is because you’re in Scotland and there’s slightly different rules. I don’t think my one was seeing as many people as she normally would either.

I think that might be why I’ve been good at not googling this month @Twelvestars @Pamparam, I did so much googling last month I know all the answers lol (which is, without fail, maybe it’s a symptom but maybe it’s PMS so I’m just assuming PMS now)

Marvellouslymadmum · 08/03/2021 16:55

@Twelvestars yes of course, I am 41 but only for another couple of weeks lol I have two teenagers from my previous relationship, my current partner and I have been together 5 years we had an accidental pregnancy almost four years ago but that unfortunately ended in mc then we waited a while before actually ttc which was a year later, we've also had two cp and another mc in that time. And we are currently having tests etc with the docs to find out what's going on. It definitely does take its toll on the mental health though

@Pamparam love that you've completed google 😂 I feel I may be close to this!

Twelvestars · 08/03/2021 16:14

@KG1145 thanks and you too! Btw I have been reading about your issue with your best friend. I haven’t told anyone we are ttc but I can understand how it can be tough finding ourselves surrounded by loved ones who are successfully conceiving. It requires such internal strength to be happy for them and with them regardless of our misfortune.

@thislittlebird I have almost googled the heck out of all symptoms haha and I think I’ve covered all related topics on all forums - past and present - during my 3 months of ttc 😅👌🏻

@Pamparam hopefully you will ovulate. Fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻

@M4v3r1ck thanks! As @Pamparam said, this thread is moving so fast and I haven’t been able to keep up with all of you ladies here. But it just gives me such solace to know that I share this journey (and/or struggle) with women my age and similar situation.

Twelvestars · 08/03/2021 15:50

@Marvellouslymadmum wow ttc for 3 years! I have only been ttc for 3 months and the emotional toll is starting to weigh heavily on me. My husband is very positive bless him and I try to keep positive but it’s hard. How old are you if I may ask? And do you have any children?

climbershell · 08/03/2021 14:48

I asked my partner to chase his SA results Thurs, he didn't. His day off today, bugged him to try, doc not answering phone. Asked him again coupled times, he's getting irritated at me keep asking but it's so important to me. If he does have any issue, even mild I know it takes 3 months of supplements etc before they can improve sperm. He just doesn't ever over think anything or play on his mind, whereas TTC is pretty much always on my mind!

Only cd3 today 🙄 hate this limbo time where can't even try

Marvellouslymadmum · 08/03/2021 14:18

@M4v3r1ck I'm doing ok thank you, 8dpo here and wondering what length my cycle will be this time 😂

@Magnum99 the opk stickers never worked for me the only ones I've got a peak on are the clearblue advance digital ones

@KG1145 I lolled at you ordering frer in your sleep 😂

Pamparam · 08/03/2021 13:18

This thread moves on so fast! Hope @climbershell is feeling better and sending you best wishes @KG1145. The dread of the due date approaching after MMC is sadly familiar to me.

Welcome @Twelvestars.

I’m on day 4 of blank face on CB, which has never happened before, very strange indeed. Usually start day 9/10 and have one or max 2 before flashing face arrives. Perhaps I won’t ovulate this month or it’ll be very late?! 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think I completed google when spotting symptoms last month, if I can resist even slightly this time, I’ll be pleased.

sickofthisyear · 08/03/2021 12:54

@KG1145 😂 ordering FRER in your sleep! I've got some coming today- I try not to use them too early as have had some misleading lines/indents in the past.
I'm same with worrying if Vit B having an effect on cycle. I've been v predictable for last 3 months- 28 days, OPK peak on CD14 so I will know if 'somethings up'.

M4v3r1ck · 08/03/2021 12:45

Hey ladies! 😃

@KG1145 I'm so sorry and I completely relate! I echo what the others are saying - I'd just be honest and say how you're feeling. A good friend would completely understand! 😘

@Marvellouslymadmum @Sleeeeeepy yup, my BBT was like that too! So in a bizarre way, it's actually reassuring that our bodies are behaving in a similar crazy manner! 🤪 Onwards to a fresh cycle for me! How are you both doing now?

@Kitekat81 @thislittlebird sending you much love in these decisions! It's so incredibly frustrating as you say, you're having to potentially spend a lot of money for something that's free! 😔 Is there no way that NHS referrals can be expedited?

@Katiekattty @DorisX @Twelvestars welcome to this lovely group! 😃

@Magnum99 don't worry I never seem to have any joy with OPKs - I needed to be dehydrated and leave them for about 8 mins to see lines! I'm going to try CB as heard lots of good things!

