Hi ladies anyone want to join me in a thread to chat about ttc this month? I’m currently on CD2.
A bit about me.

I’m 28 and TTC baby number 1. We’ve been trying for a year and a half now, I had 4 recurrent miscarriages in 2020 so hoping the next will stick. I’ve been given new medication to try next time.

adds figs to shopping list

Happy Valentine's Day ladies 😘
Hello to those who I haven't said hello to yet, I hope you're all well and keeping busy in the TWW

@lucea87 I'm sorry about the bfn, I hope it hasn't put too much of a damper on your day, although you're not out till AF shows....

@kaylsd I'm with you on the vivid dreams! I have noticed it both months of TTC in the TWW. They get stranger every night.
Thanks for the recommendations on the paint, I will get myself to Wilkinson's next weekend, may be another few weeks till we get around to the wardrobes.

We went for a walk today in cold wind and rain, and now home all cosied up with a roast cooking in the oven.
Oh we also bought some figs, apparently they're great for him when TTC so that was exciting hahaha. xx

CycloGoose · 14/02/2021 14:32

Happy valentine's day ladies! Sorry to hear bfn @lucea87 early days and we'll get there eventually.

Welcome @Scarletpig1! Good luck on first shot.

The square I scratched off on the adventure challenge book is to make s'mores, build a blanket fort and watch a film! Looking forward to switching off and being silly together.

Cuddled up with one of my borrow my doggy friends after a long chilly walk. Husband is glossing doors 😂 He doesn't do sitting still!

Slinks8113 · 14/02/2021 13:36

Happy Valentine's Day ladies! Hope you're all having a lovely day! We've just been out for a very wet, cold walk so back in the warm and dry now and he's currently making some soup 🥰 x

Dyinghouseplant · 14/02/2021 11:41

Aww sorry about the negative @lucea87.

Happy Valentine's Day ladies. Looking forward to our favourite takeaway and a chilled night later!

lucea87 · 14/02/2021 11:10

Happy Valentine's ladies! I caved, I tested, I thought oh wouldn't it be a nice Valentine's gift....negative. Not even a squinter. Still cramping. Still no AF.

kaylsd · 14/02/2021 09:43

Morning lovely ladies & a happy Valentine's to you all! Hope it's spent with your favourites within your life doing what you love the best! I'm working today but my hub has planned on making a belated breakfast within my break with home made pastries which will be lush when they come out of the oven 🥰❤️

I'm 5 DPO today trying not to symptom spot as it's far too early but just a little giggle for you all, I don't know if anyone's same as me but in my TWW I always seem to have the strangest dreams? Last night was a belter! I was on a plane to turkey (never been to turkey in my life) and my MIL found a cheap hotel for 70 quid but it didn't have a pool in it, so Godzilla came and smashed into the building out of disgust and hid in McDonald's and ordered myself something from the self service whilst I was there cause he already walked past that building.... hahahahah I woke up like what the hell was that all about 😂😂😂😂🙄

Have a great day ladies ❤️
@kaylsd ohh don't, I'm going to end up joining more diy groups on Facebook now! Haha.
I like the sound of your kitchen, I'm planning to do something DIY on my sons fitted wardrobes that were here when we moved in about 15 years ago, we never did anything with the room and now it's looking quite dated.
I got one of the grout pens and it was good, I thought it would run out but lasted quite a while. I love the black grout and white tiles!

@CycloGoose oh my DIY skills are nowhere near as fancy as yours! I have all the ideas and then crack the whip haha.
I know what you mean by rather knowing.
But it's so weird how it's rubbish that AF has arrived but we become so eager and positive to get to FW and give it our all. If it doesn't work for me this month I'm going to give SMEP a go (hopefully I won't wear him out!). Have you tried it?
You've inspired me to consider the black grout pen, try the furniture paint from Wilkinson's if you've got one near you the finish on our kitchen looks lovely we didn't even need to put a varnish coat on it! It could transform the wardrobes lovely :D

Scarletpig1 · 13/02/2021 20:52

Hi,
Can I join in? TTC #2 and just come off the pill. Planning to just start straight away so hopefully won't be a problem with dating if I get lucky first cycle. Already have a two year old little boy

CycloGoose · 13/02/2021 20:36

You do absolutely right @lucea87 just wish had your strength! Especially if it's your first cycle trying, could easily be your body being horrid like mine is!

