Missing period! Stuck in limbo

Hi everyone just wanting some advice or experience. Ttc #3 last period was 19.12.2020 so was due on around 20th January. That has come and gone and still nothing. Negative tests obviously. Always been regular have missed the odd one before. Have also been using opks but there still all fairly light so nothing happening on that front. Just feel like I'm stuck in limbo. No ovulation happening up to now and no period. What do people do in this situation?! Just keep DTD? Or is it pointless with negative opks all the time. Soo frustrating. I'm now cd 49 roughly. Confused driving myself mad testing all the time . Why does ttc make us go so crazy??!! Grin

@Skl2021 day 14 would be this Sunday then, might have to order a FRER 🙈

Oh no thats really hard I'm not sure we could keep up with that much DTD we both get pretty tired from working but try our best to DTD as ofter as we can

@Sparkles512 well implantation takes roughly 9-12 days I think 🤔 so now u know u did ovulate surely something would show at 14 dpo? Seems a sensible wait doesn't it? Haha if it was me I cave around day 10 and can't stop myself 🤦 always say I won't but I have no willpower 🤣 I'm roughly cd 13 last month ovulated on cd 28 so bit longer to go if I follow that pattern. But my body is all over past few months so could suprise me 🙄 last month we DTD every other day then everyday for 4 days around ovulation. Don't know wat to try this month but I'm not putting that much pressure on again it was exhausting Especially with long cycles 🙈 x

I'm not too sure when my period should be due....last cycle was only 22 days and the cycle before that was 46 days.
When would you suggest testing?
Maybe 14dpo? Or shall I wait until AF appears/hopefully doesn't in 50+ days time?
Its all so confusing! I don't want to test and get disappointed 🙈

Ah just keep testing! What CD are you on now?

@Sparkles512 yes! Finally some good news on this thread 🎉 bet your releaved! When are you going to start testing! So exciting 😁 I'm feeling ok haven't been as strict with DTD as last month. Don't think I will be ovulating for another week or two according to last month. Still testing incase it throws it early. I have had lots of ewcm since af finished tho which isnt normal 🤔 only usually get it around ovulation. X

@skl2021 I've just spoken to the DR and bloods confirmed I have ovulated 😃

So I should be 10dpo now and we DTD the day before aswell as AM & PM on ovulation day.

Not getting my hopes up as I'm craving chocolate today which is usually a sign of AF but I'm just glad that I am ovulating 😃

How are you feeling?

No symptoms at all.

A work colleague has just come back to work this week from maternity leave and has announced she's 16 weeks pregnant.
I'm pleased for her I really am but why do some people get pregnant at the drop of a hat and others really struggle its just not fair.

Hey, no we're still abstaining. I'm meant to start my injections tomorrow but i overstimulated on the Clomid again and have to go for a scan at my IVF clinic at 9am to see if I can continue on this cycle or delay it 😭 I'll be so gutted if it's delayed. I'm so fed up, bloated and in pain. I have 6 follicles on my left ovary each between 5cm and 2.5cm and my ovary is 8.5cm too so pretty uncomfortable atm 🥺

@skl2021 yes I think I'll use my opk from 21st March. Otherwise my period might unexpectedly appear and I'll be on my next cycle before I can have my blood done.

Update; I have spoken to my GP who has said I can have a blood test to check progesterone and it needs to be a week before my expected period.

Now to guess what day my expected period should be!
They're all over the place so might be a stab in the dark?
Possibly thinking I should just have it 7 days after when I thought I ovulated from my OPKS?

At least this is progress feel much happier today thank you for the support ladies!

Last month I ovulated on cd 28! So let's see if it's any earlier this month 🤦 long wait if it isn't 😩

It should ideally be done 7 days after you ovulate so for you CD28

So what if you ovulate after day 21? Or does that mean you will have problems conceiving if after day 21 🤔 mine have all been after day 21 so maybe I'm not 🤦 so confusing all this.

You can have a day 21 blood test for progesterone. The levels would show if you've ovulated or not

@Sparkles512 yes no point in keeping on trying if your not 😩 surely they should test you if someone told you u that your not? I'm not to clued up on it all. I don't know if @Crazydoglady123 had the ovulation test at day 21 or something? Or am I mixing everything up 🤦🤔

I didn't even think at the time to ask if they can do a test to see if I'm ovulating I might give them a call back 🙈
We've been trying for 8 months they said if I'm not pregnant within a year they can refer me to the fertility clinic.
But if I'm not ovulating then surely I'm just waiting for the year to be up with no purpose!

@Sparkles512 why is that? So if cycles are long you don't ovulate? Isn't there a test the doctor's do to see if u ovulate? My cycles are usually 30-35. ATM one was 49 and last one was around 38. So can opks be positive and you still don't ovulate? How long have u been ttc? X

Just curious how long is everyone's cycles typically?
I have spoken to a DR regarding other bits and when I mentioned that most of my cycles are 40-50 days, he said its very unlikely that I am ovulating.
Feel deflated 😭

@skl2021 done another OPK this afternoon still not as dark as yesterday so maybe yesterday was just a fluke? Or possibly I ovulated the day before because I've not tested for a few days 🙈 Either way we DTD yesterday and the day before so we should be covered if I did ovulate 🤞

@Sparkles512 hmm weird isn't it. Last month I had a high one and thought that was peak but obv wasn't as 2 weeks later it was alot darker so maybe it was trying to happen but didn't? But i wouldn't of known if I didn't carry on with the opks! Your only meant to do them in the afternoon anyway I think which I didn't know as I was doing them first wee 🤦 maybe something will show later? X
