@Marvellouslymadmum thanks, I'll look those up :). I read it can also be caused by a prolactinoma, which I have, but my prolactin levels are under control. Luckily I have a checkup and bloods in June with my endocrinologist, so I can ask him then if there's anything I should be concerned about hormone-wise (if I don't get a BFP beforehand).

thislittlebird · 17/03/2021 13:26

Typos ugh

thislittlebird · 17/03/2021 13:26

Yeah the monitor is fine bit is fine for me @Marvellouslymadmum because it’s super easy but the sticks really annoy me. I could swallow the price more if I was getting 20 for £20 but £30 for 20 plus unnecessary pregnancy tests? Annoying af. The tests just irk me, it’s not like I can use them or sell them, they’re going to go to landfill unused. 🙄

Seems you can get 30 packs of just the ovulation tests in the US on Amazon but not here 😑. Cheapest is £26 on fertility doctor site, whoever that is.

Marvellouslymadmum · 17/03/2021 12:38

@thislittlebird this was the sole reason for me buying the cb advance digital connected instead! I looked at the price of the monitor on eBay usually around £45-£60 then looked up the prices of the sticks even on eBay seemed to be £25 for 20 then the price of the ones I'm using which also has an app that it automatically connects to and tells Me when to test etc and went for that option is I'm paying £25 for 25 tests

@SunAndSea37 hi, I was on celest and when I came off (3 years ago) I waited 5 weeks for my first af then things were pretty much straight into a semi regular cycle

@Lalala1985 hi and welcome I think there are supplements you can take to help lengthen your Lp

@KG1145 if I ever get another bfp I think I will be like this too wanting to test all the time 😂

Loladoodle · 17/03/2021 12:29

@KG1145 we love seeing your sticks here! Save them for us!! 😅

@selina37 you are quite right, a wee short cycle has ensured the twinning is accurate 😆 twinning and winning bfps hopefully 🙏

Sleeeeeepy · 17/03/2021 12:27

Congratulations @KG1145 !! That's such a good line, I hope everything works out for you xx

selina37 · 17/03/2021 12:03

@Loladoodle I need to do some exercises then 😂 To be honest my cramps usually start a while before AF (though never too painful) and can be on/off or quite constant so I'm pleased to have got this far!

Ah you're just a day behind me now! That's why you had that short cycle - to keep up with me!!

KG1145 · 17/03/2021 11:51

@Loladoodle

Welcome newbies 🤗 best of luck 🍀 you will be well supported here, we are a lovely bunch (a tad bias I know 😉)

@KG1145 fabulous news! What a lovely strong line ❤️ I think it’s digi time for you!!! Eeeeeek! Of course you can stay here 🤗 I also bought 50 preggo tests yesterday as I have no will power and have wasted a few frers so makes sense to stock up on the cheapies to at least satisfy my impulsive poas habit 😆

My amazon order hadn't arrived yet so will have to wait for the digital for fmu 😊

Haha glad it's not just me to got a poas obsession!

I showed my partner this morning and he was like yes it's a line, there's been a line for 4/5 days now... If that's his face after a few days can you imagine his face in 32 sticks time 🤣

Welcome newbies!

Loladoodle · 17/03/2021 11:48

@selina37 cd23 here! I’ve been crampy on and off all week. I have even exercising quite a lot and have found the cramps ease off after exercise. Unfortunately b6 doesn’t help cramps- first two days of af I have to take very strong painkillers as my cramps would be pretty horrendous along with very very heavy period for first two days. It’s grim but at least only two days then eases off to light flow and no cramps for another 3-5 days.

My mood is good at the minute so close to af being due but again that will be down to b6 and the fact I’ve upped my exercise regime- always gives me energy and makes me feel in a great mindset.

selina37 · 17/03/2021 11:40

Hi ladies! Welcome newbies! Congrats @KG1145 on that lovely line!

Sorry I can't keep up as I'm at work 😂

Just to say though @Loladoodle the spotting has stayed away!! CD24 now too! Starting to get cramps though... 😒 did you find B6 helped cramps, or not? How are you doing? 🤔 Xx

Loladoodle · 17/03/2021 11:26

@selina37 how you feeling? Hope the spotting is still keeping away!!!! 🙏

Lalala1985 · 17/03/2021 11:21

Hi new to this thread. I'm 35 and TTC #1 only on second cycle so it's still early days!
I have a prolactinoma (being treated) and apparently an 11 day LP which is worrying me slightly now but fingers crossed!
Nice to meet you all!

KG1145 · 17/03/2021 11:15

@Pamparam

Hugest congrats *@KG1145*! Happy for you to stick (no pee pun intended) around!
Haha 😂

Thanks everyone. I'm going to continue to pee on sticks for a while longer. If I have them it would just be rude not too 😂

KG1145 · 17/03/2021 11:13

@sickofthisyear

Ah *@KG1145* that's fantastic news!! Post a pic! 😁 I don't blame you re: tests. Last time I tested daily up to 22 DPO 🙈 when I finally got a dye stealer on IC and 3+ weeks on CB digi. How exciting! I don't mind you staying at all- there was a grads thread last year though if you'd also find that useful- I don't know if still going. Ladies that started it would be due around now. Something like 'old ovaries, new lines'
Aww thanks. I sent a pic but never know if it works. It's a bit hit and miss.

Thanks for the info. I'll look them up too 😊

SunAndSea37 · 17/03/2021 11:04

Hi everyone! First time poster here. TTC no1, age 36. Came off Cerelle three weeks ago and awaiting AF....so weird as I'm sure last time I came off it I just got AF straight away but genuinely no sign of it.

My mum is not well and I'm worried the pressure/stress of wanting to have a DGD ASAP so she can meet them is going to have entirely the opposite effect. Was hoping by some total miracle I might have fallen straight away but two cheapy strip tests say BFN and my DH thinks I've lost it!

Thanks for making this thread x

Pamparam · 17/03/2021 11:02

Hugest congrats @KG1145! Happy for you to stick (no pee pun intended) around!

Katiekattty · 17/03/2021 10:58

@KG1145 congrats so pleased for you

@Ailie12 the numbers are going up but still low but app says to start testing twice a day. Although the evening numbers are really now.

02Carol · 17/03/2021 10:27

@KG1145
Congratulations!! 🥳 Fantastic update.

thislittlebird · 17/03/2021 10:26

Screen shot missing. £30 for 20 plus 4 useless sticks Hmm

TTC 35+ Thread 7
thislittlebird · 17/03/2021 10:21

Speaking of the price of these sticks I'm going to have a moan. I need to buy another box which will cover two and a bit cycles (nearly have enough for this month. But look at the price of them on Amazon now, I'm sure they were £5 cheaper last time I got them?

Ebay doesn't seem much better, I'll have a general google.

What annoys me the most is in a pack 4 out of the 24 are pregnancy tests. As a non-tester struggling to ttc I'm just going to end up with dozens of useless pregnancy tests for this device, it's so wasteful and annoying.

Cool that we have an NZ ttcer in the thread @Farfaraway1! I'm probably too reliant on amazon when I'm impatient nowadays, maybe it's a good thing not to have them sometimes.

Marvellouslymadmum · 17/03/2021 10:15

@Farfaraway1 yes good luck!

@KG1145 I'm so so pleased for you!! Congratulations 🥳 please do keep us updated!
@sickofthisyear I pee into a pot
Lol- I did think it would be tricky without a pot! I've almost had some disasters with FMU, pot gets quite full and manoeuvring it is a challenge when you're sleepy! 🙈
