@thislittlebird you can deffo have the vaccine whilst taking prednisolone. Unfortunately my sister was recently diagnosed with leukaemia :( and was put straight on prednisalone whilst they were awaiting further test results to decide on treatment. Because she is clinically vulnerable she had the vaccine at that point too.

But I guess this is all academic anyway because who knows when they will be offering vaccines to our age group? I'm coming round to the idea of having the vaccine even if pregnant, provided there is some data around the effect on unborn babies from other pregnant women who have had it. I have read a few reports recently about pregnant mums who have ended up in ICU and not seen their newborns for 2 weeks because they had covid, and also about stillbirths in Ireland linked to covid during pregnancy. At least with the vaccine any data about any potential effects is recorded and studied (albeit not within a clinical trial) and I can make an informed decision, whereas this virus seems like a total wildcard and we know even less about what the effects might be on babies in the womb.

It's super light ans only visable at certain angles.

Ill test again tomorrow although would be tempted to try a clear blue one if I could squeeze some more wee out 😬

Trying not to get my hopes up too much as I've heard with frer they can have an indenent line. Fingers crossed though!

I shouldnt have tested early because now I have the is it a line isn't it going around my head 🙈

I just tried to share a picture but it hasn't worked

Morning all and welcome @merrynelly! 😃

@Kitekat81 basically said everything that I think - are you reading my mind, girl?! Especially re: travel and telling folk! 🤪🤣 But yeah, I'm just going to continue on TTC, then speak to the pharmacist etc when I'm offered the vaccine and take their advice from there! Although the vaccines are different, I know the flu vaccine is recommended for pregnant woman, so that's also reassuring! 😃

Hope everyone has a good day today! 😘

Marvellouslymadmum · 10/03/2021 23:11

@thislittlebird I have a vision of my oh walking around with his little pot of joy 😂

To be honest I don't think they even asked what medications I was on just made sure I wasn't feeling ill already

thislittlebird · 10/03/2021 23:09

@Marvellouslymadmum I’m thinking I’ll have to postpone my second dose in April because I’ll be on prednisolone. I don’t think vaccines close to taking it are recommended.

thislittlebird · 10/03/2021 23:07

@Marvellouslymadmum yeah I can imagine, my husband said it’s not a nice room and really awkward. On the Rhod Gilbert doc he had to put his sample in a little hole in the wall with a door. My husband has to take his for a journey around the hospital and surrounding area Confused

@Pamparam acupuncture is Saturday, but I don’t know whether to go with my skin like this right now. Might message her and tell her in advance.

@climbershell we live too far from the hospital he has to go to to take it in

Marvellouslymadmum · 10/03/2021 23:01

@merrynelly I've actually just had my Covid vaccine this month. It was at the beginning of my fw therefore I couldn't actually be pregnant yet and spoke to each person at the testing centre as I went on my little round of people (pharmacist, nurse and doctor) and they each said they would only advise against it if you were actually pregnant and even then that's only because they don't know enough about it during pregnancy but some women have had it and have had no bad effects on them or the baby. I'm due my second jab on 22nd may I think and if I happened to be lucky enough to get my bfp by then (almost 3 years ttc) I would consider postponing the second until after I'd had the baby.

thislittlebird · 10/03/2021 22:58

I’ve had my first dose already @merrynelly because getting covid isn’t something I think my body will deal well with. But I probably wouldn’t have a my second dose if I got pregnant in the meantime. This is very unlikely to happen before my second dose.

Leaflet they gave me with it says avoid ttc for two months after the second dose and I’m about to go to sleep and forget the reason why, but there was one.

Kitekat81 · 10/03/2021 22:36

@merrynelly have you been offered the vaccine or are you asking hypothetically? I'm carrying on with ttc (nothing's going to stop me doing that!) then when it's my turn for a vaccine I will tell them I'm ttc and find out what their advice is, whether to take the vaccine or wait. They are gaining new information all the time about the safety of the vaccine when ttc and in pregnancy. I'm more worried about the possibility of vaccine passports for travel, and not being able to get one of those if advised not to get the vaccine! Also a little bit nervous of what I'll do when everyone our age is getting their vaccine, no doubt it's all everyone will be talking about! Would I lie and say I've had it, so I wouldn't have to tell people I'm ttc? 🤔

Pamparam · 10/03/2021 22:08

I would have the vaccine if offered it now, and while pregnant too. There’s nothing about it that worries me at all. What I would not like is to have Covid while pregnant. I had the flu jab last time too, because falling ill with a high temperature would be bad news all round.

climbershell · 10/03/2021 22:03

@merrynelly I'm not planning on having the vaccine til after I've given birth tbh

climbershell · 10/03/2021 22:02

Do most of your OH have to use a 'wank station'? Mine did it at home then drove in to drop off at his allotted time

My CoQ10 arrived today, do I take it every day of the cycle? My first set of opk arrived too

I'm maybe different to everyone else, because of my business quiet and busy periods, a Nov-Feb birth would be best! If successful this cycle it'll be a 6 Dec due date. Admittedly next cycle 1st/2nd Jan wouldn't be great for a bday but not going to pause TTC!

