Impatient TTC - Thread 3..or 4?

@Aurora1304 I had cramps at 6 DPO and then got my BFP at 9 DPO which was super early but I guess sometimes these babies can’t wait to burrow in! Fingers crossed for you lovely xx

I had this a few days before I was due on (i think Day 10 DPO?) and turned out it was implantation bleeding! Worth doing a test for sure. X

Hi everyone - I've just spent a while reading through this thread. It's so nice to see the success of you guys and the support you give each other ❤️ I suffered a miscarriage at Christmas and have been TTC since February. Every month is disappointing despite trying to relax but I'm sure you guys know it's impossible to relax sometimes!
I wanted to ask about implementation bleeding. AF was due on the weekend (Saturday or Sunday depending on which app I check) and last night I started to have very light cramps - more like twinges. They've continued a bit today and I've had very very light bleeding which has been pinky mainly, or brown discharge. I've had the brown discharge before but it's quickly turned into full AF and cramps are usually much worse... So I after googling it's making me wonder (and hope) that it's implementation bleeding.
When would it be a good idea to do a pregnancy test do you think?

I've made it to 32 wks today... full on gestational diabetes - pills and insulin pens - meaning likelihood of induction at 38 wks 😭

The nursery just needs the dresser/changing table being assembled then to sort out all the boxes of bits and bobs ready for him 👶💙

He's had me awake early hrs of the morning just having a disco / stretch / punching bag "in ma belly"
But all is good...

@sunflowersaremyfav93 thank you 😊 His name is Hugh (nickname Hughie), and it’s amazing but intense! It’s true what they say, that nothing can prepare you for becoming a mum for the first time. I never quite realised just how little sleep I would get in these first few few weeks, stock up on sleep as much as possible before they arrive is my advice! I’ve been up with him since 2am 😴 It is the best thing when you meet your baby for the first time, I’m kind of jealous of anyone who’s still got that to come! Congrats on your baby, house and engagement! What an amazing year you’re having!

@Curiosity101 sorry didn’t reply to previous message- haven’t had notifications. The 20 week scan was brilliant. I’m now 27 + 2 and growing all the time and feeling lovely kicks. We are trying to finish renovating at least our bedroom before baby arrives- nursery won’t be ready but never mind. Wow not long for you now- how exciting!

I'm due 11th September. I'll be 35 weeks tomorrow. Had my first little boy at 33+2 so this is a weird and wonderful time being so much further on! ☺️

I tried to keep up with the threads while I was pregnant but it was a bit much while working full time, sorting baby stuff and being on a very active summer babies Facebook group! I thought of you ladies often though, and I did occasionally read the posts just never got round to replying or sending congrats! Who is pregnant now that I would remember? Congrats to you! When are you due?

Just scrolled up and seen @CookieMonster3001 is expecting, congrats lovely! I know you’d had a few disappointments when you first started TTC, I’m so happy for you!

How are you all doing?

Hi everyone, I was on the original couple of threads (when it was called pre-conception planning) - I joined last summer in the early days before conceiving our son in October. I think there have been lots more BFPs since I last came on here, congrats!! We had our baby boy 3 weeks ago on 1st July and although it’s been a whirlwind we are so in love. Sending baby dust to those still trying! Xxx

@Kayeyeem You look great but I can sympathise with feeling huge, especially in this weather! Fortunately it's cooled down now here and hopefully we'll get a few more days to chill.

Your feelings are very normal by the way. I still have feelings like that and this is baby #2.

I'm 27+6 today - 3rd trimester as of tomorrow 🙀 how did that happen? I also just got a promotion at work so I'll be coming back to me 'ideal' role at the end of my maternity leave. It all feels like such a dream at the moment 🙈😄

I'm now 23 weeks +3 days
Just had my covid Pfizer 1st dose yesterday... very mixed emotions about it... but I have to consider myself to protect me in order to protect my bubs as I've got "high bmi" and they already think I'm at risk for pre eclampsia
Had a scan last week for uterine artery blood flow - they're happy that I'm getting good blood supply to bubs so the aspirin is doing its job 👍

I go back at 29 wks for the glucose tolerance test
Then at 32 weeks for a bubs growth scan, otherwise he's happily kicking/punching/elbowing his way in there 😁😁😁

We're not starting the nursery until we both finish our jobs end of July so we can concentrate changing the rooms, clearing out the top floor to make space for the DH's gaming den, organising all the clothes that are too small for both of us right now... 🤣
We did order the travel system and nursery furniture from M&P's last weekend which is due end of august

I still can't quite believe I'm having a baby 🤯
Especially when I have quiet moments of thinking "shit, am I going to be a good mum? This little bubs trying on me? Engaging enough for him when he grows to toddler/child stages?"

