@timeisnotaline

I think the only reason it gets to me more is because it's a mental health issue rather than physical and sometimes because people cannot physically see what's wrong I feel that I'm not believed.. I went through a lot of bullying at school due to it but it's made me better in the long run.

I'm so sorry to hear about your sister but glad she's doing much better now! It's amazing that there are drugs out there to help us manage.

I don't feel shame on being on them, I guess I personally just resent the fact that I'm not strong enough mentally to cope by myself and this is the longest I've not been on them!

Thank you for your reply xx

ShonC · 16/03/2021 12:23

@1997Babyx thank you so much for your reply. How are you feeling at the moment?❤️

I really do love this forum. I've found some lovely people on here since joining not so long ago. It's such a good support network!

I do try to remind myself that there are lots of women in my position and we are all going through the journey of TTC.

I really like the notebook idea and will give that a go. Crying definitely helps but feel like I've done so much of it recently!

Do you speak to your partner about how you're feeling much? Xx

1997Babyx · 16/03/2021 12:16

Hey @ShonC

So sorry to hear you are feeling this way

Sounds like you have a lot going on and adding TTC into the mix you've got a lot to deal with

Just know that you are not alone. TTC itself is truly just awful when it doesn't go your way.

Just put yourself and your own mental health first, always

One thing I have found that helps is to keep a little notebook where I write down any negative (or positive) thoughts I have about the journey, but it could be expanded to just life itself

I find it hard to speak to people too - but I find writing it down, allowing myself a really good cry as I'm getting it down onto the page, then closing the notebook and shoving it into a cupboard really helps me. It's like the negative thoughts and worry are transferred from my brain to the notebook and I find the thoughts a little less consuming

Hope you're ok xx

shon it sounds bad timing with the leave but don’t stress like that about medication. You’d be surprised how many people around you live their entire life on medication. One of the challenges of being pregnant is not being able to take even most of the minor drugs, I always wonder if people used to just live their entire lives a bit miserable! But my sister had a heart attack last year very young, and she’s good now but takes medication daily for the rest of her life. A young family member is type 1 diabetes and his pump doses him with insulin regularly 24h a day. All credit to you for trying without the drugs but there’s no shame in needing them, it’s the wonders of modern medicine that we have them available.

Ladies, I'm feeling very low today. I was crying on and off yesterday 4/5 times. Basically I've had 9 days off as I had to take annual leave otherwise I would lose it and they won't buy holiday back. It's not been good for my mental health not being able to do anything and constantly thinking about TTC though I'm only on my 2nd cycle.

For a bit of background, when I was 11 I was diagnosed with severe OCD and my parents never thought I'd live a normal life let alone have my own home with my partner and hold down a full time job. I came off my anti depressants in October 2020 after a gradual reduction after 15 years of being on them and in December 2020 my birth control pill. I've realised I'm just unhappy or miserable most of the time. I've had to come off of social media, Facebook first and Sunday Instagram. I feel like I have nothing to look forward to at the moment and bored of the same routine. I don't want to go back to work tomorrow and am waiting to hear back about an application for a higher paid job in the police but I'm not holding my breath. I work as an investigator with the police but it's so thankless at times though I love it as I want to help people but at the same time it's been tough as I started it in April and haven't met any of my team face to face as we've not been in the office.

I don't want to go back on antidepressants but I'm worried I'm going to have to and rely on them for all of my life.

I'm fed up of lockdown now like many others.

I'm sorry to vent, but I don't want to tell my friends as they never seem to understand x

@cf8899 Oh no, I was so hopeful for you. Not out until AF shows though!! Xx

cf8899 · 16/03/2021 09:12

Think I'm defo out this month 🙄 bfn frer and can feel AF cramps, hopefully next month will be better 🤞🏻

ShonC · 16/03/2021 07:58

@LKB89 my last cycle when I first came off the pill was 35 days long but this one seems so much shorter, period included! I will DTD later and tomorrow 🤞🏼xx

