@sunflowersaremyfav93 I'd 100% get the vaccine if I was TTC and not yet pregnant. And I think I'm willing to get it whilst pregnant so long as I'm past 12 weeks (which I now am). But the later the better. If I got offered it roughly around the same time as the whooping cough vaccine then I think I'd take it. Having looked at the science behind it I can't see anything that logically could harm a growing baby, but will feel more comfortable once there's some data to back it up.

CookieMonster3001 · 02/03/2021 10:35

@velam hope your EPU visit goes well fingers crossed for you that everything is OK.

CookieMonster3001 · 02/03/2021 10:34

@sunflowersaremyfav93 it might be worth following doctorpavan on instagram if u have it. She has been putting a lot of info regarding the vaccine and TTC. Personally if I was not pregnant I would get the vaccine as there is no evidence it effects fertility and this goes for if I was actively TTC. Now pregnant, I wont be getting it as the advice is to only get it while pregnant if your high risk or your job involves you working in the frontline. As an office worker, I rarely leave the house so dont think I would really need it. I will be getting it after birth once safe to do so.

velam · 02/03/2021 09:45

@CookieMonster3001 it turns from brown spotting to more pinky.
it is so stressful, as it fills the tissue and few drops later then stops for 24 hr, then all again. every time I see it I panic and tears come. EPU booked me in for scan tomorrow, I really hope to hear some good news tomorrow and all this spotting go away.
I hope this week goes amazingly for you.

@sunflowersaremyfav93 I was reading and watching some stuff about this. Apparently 20,000 pregnant lady took vaccine in USA and till now there are no registered side effect on babies but I guess too early to say if there are any or not. I wouldn't know what I would do if I carried on being pregnant but if TTC I would get it probably.

sunflowersaremyfav93 · 02/03/2021 09:19

Ladies - I can't remember if we've had this discussion before.
Will you be getting the vaccine if
A) not pregnant but trying
B) pregnant

I've looked up the guidance on the NHS website and it seems as though the guidance is that it's ok to get it? I know we should be guided by the medical professionals but I feel uneasy about getting it, which may be completely wrong.

Had an awkward conversation with my MIL yesterday lunchtime, we were speaking about my SIL wedding in Sept in Spain and how we might be required to get the vaccine to fly.

She knew my feelings about the vaccine and TTC so I felt like she was probing me for my thoughts so I ended up being 100% transparent (now regretting) but I told her we're actively TTC and I don't know if I feel comfortable getting it to go to the wedding because I could very well be pregnant by then. She was understanding to be honest but it felt very odd if you know what I mean.

Interested to hear your views on the vaccine and TTC and being pregnant.

@SendmetoFlorida I think it's too early to test lovely, I'd hold out till Thursday at least. Did you ovulate on time this month?

@princesscallie I'd be feeling the exact same, have you googled it at all?

@CookieMonster3001 I am trying to jeep occupied, work is really busy atm so that helps but I'm already thinking about how I can't wait to test. I just need to remember anything I'm feeling atm at 3/4dpo isn't anything. I'll start the pineapple from tomorrow, I read that that's good to eat from 5-10dpo.

@CookieMonster3001 hopefully you'll start to relax once this week passes! X

princesscallie · 02/03/2021 07:57

@SendmetoFlorida I'd try again later in the week. You just never know.

I am now 3 days late. I did a clearblue digital test just now and it's not pregnant. I've no idea what's going on. If I don't get my period before Friday I'm going to call the doctor because the cramps in my tummy are quite severe at times. Also for 2 years my period has been like clockwork so now we have decided to try for another one I don't understand what is going on? Short cycle last month, long cycle this month! Feeling a bit deflated this morning.

SendmetoFlorida · 02/03/2021 07:11

BFN :(
Used early test and period due Friday/Sat. Am I out for this month 😩

CookieMonster3001 · 01/03/2021 18:54

Hi Ladies!!

Sorry for the absense! I have been so busy at work!

Hope you are all doing well

@velam Try not to worry too much, brown spotting is old blood and usually is fine

@kayeyeem you are a couple of days ahead of me, I am 4w4d today (although if I go by ovulation I am actually 5w today) I hope you are feeling a bit better now! Its only natural to worry. Try to relax as much as possible.

@sunflowersaremyfav93 I realise this is late but I wouldnt worry about being out based on your timing, you covered your bases with plenty of sex so I think you are well in with a chance! How is your TWW going?

@newbieb glad the drs said its fine! keeping my fingers crossed for you and hope you feel a bit better soon!

