@Kiza omg that sounds horrible!! Glad you're on the mend now. Shit thing to go through but it's so worth it when you have that baby in your arms 😊 love his name x

CB87 · 16/10/2021 11:18

@Lozzlepop I was breifly on the TTC thread with my first baby and remember your name! I only posted a couple of times but checked in occasionally to see how everyone got on. Really pleased for you 🙂 x

Kiza · 16/10/2021 09:40

@Lozzlepop thank you he's called Odin and he's a dream!! I definitely believe the high dose of progesterone is what helped him stick, side effects of such a high dose were a bit rough but I'm sure you'll agree we will take all the symptoms in the world to be able to carry to full term!! I also pushed to keep taking the high dose to 12 weeks as originally they were only going to prescribe till 8 weeks.

@whatsthecraic91 yeah it was rough as I lost all mobility in my legs and had to have an MRI, luckily it came back after a couple of days and accidentally tore my stitches too 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ I was begging for morphine in the hospital and missed the morphine when I got home 😆

whatsthecraic91 · 16/10/2021 09:09

@Kiza congratulations!! Fellow csection mama here too, just keep on top of your pain medication is my top tip!! And keep moving! It's such a shock to the system isn't it 😂 enjoy every second xx

@Lozzlepop eeek look at that!! How many weeks are you then? Will you be due in June? Are you going to book an early scan? x

Lozzlepop · 16/10/2021 07:41

Well it’s deffo there so I am just trying to relax and take things in my stride!

@whatsthecraic91 it’ll be so lovely to have them so similar in age growing up ❤️ Of course I will keep you guys in the loop- you have all been on this rollercoaster with us.

@Kiza thank you so so much and huge congratulations on your little one arriving what lovely news 🥰 what did you decide to call him?

The dr has prescribed me vitamin D and progesterone to take and I’ve upped my dose of thyroid medication and to go for a blood test next week so I’m really hopeful this little one sticks 🤞🏻

@whatsthecraic91 yes our little boy was born on 6th Oct via c section. I had GD and some post c section complications resulting in longer hospital stay but now home and loving it! Learning on the job very quickly! 😳

@whatsthecraic91 thank you so much! In a bit of shock, the line came up straight away. Was annoyed as I had a digital and it didn’t work 🙄 bought another few tests cos you knoe 🤣🤣 how are you getting on?

whatsthecraic91 · 14/10/2021 14:40

@Lozzlepop oh congratulations!! What a great line! How do you feel? Today of all days I pop on 🥳

Lozzlepop · 14/10/2021 08:52

Morning ladies,

How are we all doing?

@MIW01glad to hear that your OH got his varicocele fixed- hopefully he’s in less pain now.

@Annny27 have you got an appointment for your endo surgery yet?

@thislittlebird so frustrating that everything shuts down at Xmas, fingers crossed you get a date soon!

I have been on levothyroxine since June now. Had a chemical pregnancy last month (our 5th loss). Quietly optimistic that this is eventually our rainbow 🌈

Hi @XjustagirlX. So are you looking at mid December now?

I finished one letrozole cycle and obviously the tests were negative 🤪. What else would they be?! I thought we were approaching IVF but I realised my end of month cycles will hit the Christmas cut off and closures. So that’s frustrating. I emailed the clinic and they said they’re working through June patients, I was added 31st August so essentially my funded round is VERY unlikely to be happening until January, probably the end of January. Knocked me for six a bit, I was so excited to have my funded cycle and a “2-3 month wait”. I think we might go ahead with a private ivf cycle next month if the second letrozole cycle I’m doing now is negative again, which it likely will be, if they can fit us in.

I had my second scan today, I have two follicles (1x 20mm and 1x 14.5mm) and I’m going back for another scan on Friday. In the meantime I need to do OPKs and I assume I’ll be triggered on Friday, unless a third follicle has popped up. My lining was only 6.4mm triple layered but it is also only cycle day 8. I think if it’s still too thin on Friday they’ll give me some estrogen maybe, but it’s usually ok so I’m hoping it’ll catch up. It was something like 10.4mm on day 10 last month.

XjustagirlX · 06/10/2021 10:39

I’ve had a bit of a break after ivf so not been active on here. My period finally arrived after ivf and it was a 43 day cycle but I don’t think I ovulated.

