Hi everyone, just looking to see if anyone is just starting the next cycle and want to journey along together? We are TTC baby no.1 and this will be the 5th month of trying but 4th of actively using OPKs etc. After 2 months of being convinced we'd got pregnant and then AF arriving both times I'm getting a bit disheartened (and I am more than aware that it's really early days compared to most but it's just how it feels to me - can't seem to shake off the "something must be wrong feeling" even though you know it's probably fine) anyone trying anything new or different this month? Sending baby dust vibes to all!

@Loops01 it’s so hard isn’t it when you notice everything that’s probably normal anyway 😩

Loops01 · 02/03/2021 15:26

Oh maybe? Strange. I haven't had covid as far as I am aware and no real symptoms but it would be interesting to see how or if it really affects fertility/ttc. Last month I thought I was pregnant as boobs were so sore, had loads of cramps and metallic taste but nope! So I don't hold out for early symptoms anymore. Shame how it takes the fun/excitement out of things after trying but not happening

Bellesjp · 02/03/2021 15:07

@Loops01 think I’m going to try and hold out testing too 🙈

My boobs always used to hurt badly after ov but ever since my Dec cycle they haven’t hurt at all, very strange 🤷🏼‍♀️ I had covid at Xmas so wonder if that’s messed things up a bit?!

Loops01 · 02/03/2021 14:34

I am 4DPO and have been a bit more on and off crampy than previous but normally my boobs hurt by now and they aren't. No other symptoms. Trying not to get my hopes up. Decided I am not going to test early this month.

Bellesjp · 02/03/2021 13:14

How’s everyone doing? I’m 5dpo today and feeling very dizzy!

hels301990 · 27/02/2021 19:34

Supposedly lol all stuff I've read on here and figured it can't hurt lol 4DPO here...seems to be a lifetime to go to AF (or hopefully not AF as the case is)

Bellesjp · 27/02/2021 19:33

@hels301990 😂 I’ve not heard of those, is it meant to help implantation?!

I’m 2dpo today.. this is gonna drag!!

hels301990 · 26/02/2021 20:37

Tell me you're in the 2 week wait without telling me you're in the 2 week wait...I'll go first. I'm eating pineapple, drinking pomegranate juice and trying to keep my feet warm 🙈😂

OP posts:
katiemumma20 · 24/02/2021 20:47

@hels301990 haha definitely! Think we all run out of steam by the two week wait! 😂

hels301990 · 24/02/2021 20:44

@katiemumma20 yes I think you're right but might just take it down a notch or two lol

OP posts:
Bellesjp · 24/02/2021 20:17

@hels301990 think I’m going to wait until I’m due on or at least a few days before, then higher chance of seeing a line if I am pregnant. Think it upsets me more seeing nothing so to think I’ve seen a line but there potentially be nothing would be worse 🙈

katiemumma20 · 24/02/2021 20:09

Just thought I’d add that it’s still worth doing the deed in the tww just incase! Xx

hels301990 · 24/02/2021 20:05

@Bellesjp I can't decide whether to test early or not (obvs not for 9 days or so)...Can't decide whether I'd rather wait and get that really clear line but potentially not know if I have a chemical or to test early but be aware that it won't be celebrations straight away 🧐

@hels301990 I’ll be joining you soon, think I’ll either ov today or tomorrow. Had another positive opk this morning but fainter tonight so sure ov will be soon!

hels301990 · 24/02/2021 14:47

Officially in the 2WW now; assuming peak Monday, ov yday 🤞 now how to try and avoid symptom spotting ...

hels301990 · 23/02/2021 20:31

Ahh thanks both! Good to hear others experiences and the state of your knickers isn't every day conversation with friends is it!! We are going to DTD tonight (peak was yday on CB and this morning with an IC) and maybe tomorrow morning if I'm feeling particularly energetic lol Hoping that will be enough as could do with a rest hahaha wondered if it was worth going for it again on Friday in case I ovulate later than the 24hours after peak but we shall see!

Not been on here for a few days so just catching up! Yes my CM varies too, this month I have hardly any. Also some months my boobs hurt and some months they don’t 🤷🏼‍♀️

Well I got positive opk today, really dark second line which it never went that dark last month, hopefully that’s a good sign! Earlier too on cd17, wasn’t expecting til Friday!

Loops01 · 23/02/2021 15:33

I have noticed the changes in mucus but the volume of it varies month to month with me. I normally see it alongside the opks but just now I still haven't got a flashing smiley but I see more of the mucus starting so unsure if it means I'm just about to start the fertile window or not. Some months I feel like it comes out easy but others it tends to be more when I wipe. I wouldn't worry about it. I think it would depend on what you are doing. I feel it more in my pants when I am walking or exercising or even things like gardening or painting where I'm moving about more. I think yours sounds normal. I have that same niggle, it's the desire to want something but you can't just make it happen and when everyone else around you makes it look so easy, it gets difficult and you start blaming yourself. At least we are all in the same boat roughly here.

hels301990 · 23/02/2021 13:20

Does anyone else notice a change of cervical mucus from month to month? I usually have lots around ovulation, my underwear always feels quite "wet" for a few days and I have the classic jelly like EWCM for a couple of days too. But this month and last I've been a lot drier - not completely dry, wet if I feel inside (sorry tmi) but nothing really in my knickers and no really jelly like EWCM. I am panicking that this means I'm not ovulating. I have had positive opks on both IC strips and on the clear blue advanced but I'm not temping to try and confirm actual ovulation 😬 Hoping I'm just stressing for nothing but there's such a niggle in me that I can't conceive (normal regular periods, no PCOS, normal ovaries etc on an unrelated ultrasound last year)

Got my peak solid face this morning - really surprised as only had 3 flashing faces and usually have 4-6. No idea if this is a good thing or not. Won't get to DTD today annoyingly but did it Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and tomorrow in my "fertile week" identified on Clue so fingers crossed!!!

I know it's like a constant exam haha. At least the men enjoy the practice!! I have started taking coq10 and inositol this cycle so hoping it boosts cycle and general mood. Praying for your BFP!

hels301990 · 21/02/2021 15:37

Hahaha I have done a lot of reading over the last few months lol I just need to translate it into a BFP now! The most flashing faces I've had is 6 and the least has been 4 so we shall see 🤞🤞🤞

OP posts:
Loops01 · 21/02/2021 15:00

Ah good to know. Thank you! You seem on it!! Haha. Good job. I never had that many flashies. It's normally just 2 days then peak! You'll have to let me know how you get on on the lead up to end of cycle!!!

hels301990 · 21/02/2021 14:39

I'm still flashing today and so far have managed to DTD on days 5, 6, 9, 10, 12 and 13 lol won't manage tomorrow which is typical as I recon I might get my peak so will see what the deal is and probs aim for 15 and 16. @Loops01 I think if you are using the clear blue you ignore the lines on the sticks - something to do with the double hormone sensing I think?!

OP posts:
Loops01 · 21/02/2021 06:04

Cd13 and no sign of a flashing smiley! Ahh and the test line is almost nothing. Been testing since CD9 and the line is fading. Hate opks at time. Or maybe it's just my body. Hopefully still ovulate soon but it will push my luteal phase back down. Sad