@wowthisisreal I usually ovulate the day after my static which makes the day after that 1DPO.

@sendmetoflorida keeping my fingers crossed for you!

@princesscallie ooo fingers crossed for you too!!

Not much going on with me to be honest! I am just waiting for this week to be over as its around this time last time that I started spotting and miscarried a few days later so feeling very anxious. Although my boobs have got quite heavy and not so much sore, but tender to the touch and my nipples hurt! My OH has also noticed that my body temp is really warm recently. Im having the mildest of sickly feeling today, so wonder if its going to kick in soon. Me and OH have decided if we manage to make to to the 6w mark, we are going to book in for a private scan at around 7wks! I dont think I can wait for the NHS one, itll drive me insane!

Wishing all you guys in your TWW best of luck and cant wait to see some more BFPs this month!!!

princesscallie · 01/03/2021 16:06

Hi ladies. Hope all is well with you all. So just a quick update from me. I am now 2 days late. I did a cheapy test this morning and it picked up nothing. I have cramping in my lower pelvic area and in my lower back. My boobs are fuller too and I have slight nausea but nothing major. I also have some sort of creamy discharge. I went back to work today so have something now to distract me from what is going on. So I will probably wait until closer to the weekend to test but a clear blue digital test. I am sort of worried its something not pregnancy related as my cycle is always 29/30 days since I came off my pill over 2years ago. And then last month it was 26 days and now its disappeared again...

velam · 01/03/2021 10:02

@Kayeyeem don't worry about spotting, apparently it's not very common. I had two more incident by spotting during weekend. One occasion I was convinced I am misscarring and cried my eyes out. But since then nothing. I want to be positive and think this one sticks but as soon as I get a bit of pain in my tummy or back I freak out. have no other symptoms to actually help me relax, lol.

@NewbieB I wish all spotting and bleeding stop now and can enjoy rest of the pregnancy.

Kayeyeem · 28/02/2021 21:52

Thanks @sunflowersaremyfav93 and @SendmetoFlorida I brought some cheapie tests yesterday and seeing the two lines somehow seemed more real than the word pregnant on a digital lol. But this weekend the morning sickness has suddenly kicked in, feeling so queasy 🤢 so I do feel a bit calmer than I did! 😂
@NewbieB fingers crossed it all settles down soon. When do you plan on testing again?

sunflowersaremyfav93 · 28/02/2021 20:56

@SendmetoFlorida I'm only 1dpo and I'm already thinking how early can I test 😩
It's sooo hard isn't it

OP posts:
SendmetoFlorida · 28/02/2021 20:24

Waiting to test is SO HARD. Had a dip in BBT this morning so I'm hoping it's implantation dip and it goes back up tomorrow 🤞
AF not due for another 6 days yet! Driving myself crazy 😂

Wowthisisreal · 28/02/2021 10:33

@sunflowersaremyfav93 DC1 we fell pregnant first cycle so this is all new to be tbh.

sunflowersaremyfav93 · 28/02/2021 10:30

@Wowthisisreal From what I understand once you get EWCM it's time to go baby dance (I thought only once a day because of sperm quality) but because a perm can live inside the woman for up to 5 days it's good to DTD during FW week. I also read that OPKs only detect the LH surge but temping as well would help pinpoint O.
I had the same issue this month, I was going by what my app said, ended up O on CD17 by that point we'd DTD every day and we were knackered and couldn't do it anymore.
I said to my OH I don't understand how people get pregnant after one night stands?? There is so much to it.
Did you have an easier time with DC1?
We'll be in the TWW together at least.. we can try keep eachother sane.

OP posts:
Wowthisisreal · 28/02/2021 10:16

@sunflowersaremyfav93 the only consolation is that EWCM and app all seemed to correlate with the OPK but honestly looking online every article says different as to when is the best time to BD. from what I can understand doing to before is good but doing it as soon as you get the OPK is best. And doing it once a day is optimum at that point? 🤣 once I got the OV pains I figured it was too late and would hope that the two times Bd would be enough? We did think about doing it 2/3 times just to be sure yesterday but then didn't know about decline in quality etc.

Would love to know if that's right. Its a lot more difficult for #2 - far less opportunities to BD.

sunflowersaremyfav93 · 28/02/2021 09:37

@Wowthisisreal I used the CB OPKs as well and would love to know the answer, the whole process of my first fertile window has been me obsessing over OPKs I think next cycle I'm going to just go by EWCM.

