Hi ladies anyone want to join me in a thread to chat about ttc this month? I’m currently on CD2.
A bit about me.

I’m 28 and TTC baby number 1. We’ve been trying for a year and a half now, I had 4 recurrent miscarriages in 2020 so hoping the next will stick. I’ve been given new medication to try next time.

@kaylsd

Morning ladies!! It's my birthday 🥳🙌🏻🌈 who said turning 27 in lockdown was bad! Will catch up properly soon Hope you are all okay, sending hugs 🥳❤️
Ahhh love this!! Happy Birthday lovely!! Happy baby dancing!!xx
lucea87 · 12/03/2021 07:16

Good to hear from you @Sallyjo27 glad all ok so far, been thinking of you!

@CycloGoose I know 😂😂 I was semi joking though. Femometer is sticking firm saying I'm now 3DPO and I've been pretty consistent with my temping too this week.

In other news, Rambo went to bed with no fuss last night AND he slept right through AND is still asleep...hallelujah....! It's been a long couple of weeks with him 😂😂

@CycloGoose sorry to hear AF has arrived. My luteal phase is 10 days and I’ve always been told it’s not a problem. Personally I would have a few tests privately (I have) and it was worth every penny. Or there is a “fertility” check on medichecks which might save you some money too. I’ve used ovusense too. I found it much better than the ava bracelet as I got fed up of wearing it around my wrist because I couldn’t put fake tan on 😂🙈 only thing is you can’t sell on your ovusense haha xx

I had my hcg levels back yesterday they were 351 at 15dpo. Just got to see if they double now.
My progesterone was 518 😂 (extremely high) but that’s to be expected with all the medication I’m taking xxx

Thanks @minthumbugs it's okay. I think everyone's allowed a moment to be sad but nothing to be done! Onwards! Still hoping @KatieLooLa can get a positive for us this weekend!

@lucea87 you're like 0.5dpo 🤣😂 it's going to be a long two weeks but hopefully with a very exciting end!

lucea87 · 11/03/2021 20:43

Sending hugs my lovely @CycloGoose 💚💚

@minthumbugs oooh bath sounds good too, I've not had a bath in ages!

I keep missing messages too 🤦🏼‍♀️

@Slinks8113 hope it goes ok, it will soon come round xx

minthumbugs · 11/03/2021 20:39

@CycloGoose sorry you've been upset. :( horrible feeling! OMG I had no idea that's how the Ovusense worked!!!

@lucea87 you're quite right. Think I might join in with some face masks and a nice bath at the weekend! I'm coping just now because it's only the first week so I know it's farrrrrr too early but dreading the week after haha. X

lucea87 · 11/03/2021 20:09

It's a face mask kinda night ladies! God I forgot how looooooooooong TWW is 🥺

CycloGoose · 11/03/2021 18:15

@minthumbugs I got 30% off so chuffed with that. Having to borrow a mates old iPhone to be able to use it though because I have a cheap ass phone. 😂

@slinks8113 I more meant the other way around NHS treat you if you prove there's a problem. I hope it's really beneficial for you hun good luck. Apr 8! Seems a long way off. Let's get babied up so you can cancel xxxx

@kaylsd I am loving thinking about your wizard of Oz moment and also your hubs sounds so lovely. You sound like you're both going to be absolutely amazing parents. I have everything crossed for you!

I've had a few tears and then I got stuck in to my work which had helped. One of my classes of boys is just the best. I love them. I also didn't have my worst class today which has really helped!

I'll let you know how I get on... It's basically the most expensive thermometer ever but you put it up your hooha while you sleep 😂 it measures your temperature every 5 minutes so it's a lot more reliable than bbt measurements in the morning.

I loved the pill. It really worked for me. I'm just hating not having a buN in the oven already FFS 🤣🤦🏼‍♀️

Slinks8113 · 11/03/2021 16:50

@minthumbugs

Wow *@kaylsd* lucky you!! 😍 Hope your friend is ok. I've heard so many horror stories about the pill and also had one myself so I will definitely never be going on it again, the thought of the crazy mood swings again is definitely off putting too. X

@CycloGoose sorry you're back to CD1. Hopefully your pricey new toy will help. Our bodies are absolutely rubbish messing about with all this spotting!!! X

@slinks8113 good on you for booking a consultation, GPs can be so useless sometimes. They might know their stuff but a bit more empathy wouldn't go a miss! I actually love a bit of yoga and meditation 😂😂😂 so maybe I'm onto a winner 😂 if it doesn't happen immediately who do I complain to?! I feel the exact same about the due date. I feel like I've set myself this strict goal to be pregnant by my due date and I need to get out that mindset. Easier said than done though ❤️

If yoga and meditation works for you....I'll be right on it with you 😂😂 It is an unhealthy mindset with the due date looming and I mostly try not and think about it but AF makes me emotional and overly sensitive. Let's see what consultant says, to be fair he can't see me until April 8th which will actually be just as I'm about to start my next cycle! It would be lovely to not need it haha x
kaylsd · 11/03/2021 16:29
@kaylsd I've been off the pill for almost 10 years now and never looked back! Not ideal using condoms or timing but looking back, the pill has a lot to answer for!!!
I'm going to take the same stance chick, I know it's not the best situation but least it stops messing up my bodies natural cycle! It's not worth the upside down life with it all again, swear I was a Jekyll and Hyde with it :')