Happy Monday to everyone! Really hoping this will be a BFP heavy thread!!! 😍😍😍

Magnum99 · 08/03/2021 12:05

Anyone used the cheap OPK's from b&m's?
Never used any OPK's before but this month I wasn't sure if I would ovulate as I bleeding for 11 days after what I think was maybe a CP.

I can usually tell when I'm ovulating (or at least I think I can) due to EWCM and twinges, just wanted confirmation on a stick, so hubby picked these up from b&m for £2.99 for 5.

But not convinced they work, pretty sure I ovulated yesterday but according to these tests my LH has remained low, I think the line was a little darker on Saturday than it was on Friday but still classed as low.

So now I don't know if the tests are just crap or if I haven't actually ovulated 🤷🏻‍♀️

We DTD Thursday night / Saturday night / Sunday night and might do it again tonight for good luck, so if I did ovulate yesterday then hopefully we're covered.

pinkpirlie · 08/03/2021 12:02

Just catching up on the thread.
@TTCat39 and others so sorry AF came again.

I feel we will be the same again this month. Usual 8DPO painful boobs started this morning.
I also had two ovulation attempts which threw things off a little and never got a peak on my OPK although I got strong ish lines around CD15, I ovulated CD16 last month. Then again 3-4 days later they returned but paler, when I assume I actually ovulated as I got a sustained BBT increase.

We are only month 2 of TTC actively, although haven't been careful since last summer.

When I spoke to the doctor about the higher strength folic acid she's referred my partner for SA already. She said we may as we get him tested and then told me to come back later in the year if we aren't successful.

Kitekat81 · 08/03/2021 11:33

@KG1145 I've not had a pregnancy in nearly 12 months of temping, so I don't exactly know how my chart would behave if I was pregnant, but temp is supposed to stay elevated or increase if you're pregnant, and falls if you are not pregnant. Mine almost without fail starts to go down about 2 days before AF, which for me is 11dpo. Only a couple of cycles it's still been high at 12dpo, I've felt hopeful and done a hpt, but both times they were negative and my temp dropped the next day on the morning of AF. It's good in that I save a lot of money on pregnancy tests, I've just got my £9.99 thermometer and my premom app, and don't have to put myself through the torture of testing! But I know some people find temping stressful, so it's swings and roundabouts really.

Yeh it's so annoying about the acupuncturists. I've contacted two and both have said they can't take me at the moment because of Covid. I don't know whether it's because I'm in Scotland, maybe things are stricter here? Or maybe each practitioner has to reduce their patient numbers, and they would place me as a lower priority as a new patient? I don't know. I know that in the scheme of things there are a lot worse ways to be affected by Covid than not being able to access an acupuncturist. I feel so sorry for people who had fertility treatments cancelled or delayed, I know that would be much worse. It's just that part of me wonders if acupuncture could be the thing that makes a difference for me, and I don't exactly have all the time in the world as I'm considering ivf in the next 6 months, so it is frustrating not to have the option to at least try it.

TTCat39 · 08/03/2021 11:32

Thanks for sharing all your knowledge on the vit B's. I've booked an appt with my GP to talk about that and other fertility concerns (in two weeks good job I won't be going out of my mind for the next fortnight or anything...) I can ring up and hang on the phone every morning hoping to get an earlier one. How do actual poorly people go on with that?! Last thing I'd feel like doing would be to listen to an engaged tone for an hour every morning whilst writhing in pain. But I'll leave the NHS-is-on-it's-knees chat for another thread!

@KG1145 I'm sorry you've had the stressful situation with your friend's pregnancy on top of every other feeling we have to manage. I haven't told anyone we are TTC but would really
like to speak to my close friend about it - We have said in the past how lovely it would be to both be on maternity leave and experience pregnancy together. She became pregnant about a year ago, before we were ready, and I was so very very happy for her, and then she very sadly miscarried at 8 weeks. Now we're trying, I don't want to burden her with our problems, or stir up feelings she isn't ready for. As much as I would like her support, and for me to support her. If they are / aren't trying again themselves, I am not sure. I know from my own experience how emotive this time is and it must be so much more so having miscarried before.
Sending you every best wish for you and your BFP. Thanks

KG1145 · 08/03/2021 10:58

@sickofthisyear I could sleep last night, woke up this morning with an email from amazon saying thanks for your order. I had no recollection! Turns out I'd ordered 4 frer tests at 2.30 this morning!

I think I'll test Thursday or Friday. According to the website they detected a positive in 96% 4 days before their expected period. I've told myself at least this way I'll cut down the tww by 4 days.... Who am I kidding though, I'll still test every day until after AF has started 'just in case it's implantation bleed'!

Appart from the pain on my right in my pelvic (which I'm sure isn't related) I have had no symptoms although I keep telling myself it'd be too early anyway Confused