OP posts:
Wowthisisreal · 28/02/2021 09:00

Hi ladies - does anyone know if when you get the static smile does that count as your O day? Or the day after? Static smile on Friday morning and BD on Friday and Saturday... and had ovulation pains Sat Eve (yesterday). Would that be ok? We had a stressful week so no BD on flashing smiley days (but only started testing on Weds properly). BD on Tuesday.

Not sure I'm a fan of the OPKs - felt way more pressure to BD which didn't help at all. So worried we may have fluffed if this cycle.

NewbieB · 27/02/2021 20:37

@sunflowersaremyfav93 fairplay for going for it! It can be hard work when forced for sure! Good luck!

@SendmetoFlorida you could get a positive on 11DPO- mine was 10 DPO in the aft. Good luck!

@Arrierttyclock sorry AF arrived - hope you are feeling positive about trying again.

@Kayeyeem - totally get how you are feeling - I’m imagining all sorts the spotting could have been but also that i’m imagining any symptoms.
Trying to avoid testing for a bit and will next week again and hoping to see the weeks rise on the CB digital.

@SendmetoFlorida it’s feels like such a long time doesn’t it! Looking forward to hearing how it goes x
UPDATE
Thanks all for the lovely comments. Doc said could all be perfectly normal implantation bleeding but to do another test in a couple of weeks. Currently not spotting - had brown jelly like discharge this morning (which apparantly is normal!). I’m hoping for the best Yet trying not to get too excited. Still feeling exhausted and pukey which I’m hoping are good signs. 🤞🏼

SendmetoFlorida · 27/02/2021 16:55

@sunflowersaremyfav93 sounds like you've been busy! We had the same problem... DTD so many days in a row that one night we were just too tired then I got positive OPK next morning! So annoying 😂 so we DTD that morning and next morning! 8DPO now and trying to hold out to take an early response test on Tuesday...
@Kayeyeem fingers crossed all goes well for you. I'm sure I read somewhere that implantation bleeding isn't actually that common!
@Arrierttyclock sorry about AF, fingers crossed for next cycle.

@NewbieB how are you getting on? Hope all is okay.

THIS IS THE LONGEST 2 WEEKS EVER

sunflowersaremyfav93 · 27/02/2021 08:40

@arrierttyclock Really sorry to hear AF arrived, I second what cookie said... eat all the food and drink all the drink! I hope you’re ok. It’s such a rollercoaster isn’t it. On to the next cycle though. 💖

@kayeyeem I’m sending you love, it makes total sense how you’re feeling, I’m not going to say try and relax because it’s hard to relax and it’s just so normal how you’re feeling. Positive thinking though, it’ll be ok.

Update from me - so got my static smiley yesterday morning (but the colour on my IC was rising from Thurs night) so I guess I be ovulated/am ovulation today. Anyway we DTD Fri, Sat, Sun, Tues - Thurs and last night prob when it mattered the most we just couldn’t do it it felt soooo forced and just want even enjoyable so we just left it. We’ll try again today but I think we’re all baby danced out. I’ve been reading online and am reading different things about how long sperm lives.
I’m so annoyed at myself, we went at it every day and my peak came too late. Do you guys think I’m out for the month for jot doing it last night?

OP posts:
Kayeyeem · 27/02/2021 07:31

@NewbieB Oh wow congratulations! Hopefully it was implantation. If you look at implantation images (gross I know) on google some can seem more like period heavy. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼
@princesscallie sounds promising, they are all symptoms I've had and the backache is particularly bad. Fingers crossed for you 🤞🏼
@Arrierttyclock Ah sorry it was BFN. It's ok to be upset, it's disappointing, especially when you have symptoms that could point to pregnancy. Sending hugs your way!
@sunflowersaremyfav93 So glad you got your peak 😊 fingers crossed 🤞🏼
@CookieMonster3001 I can imagine your are feeling very anxious, hopefully that will lessen somewhat when you get past this week. Just try to keep busy and hopefully it will go quickly for you 😊
@velam brown usually means old blood so hopefully it's nothing but your body adjusting to everything. Take it easy this weekend.

Well I'm apparently 4 weeks and 4 days pregnant but I'm having serious anxiety that it's all in my head 🙈 The fact I had no implantation bleeding is what started it and then I watched some medical drama which had a lady with a hysterical pregnancy in 😫 now I keep thinking I'm imagining any symptoms 😭 I've never found out this early before and have always had medical help to find out (drs pregnancy test, blood test, transvaginal scan, early ultrasound scan etc) so I'm completely doubting myself! I'm going to have to buy more pregnancy tests today to check but my DH will kill me 🙈
