@Katiekattty @thislittlebird totally understandable about CBT. I think it could also be the therapist perhaps? With interventions and therapies as such it’s a very personalized and individually tailored experience. I was fortunate CBT helped with managing my anxiety and also lucky with other traditional types of therapy - although at some point with the traditional psychotherapy type I had to change therapists twice until I found a good one.

@Lexber sorry about the sudden loss of your dad. CBT helped me also sail through some difficult times. And I find it interesting how so many women here have also had good experience with it. Like I said, I went in very skeptical but I was pleasantly persuaded. @Marvellouslymadmum I think a GP referral is all he needs. If my memory hasn’t failed me...

@climbershell if you suspect Ov on 14/15, I would dtd 12/14/15. I’m also having some trouble this month. So my past 2 cycles I’ve had the smiley face on CB on CD10 which meant I ovulated day 11/12, but today CD10 and no smiley (I wasted 4 sticks and held my pee for hours each time 🤦🏻‍♀️). So dtd 2 days in a row cause just in case this CB box is faulty or something. Will probably dtd tomorrow and day after. I’m a bit deflated cause was planning on every other day not daily for semen count and quality. Oh well 😅 this Monday my consultant and I saw a dominant follicle 17 mm on CD8 so either it’s anovulatory or I’m ovulating late this cycle. Hoping for a smiley tomorrow 🤞🏻

@thislittlebird oh well that's rubbish! Good that she has some on sale but annoying, you'd think they would make them multi use, it would be cheaper for them!

I just heard back from an eBay seller @Marvellouslymadmum and she said they do not fit. She has a letter from CB confirming what they do fit (must have a shop). Ah well, back to the even more expensive ones. Fortunately she has some on sale I might buy without the pregnancy tests.

@Katiekattty haha yep, I thought the same today when I peed into the cap from my contact lens case because it was the only thing to hand 😂 i was getting really low readings on premom and thought I had been cocking up by drinking too much but it's suddenly shot up to 0.87 this evening on CD19! So actually it was just that I hadn't reached peak yet. @climbershell I usually have a 28 day cycle but it looks like I'm on for very late ovulation- maybe you will be the same? I'd be inclined to stick to the every other day and then go hell for leather when things start to pick up on the opks?

I'm expecting peak tomorrow and we've shagged tonight, I guess we should probably do it again fir the next few nights? I feel way to old to be having sex on consecutive nights 😂

@Marvellouslymadmum Thank you for the offer, that’s so kind! It’s fine though because they’re pretty cheap for 3 or whatever, and might not be that far off the cost of postage. You might end up with some sent to you if they don’t fit though lmao

I did not have a great time with it either tbh @Katiekattty. I’m not sure why it worked for me less than others really. I finished the 12 sessions but I didn’t feel like I had the experience others have described so I wonder if the person doing it makes a difference too? Not sure how much that changes the experience. But it was ok in some ways, it taught me a few handy things, it just wasn’t what I expected I guess.

I think I’m going to start my citalopram in the coming week and try to restart exercise too, exercise very much helps me but part of the struggle is forcing myself to get into it again when I’ve stopped.

Oh wow just catching up on everything. I did CBT when my mum died and hated it. I stopped going after a few sessions. I have been citalopram and that’s really helped me along with exercise.I came off it a few months before Covid, probably couldn’t have picked a worse time.

My Premom app is still giving me lows but with higher numbers. Then yesterday evening and all today very low numbers but I’m not sure if it’s me drinking a lot more water today. I have the usually EWCM and all my apps say I should ovulate around the same time give or take a day.
On another note I spend way too much time playing with me pee these days.

Got a feeling they might have changed the plastic case shape a bit so you can’t put them in the monitor hmmmm but maybe I’ll buy a few loose cheap ones on eBay (3 or 5) to try and if they don’t work then I know either way and haven’t bought a whole box, just spent a few pounds at most.

I want to do SMEP when we start again, but I started the wrong day last time and then suddenly was ovulating. We tried doing it for 9 days in a row across the fertile window in January and it was ok, just full on. Every other day all of the month is hard to muster the energy for so far.

Reading about all this clear blue stuff made me wonder if I was ovulating lately when I was getting all those extra High readings, no idea. I hope my cycles stay normal from now on, that would be handy.

Yeah but I don't think you need to worry if you're doing it that much anyway, fertility doc said not to worry about it too much as long as it's every other day and that is the standard advice tmk. Otherwise you can do SMEP but that might be a bit late now.

Last cycle did 8, 11-14 (couldn't 9 or 10 coz of SA & tried 15 but I'd run him dry), thought ovulated cd14

Maybe if no ewcm tomorrow and also no proper line on opk will skip then and do 14-16

As long as you're dtd every other day it should be fine @climbershell. Just do evens maybe?

Argh, I really don't know when best dtd. My opk showing basically nothing is making me doubt think our dtd days!

6,8,10,12 so far, but was planning 13-14 as well, try 15 and see if he can.. But now thinking maybe need to do 16 too... In which case do we skip 13... Tho ov probably is 14 or 15, in which case 12-14 is better than 12,14-16! 🙄

@thislittlebird they could well be, they certainly look the same! In boots they're very expensive as they come with the reader too but on eBay if you get some with just a couple of months left n the date all still sealed they're cheaper. I can take a pic of mine if it helps?

Yeah I can just put it back in and tell it to stfu @Marvellouslymadmum. But you know some people will believe it and put a new one in . I am just googling and I think (but not sure) that your CB sticks might be the same as the ones I use. I’m trying to double check becase that would be really handy if they were the same sticks.

@thislittlebird that's really annoying! Did you get it to accept it? I don't know if the app does that haven't had any issues so far though!

@Lexber sorry to hear about your dad, I really think my oh should try cbt and he's willing to give it a go I just don't know where to start looking for someone. I know the waiting sucks especially when it stops the dtd! Hopefully it'll get sorted soon

Sorry about the AF ladies that sucks!
I tried CBT years ago as was referred after losing my dad - long story but he was abroad and died suddenly aged 59 and after a month of stress getting him home and then losing his belongings etc I kind of bypassed the grieving for a few months and then crashed. CBT helped me so much I didn't need anything else and it's a life skill, I've used it through other difficult times and been grateful for it. Def try it!

I'm so fed up, after a post coil bleed and then spotting I started to bleed much heavier and have had a couple of heavy days. I'm non the wiser to if it is withdrawal or AF early but I feel shit tired and fed up (which makes me think AF) I feel like a broken record at the minute questioning if it's AF, the not knowing is driving me mad. Plus I just want it to stop so I can start tracking my cycle and figure out what's happening.
Let me ovulate god damn it! 🤣

I just want to get started TTC 🤦🏽‍♀️ I'm so impatient and have a usually high sex drive so 8 days spotting/bleeding has been a nightmare!

On the plus side I had my first Covid vaccine today 🎉