KG1145 · 10/03/2021 21:30

@merrynelly

Hi ladies, I did do a separate thread about this but received no replies so hope you don't mind me asking on here. I just wondered if with TTC you're ultimately accepting that should you get pregnant now you won't have your coronavirus jab until after the baby is born? I'm unsure if I should hold off on TTC until I've had my jab? Sorry if my question sounds a bit weird but my biological clock is ticking and every month counts!
Argh you know what, I hadn't really thought about it. 😬 I've heard it's fine when breastfeeding but don't think it's routinely recommended during pregnancy.

Personally if I was fortunate to fall pregnant I would not have the jab until after. Obviously if the advice changes I'd reconsider. I'd just keep on with the cautious approach with social distancing. Ive been working from home though. Maybe id feel differently if I was in a higher risk profession.

I feel like I've put my ttc journey on hold too much already as a result of coronavirus. I personally wouldn't want to wait longer for a vaccine that I didn't know when I might get it in the future 🤷‍♀️

Marvellouslymadmum · 10/03/2021 21:08

@M4v3r1ck all went well thank you, I've been told to call tomorrow afternoon if I haven't heard anything yet as the doc is only in tomorrow and Monday! So hopefully I'll find out something by tomorrow

M4v3r1ck · 10/03/2021 20:48

Happy hump day ladies! 😈 how are we all?

@Marvellouslymadmum bargain re: the gel! How did you get on with your blood tests yesterday?

@Pamparam bodies are a mare! Think you and I have the same luck with OPKs!!! 🤪🤦🏻‍♀️ Still got my 🤞🏻 for you this cycle though!

@Twelvestars yup, it's the overthinks, the panics and the impatience that drives me mad! It's nice to have people (albeit virtually) to share this journey with and make the load easier! 😘 Re: cycles I'm sure a few ladies on here mentioned seven seas and other supplements were good for increasing cycle length! 🤔

@thislittlebird I'm so glad you had a good appointment and have a plan going forwards! What an enormous relief that must be! 😍 wank station! 🤣🤣🤣

@Noodella18 gaaarrrr that's so typical! Hopefully it's just a short 24 hr or so bug snd you can catch the FW!!! 🤞🏻 feel better soon, lovely! 😘

@sickofthisyear boo to BFN! But it's still early so 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 @KG1145 same for you too!

@Misty84 @TTCat39 I think we're cycle buddies! CD7 here, so just started my CB testing to hopefully catch a peak this month! 😃🤞🏻 FW is supposed to start from weekend onwards! 😈

Pamparam · 10/03/2021 20:47

I conceived my toddler doing it just the once, the morning after I got my positive OPK (ie 24 hours later) @Noodella18. Just for what it's worth!

KG1145 · 10/03/2021 20:03

@Noodella18

Right, so I don't think tonight is going to happen for a shag due to still feeling rough.

App is saying ovulation is due on Saturday and although it's the first month of using it and not doing bbt I do usually get some ewcm around CD14 so I guess that tallies. Question is, what's the latest we can get jiggy and still be in with a shot? Is ovulation day itself too late?

I though ovulation day or 24/48 hours after. Someone else mught know better than me though. Hope you feel better soon

@thislittlebird wank station 😂😂😂

@sickofthisyear sorry about the bfn but still early days 🤞

KG1145 · 10/03/2021 17:33

@sickofthisyear

Hi all- *@Noodella18* sorry you're both poorly Sad the bad timing is so frustrating, maybe it'll be a 24 hr thing? I've started POAS. BFN at 10DPO 😕 so despite lots of symptoms it's not looking great for this month. I agree, would rather a Dec b'day (which DD has) than a Jan one, but I don't think it will impact on our plans. I really don't feel we can afford to 'waste' a month at this point for that kind of reason. Birthdays are what you and your family make of them. We've always made DDs (mid Dec) really special, just need to plan far in advance to ensure its pencilled in as Dec is so busy.
I nearly tested today @sickofthisyear I'm also 10dpo. In my view there's a slim chance of a positive at 10dpo but given Im counting from when I got a clear blue smiley it shows the peak which happens before ovulation. Ovulation can take 48 hours to happen i think. If so it might take a bit longer for the hormones to show. Fingers crossed itll happen for us yet!

I bought the frer tests which 'can' show from 6 days early. I do wonder what cycle length that's based on though because surely that makes a difference... This was all going through my head this morning when I woke up desperate for a wee but not wanting to waste the first wee of the day if I wanted to test!

The over thinking that goes into the tww! Confused

Pamparam · 10/03/2021 16:48

Wank station 😂

Sounds super positive @thislittlebird. When’s the next acupuncture session?

Sorry about bfn @sickofthisyear

Marvellouslymadmum · 10/03/2021 14:11

@thislittlebird omg 😳 😂 that made me laugh about the waiting area outside the wank station! I really do this that's what putting my oh off getting one cos he doesn't want to go to the clinical room or find out he has duff swimmers lol