I've just bought a load of supplements for husband. His turn!

Our house needed a lot of updating. We've been really good at saving and have done so much ourselves but we had builders in doing a few jobs so I got them to check my progress as we went :-)

Next big job is windows! We were so lucky finding a house that was livable but needed work so we shouldn't have to move for a long long time! We have done A LOT. We had a downstairs loo put in... It wasn't as pricey as we thought it might be!

Boring jobs like glossing all the woodwork coming up... Blergh.

I think I'd try get everything second hand. Nearly all our furniture is second hand but I upcycle everything. Reminds me I have some upholstery to finish 🙄

Interior design masters is GREAT except I don't like Alan Carr much!

So sorry about your GP @kaylsd ! I really like my practice - I went out of area but they're very good. The do know I'm a hypochondriac though! Glad all returned to normal.

Not tried SMEP @BWaiting difficult enough getting hubby to do every other day in FW! Hoping that the supplements boost his libido! Maybe some warm weather will get us keener to get out of our clothes!

What are your ideas on wardrobes?

@Slinks8113

Thanks ladies - hoping this month will be a little less stressful with CB :) *@kaylsd* it's my first cycle taking it so will see how I get on. I'm planning to only take it until ovulation is confirmed and then stop. X
Let us all know how you get on with using it hunny be good to hear it from someone on here than reading ghost threads about it :)!
kaylsd · 13/02/2021 19:14

@CycloGoose

That's horrible from your GP *@kaylsd* ! Poor you, that's hard. I had long cycle after pill and they said the same thing but that had a clear reason. I suppose your body was using all its fuel to get you well. Thank goodness you are better now.

Just thinking I had this weird pityriasis rosea rash thing which may have disrupted my cycle. Never straight forward is it!

Hope you have had a good day at work. We went out to walk a dog (on borrow my doggy) and now in a sleeping bag trying to get warm again!!

Talking about DIY, any of you watching the Interior Design Masters? I love it.

My husband is incredibly cautious with money but that's made me much more creative! I designed a sofa, which he built for me over Christmas (I was in charge of salvaging parts of the old sofa for re-use). I'm in love with it. I definitely would have tried the fablon! Glad the paint looks good!

I've not heard of that program before isit worth a watch? I have a guilty pleasure of watching homes under the Hammer & amazing spaces🙈 I bet it's so good to have a handy hubby! I was envious of lockdown one with those people who had someone handy who made wooden bars for there gardens since the pubs were shut! I bet your sofa looks amazing always have more value when things are sentimentally made :') my next project in my house is to save as much money we can with aims to knock out our staircase and build an downstairs toilet! But if a baby comes into the mix I'm sure the savings money will come into hand for baby furniture ;) secretly have looked at furniture ideas on Pinterest I won't lie 🙄😂😂 what's your projects for the year in your house :)?

I was irritated by the GP for not even attempting to have a follow up plan or check my thyroid or any form of investigation but luckily my cycle came back within track but it doesn't give me much hope if I need them in the future, I find the system with terms of primary care like with the GPS frustrated at the moment as they are the only services which have restricted contact (or mine has anyways) but I'll not open my can of worms with that one 😂🙈

kaylsd · 13/02/2021 19:08

@lucea87

I'm gonna test on Monday guys. I'm resisting! I'm so scared of testing too early!! I think (hope!) I actually ovulated last Saturday. We DTD Friday (early hours Saturday am) so hoping that we caught it. But that totally goes against what the CB Sticks say. So FRER should get it on Monday if it has happened....! I've got 2 so can do another one later in the week if still nothing.
Let us know how you get on darling, keep the strength up if you can, it's hard when you wake up in the morning before you go for a wee thinking shall I just sneak a quick test 😂🤔
princesscallie · 13/02/2021 18:45

@lucea87 best of luck on Monday! 🤞

princesscallie · 13/02/2021 18:45

@kaylsd yup my cycle had been fairly regular. Usually around 28/30 days. I couldn't tell you exactly as I wasn't tracking at all and its hard to remember what dates but never before 28 days but never much longer either. No I haven't been using anything else. I don't know why I even started using them to be honest. But I'll buy some cheap ones tomorrow and see how I get on if nothing happens this cycle.

Oh my goodness @twiceLemonDifficult that sounds very, very stressful! My heart goes out to you. I've just been reading about it and sounds more intrusive than the turkey baster I was imagining!

