I promised myself I wouldn't! But I woke up this morning feel awful, so off I went and POAS and at 9dpo it was a BFN. AF is due in 7 days.
Why do I do this to myself!!
I'm annoyed now and just really disappointed. But the last few days I have felt so tired, off food and sick so I sort of had convinced myself I was. I've set myself up for a bad day. Sorry for the rant!

@treesall you're not out either till AF.
Sometimes we really just can't help ourselves. TTC really is a stressful impatient waiting game and turns us all crazy!

You are still in with a chance @tulips87, especially if AF isn't due until Wednesday.

I've lost the plot. I've tested a million times day. Basically every time I've gone to the toilet. I know it's pointless but I can't help myself.

missrose0110 · 19/02/2021 11:37

@treesall and @tulips87 you're not out until AF comes along. Things could still change for us all 🤞 xx

tulips87 · 19/02/2021 10:56

@treesall I know how you feel, it's when we put a lot of effort in that you feel it's sort of wasted? I know it shouldn't feel like that but all of the OPK'ing, the conceive plus, the BD'ing on the days you're supposed to and even more. Like what more can we do???
I know a lot of people will say take the relaxed approach but I don't want to feel like I've wasted a month on 'relaxing' if that makes sense.
I'm so sorry yours was a BFN but there's still time for you!! 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Sorry you got a BFN @tulips87. I too POAS this morning and even though my cheapie was so clearly negative, I wasted my last frer in desperation and still of course BFN. 9dpo today. I wanted soooo much for it to happen this month and we dtd so blooming much! Sigh.

tulips87 · 19/02/2021 10:01

So.....guess who POAS this morning! 🙋🏻‍♀️
Had the heaviest achy boobs last night, so of course it means I'm pregnant right??? Hahaha nope! A BFN!
AF needs to hurry along now, not due till Wednesday though 😩😩😩
That was my last test too and I now promise myself not to buy any more.

OP posts:
tulips87 · 18/02/2021 15:55

@treesall if there's a stick, of course you have to POAS!! It tortures us from the cupboard every month! I shouldn't buy any really.
I'm sorry for your losses. A chemical is a mc too so don't brush that off. It's not easy and I admire you for continuing.
I was put off by my 3rd MMC and it's taken me 2 years to snap out of the worry and want to try again now because I couldn't face the thought of getting to 10 weeks and finding no heartbeat again.
But here I am, so so impatient to get pregnant!!!! Wishing you a speedy 48hours with no POAS! xx

@HenB everyone is different it depends when implantation happens and how accurately you've dated ovulation as hcg double every 2-3 days it's not impossible to have a positive at 7dpo but negative doesn't mean you're out

heybabes · 18/02/2021 15:08

@HenB definitely too early! Even the earliest positives don't usually come until 8DPO.

I didn't test today but getting cramps so I keep thinking "hmm is that a sign?" It's also a sign of PMS so you know...

HenB · 18/02/2021 14:38

I am in the first month TTC day 27 of cycle and 7dpo. I have tested yesterday and today and bfn. Is it just too early to test it should I be seeing at least faint positives by now?

missrose0110 · 18/02/2021 14:02

@tulips87 no I tested again this morning hahaha. Can't resist! Of course it was negative, I'm going to wait a few more days (for real this time) then test again xx

firsttimemummy321 · 18/02/2021 13:18

@tulips87 you're not alone in that I've done that many times 🙈
You're not out yet though!

@treesall a chemical does count as a pregnancy (that was told to me by my dr) :)

treesall · 18/02/2021 11:31

Jumping onboard as I am in the same boat. BFN at 8dpo. I shouldn't have tested, and wasn't planning to test but then suddenly there I was POAS. I have had 4 pregnancies so far, first succesful, then a mmc, then a chemical (ok so doesn't really count as a pregnancy but for a week I thought I was pregnant and went through the testing rollercoaster!) and then another early loss under 6weeks last month. I know if it doesn't show by 10dpo I will be out for this month so just trying to get through the next 48 hours without POAS every single time I pee!

DoodleLovin · 18/02/2021 11:21

Aw I feel you OP! I’m in the 2 week wait and I gave in yesterday and tested- obviously BFN as I’d just ovulated but I hate waiting 😬

heybabes · 18/02/2021 11:00

@tulips87 ah that's good, I'm glad! I've convinced myself I'm out too now, so just going to wait.

