Hi ladies anyone want to join me in a thread to chat about ttc this month? I’m currently on CD2.
A bit about me.

I’m 28 and TTC baby number 1. We’ve been trying for a year and a half now, I had 4 recurrent miscarriages in 2020 so hoping the next will stick. I’ve been given new medication to try next time.

@lucea87 hahaha 🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰 is it any good? Not sure my cup of tea xxx

Hey @kaylsd I've looked into everything really but I'm a bit nervy of that Agnus Castus stuff - like you said, mixed reviews and I don't really know what I'm dealing with - very likely it could just be taking a long time to readjust to hormones off the pill.

Re your hubs and brother in law, just think of it as them blowing off steam and try to put yourselves at the forefront. Remember all the lovely things you have been planning for this weekend and take time to enjoy them.

At the end of the day we can all be a little self indulgent and think we're the only ones with worries/stress/problems but there's that old saying about if everyone offloaded their baggage and put it in a pile, we'd all be scrabbling to get our own back. We never know what others are dealing with and, though your brother in law has been insensitive to what is happening, he is most likely doing it out of a lack of thought or understanding rather than anything malicious. I'm sure they're having their troubles and he's just not in a place to think of anyone elses.

That's why it's so lovely to have found this thread - we're all going through different journeys at different paces but I really feel like everyone has been here for us.

So much love to you hun. I completely feel for you. DH younger brother and his wife are 8 months with their third. It's depressing but lovely for them. Here for you XXX

Hello @minthumbugs welcome to the fold and I'm so sorry to hear of your loss earlier this year. Wishing you lots of luck this cycle. Can't imagine trying to do all this with a small child in tow 🤦

lucea87 · 26/02/2021 22:21

Sorry I've been MIA. BUT we have been watching Wanda vision....Agatha Harkness...she has a rabbit.....

minthumbugs · 26/02/2021 21:28

Hi ladies, hope you're all good!

Hope it's alright to join in and share the journey with you all - I'm reading through all the posts on this forum because the need to hear other people's experience is addictive lol, isn't it?!

This is my first cycle trying after a MC in Jan. Have had an ectopic previously too and have one LO so this will be baby no. 2 for us.

Hopefully hear lots of great news on this thread until it's my turn. X

@CycloGoose

Sorry *@laura2093* I have no clue. I'm on another thread TTC first baby 26 and there's a lot of ladies on there with A LOT of knowledge who might be really helpful 🙂
Correction to that last bit, his brothers wife 😂 his brother is not 8 month, jesus I'll be selling that story to newspapers if so! Haha
kaylsd · 26/02/2021 21:04
@kaylsd I'm only day 14 but my cycle was only 23 days last time so I had to start testing earlier. Sounds like you have a proper luteal phase which is what I'm obsessed with - mine was only 9 days last month which has freaked me out. I got my pos opk day 13 last month. I just think my cycles have gone mad!

Oooh and I went on a walk with hubs and I saw a mahoosive bumble bee... I think!
Have you considered anything to lengthen your LP? I've heard that Angus cactus is meant to be good for things for that but also can lengthen your cycle so I've heard like mixed reviews

I'm a little bit upset tonight.. unsure if it's hormonal from AF but just over heard a conversation between hub & his brother on the phone (they've both had a bevvy or two shall I say before) and ended up with a real bitter conversation of you'll know when she's pregnant you've got it all to come is she even pregnant yet as his brothers currently 8 month pregnant and they know we are TTC as we've said we would start after being married... just abit raw sometimes how people can be so blunt as some have it easier than others 😫

kaylsd · 26/02/2021 20:55

@laura2093

So he got his results... sperm morphology of 3. Low? Anyone got any advice/ experience with this? Doctor gave no suggestions just to test in 3 months!?

Can we still have babies!?

I'm unsure also of what this may mean, does your OH take any zinc supplements? I'm sure I've read on here before something called procieve for men which is meant to be really good but can be pricey? Maybe it might be worth looking into things like this? Sending hugs! X

@CycloGoose

Haha! *@Slinks8113* If I wasn't pushing it, we would barely DTD at all! Had a chat with DH at lunch time and he's quite on board with the regime of every other day (though he seemed to think we'd been DTD every day 🤦) He knows what we are like and we need some pressure not to just keep putting it off. I'm really worried about my progesterone levels as well and it says it can track that.