I would be due to have ET mid November now however we have decided to wait until the cycle after. It just means I have enough time to get my second vaccine and it will line up with me being off work for Christmas and hopefully relaxed and happy.

@MIW01 glad the varicocele went well.
@thislittlebird did you test? Are you any closer to a date and plan?

For the lining I have been told there is g they can do. But then I have also read that people are given estrogen. For my ET I will be taking estrogen so it must help with the lining a bit. My lining has been 3mm and 5mm and thé for ivf it went to 8mm then reduced down to 6mm.

thislittlebird · 02/10/2021 08:47

I’m on letrozole cycle number 2. My mood is very low so far, my hopes for this one aren’t high and I just want the nhs to tell me when we might start.

thislittlebird · 23/09/2021 08:27

@MIW01 did they give you estrogen for the womb lining? Someone on another thread is on that for her lining I think. How much progesterone were you on FYI? I know mine is low anyway, I’m on 400mg cyclogest until Sunday.

I’m getting more nervous about the test now. I was fine until yesterday and now I feel anxious about it, even though I’ve seen these horrible negatives before, it can’t hurt me.

Great news on his varicocele, must be a relief for him to know it’s sorted.

MIW01 · 23/09/2021 08:14

@thislittlebird I know lots of people who tell me it feels no different to a normal cycle, didn't even know they were etc. I know it's easier said than done to not worry about it though. For me I had very few "normal" PMS symptoms, spotted for 2 days which is unusual for me, then AF arrived bang on time. So straight back to normality. For me I question whether my womb lining is thick enough to support implantation and apparently there's nothing they can do about that!

Fiancée had varicocele repair yesterday. Apparently it was a bit more serious than it appeared and he had to have mesh put in to support 5 vessels including some associated with his kidneys! Which may explain why he was feeling so much pain! So very good job he had it done irrespective of the fertility stuff. We are keeping everything crossed that this helps.

thislittlebird · 22/09/2021 15:23

@MIW01 yeah the quality is my worry. I don’t need 25 immature eggs being taken out.

I have to test on Friday which I hate but I’m not really very bothered, I feel like I know it hasn’t worked. My body doesn’t even seem to notice I’m on daily progesterone suppositories.

MIW01 · 21/09/2021 10:30

@thislittlebird @XjustagirlX the mantra 'quality' not 'quantity' rings true here. Obviously I'm biased with how low my numbers are but have heard several stories of people with lots of eggs but no successful IVF rounds and on the other end of the spectrum someone who only had 1 egg retrieved and is now in 3rd trimester of pregnancy!

@Annny27 wishing you lots of luck and hope they get a move on with the Lap!

Annny27 · 20/09/2021 09:24

Just placemarking so I can keep up with you all :) nothing much going on here - just ovulated, in tww

Overall waiting for endo surgery :)

@XjustagirlX I do wonder if some of my follicles are empty (particularly this month since I had more than normal, previously had 23 and 28) but who knows I suppose, and the age vs afc thing worries me, my quality could be terrible. Ugh. That’s why I’m conscious of making sure they adjust it in time.

Ok to stop you ovulating makes sense. She said I would need to do two injections per day when we were in the appointment, which was very confusing, but that was before I protested the max dose so I’m not sure what that was for.

XjustagirlX · 18/09/2021 22:54

@thislittlebird I’m quite similar to you with follicles of 34+ and Amh was 45. But amh is less important than actual follicle count. I had 150 (the lowest dose) of ovaleap.

The centritide is a fixed amount of 250 so it doesn’t vary. It’s not the trigger. I took centritide from day 5 to day 10. I think it is to stop you ovulating naturally.

I think you will respond fine but they should up the drugs if you don’t.

thislittlebird · 18/09/2021 12:02

I got my nhs letter with my protocol yesterday. 150 of gonal f. I have mixed feelings. She went from wanting to put me on max doses to the lowest and I was hoping for something a tad higher or a varying dose but this is better than 300 doses. My fear is I won’t respond with something like a 38 afc and 31 AMH. AMH was 36 back in Feb. Do you think they’ll adjust my meds if I’m not responding a few days in?

What was your centrotide 250 for @XjustagirlX? Was that a trigger?
