Hi 👋

Just hoping to find someone in the same boat as me, MC in December and currently on the dreaded TWW.

4dpo and just feeling deflated actually!

Anyway tell me some positive BFP stories after MC ❤️

@HT1507 thank you that's good to know. I know approximately (within a day or so) when I ovulated but when i had the MC the pregnancy was showing as 2 weeks behind and they dismissed me when I said it wasn't possible due to OPK (and also BFP but they wasn't interested in that either) so I had a 2 week wait before they would even talk about the possibility of a MC.

Sorry OP, I'm just ranting now.

@surfingwolf I had a period about 6 weeks after the miscarriage and conceived again on that cycle. If you fall pregnant between the miscarriage and your next period, it would make the pregnancy harder to date, unless you know when you ovulated, but I’m sure I read that it would initially be dated based on when you miscarried.

Hi, I had a MC in December. I did OPK and now in TWW but I haven't had a period since before the MC so I'm doubtful this month is our month.

Did you have a period if you don't mind me asking? It's just, with my previous pregnancies I got pregnant with a positive OPK straight away and I'm now wondering, if I am lucky enough to get pregnant again, when the midwives ask when my last period was do I count the MC as a period otherwise I'll have to put down August and they will wonder why I'm only telling them now. Probably nothing for me to worry about but it's strange the things that come to mind when TTC.

Sorry for no positive stories and the thread hijacking but I hope you get a BPF in the next week or so!

FYI with regards to the low dose Aspirin ..

I decided after the miscarriage to start taking it as I’d read that it improves blood flow to the uterus and can aid fertility .. since then I’ve seen forum posts from women saying they were advised to take it when they get a BFP. I’ve seen somewhere that it can affect implantation which contradicts other sources that say it can be taken whilst TTC. In general though, it seems to be recommended to women who have had previous miscarriages.

I had a consultation with my specialist yesterday and told him I’d conceived, and he did suggest low dose Aspirin due to the previous loss .. so it’s something I would have started to take anyway if I hadn’t looked into it beforehand.

Wishing everyone luck getting your BFPs! Smile

@Emmav2020 thank you Smile

I’m taking Inofolic (I have PCOS), vitamin B complex, vitamin C & D, iron. I also made the decision to take low dose Aspirin (75mg) because of the pregnancy loss.

I would recommend doing your own research into low dose Aspirin because it seems that some doctors recommend it and some don’t, and there’s contradictory information online regarding when to start taking it.

Hi all. I had surgical management of mmc on 7th December. I've had one period since and am now cd13 which is my ovulation day. I actually have a follow up appt at the epu on 18th Feb so I'm going to hold off testing until I go.

Sorry for your loss @ForGoodnessCake Flowers

I’ve recently had a bfp after an Xmas miscarriage. Early days but I’ve had bloods to see if hcg is rising (and just to make sure it’s not positive still from before) and they’ve booked me in for an early scan, again just to make sure it is 100% a new and viable pregnancy.

@ForGoodnessCake heyy sorry for your loss, im in the same boat. Told 27th dec no heartbeat, started bleeding 9th jan for 2 days. Had scan 12th and everything out and looked back to normal. Been doing the deed since the 15th jan. I had no idea when i was due to ovulate or have a period.
I hope you get a bfp soon.

@HT1507 aww congrats. Did you take anyother supplements? X

@ForGoodnessCake sorry for your loss 😔

I had a miscarriage in November at 7 weeks, and I’m pregnant again now. It’s very early days and I’m nervous, but have an early scan booked to hopefully confirm things are ok. Hopefully this pregnancy is successful!

I’m on Clomid, but I’ve read that fertility is higher after miscarriage too .. hope you get your BFP! 🙂
