Hi ladies anyone want to join me in a thread to chat about ttc this month? I’m currently on CD2.
A bit about me.

I’m 28 and TTC baby number 1. We’ve been trying for a year and a half now, I had 4 recurrent miscarriages in 2020 so hoping the next will stick. I’ve been given new medication to try next time.

Oh also @CycloGoose our dog is a lab! He's 5 months old now! He's our first born 😂 I actually feel like a newborn will be easier then he is at times.....!!!

CycloGoose · 12/02/2021 22:08

Thanks everyone! I don't know. I'm thinking it will more than likely be AF but it's so early. I guess everyone is different and my only real way of knowing is waiting. Waiting game again! I know 9dpo is peak implantation bleed time but I've never had it before to compare. There was just a little bit in my knickers but AF is always very light to start, too 😵

lucea87 · 12/02/2021 21:22

@CycloGoose praying it's implantation bleeding for you!!!!

els10 · 12/02/2021 21:02

@CycloGoose oh! What kind of blood?! If it's brown or pink I've read that's implantation, red may not be

CeeJay1987 · 12/02/2021 21:01

@CycloGoose aww try not to freak out! Was it spotting? xx

CycloGoose · 12/02/2021 20:52

Gahhhhhhhhhh ladies. I'm freaking out.

I'm CD24, 9dpo (I think), AF due 17th and just been to loo and there's blood. Could it still be AF or maybe implantation bleeding? I got the solid smiley on CD13 but not on the IC tests. I checked temp and it had gone up on CD15 so I figured that was OD.

I'm praying it's not early AF. I've never in my life had a 24 day cycle but I don't dare get my hopes up. I really didn't think I was getting AF as I've been on a weight loss journey and normally my weight goes up just before AF and today is lost nearly 2lb.

Thoughts!? I guess I'll know in the morning if it's my worst friend paying an early visit.

CycloGoose · 12/02/2021 20:43

What kind of nurse are you @kaylsd ? I take my hat off to you! I may work 12-15 hour days but I'm so glad of that break once every 6 weeks or so.

No valentine's plans. My husband isn't really the romantic type and I'm not that bothered to be honest! I'm sure we'll go out for a walk. I did actually buy the Couple's Adventure Challenge book for us for Christmas so it might be nice to scratch one of those off and try something! We haven't done one yet!

Sounds like your hubs has done well tonight ☺️ nice of him to make the effort when you're working.

A friend of mine gifted us a free Hello Fresh box so will gobble all that up!

Re: CB I got the purple ones and you have to start on day 8. I went straight from blank circle to solid smiley so I didn't get the extra warning but it was only my first try. I did quite like it and it takes stress out of trying to work out whether it's quite as dark as control or not. I like that it compares to previous days and looks at 2 hormones. The pink one, as far as I'm aware, is exactly the same as cheapies but obviously with a digital read out.

Dyinghouseplant · 12/02/2021 19:16

I use easy@home tests and the premom app. The CB just seems so expensive!

els10 · 12/02/2021 19:07

@kaylsd I got the digital and used it this month, the only benefit I've seen compared to the cheapy strips is only have to pee once in the morning. I didn't ovulate until CD22 (not usual for me) and was peeing on the cheapies twice a day since 10DPO and to be honest it was exhausting ! With the digital it's just one time in the morning and it'll tell you when you're in your 48 hours for peak. So it's worth it for me! I might use a combination of the two next month (or hopefully I won't need to 🤣) just because the CB is more expensive!

kaylsd · 12/02/2021 18:58

Question for you ladies, isit worth using the clear blue OPK digital system? I've found success in the cheap OPK from Femometer and bonus came with 20 HPT strips too... not like I'll use them.... (obv will at the first chance o can hahaha)

kaylsd · 12/02/2021 17:50

@els10

Happy weekend everyone! (Although now I'm furloughed again it all seems to blur into one!) Has anyone got any lovely valentines plans? We are doing a standard M&S two can dine, and a dog walk! After peak week he can sod off with anything saucy though I'm exhausted 😂 3DPO today and testing on the 20th, tell me when you're all testing so we can keep track!x
Happy weekend sweetheart! I'm working all weekend sadly but my hubs prepped various things across the weekend! When I've got back in today I've got a glass of Asti, lidnt chocolates the red ones are my favourites, roast pork dinner with all the homemade trimmings, cheesecake pud & had a bath ran for me, to say this is the first day of the apposed celebrations he's done good! I got him a card from myself & the dog, one from the dog says "at least the dog still loves me, then the dog has a speech marker what says "wanker" hahahaha" we have a jokey relationship, can't do soppy stuff for Valentine's 🙈😂😂😂🥰 what's your plans?
kaylsd · 12/02/2021 17:48
@lucea87 ohhhh what kind of dog do you have? I want a dog almost as much as I want a baby!
I read about drinking a lot, too. I read that but then I also read it's an all or nothing kind of thing and that it can't hurt an blastocyst but it can possibly prevent implantation so I'm just abstaining. I'm also trying to lose a bit of weight so helps with that!