Litterally the pill has put me off for life I actually never realised how hormonal I was until coming off it I was a right moody mare and I can say (TMI in advance) my sex drive has coincidently increased and not just for the principle of TTC 🙈 the things we do to try and prevent babies and now look, 7 cycles later 👀 😂🤞🏻
kaylsd · 11/03/2021 16:23
@kaylsd yeah I'm never going back on it. So scary for your friend! That breakfast looks so yummy. What a lovely husband you have!
Definitely AF so back to CD1. Getting AF is not the problem but why bugger around with the tiniest spots of nothing for 2 days first.
Hoping OvuSense can shed some light on the issue. I honestly think my progesterone doesn't stay high enough for long enough but we'll see I suppose.
@Slinks8113 will we be cycle twins again next time do you think?
If we get pregnant this round, it'll be my birthday as the due date pretty much.
I have a feeling it might be a January/February due date for me.
At least I can relax now I know what's going on!
Please let me know how you get on with your Ovusense, does it work like a fit bit what you wear all the time? I'm so sorry that AF has came :( least you can have a guilt free drink maybe a lil outburst cry (I tend to do this on CD1) then I put my big girl pants on (quite litterally comfy period pants) and embrace the new cycle! Thank you for your kindness towards hubs, I've just been shopping and came back to this, him & my mum have had a pact to try and make my lockdown birthday as normal as they can so house is full of balloons and decorations and I've been spoilt rotten to say each birthday what passes it doesn't feel much different to another day! You may have a little giggle when I came back my gazebo did a wizard of oz and was in neighbours back garden, so much to fist pumping that it survived the nights wind 😂😂🙈

lucea87 · 11/03/2021 13:09

How frustrating for you both @CycloGoose & @KatieLooLa 😢 I'll be right there with you in about 10 days!!!

My OH has told me 'that's it' 😂😂 but that's mainly because the dog is still being naughty at night so we had to wait ages to get it on last night....!

Slinks8113 · 11/03/2021 12:51

I believe they do accept your results from the NHS if you can get your gp to refer you privately - that's what the website said when I checked but my tests are prior to MC so need to be re run. I have a blood test and consultant appointment next week and then hopefully will go from there. :) xx

CycloGoose · 11/03/2021 12:43

Why are our bodies being so cruel to us? @Slinks8113 it really sucks!
I don't really know what to do. I think the GP will go mad if I call back again. I think 11 days isn't classed as being short enough to be a problem.
I'm wondering whether to pay for some tests privately but to what end? Will NHS accept my private results and provide cyclogest or something? I doubt it. Infuriating hearing that it can take up to a year repeatedly.
I was really hoping that I'd have a baby before I turned 35 - one last chance I suppose! At least it was a bit longer than my 9 last time.
Full flow for me isn't ever really that much anyway. Doctor said that just made me lucky not a problem.

Slinks8113 · 11/03/2021 12:34

@CycloGoose sorry to hear the start of AF. I had similar. I had about 4 days of spotting before I would consider it was AF so I've changed my dates as my temp was still high until yesterday. I think they say until full flow starts, it's not considered your AF yet so we're basically cycle twins again! :)
I have actually decided to book a consultation with a private clinic and seeing if they can help with short LP or get to the bottom of it. I don't believe I had a problem before the MC but seems it's taking some time to get back to normal....and the suggestion from the GP to try yoga and meditation doesn't really work for me 😂😂 also trying some supplements this month to see if that helps....desperation much?! I think in my head I just can't cope to get to my due date in June and not have fallen pregnant again so putting a bit too much pressure on myself! X x

@KatieLooLa

Did a test, negative. Not even a hint of a line this time. Still 3 days till AF is due though... my hopes have died a little I must admit but there is a small part that thinks it might all work out x
Might be still early yet darling you never know until AF shows, have you seen this chart of when you should consider testing based on your cycle length?

kaylsd · 11/03/2021 11:47

@CycloGoose

What kind of test *@KatieLooLa* ? Mine all negative so far but just the free ones that come with my OPKs.

@kaylsd I haven't bought the OvuSense yet as I haven't seen the red blood though I'm sure it's coming. Just being evil. I'll let you know though. Think snowdrops are pretty hardy and take care of themselves so a nice one to plant XXX Really excited for your birthday wild weekend! Hope the storm didn't blow your hot tub away!

At the edge of my sanity today. AF should be here according to Femometer and average luteal phase over last few cycles. Still brown spotting, heavier but not heavy. Cramps. I'm sure AF coming so I just wish it would either arrive or go away completely. I couldn't find my thermometer this morning so I don't know bbt. Just feeling really worked up and stupidly emotional. Not quite sure how I'm going to get my poker face on for my lessons today!

It was the first thing I checked this morning I imagined it being like Dorothys house on the wizard of oz flying away luckily it's stayed put! The pegs have come up slightly so hubs has gone and hammered them back down, he surprised me this morning with this breakfast he had pre ordered :') it literally was so nice!

AF is a pain in our backsides! Fingers and toes crossed that it stays at bay 🤞🏻 try and keep positive regardless what happens chick, we're all on the same journey together!

I was having a discussion with hubs last night saying I vow never to go back onto the pill again, my friends just had a PE and ended up in hospital really poorly and only route cause they could find a slight fault was the fact she was ok the pill, absolutely terrifies life out of me now as she's so fit and healthy otherwise :( it's so fun being a women 👀

@CycloGoose tried the digital Clearblue one, one left in box, still have cheapy ones and free one. Will wait till Monday to test again if AF doesn’t come Sunday x