Pressuring boiler is 100% husband's job though bleeding radiators is mine. Funny how it works out! What you thinking of doing? Decoupaging drawer fronts or changing handles can be therapeutic!

CycloGoose · 13/02/2021 17:51

TwiceLemonDifficult · 13/02/2021 17:50

All this DIY talk is very inspiring. Am now thinking there must be some bits of the house that could do with a spruce up. Though I don't think I have the confidence for the full revamp like yours @CycloGoose - the most I've ever done is a bit of painting and pressurising the boiler. But I really need something to focus on that isn't baking or wondering if every twinge in my torso is a symptom! Grin

TwiceLemonDifficult · 13/02/2021 17:45

Thank you @kaylsd! The IUI procedure was okay, a bit uncomfortable but not awful process if all had gone normally. Unfortunately I went into cervical shock from the catheter going through so I went all faint, hot and cold and crazy blood pressure. But all fine after 30mins of monitoring and the nurses were super lovely, held my hand and even made me some hot chocolate.

CycloGoose · 13/02/2021 17:41

Welcome @princesscallie @Slinks8113 and @StartLeo and very sorry to hear of your loss Slinks. I am doing CB for same reason (it also gets in the way of early morning BD!) but I did hear about an armband you can wear that's supposed to be accurate - takes your lowest temp throughout the night. I'm scared of the sound of that cactus stuff.

I'm now CD1 after a frustratingly early AF. It's a really weird one so far and a lot more crampy than normal. So disheartening as I had extra cm which I don't normally have post ovulation.

@lucea87 I would be poas like a mad woman if I were you! Let us know either way, won't you? I envy your test willpower.

@BWaiting yes! Know what you mean about the mood. I managed to do most of our bathroom in lockdown 1 - literally stripped back to a shell, reorganised the plumbing, re-floored, re-plastered, tiled - the works but it was definitely my project. Hubs got on with various other jobs at the same time and was only called in if I couldn't saw through copper pipe. Haha.

Also, been TTC for 6 months which isn't really that long - just felt like a milestone. Double checked and I'm actually just starting cycle 6 because my first cycle after the pill lasted forever. I'm just scared, at 34 I feel time ticking very loudly especially as we'd like at least 2 ideally. I don't know about the tests. I might ask doc what she thinks - I just would rather know if there's something wrong. If there was nothing obvious, I think I could relax into it a bit more just knowing it's possible.

Going to go all in this month again. I'm finally back to a healthy BMI so hoping that might give me the edge! I wish hubby would drink less though. I'm worried about his swimmers!

kaylsd · 13/02/2021 17:34

@lucea87

If i hadn't have flashing smileys from CD20 to CD28 with no static smiley I would be excited and be testing. I did think I had ovulated CD23 as I forgot to do the test that morning & did it later on so was likely a diluted result so it didn't pick up the peak, but even so I should have come on by now as that's 16 days ago. The cramping feels like AF, I'm really surprised I've had no bleed. I'm going to hold out until Monday the do a FRER if no sign of AF.
Have you had an anovulatory cycle before? This happened to me following sickness where my cycle never gained an actual peak just slight LH increases and it turns out my body was gearing up to ovulate just never did, that cycle lasted 77 days, was going out of my mindddd 🙈 however I'm hoping you either get your BFP or your AF! I contacted my gp when I was late with my cycle and they were so dismissive just told me to contact them if I didn't come on within 3 month, how helpful 🙄🙄
kaylsd · 13/02/2021 17:31

@princesscallie

Ladies can I join? We are ttc #3. This is our first month trying after deciding midcycle last month. My cycle is usually very regular at around 28 to 30 days. However January was slightly shorter at 27 days. I'm using clear blue digital ovulation predictor and am now on cycle day 16 and nothing. So not sure what is going on. I am 36 now and have a 7 and 5 year old. Never used anything the last 2 times and it took around 4 months to get pregnant after I came off the pill. However I haven't been on contraception for over 2 years now. So not sure what is going on.
Hey there darling welcome to the group! Have you got alternative OPK testing kits than just the clear blue? Have you had regular cycles within the 2 years of stopping birth control pill? It's annoying how our cycles what we think is our normal than one random month shoves everything you thought you knew out of the window then like eh what was all that about 🧐😂😂😂 good luck with your journey anyway sweet pea hopefully you get your positive soon so then you can baby dance the night away!