@kaylsd doing okay but not had a positive opk yet. Just the flashing smiley smirking its smug face at me every day. I was thinking of doing the SMEP thing but I don't think we'll manage every day. I think just every other day is plenty for us.

Which day are you in your cycle? I have long cycles like 34/35 days and normally get my pos OPK between 18-20 since coming off contraception xx
CycloGoose · 26/02/2021 16:08

Oooh and yey success!

@CycloGoose oh and gave it another go in the evening and success 😂😂

Slinks8113 · 26/02/2021 15:53
@Slinks8113 so you wouldn't rate it?

Not much romance here anyway... DH really seems only to be into morning BD at the moment so I'm thinking I could take it out as soon as I wake up - easier than trying to take my BBT if he's making a move...

Did you find it worked for you? Did you end up doing OPKs anyway?

Did you manage to get around the issue of the pressure? Nudge nudge, 😉😉
It was super accurate and easy to use. Less sensitive to having a restless night or times of temperature taking so that was less stressful. It was a year or so ago now but my partner found it really off putting so we took a more relaxed approach. Wasn't using anything when I fell pregnant last year but wanted to start using something this time as wanted a bit of reassurance after MC that things were heading in the right direction/back to normal.
It's so right what they say that the minute you take your mind off it, you fall pregnant haha. So bloody annoying!! X

kaylsd · 26/02/2021 15:39

@CycloGoose

Oh *@kaylsd* I love it!! Thanks for sharing ☺️ I love that it's so full on. I refuse to even think about the birth. The baby dancing is exhausting enough as it is!

Love it that it's like a bet you put on the sport. Suppose it is! Definitely a bit of fun and not to get to obsessed with but fun to see which bits match up 🙂

I'm exact same chick can't be thinking too far ahead of the game! How are you getting along with this cycle :)? Have you done anything differently? Just taking a relaxing approach this month as last month was too intense for us and it felt slight regimented with the SMEP so hoping more when the mood fits response with a little sprinkle of encouragement on pos OPK day ;) xx
kaylsd · 26/02/2021 15:37
@kaylsd ahh that's a massive one who did that? I'm waiting for another one which I submitted back in January apparently she's behind :(

got my FRER on the way ready for tomorrow morning - I'm not holding out for this month though as she did say conception Feb/March counts from the first day of your cycle and I have two in March!! So could be any of them 😁 x
Fingers and toes crossed! It was a lady off Etsy her reviews seem to be so accurate so I thought I'd give her a go! Here's the link :)

Slinks8113 · 26/02/2021 14:52

@CycloGoose I tried OvuSense once and it does tend to get in the way of romance as you have to put it in before bed so spontaneity goes out the window haha.
I had terrible cramps last night after getting my peak and I couldn't sleep at all. No significant temp raise this morning so don't think I've ovulated just yet! X

CycloGoose · 26/02/2021 14:35

Ohhhhh I forgot about your numbers. Everything crossed for you!

I just have the free trial at the moment 😉

Genevive123 · 26/02/2021 14:25

@CycloGoose she said Feb/March but at least I know if not this month hopefully next :)

My significant numbers are 3/12/27

Hence why I'm testing tomorrow ;)

Ah ok!! i don't pay for the pro version I just take pics of my ovulation strips ! X

CycloGoose · 26/02/2021 14:22

@Genevive123 all sounds very exciting! If she's right, maybe you aren't supposed to test until Monday - then you'd be finding out in March!

I use the normal Femometer strips and the app but the IVY links up to the app and records the percentages. I'm also looking at the OvuSense but it's eyewateringly expensive. Though Femometer is 18 quid a month for the pro app.

Genevive123 · 26/02/2021 13:27

@CycloGoose I recommend fermometer btw I use their strips for ovulation and they're fab the app is great too x

Genevive123 · 26/02/2021 13:11

@CycloGoose that's true !! 4 days until AF due now, testing tomorrow ! This is the first time I haven't got Period pains ? I usually get them for about a week before so this is very odd !!

CycloGoose · 26/02/2021 11:51

Good luck!! I'm looking at the Femometer Ivy next cycle maybe. I'm finding the purple clear blue ones a bit stressful. Not sure they work for however my cycle works. Last month I went straight to peak after 2 days and this time I've had 8 days of flashing. 🤦
