Missing period! Stuck in limbo

Hi everyone just wanting some advice or experience. Ttc #3 last period was 19.12.2020 so was due on around 20th January. That has come and gone and still nothing. Negative tests obviously. Always been regular have missed the odd one before. Have also been using opks but there still all fairly light so nothing happening on that front. Just feel like I'm stuck in limbo. No ovulation happening up to now and no period. What do people do in this situation?! Just keep DTD? Or is it pointless with negative opks all the time. Soo frustrating. I'm now cd 49 roughly. Confused driving myself mad testing all the time . Why does ttc make us go so crazy??!! Grin

@skl2021 just feel deflated this month and we haven't been DTD much due to both being knackered after work

@Gspps hey and welcome. Did u track ovulation? I think a bfp should show by now? But never say never. Bit hard to say if u don't know when ovulation happened incase it was late. My cycles were quite regular than last month totally went off and think I was around cd50. Never happened before. Sorry it's not better news. I just kept testing until I got af. X

Hey!

I'm not sure I'm in line with your cycles, but I'm on CD31 and normally mine are 25-29

I tested tonight and it was negative 😓 I know it was probably too dilute so going to test again in the morning but I'm never this late. Would it be too early to show a BFP?xx

@Liz2021 yes I just had a read and that's what I'm wondering if I missed the ovulation and that's why it wasn't completely dark and gone by the morning? Maybe it was a fast peak 🤣 only thing I can do is keep testing and see if there is another surge that's darker than that. I'm sick of doing opks 🤦 I also read that temperature takes a few days to increase after ovulation so hopefully that what happens with you? Yes u will bounce back. Haha everyone turns obsessive especially when we try so hard not to. I say every time I won't obsess and it's all I'm thinking about?! Driving me crazy ATM not knowing.

@Skl2021 PS thanks a lot, I'm feeling down today but I'm sure I'll bounce back. Just got to try to not get too obsessed with TTC but it's much easier said than done in my experience!

@Liz2021 sorry your feeling down. This whole ttc journey can be hard especially when u really want it and it doesn't happen easy. No I haven't tracked bbt. Might start if having no joy this cycle. I got the highest opk around cd 12 but not as dark as the control line. So don't know if that was it or not ?! IV been doing opks since anyway and there always either hardly showing or next day a bit of a line and vice versa. Doing my head in. I just thought cos I'm past cd 20 my chances are getting smaller might not be ovulating at all. Unless my cycle is long like my last one. I hope it isn't I can't stand that again 🤦
@Sparkles512 why u not feeling hopeful? U still have a good chance to make this month positive!!

@Skl2021 by the way my positive OPK was CD16. I don't think it's that uncommon to get a positive later on in your cycle though. Have you ever tracked BBT?

Hi @Skl2021, I'm okay thanks. I got a positive OPK yesterday and have started measuring BBT as well. I read that a positive OPK plus a rise in BBT is good evidence that ovulation has occurred? Haven't had a rise in temperature yet, but will let you know how I get on. Been a bit fragile recently as been very down about how difficult TTC is. I went for a walk with my friend today and she told me she got pregnant first cycle after coming off the pill 12 weeks ago! It just isn't fair. I hope you get your positive OPK soon, I'm crossing my fingers for you!

Hey everyone just seeing how everyone is! Any updates or ovulation from anyone. I'm cd 21 opks still up and down daily. Don't understand what's going on and don't really have much hope ATM 😔 keeping on testing see if anything changes. X

@Crazydoglady123 ohh sorry didn't even know they could tell. Yes I don't blame you onwards and upwards hopefully! Not really it was dark last Friday and then light Saturday Sunday. Think it went dark again Monday ish but it's never as dark as the line so it says don't take it as a positive. Then light again all week. IV been and bought a different brand incase the tests are dodgey so guess I will try them for another couple of days. I'm cd 17 today so thought it would of been by now 🤔 unless I'm not ovulating. Still non the wiser 🤣 my body is just playing me lately 🤦

Thank you @Skl2021 I just want to fast forward time now to my next cycle. If I would have been due to ovulate they would have seen some ripening follicles but there wasn't any so I'm out this cycle. Just hope this cycle doesn't drag too long...a nice short one will do me nicely. Any news on your front?

@Crazydoglady123 so sorry to hear this. Although I am happy that your cysts are sorted that's one good thing to come from this. Why would u get positive opks then? And how do they know that u won't ovulate either?! I can't imagine how bad your feeling after giving your all. Wish it was better news. Don't give up hope. You will get there x

Hey, so here's a blow to the OPK's. Had my scan and cysts are gone but even though I had a static smiley (peak) test yesterday I haven't ovulated nor going to. So just got to rock the rest of this cycle out and he wants me to try one more round of Clomid next cycle before I start my IVF. Feel so fed up. I've done everything I possibly can this month and was so happy to get my peak but just so confused now 🥺

@Liz2021 hope your opks go better than mine 🤣 were all not that far apart cycle wise. Can help each other through the tww!

What opks are we using? I know @Crazydoglady123 is using clear blue. Im on Amazon cheapies. Just wondering what time use test or time of day?

Hey @Skl2021 I actually got my static smiley (peak) this morn. Been really uncomfortable and bloated again this week and have my scan tomorrow (thank god) to see what's going on. Frustrating you haven't had yours yet. There's still time though! When I tracked about a year ago I didn't ovulate until day 19/20

@Crazydoglady123 how long does it flash smileys? That means the lead up to ovulation doesn't it? Hopefully soon for u then. Might take a look at that app never heard of it before. I know it says only take it as a positive it the line is darker than the control just don't understand why it would go so dark then totally go faint again if nothing happened. 🤦 I took one Friday am and that was negative. So it did change from morning to night. Guess I will keep testing see if I get any other surges and if not I will go off that as ovulation 🤞🤔

@Skl2021 nooo still on flashing smileys but been getting pain yesterday so think my ovaries are trying! I'm really not sure on the strips as I've never used them but can you use them with an app to take a pic of them and it takes the data from it? I used Femometer for tracking cycles and sure you can do that on there

@Crazydoglady123 have u ovulated yet? I don't know what to think. These cheap tests are rubbish. I got a darkish line on Friday pm. But not as dark as the control line but the darkest IV had up to now. Then took one twice yesterday and one today and there all so faint again. Don't know if that was ovulation or what 🤦 going to have to keep testing to see if they change again but it's doing my head in 🤣🙈 if it was Friday I would have been around cd 12.

@Crazydoglady123 were currently dtd every other day. Just wanted to know if it should be more or less or if there's any particular pattern we should follow 🤔🤣 been so long since we ttc IV forgot everything. Just trying to give us the best chance. Haha yes bit of a weird one isn't it never heard of eating hot food but hey worth a shot if she said so.
