Oh I'm glad it's not just me, I spent a week before joining in trying to understand the abbreviations! Who knew TTC was so complicated in more ways than 1 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I was conscious when I was typing earloer there are so many abbreviations.

@lexber if it helps of the top of my head...

OPK - ovulation tests (not sure what that actually stands for tbh)
CB - clear blue tests
FW - fertile week
CD1 - cycle day 1 (from first day of period)
2DPO - two days post ovulation
CP - chemical pregnancy
MC - miscarriage
MMC - missed miscarriage
Poas - pee on a stick... I kept reading this as polysistic ovary at first and got very confused!
2ww - two week wait
SA - semen analysis
Frer - first reponse pregnancy tests, most sensitive but as you may have seen some have an indent line which can be annoying
IC - not sure what this one is tbh
WS - Wank Station... Newly added following earlier comments on this thread 😂

@selina37 I think the B6 has made a massive difference to my PMS mood. 👍

I am aware of the stress and progesterone issues @KG1145 and I suspect that is what’s happening to me.

Don’t know about acupuncture helping progesterone because I haven’t had a test to confirm but I could feel the b6 increasing it. When I took the b6 pill in the afternoon this cycle I would get sore boobs by bedtime, but they’d be less sore again by the morning, then I’d take the next tablet and off we go again. I had boobs like a rollercoaster this month. Hence why I was fairly sure I wasn’t pregnant when the dermatologist offered me a test and I said no because they didn’t stay sore, just fluctuated daily.

I’m a bit worried tbh. I was scheduled for acupuncture this Saturday and I rescheduled today because I wasn’t sure about sticking anything in my skin right now while I’m on the steroids and while my skin is still flared up. I don’t know what to do. I’ve asked to reschedule for April, but I worry my periods will go all wonky donkey again in the meantime and they’ve been so good this month 😭. Back to normal, no crazy symptoms etc. I feel really conflicted over it but it’s too late now, it’s rescheduled. I guess it’ll be a test to see what my ovulation does this month without a session. I won’t be going again until my next cycle has just started but now I’m regretting panicking and rescheduling.
@sickofthisyear sorry to sound stupid but what is a chemical pregnancy?

I have strips in the post, and have been taking vitamins since jan including FA just to make me feel better in myself and today a BIG one for me - I had a decaf costa haha Grin
No such thing as a stupid question! See link below. Some people disagree with the term and prefer to say miscarriage. Basically they're very common and really we only know of them because tests are so sensitive now. If I hadn't tested before period came I would never have known. Got positive on 4 different types of tests. But some people prefer to know as it means you're at least ovulating and conceiving even it doesn't stick. Personal choice.

Speaking of which, I read a fairly interesting book over Christmas about conception talking of how women are reporting them more than ever because of the increasingly sensitive pregnancy tests. In the past they might have assumed late period and so on.

thislittlebird · 12/03/2021 16:59

It’s a very early miscarriage @Lexber. I never knew either until I hung out on mumsnet. You’ll see people talking about their bfp lines vanishing not long after they got them etc after a while.

selina37 · 12/03/2021 16:45

@Loladoodle hey! Ok over here, my mood seems to have improved at this point of the TWW for the last couple of months' cycles. How are you doing?

And just read what @KG1145 said about stress having an impact on progesterone, so maybe I'm less stressed in general (house move out of the way and feel generally more settled etc) or maybe it's the B6? 🤔 But I've only started that this month really.

Either way, I find I'm able to tolerate my boss more these days so maybe I'm just less stroppy in general 🤣🤣
@Geriatric1234 my oh said that after abstaining for three days in advance he was going to shatter his cup with the strength of his offload 🤣🤣🤣
CHOKING on my decaf! 🤣

sickofthisyear · 12/03/2021 16:14

@lexber it's totally possible that it's come early, could start testing for ovulation anyway to give you get a better idea of your cycle? For what it's worth, I had Mirena removed early May, chemical preg June and BFP end July, so it can happen quickly! Good luck!!

OP posts:
Lexber · 12/03/2021 15:57

I'm now questioning even more if my period has come early due to the removal as I've started bleeding fresh red today and feeling all the old feelings I used to get when I actual had one... which sucks now but means I could be in the race even earlier than I thought as I was initially due next week?!

