@bubblybrit Ah bless you, at least you know you’re still in the running! Fingers crossed for you tomorrow let me know how you get on xx

bubblybrit · 22/04/2021 12:12

@Loulou237. I don’t know what got into me this morning as I used Acutest which was from local convenience store. I always use a FRER and have always waited for fmu...no idea what possessed me today. Think I’m having a stressful week at work with a poorly 2 year old and just wanted some good news lol 😂 x

Loulou237 · 22/04/2021 11:59

@bubblybrit this is why I don’t keep tests in the house! Grin see how long you can leave it definitely. What kind of test did you use too?

gizmo167 · 22/04/2021 11:32

@SamBass theres def a line, I would try another test too, just to see!

bubblybrit · 22/04/2021 11:25

@Loulou237. I knew I shouldn’t have tested today. Especially in the absence of fmu! I’ll test again at the weekend if AF doesn’t appear x

elsimo · 22/04/2021 10:58

@SamBass yeah the negative tests are hard to take but at least u would know. I'm pretty sure it's a new pregnancy.

I'm 9dpo here - get my 21 day bloods back tommorow. Feeling very tired and very grumpy which is standard each month really.
I have no tests in the house and not going to bother as my cycle has been all over the place so not sure when my period should actually come 🙈
Maybe will test in June if I don't have a period by then lol.

SamBass · 22/04/2021 10:53

@Loulou237 you really think so? Sometimes im like yeah its darker than other times im like no its not. I just keep thinking shouldn't it be darker by now if its a new pregnancy ??

@elsimo I've thought about that but think im scared of it showing negative again 😞 i think its the best thing to do though so i might get one at weekend

elsimo · 22/04/2021 10:39

@SamBass what about if u just got a normal test (like an Asda one u got ur negative) and then if u get a positive on that then u know it's defo a new pregnancy?

Loulou237 · 22/04/2021 10:36

@SamBass it definitely looks darker to me Smile

SamBass · 22/04/2021 10:34

@Loulou237 i obviously threw Mondays away but ive managed to put both pictures together. Top one is Mondays

Loulou237 · 22/04/2021 10:24

@SamBass have you got pics of the two next to each other?
Nooooo @bubblybrit it doesn’t necessarily mean you’re out at all, say you implanted late you might have a small amount of hcg and not using fmu will have a massive effect on it! You’re not out til AF shows

bubblybrit · 22/04/2021 10:12

Well I caved and tested this morning given AF due today but getting BFN. Didn’t use fmu but would have thought that I’d at least have gotten a squinter if I was pregnant. Still getting twinges which is unusual for me when AF is on the way but guess I need to get used to the fact that AF is likely around the corner!

SamBass · 22/04/2021 09:54

@Loulou237 yeah i tested again this morning there is a faint positive again but I can't tell if its any lighter than Mondays i don't think its any darker though. Im so confused. Ive had really bad cramps all week and back pain too
Got everything crossed for your testing please let us know how you get on.

@bubblybrit yes distraction is definitely the way to go! I know what you mean I hate the waiting game and not knowing for sure. Thanks, you too, fingers crossed! Xxx

bubblybrit · 22/04/2021 08:58

@Loulou237. This is my 4th cycle after my mmc although we took a little break TTC so technically only cycle 2 of actively trying. I will try and hold off until tomorrow. Super busy at work today so might be a good distraction? I’m holding on to the thought of being pregnant so will either be an extreme high or extreme low....think I’d just rather know one way or the other so part of me wants to hold and test later this morning. So confused! I’ve no experience of d&c but I hope all your symptoms results in a BFP 😀

Loulou237 · 22/04/2021 08:26

@bubblybrit oh that all sounds like a good sign! I really hate that all the symptoms are the same as AF symptoms. Have you had many cycles since your MC? This is my first cycle since so haven’t even had an AF yet. Makes it even more annoying as don’t know when to expect it really! I’ve also had cramps on and off but as I had a D&C and not had one before I can’t trust them to be one or the other if that makes sense. If I were you I’d wait til tomorrow or if you really can’t wait I guess you could hold it for a few hours and not drink much?! Good luck and let me know how you get on!

bubblybrit · 22/04/2021 08:16

@Loulou237. AF was due any point between Monday and today. Was going to hold out until Saturday but I’m sooo tempted to test early! I’ve had cramps from Saturday that keep coming and then completely disappearing which is unusual for me when AF is on its way. I usually get cramps pretty constant for a day or two before AF so making me optimistic. Probably overly so which isn’t always a good thing. Only problem is that the test wouldn’t be with fmu so now not sure whether it’s best to wait until tomorrow? Symptom spotting is driving me crazy at the moment as well! Good luck when you decide to test x

Loulou237 · 22/04/2021 07:39

Congratulations @gizmo167!!! @SamBass are you testing again this morning? Everything crossed for you! Is anyone else testing this weekend? I am trying to hold out til my AF is late but it’s so difficult and I’m symptom spotting like mad!

SamBass · 21/04/2021 20:09

Thanks all i will re test and try to relax although i have a-lot of cramps today, had them all week but slightly worse today so expecting AF in next few days!
@gizmo167 i have everything crossed for you.

bez91 · 21/04/2021 16:41

Fantastic @gizmo167 really pleased for you, just take one day at a time 💕

@SamBass I agree with @susiebluebell just relax and have a good time, nothing could be absorbed by any new embryo due to no umbilical cord 😊

Loll35 · 21/04/2021 15:13

@gizmo167 fantastic news, congratulations. Hope you are feeling okay? Fingers crossed this one is your sticky little one 🙏

gizmo167 · 21/04/2021 14:46

@SamBass my last mc was on 14 Feb, had my first af on 22 March, took a year between my first mc and last bfp so didn't expect to fall as quickly, really praying this one sticks!

susiebluebell · 21/04/2021 12:14

Wonderful to see @gizmo167 and fingers crossed it all goes smoothly from here.

@SamBass I know that frustration of thinking 'if only I could work out X, then I'd know what was going on'... but with a lot of TTC you will only see results after a period of time, and I think doing repeats of pg tests every 2-3 days is the best way to tell, for you.

If I was in your shoes, I'd have a couple of drinks on Friday, not get hammered, but just relax and enjoy myself. Either way, the potential baby doesn't get its nutrition directly from you yet (too early for umbilical cord) so having one or two drinks isn't the worst. And think of how many people get pregnant while sloshed on holiday Wink

gizmo167 · 21/04/2021 12:00

Thanks everyone, going to be a tense few weeks, please don't let it be a third loss!

MammaJ21 · 21/04/2021 11:46
@MammaJ21 that you thats helpful. Assuming my surgery day is cycled day 1 in now on cycle day 38 so just have to wait and test again I guess
Ah it's so hard to know isn't it! They say around up to 6 weeks don't they, but depending on how far gone you were etc.

It looks like it could well be a new one. fingers crossed for you lovely!

@gizmo167 congratulations and sending lots of positivity x