It was kind of a mid-line on the OPK, not a positive though which apparently can show up if you're pregnant so.... ha. It was a smaller let down though.

I don't know if it was the soy or not. It can delay things but my cycles are really sensitive to stress and I was stressing with OPKs this month. As soon as I gave them up and thought I was having an anovulatory cycle, I then ovulated... so could have been soy or stress!

Long cycles are a nightmare though, I'm only on cycle 2 whereas if I had a normal cycle I could have had another 2 goes in that time :(

tulips87 · 18/02/2021 10:36

@heybabes I'm feeling okay today how are you?ive not thought about testing again which is good for my mental health!
I'm glad it helped, I'm guessing there was no line on the OPK?
Has the soy made your cycle long? I'd be going crazy is my cycle was more than 30 days, how are you coping??
I used conceive plus this cycle, obviously didn't help! But I will continue to use it. I'm rubbish with the EWCM and trying to figure out what type it is, I wish I knew how though!

tulips87 · 18/02/2021 10:32

@missrose0110 have you resisted this morning? I've convinced myself I'm out so just waiting for AF to arrive next week. I haven't thought about it again after testing yesterday, and funnily my off feeling has disappeared 🤣
I'm so sure now that it was just all in my head!

OP posts:
heybabes · 18/02/2021 09:16

@tulips87 Exactly, so frustrating!

How you holding up today - 10 DPO! I resisted the urge to test this morning. Decided just to do it on an OPK for some weird reason - it helped. I'm going to try and wait as long as I can this time and like you trying to plan what I'm going to do next time!

I took Soy Isoflavones this month but at the latest you possibly can which can delay ovulation (I'm already on CD42 now...) so I'm going to take them again but earlier. I'm also going to try Pre-seed or Conceive Plus as I don't notice any EWCM so hopefully that might help!

missrose0110 · 17/02/2021 18:53

@tulips87 @tulips87 you're so right! I've got the poas urge out of my system now. I literally thought to myself as I was doing it "there's no way this will be positive" but I was hoping all the same. Yes, I'm going to wait a few more days and test, thinking maybe Saturday morning.

That's a good plan, waiting until AF is late, but I'm far too impatient for that haha xx

tulips87 · 17/02/2021 17:41

@missrose0110 sometimes you just have to get the POAS out of your system, which I guess is what we have all done here! We expect it to be a BFP every time.
Seriously though please don't feel disheartened, it's still very early to test and it was probably a very diluted sample too. Maybe wait a couple of days?
I don't think I will test again till after Wednesday if AF is late. I'm now planning my SMEP plan for next month because I've convinced myself I'm out this month.

OP posts:
tulips87 · 17/02/2021 17:37

@heybabes yes you do want to know everything, you go crazy googling and the answer you always get is "this is very common and most of the time there is no reason or nothing you can do about it", which really doesn't help and is annoying!
AF is due Wednesday for me, and you're right, I also see everyone posting BFP's on 8/9dpo and I'm like...how?!? Why can't that be us!!?

OP posts:
missrose0110 · 17/02/2021 16:35

@tulips87 I've just wasted a FRER too 😭

They just got delivered and I couldn't resist the urge to test. I'm 10dpo, it's the afternoon and I went to the toilet an hour ago. I don't know what I was expecting.

Even if I am, it probably wouldn't come up right? Now I'm feeling disheartened, I don't know why I did it! When are you retesting? Xx

heybabes · 17/02/2021 16:10

@tulips87 that sounds so awful! I would want to know everything. But like you said, after reading through a lot of TTC forums, it is pretty common. Still absolutely sucks though.

Also, 34 is still pretty young!

My AF is due on Tuesday (23rd) so still have a while, I just think when I see all these people posting BFPs at 8/9DPO then it must mean I'm out. I'm going to try and wait until at least the weekend now though, so I will be 12 DPO and then I know it will be pretty definitive then.

What about you?

tulips87 · 17/02/2021 11:47

@heybabes thank you. Yes it wasn't easy at all, the hospitals just want to get you out and don't give you much information, they just say it happens to a lot of women and expect you to accept it. It can make you feel like you're all alone though.
But since TTC this time and being on this forum, you see that it really does happen to a lot of women so it helps personally.
It wasn't investigated as they weren't consecutive.
Now I'm nearly 34 so age isn't exactly on my side like it was before!

At least you know you can get pregnant and that's a really good sign! 🤞🏼🤞🏼
When is AF due for you?