Confused678866 · 16/03/2021 07:54

@LKB89 Definitely, fingers crossed for you xx

1997Babyx · 16/03/2021 07:52

Thanks everyone for your kind messages xx

LKB89 · 16/03/2021 07:51

@Confused678866 you are right, until I see bright red AF I suppose I'm not out, I just feel the same as AF now. We shall see ❤️

@ShonC hey, I don't think that's unusual at all, how long are you cycles? I think you ovulate 12-36 hours after the static smiley so I would say your bang on right in the middle 🤗 get DTD x

Confused678866 · 16/03/2021 07:45

@LKB89 See how it goes today. I appreciate you obviously know your own body better than any of us, it's just that I agree with you with the spotting being bang on implantation time and being unusual for you. If your bleeding doesn't get heavier or stops, definitely test again in a few days. 9/10 DPO is still early, even on a FRER. Good luck! Xx

ShonC · 16/03/2021 07:43

Hey all, I got my static smiley face today at cycle day 12.. got the flashing one yesterday. Is it unusual to ovulate so early on in a cycle?

Feel like I'm arguing more with partner over this now and it's only cycle 2. Feeling a bit deflated x

ShonC · 16/03/2021 07:41

@LKB89 sorry your AF showed🤍xxx

LKB89 · 16/03/2021 07:38

Thank you so much for your experience & advice @Confused678866
I was feeling so optimistic at weekend as it was bang on time for implantation bleeding & it was light pinky/brown which I never usually have before AF, I usually have a couple of days of brown spotting...especially not this early too. No cramps but some noticeable twinges/pulling on Saturday. I really did feel like it was 'different'.
Now I just 100% know it's AF and she'll be here heavier later. Confirmed with the BFN with FRER. X

LKB89 · 16/03/2021 07:35

So sorry @1997Babyx I didn't see your message before my rant.
Sending you lots of love ❤️ x

ShonC · 16/03/2021 07:30

@1997Babyx thinking of you xx

Confused678866 · 16/03/2021 07:09

@1997Babyx So sorry you've having another CP 😞 it must be so hard, hope you're okay xx

Annannanna · 16/03/2021 07:07

@1997Babyx so sorry you are having another CP, it's heartbreaking, hope you are doing ok xx

Confused678866 · 16/03/2021 06:47

@LKB89 Hey, just read your post about your spotting and that's it has changed to darker brown.... I had this with my 2019 baby. I don't obviously want to give you false hope but just wanted to know what your spotting was like the last couple of days??
Basically, when I fell pregnant back in 2018, I didn't know because I assumed I had a 'light period' as it was just after getting off the pill so I though my body was trying to regulate itself. Turns out it must have been implantation bleeding as that's the only logical explanation. I found out I was pregnant at about 6/7 weeks. Told the midwife about the bleeding and she said it would have been implantation as it was a few days before period was due. When I then read about implantation bleeding because I didn't have a clue what it was, I read so many articles saying how it should be only a few drops, maybe for a day etc etc.
Mine went on for about 3 days, it was lighter but I had a mixture of red and brown blood, definitely lots of brown.

Also if it is your period, I know how frustrating it can be to get it so early. Last month, I had so many 'symptoms' so I used a FRER 6 days before period due. Just as I'd used it, I wiped, and there was blood. I can on my period at CD22, 6 days early, straight after doing a test! Have a feeling that's what's happening this month too!

LKB89 · 16/03/2021 06:27

I'm out 🥺

BFN this AM 9/10 DPO

All this spotting I have had the past couple of days is clearly AF rearing her ugly head as this morning it's a darker brown.

I'm on CD23 today, never have i started to come on this early, I'm like text book 27-29 day cycles.
My LP has been so short now 😟

Why would it do this to me when I'm trying?
Feel like giving up 😣

Cakelaur · 16/03/2021 06:07

@timeisnotaline sending all bfp vibes (or af vibes) your way babe

It's crazy what the body does when ttc.

1997Babyx · 16/03/2021 06:00

I'm out - AF arrived in the night

Absolutely gutted. Another CP :(

timeisnotaline · 16/03/2021 02:35

Can you send some of it my way cake?? I could really do with it!

Cakelaur · 15/03/2021 20:54

Fingers crossed for the morning @cf8899 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