@Curiosity101 actual baby brain- scrolled back and remembered of course i’ve seen your beautiful nursery! I even commented on it 🙈

Update from me:

20 weeks today (hooray!). My scan is at 20 +6 so quite late. Looking forward to that and hoping everything all ok.
Have started to feel baby move last few days which has been lovely. Getting quite the bump which I’m paranoid is huge but looking at others online i think it’s just a big range of how you can be. I thought i’d be one to gain weight everywhere but so far just a big bump.
I’m struggling with hayfever badly. Usually i take the nose spray and eye drops but not allowed. Anyone else find anything safe that works? Doc prescribed me terrible nose drops which are those snuffle saline drops for babies- just goes down your throat and doesn’t help. They also prescribed me some kind if piritpn but when i googled it, there is not anything to say it is safe or not so i’ve got rid!
can’t complain in general though as all ok otherwise and English weather is bound to be back to rain soon!

Wow so lovely to hear from you guys! Life has just got in the way recently so I havnt been on here in a while to see how you are all doing!

I have my 20 week scan tomorrow (will be 21 weeks on Friday) which I am excited and nervous about. Baby doesnt stop wriggling around these days and is constantly doing summersaults or jabbing me! Defo a strong one I hope. Still undecided as to whether we will find out tomorrow or not. The entire pregnancy me and OH have been refering to it as a 'he' so will be interesting to see if we are right!
Im feeling great at the moment, but struggling with bad leg cramps at night so my sleep is suffering too (maybe its preparing me!)

@Curiosity101 the nursery is gorgeous! We are gonna start ours in a few weeks and I really want a safari themed room! I had my covid jab 2 weeks ago too, got my 2nd one in August!

@Hope91 I am so sorry to hear the struggle you are facing but also glad that its getting somewhere and closer to getting pregnant. I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you!

How is everyone doing in general?

Well I had my 20 week scan yesterday (I'm 20+4 today) and all is well thankfully 😅 baby was wriggling around and putting it's hands above it's head and kicking it's long legs 😍 the images aren't very clear though thanks to my high BMI 🙄 we didn't find out what we're having as we like a surprise. I did have a good look though but wasn't sure what I was looking at so who knows 🤣
As for me, I'm exhausted 😩 I hate the heat and I'm in agony with issues with my feet, legs and hips but at least I don't feel nauseous anymore! Both my boys are so excited about the baby and keep hugging and kissing my bump, it's so cute 🥰
But as you can see from the picture (taken at 19 weeks) I'm huge already lol.
I'll be having a planned section due to previous pre-eclampsia and 2 emergency sections and will need extra growth scans towards the end due to my high BMI so lots to look forward too!

Hope everyone is ok and that those that are still waiting for that positive get it very soon! Wishing you lots of luck 🍀

@Curiosity101 yes that’s exactly it I was crushed initially and then I thought right come on rationalise atleast on the 23rd I will know what I need to do to give myself the best possible chance.

Oo I also had my first Covid jab 2 1/2 weeks ago 💪☺️. Was really happy to have that out of the way! Definitely helping me relax a little going into the 3rd trimester.

Sorry I had taken a huge step back from mumsnet until yesterday as been really struggling but funnily enough started a thread to ask a question yesterday so was lovely to here from you all :)

I am now on cycle 10 11dpo BFN. I have had a 21 day progesterone test which came back low and an ultrasound which has confirmed pcos last week and just waiting for an appointment with the gp on the 23rd to confirm next steps. Although I have been really upset about it I feel relieved to know that something is going on and there may be a way to resolve it :)

Just got to wait and see what hormone options etc are available now and hoping that will give us a better chance of a positive :)
