Hi, does anyone want to come and keep me company? Currently ttc#3 and I don’t know how many dpo I am as my cycles have been a bit unpredictable for the last year but I’d say between 8 and 12 dpo at a guess. I had a chemical in September and a miscarriage at about 6 weeks in early November. This month has been the first month we started trying again and I wasn’t going to test early but after feeling knackered and iffy all weekend I did an impulsive test last night before bed and got the faintest squinter ever. This morning I tested again and got a faint but definitely there positive that my phone camera managed to pick up 😬.

I don’t even want to tell DP yet as the last 2 BFPs didn’t stick. I don’t know what do do with myself today in between homeschooling and the kids have picked today to be really motivated and not needing much help from me.

Definitely darker @LAgeDeRaisin! 🤩 I do think 2 day wait makes the biggest difference. Posting my 8, 10, 12 DPO attached for your opinions. 12 is SMU, 10 is FMU. What do we think?

Thank you @LAgeDeRaisin 🙏🏼 I wish I could just click my fingers and be 6 weeks - just getting to that mark would reassure me so much. Xxx

LAgeDeRaisin · 06/02/2021 08:25

I'm now 9dpo (7 days before missed period)
Tested again with FMU and think it looks a bit darker than yesterday (bottom one is from today)

@daisyorange2 no wonder you are stressed and worried about it with your previous losses, but there's no reason this one won't be a happy, healthy pregnancy. Symptoms in early pregnancy often fluctuate a lot and aren't a reliable measure of how your pregnancy is going- you have a great positive result, and I'm sure your wee bundle is happily growing a tiny placenta as we speak. X

LAgeDeRaisin · 06/02/2021 08:17

@Leonberger that's a super dark line! Congrats! Also nothing wrong with being the crazy Tesco test lady- by the looks of this thread there will be lots of them, myself included!

daisyorange2 · 06/02/2021 07:37

Morning ladies - had such a freak out this morning, when I woke I felt like my boobs weren’t as painful as normal so I grabbed my thermometer and took my BBT (still high) and then peed on yet another stick!!! It was actually second wee as I’d woken a couple hours before. The line wasn’t darker than yesterday’s FMU, but it was still dark.

DH said I need to stop panicking and testing daily, if things aren’t meant to be then we will know and obsessing over darkening of lines won’t help. It’s just so hard after 2 early losses. Ofc as soon as I woke properly my boobs started hurting again!

I guess I’m just looking for reassurance/opinions. I’ve now done 5 days of testing with latest lines being dark. Last month over 4 days of testing the line went from barely there to gone completely.

Do we think I’m ok to stop? How do I keep calm over the next couple of weeks!

Lisyloo725 · 06/02/2021 07:05

Aaaha @Leonberger - this is how I see it - when baby is small and constantly feeding you’re either home or in cafes eating cake (winter). You can wear big jumpers and hibernate as wished. 😑
When starting to crawl summer’s here so you can be On blankets in parks with friends, with you nCT group on a Friday, with a bottle of Prosecco under your buggy. And hooooppppefully they’ll be walking by their next winter just after their first birthday so not crawling round in the mud!
Sound good? 😆

Leonberger · 06/02/2021 05:38

Congratulations @hoplop GrinGrinGrin

I tested again this morning. These tests are 4 days apart. Think I need to step away from the testing now before I am known as the crazy pregnancy test lady in Tesco Grin

I didn’t think about it being a winter baby! My last baby was a lovely spring one and I sat outside all summer on maternity! Not this time!

I didn’t fancy studying line progression and getting worked up! Went for the digi instead. I will feel more relaxed about this in approximately 8 months...

22nd Oct but also likely a c section as I had a horrendous long labour followed by an emergency section last time

Lisyloo725 · 05/02/2021 20:21

@daisyorange2 I’m due 16th Oct using the nhs due date calculator, but I’m 40 so I’m pretty sure they’ll not let me go to 40 weeks, in addition I’m gonna be a planned CS after two shockers of births.
It’s also super funny as my DD and DS birthdays are around that date too - only 11 days apart!! Hahah - shared parties all the way!!! 🤪
@Hoplop - go for it! Fingers and toes crossed for you!! X x

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 05/02/2021 19:54

@daisyorange2 somewhere between 14th and 18th October technically but both of my children were overdue, my first by 9 days and my 2nd by 12 days so I reckon I stand a good chance of a Halloween baby if we get that far.

Hi @LAgeDeRaisin congratulations. @Hoplop how very frustrating for you. If I was you I would rip the plaster off and get another stick peed on in the morning to put my mind at rest but not knowing is worse torture for me than anything.

Congratulations! Xxx

LAgeDeRaisin · 05/02/2021 17:50

You too! And congratulations to everyone with BFPs here- hope they're all sticky ones!

daisyorange2 · 05/02/2021 17:13

@LAgeDeRaisin I keep doing the exact same thing on all of mine 🤣 So happy for you x

LAgeDeRaisin · 05/02/2021 17:09

@daisyorange2 thank you!!!! Can't believe it- keep checking the test!

daisyorange2 · 05/02/2021 16:51

Hi @LAgeDeRaisin so glad to see you over here!!! Nope that’s not imaginary! Congratulations!!! I had exact same kind of line evening of 8 DPO, next day I got a 1-2 weeks on a digi. Massive congrats xxxx

LAgeDeRaisin · 05/02/2021 15:50

8DPO and just got a squinty line. Keep returning to it to check it's actually there

Somebody tell me I'm not imagining this

Hoplop · 05/02/2021 12:37

@Secretsquirrelisfedup not really any symptoms aside from peeing a lot, but wfh means I am drinking more tea than I normally would in work! So I don’t know if that’s a symptom or not ha ha