@kaylsd

Yeah I feel a bit deflated but also not too worried but getting ever closer to that age barrier so I just want some reassurance that there's nothing wrong really.

With the MIL just got to remember that heart in the right place. She's a helicopter mum and I'm super independent (left home at 17) so it takes some getting used to.

FINALLY end of the half term! I work at a private school and it has been FULL ON. Just had to do a live HIIT session with the boys... In fancy dress. Now chilling out on my sofa dressed as Poison Ivy 😂😂😂

Hoping all that jumping up and down has got a little egg to stick and start growing!
Fingers crossed nothing is wrong and this year will be your year for your sticky baby 👶 🌈❤️ I wish I could have half term, I'm a nurse and at the moment work is soooooop full on and there's no rest for the wicked, I just keep saying to myself although the roads ahead are rough at the moment things can only get better!

Happy half term though sweetheart, do you have any Valentine's plans with your partner :)?

CeeJay1987 · 12/02/2021 16:34

@Sallyjo27 the waiting around is so hard and I’m so impatient! Good things come to those who wait though, so I have everything crossed for you too when the FW comes 😊

What have you been doing to keep yourself busy? xx

CeeJay1987 · 12/02/2021 16:32

@els10 happy weekend!

We are doing the same, dine in, dog walk and a movie night 😊

I’m 4 DPO in the tww! AF is due on the next Sunday, 21st, so I’m going to hold out until then and see if it actually comes. Testing makes me a bit anxious so I think, if it’s going to come, it will. However, fingers and toes crossed it stays away!! 😊

Good luck for the 20th!! 😊😊 xx

Sallyjo27 · 12/02/2021 16:21

Hi ladies how are you all? I’m on CD8 today usually ovulate around day 21 which feels ages away lol. One part of ttc that I hate is all the waiting 😩 xx
@kaylsd tell me about it, I'm getting a bit sick of cooking now. Haven't actually had a nice meal out in about a year and I miss it so much.
I think it's only another few weeks till things start opening again, I'm sure you're rocking the roots!
So I have a bit of a sore eye this morning, surely this must be a symptom right?! Haha
@BWaiting yep the eye has got to be a symptom, all interlinked in the end right? ;) I know how your feeling about the cooking thing, aren't you fed up of the conversation every day what are we having for tea/dinner? I'd do anything for us to be able to just say bugger it shall we go out for food 😫 seems a distant memory! I was last out for food in November for a meal to celebrate our lockdown wedding at
Miller and Carter! The staff looked so sad and deflated as it was the last day before everything shut down again :(

kaylsd · 12/02/2021 12:37

@CycloGoose I felt a little bit deflated when we reached 6 month, but they say on research it can take between 6-12 month both parties being healthy 🤞🏻❤️

kaylsd · 12/02/2021 12:35
@lucea87

Everything is a symptom for me at the moment haha. I have some little spots on my face, could be a symptom? Oh my. I need to get on with daily life!

Hope AF keeps away and you get your mini miracle this month. What a lovely birthday/valentine's gift that would be!

Trying to stay positive and think no AF means not out!

MIL keeps asking us if we're drinking 'because it's not healthy if you're trying to have a baby'. We have told her nothing. She is just nosey as anything. Proper curtain twitcher. 🙄😂
Absolutely sounds like we've got a similar MIL - mine is that intrusive about the situation she already has stuffed bought ready just because my BIL partner is pregnant so she's buying two of everything.... no pressure like 🙄😳

I read up on drinking, you can basically drink until you get your BFP because until there's proper implantation there's no connection so there wouldn't be any issues....!

Another symptom spot, our dog has been cuddling right up to me the past few days, way more than normal. He's teething so probably just feeling sorry for himself but obviously googling 'how early can dogs sense pregnancy' 😂😂

lucea87 · 12/02/2021 10:09

@CycloGoose thanks for the bday wishes!

I'm the same in terms of people to talk to, literally don't want to speak to anyone else about it as it just adds to the pressure. Cramps and heavy feeling again here today so maybe AF will arrive. Desperately trying not to symptom spot but I feel a bit sick/dizzy today too. I would normally get achy boobs a few days before I'm due on but not had that, did have sore nipples over the weekend though which is what I'm clinging onto as possibly really late ovulation.

CycloGoose · 12/02/2021 09:49

@kaylsd

Yes it's so helpful to have a support network. None of my friends are trying and I don't want to talk to family because they're too close to the outcome and will make me more crazy.

Cycle 6 felt like something of a milestone but I'm not out yet! Still in it until AF!

I don't think I can get hubby to do smep but coverage was definitely better this month.

Fingers crossed for you too 🙂
