Why is ovulation late?

Hi all.

Is there a reason ovulation would be late??

I'm a typical 28day cycle with ovulation on day 13 or 14. Today is day 16 and no ovulation flagged on clear blue yet.is there a reason for this? Should we continue to DTD?

I'm thinking 12/13th Nov!
My birthday in Oct, baby hopefully Nov and then Xmas I don't think my boyfriend has worked that out yet 😳💰.

I know, I'll be asking for gin for Christmas 100%!

When your ready there's a thread on the pregnancy board 'November 2021', there's a link on there to a (private) FB group... it's quiet at the moment but I imagine it'll become very busy in weeks to come! Nice to have some girls to chat too at the same early stage.

Yes it must be area based then. I'm Bedfordshire.

Hahaha a whole year with no alcohol. We will need it when they are toddlers 😂

So exciting. Think we will go for an early scan too probably around 8/9weeks.

Have you worked out roughly when you will be due? I'm over excited and think I'll be 16th November

It just says to email your details once you get a positive test... could maybe depend on area? (Im Cumbria) however maybe I shouldn't worry about not having a reply for another week or so if that's the case!

I only really have a coffee in the morning when I drive to work but I really really struggled without it last week! Also, I did dry Jan and Feb then got positive test on 1st Mar so I could be doing a dry year 🤦🏼‍♀️😂.

I stopped my pill start of December so 3, I was fully expecting it to take a while too after being on the pill for so long. No-one knows yet, depending on the early scan if a few weeks we may tell parents then if everything looks ok.

When does your midwife accept referrals, ours isn't until 6 weeks from last period.

The only thing I'm sad about is no caffeine I do love a diet coke and a tea ha! I still have zero symptoms, its really odd! Not even an AF one.

The pain in your pelvis could have been baby getting good and comfy in a spot ha!

He will be! He had been telling himself it would take a year. We started in November so this is our 4th cycle. How about you?

I have a few cheap tests still in the drawer! I'm just anxious now as it's another 3 weeks till the early scan I booked privately... I referred myself to the midwives online on Thurs and haven't a response yet I might phone tomorrow.

My sore boobs haven't gone away, more sore now but not horrendous. I was getting a dull ache on the right side of my pelvic area but that's settled now in the last couple days. No nausea yet, definitely more tired but that could be a lack of coffee, decaf in the morning just doesn't hit 🤦🏼‍♀️.

Haha do you think he'll be shocked? How long have you been trying if you don't mind me asking? Sorry you might have already said below.

Haha indeed! Apparently late ovulation & excessive ovulation testing was going to be a winner ha!

Yes you def do not need to test anymore 😂

I'm going to try not to test again till tuesday (it's a lie I'm testing tomorrow morning haha)

Hubby doesn't know yet. Will wait till its stronger

How are you feeling? Any pregnancy symptoms?

@glow92 I wasn't going to test until Tuesday but I had a weird dream where I found out I was pregnant so had a huge urge to just do it.. I'm in shock!

@LunaL0veg00d fingers crossed that it's a BFP when it gets to a week like last time. There is still hope!

9dpo for me today, not a single symptom. I can usually spot symptoms from ovulation haha but not a sore boob, queezy moment or anything yet 🤦‍♀️this is not good!

@Fireplacedreamer still no AF. 15dpo now and did a FRER but negative, not even a faint line so feeling like it's not my month, but now worrying why AF hasn't come!!

He's very happy but a little rabbit-in-the-headlights! We both have a lot to learn! We knew it could happen at any point but after being on the pill for so many years I don't think he saw it coming after a few months.

I couldn't wait any longer and told him when I got home from work and showed him the tests so far... he was nervous but so happy 🥰. Just want to get these next few weeks out the way then hopefully relax a bit, will still test everyday to hopefully see lines get darker.

That sounds challenging, must be rewarding though. I just work with a load of grumpy men 😂.

Sounds difficult. Try not to let the stress get to you though and hopefully it will only be until November 😊
I work in a school with children with severe behavioural needs.

@glow92 are doing so well to keep it to yourself! I wouldn't be able to contain myself 😂😂

I'm going to test on dpo12 which is Sunday as AF is due on Tuesday and take it from there 😊

I'm a surveyor (glorified admin/accountant) for a small civils contractor but things have changed a lot in the last year and I'm just not confident in what I'm doing anymore and I'm always on my own which is rubbish when my best friend used to work in the same room. But hopefully things can only get better now HOPEFULLY could be off come November 😂

I think I'm gonna tell him tomorrow... after another test to try and get a darker line, so excited but so anxious for the next few weeks!

FRER this morn 💜.... think it's going to take a few days to hopefully get some decent line progression, 10 or 11dpo today.
I feel kind of bad though I've not told my partner yet, he's so reserved and chilled out I don't think he'd believe anything other than a bold line! At work 8-5 today so at least I can take my mind away for a while, even though I hate my job right now!