I feel so confused and out of my depth it's unreal haha I'm reading all the posts and abbreviations and trying to guess what they all are Hmm

Lexber · 12/03/2021 15:50

@Twelvestars I think I find out in the day. I don't mind either tbh xx

Marvellouslymadmum · 12/03/2021 15:10

@Misty84 we are jab twins lol

@Twelvestars the results for the fsh and Lh are equivalent to what they should be in the luteal phase though they're supposed to be equal rather than one much higher than the other from what I've read. Progesterone & oestrogen are a good bit higher than the maximum and all the doctor said was 'all your results are fine, nothing to worry about, you ovulated this month so that's it we won't do any more tests' which was very unhelpful. I've booked a chat with a different doctor on Monday to try and make more sense of it a bit better and find out what I can do now because I know they're not supposed to just say that's it off you go!

@KG1145 if you've got a darker line today I doubt it'll be an indent 🤞🏻 for you

🤞🏻 for you too @sickofthisyear

KG1145 · 12/03/2021 13:28
@KG1145 sorry, don't want to worry you- if it helps this was 10DPO on my last pregnancy- not that dissimilar!
Thank you 😘

I've come to conclusion that I am a worrier regardless.

BTW when I was googling about progesterone I read that stress can have a big impact on it. I've booked into see the acupuncturist next Saturday as I really feel that made a big difference for this this month in terms of anxiety and stress levels.

I can't remember who the other acupuncture ladies were. Are you still going?

Loladoodle · 12/03/2021 13:18

@selina37 forgot to give you a wee mention cycle buddy, how you feeling?

Loladoodle · 12/03/2021 13:18

@KG1145 I would keep your appointment but yes see the gp and see what is recommended. Great it’s a darker line today! 🙏 it continues to get darker each day and confirmed on a digi ASAP! Keep positive ✨

I’m about 6dpo here... nothing to report. Have been super busy lately with plenty of welcome distractions from ttc which is always good for me and stops me obsessing.

We are on cycle 13 now and will be ttc a year next month- can’t believe how quickly it’s gone in. We did say we’d only try for a year but with that approaching imminently I am definitely not ready to stop trying. Our new and final date for stopping is end of this year- hopefully we will have a baby by then! Never mind still ttc!! Has anyone else got an “end date” or will you keep trying?

Thanks for the words of wisdom ladies... trying to chill out and relax. I think that's the most I can do tbh.

I have a drs appointment Tuesday morning and the blood tests Tuesday afternoon so I'll mention it to the Dr and see what he advises.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend

KG1145 · 12/03/2021 13:08

@sickofthisyear

Hi ladies, 12DPO here and pretty sure I'm out this month. I know my cycle and the signs just aren't there. BFN on all tests also. Just using IC now. Caved and used a FRER a few days ago- see attached for awful evap/indent on it which was there before I opened the holder 😡. On to next month, but that may be our last try for many reasons. *@KG1145* -very exciting. Stay positive (literally 😂)! 🤞🏻
This is what I'm worried out, I've heard this about FRER tests - only after I'd bought some though. That line is similar to what I've been getting. Gosh I hope it's not been indent lines!

Keeping fingers and toes crossed for you @sickofthisyear

My fried who is now 8 months preganant test the day before her period was due and got a negative. She's had a healthy pregnancy all through. Still hope until AF arrives

Twelvestars · 12/03/2021 13:03

@Marvellouslymadmum your FSH and LH results are good although you didn’t do the test during CD2-CD5. Even progesterone and estrogen are not too far off I feel. Did they not explain your results, particularly the latter two? And did they not give any particular advice on how to proceed from this point?

Misty84 · 12/03/2021 12:41

Has taken me the best part of an hour catching up!!🥵🤪
It’s actually been so nice taking a break from focusing on TTC, but as ovulation approaches obviously it’s all starting up again! 🤦‍♀️

@M4v3r1ck Are we cycle buddies? I’m on CD9.

@Marvellouslymadmum My 2nd jab is also on 22nd May! And I have exactly the same view as you on it.

@KG1145 Congratulations! 🙂

And a big welcome to all the new ladies! Xx

Exciting times @KG1145. I have everything crossed that the line keeps getting darker.

@Geriatric1234 now, that's a positive attitude to having to 'milk the magic stick' into a cup Grin
My DH had to do it at home and get it to the Dr super fast but more relaxing than a 'special room' in the hospital.
