Hi ladies anyone want to join me in a thread to chat about ttc this month? I’m currently on CD2.
A bit about me.

I’m 28 and TTC baby number 1. We’ve been trying for a year and a half now, I had 4 recurrent miscarriages in 2020 so hoping the next will stick. I’ve been given new medication to try next time.

Getting headaches today which is a cue for me that af is on its way in a day or or so . so defo going for smep method in new cycle.

@Iloveoreos it’s the sperm meets egg method. “ SMEP, the “Sperm Meets Egg Plan” is a TTC (trying to conceive) plan that helps you get pregnant faster with ovulation awareness and intercourse timing. Even if you time intercourse perfectly, you’ve only got a 25% chance to get pregnant each cycle. The SMEP method ensures you get that 1 in 4 shot by literally making sure the sperm and egg have every opportunity to meet each and every cycle.

In order to ensure sperm and egg meet, you will “try” every other day starting on the eighth day of your cycle. The timing of this is based on how long sperm live, realistically a few days under ideal conditions. On the tenth day of your cycle you will begin daily testing with OPKs (ovulation prediction kits) and upon receiving a positive OPK you will “try” 3 more days in a row. Skip one day and give it one more try.

Then the waiting begins… if your period has not arrived 15 days after your positive OPK, take a home pregnancy test. It may be tempting to test early, as some home pregnancy tests now can detect a positive as early as 8 days past ovulation.”

@Genevive123 it could be that your body tries to ovulate on the 14th but for some reason didn’t so your body is trying again do you take your BBT?

Hi ladies, got my peak yesterday 🎉 lots of BD the past few days. Also it’s the earliest I’ve ever ovulated. I’m positive it’s because of the acupuncture on Monday, I’ve got another session tomorrow. How are you all? Sorry to those who have had BFNs ♥️ Xxx

12dpo today and another bfn. Have felt like AF has been coming for days. More today than the others but still no sign at all. 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️ I won’t test now until Monday or Tuesday

I'm currently on cycle day 16 of my 27 day cycle - I had my LH Peak on the 16th of Feb...

But today I've had a dark line again? Whats going on?

That's great news @SparkDiSparkle congrats! Also 34 here and had my daughter at 22 so I've convinced myself I'm old now and she agrees 😂

5dpo today. I've decided I'm going to test next Friday at 11DPO and if that's bfn then not test again until AF is late. I was super emotional last night over nothing (had a cry which I never do) and woke up with a cold sore 😭 so must be run down. Haven't had one in a long time. I hope the next week flies past!

I'm 34, too been trying since end of August but still hopeful! You give me extra hope. Fingers crossed for you and us all xxx

Thank you all for the congrats, we are so so happy but there are a lot of people around me with mc and chemicals.. I can’t make myself believe this is real until I don’t see it on an ultrasound. It’s crazy how I was so worried about conceiving before and now that it happened I just have to be worried about an other stuff..

@CycloGoose I am only dpo12 today, AF was due for Monday/Tuesday. I got a definite line on both frers and ‘regular’ sticks on dpo10 so got my hopes up it’s gonna stick, but you never know (jeez I am so positive)

We have been trying since December, I got my copper coil out then. First I was so naive, we just had unprotected dtd and waited for a miracle. Then the googling started and with that a more systematic approach 😂 I am 34 and don’t have any kids yet, so I got super worried super fast it was never going to happen.

@CycloGoose so am I to be honest but I saw it on a post and it was only £6 so figured what's the harm - she actually has lots of good reviews as to accuracy so who knows. It was a lady on Facebook called Jade Roberts. X

@SparkDiSparkle Congratulations on your BFP! How many days are you now? So excited for you! That's lovely news. Had you been trying long? I know what you mean about the utis - I always like to go to the loo straight after.

@Slinks8113 Where did you have your tarot done? I'm very skeptical about things like that but it's exciting for you and I hope it helps in any case. April would be a lovely time to conceive - not too heavily pregnant during the sweaty summer.

I'll take anything right about now.

DH has got himself a bit confused about the smiley faces I think. We've DTD 2 days in a row. This is unsustainable 🤣 I'm normally lucky if we make it once a week (pre TTC). Either the supplements are working or he's going to burn out by crunch time! I'm a little sore to be honest hope not tmi! At least the fertility lube might get some use!

In other irrational news 🙈😂 I requested a fertility tarot reading yesterday and she came back with conception month as April, baby girl and the signs would be pigs 🐷 don't usually follow stuff like that but was intrigued to give it a go. Weirdly it's actually made me less stressed for this month about temping and ovulation tests 😂 can't be a bad thing I guess x x

I used First Response 45 Seconds test... the line is darker now and definitely there! Eeekk!!

I’m on proper cycle #2 (we did December but it think I got it all wrong lol). This month I used SMEP method, conceiveplus, I also tried Ferti-Lily and took the supplements Proceive Advance. Seems an awful lot when it write it all down! Haha

I have been stalking this thread for a while now, had my fingers crossed for all of you.

Stepping out of the shadows to tell that SMEP+ConceivePlus+FertiLily+all the supplements (I took Royal Gele and Q10) do sound insanely much, but this combination did work for us as well! I got my BFP this month too :))

I think for us it might have been the FertiLily, I couldn’t afford lying around after dtd before bc of my chronic UTIs and this solved the problem. But you never know, might have been sheer luck as well.

Morning ladies!! I hope you all had a lovely Friday evening. So this is why I don’t buy tests or try and stay off google... I googled last night that FR can give a false positive in the test I did. So after a blind panic, I took myself of to the shop this morning to get to CB (I told you I can be irrational with tests and google haha) and it’s a BFP!!! 😬😬😬 I’m super happy and so thankful to you ladies for helping me this tww! Baby dust to you ALL!!!!! Have a lovely weekend! xx
