Hi, does anyone want to come and keep me company? Currently ttc#3 and I don’t know how many dpo I am as my cycles have been a bit unpredictable for the last year but I’d say between 8 and 12 dpo at a guess. I had a chemical in September and a miscarriage at about 6 weeks in early November. This month has been the first month we started trying again and I wasn’t going to test early but after feeling knackered and iffy all weekend I did an impulsive test last night before bed and got the faintest squinter ever. This morning I tested again and got a faint but definitely there positive that my phone camera managed to pick up 😬.

I don’t even want to tell DP yet as the last 2 BFPs didn’t stick. I don’t know what do do with myself today in between homeschooling and the kids have picked today to be really motivated and not needing much help from me.

One baby with a strong little heartbeat in the right place measuring 7+6 😁. I can’t stop smiling.

So weird!! I’m gonna call today as I’ve just checked my diary and booking is at 11 weeks!!
Maybe there’s a baby boom on!

Hoplop · 02/03/2021 06:38

@Lisyloo725 I think mine is similar to yours and 10+ weeks. They won’t contact me to arrange it until 8.5-9 weeks and then the appointment itself is at least a week after.

With DS, I didn’t refer myself to midwives until gone 10 weeks... surprise baby and had what I thought were periods throughout the first trimester!

Lisyloo725 · 01/03/2021 20:55

Thanks so much @Secretsquirrelisfedup
I’m sure I’ll settle down when I get to 12wks (hopefully)!
Thanks for all your support!

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 01/03/2021 20:36

@Lisyloo725 over 10 weeks for the booking appointment is definitely quite late, I thought there was tests that needed to be done prior to 10 weeks but I’m not sure whether that’s actually the case. 13.5 weeks is fine for the scan though as long as your dates are accurate as it should be done between 12 and 14 weeks I think. I would maybe ask about the date of your booking appointment when you go to the EPU. I hope all is well for you xx

Thanks ladies, I’m pathetic today. I need to give my head a wobble. I will be so happy if it all goes well though, it will be such a weight off.

@Leonberger you should probably take it easy but I know that’s easier said than done when you don’t know how long you are going to feel rough for and you have a physically tough job. It will all be worth it though and it’s definitely starting to feel more real.

@daisyorange2 it’s so confusing with different areas having completely different ways of dealing with appointments during covid and even then they change their minds. I’m baffled at conducting half of the appointment over the phone when they want to see me on the same day anyway for bloods and height/weight etc though.

@Hoplop I feel your pain on the exhaustion front, it’s relentless isn’t it...well apart from in the middle of the night when I actually want to be asleep.

I will definitely let you all know how it goes tomorrow 😬.

Sozzles for all the typos! I hope you got most !

Lisyloo725 · 01/03/2021 19:59

All good wished for your scan tomorrow @Secretsquirrelisfedup !
Boooing appointment timings for me is a bit odd - with my two losses they were at 6/7 weeks!!! This ones at over ten!! Not sure that can be right can it?!
Feel a bit adrift til then. Maybe it’s cos it’s my third I’m supposed to know what to do!!
My 12 week scan is at thirteen-and-a-half weeks which also concerns me!
What am I talking about - everything concerns me!

I rang the EPU today about the small bit of bleeding I had at the weekend and they are spotting me in tomorrow. The bleeding seems to have subsided but I can’t rest until I’ve seen all is ok.
Sending luck and loveliness for all scans tomorrow!!

Hoplop · 01/03/2021 19:27

Good luck tomorrow @Secretsquirrelisfedup

I’ve avoided sickness so far and just had some light nausea. The thing getting to me though is tiredness! I honestly can’t stay awake late enough to put DS to bed most nights and had to shower at lunch time today to try and wake me up a bit!

daisyorange2 · 01/03/2021 18:52

Good luck with your scan @Secretsquirrelisfedup let us know how it goes. My booking appt is actually at the hospital even though they originally said it would be over the phone.. confused!

Leonberger · 01/03/2021 18:04

Hi @Secretsquirrelisfedup! Good luck for your scan tomorrow, I’m sure it will be fine!

I’m feeling a bit rough today, I’m thinking of taking some time off work as I’m struggling to motivate myself to do anything!

It’s starting to feel a bit more real isn’t it Grin

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 01/03/2021 15:02

How are you all doing? I’ve got my early scan tomorrow and I was trying to distract myself from thinking about until then which was going well till the midwife rang about my appointment next Monday to explain how they are doing the booking appointments. It seems a bit weird to me as apparently it’s half by phone then the second half at the surgery on the same day.

Thankyou all of you Grin
I feel a bit calmer knowing it’s okay so far as it’s not imaginary.
Only 6 weeks or so until the next one Grin

Hoplop · 27/02/2021 16:23

Great update @Leonberger Smile

Lisyloo725 · 27/02/2021 16:22

Thank you ladies!! Still feel like crap, so here’s hoping!
@Leonberger this is such good news!!!!! Really pleased for you - such a reassurance seeing the heartbeat! ♥️

daisyorange2 · 27/02/2021 16:00

So pleased for you @Leonberger!! I think fluctuation in symptoms is so normal! I’ve felt everything on and off. Today the sickness is very much on. X

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 27/02/2021 15:05

@Leonberger that’s excellent news 😁

Leonberger · 27/02/2021 15:01

Thanks everyone for the well wishes.

Scan went fine. Measuring 7 weeks with a strong heartbeat, I thought I was 7+3 so the dates match. All in the right place etc. Not sure what the lack of symptoms is about but the sonographer seemed to think all was as it should be!

@Lisyloo725 I hope it’s nothing to worry about!

Hoplop · 27/02/2021 12:04

Hope all is well @Lisyloo725 and it’s just old 🤞🏼 I’m still lightly spotting and it is a worry.

Good luck today @Leonberger

Such a lovely sunny day!

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 27/02/2021 11:55

Sorry you’re dealing with that worry @Lisyloo725. I hope it’s normal harmless spotting and nothing to worry about. X

Lisyloo725 · 27/02/2021 11:01

I had a bit of old blood when I wiped this morning - am quite shocked and obvs thinking the worst - questioning reduction in my symptoms- it didn’t used to be this hard!!! Ugh.
I’ll watch carefully and see how I go. If more then I’ll call the EPU on Monday first thing 🙁

Lisyloo725 · 27/02/2021 11:00

Hope all goes well @Leonberger

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 27/02/2021 09:25

*well done

Lisyloo725 · 26/02/2021 13:27

@Leonberger well don’t for calling.
Of the two hospitals near me, one is like that but another is ‘walk in’.
You’re so near to Sunday now though - you’ll be grand! X x x
