Early BFPs

Hi, does anyone want to come and keep me company? Currently ttc#3 and I don’t know how many dpo I am as my cycles have been a bit unpredictable for the last year but I’d say between 8 and 12 dpo at a guess. I had a chemical in September and a miscarriage at about 6 weeks in early November. This month has been the first month we started trying again and I wasn’t going to test early but after feeling knackered and iffy all weekend I did an impulsive test last night before bed and got the faintest squinter ever. This morning I tested again and got a faint but definitely there positive that my phone camera managed to pick up 😬.

I don’t even want to tell DP yet as the last 2 BFPs didn’t stick. I don’t know what do do with myself today in between homeschooling and the kids have picked today to be really motivated and not needing much help from me.

@daisyorange2 I’m not surprised you’re angry. The lack of accurate communication is rubbish and shows that they just don’t consider the details important or take into consideration that people build themselves up to these appointments and book time off work or arrange childcare etc so that they can attend. I hope they ring you soon x

@Secretsquirrelisfedup @Hoplop my GP want nothing to do with it! Everything is self referral and then appts on the phone/at the hospital each time. I went this morning only to be sent home and told it was actually a phone appt, not in person like my letter says - still waiting for a call back. I’m so angry!

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 04/03/2021 12:19

@Hoplop it’s crazy how different it is from area to area. When I had DS I was with a different GP near where I worked (same town but other side) and the midwife was based out of a community/ health centre in the middle of a ridiculous to navigate rat run of an estate a few miles away but I think the GP still arranged the first appointment as soon as I rang them. Then all further ones were arranged at the appointment before so I always knew where I was with everything.

I would be ringing to chase it up now but I’m impatient and I hate not knowing what to expect.

@Secretsquirrelisfedup I’m honestly not too sure! I had DS abroad so midwife booking was slightly different.

I rang the GP surgery last week and they gave me a central number for midwifery team at the nearest hospital. A HCA took my details and then said someone will be in touch to arrange a booking appointment. So I figure it’s just wait to hear in the next couple of weeks 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’ll ring if I haven’t heard by 10 weeks I think.

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 04/03/2021 11:53

Glad it went ok @Hoplop. How are midwives appointments arranged in your area? I arranged mine through my GP and she is based in the GP surgery.

All was still ok thankfully. Haematoma is quite large so they recommended I still speak to EPU if I’m worried and the bleeding/spotting will almost definitely continue for a while.

I haven’t heard about a booking appointment yet but I’m guessing it might be in the next week or two now I’m 8 weeks.

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 04/03/2021 09:03

Morning everyone.

Good luck today @Hoplop.

Lisyloo725 · 03/03/2021 19:59

Sure all will be well @Hoplop - I think you have a haemotoma too...they said to me it’ll keep bleeding - but hopefully the same amount. I’d the amount changes that’s when they want me in.
Hoping yours is just that! 🤞🏼

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 03/03/2021 11:17

Thanks @Hoplop. It will be worth it to give you peace of mind. I really hope it goes well for you. X

Loved your update @Secretsquirrelisfedup

Been so busy with work the past few days, it’s helped time move a little faster!

I caved and booked a private scan for tomorrow. I’ve been spotting continuously since the last one and I don’t want to keep going back to EPU for reassurance if it hasn’t really changed since I saw them last.

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 03/03/2021 08:06

Sorry that it’s not a BFP this morning @SusanaDayana. X

Seems like a negative for me this time :(
I’m not giving up though. I’m going to test again on Friday maybe Saturday. I’ve had negatives early on on my last pregnancy so it maybe just my body.

@SusanaDayana I’ve been there with the crazy bin checking too. Testing with fresh wee in the morning sounds like a great idea. Good luck getting the bathroom to yourself for long enough 😁.

@Secretsquirrelisfedup and @1992EM and @Lisyloo725 thank you! I am not getting my hopes up, yet. What I can tell you is that I have done many, many tests in the last two cycles and all my negatives stayed negative... I was that crazy person taking them back out of the bin hours later Grin just triple checking.

I do think that the pee was all odd and def cold. What I read online is that the hCg levels do go down every day, but also saw some labs don't test pee any older than 2 hours...

I will update tomorrow. Try to not rush this time, I'll need to wake up before the two little ones I have do.

1992EM · 02/03/2021 20:18

This is what my BFP looked like at 10 dpo. I am now nearly 6 weeks. Congratulations 💕

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 02/03/2021 20:16

@Lisyloo725 that’s brilliant news.

@SusanaDayana and @lineyehelp I definitely wouldn’t put money on either of those tests being negative but I wouldn’t like to say that they are definitely positive either. I agree with everyone else that you should test again in a couple of days. Wishing you loads of good luck 🤞

Evening ladies! I had another scan today as had been bleeding a bit since Sat.
Thank god I have a haematoma- and nothing more sinister! Baby is growing well and still happily there with heart beating nicely! I’m beyond relieved.
Secretly pleased that I shouldn’t be running really!! I have an excuse to be lazy!! 😆
Now I just need to relaaaaaax.
My sickness is here one day and gone the next! So weird. Make hay while the sun shines (eat when you can!) I guess! Take care everyone!

Lisyloo725 · 02/03/2021 19:45

Hey @SusanaDayana welcome!
This could be due to the temperature of the wee. It will have cooled. I did the same for my first test.
It will take longer to show and will show fainter (speed of chemical reactions is slowed by lower temps remember that from school!!) 😄
Test again with fresh warm wee tomorrow or the day after as PP said - good luck!

Leonberger · 02/03/2021 17:34

@daisyorange2 my nausea is allover the place at the moment! Today I’ve managed to eat a fair bit and haven’t been particularly bad however yesterday was hell! Not sure why one day would be worse than another.
Its worse when I’m starving, like a constant hungry/nausea feeling in the back of my throat?

@lineyehelp and @SusanaDayana I would also retest in a few days. My first line was very faint but by a few days later it was much darker.

daisyorange2 · 02/03/2021 17:28

@SusanaDayanaI and @lineyehelp would wait 2 more days and test again. I know it can be hard to do, but its the best way to see a more accurate result.

Anyone else find their nausea is coming on mainly when their stomach is empty/they haven't eaten in a while? I am typically not a huge eater, I have big portions but probably only 2 meals a day and I never really snack. I've found that if I skip a meal or don't have a snack I start to feel so nauseous/I am sick. It's like I have to constantly have a stream of food to feel ok! Finding it difficult as it's such an unnatural eating pattern for me!

lineyehelp · 02/03/2021 17:06

Sorry to jump on this thread! Name changed....

I stupidly bought tests that aren't very sensitive! I took this earlier, 2 days before AF is due... it's negative isn't it?

SusanaDayana · 02/03/2021 17:01

I bought on Amazon the very early detection tests of 10mIU. I knew the package was arriving today so I took my morning pee at 8:10am in a clean jar with lid and stored it in the bathroom. I finally got the tests at 12:05pm and did the test but I rushed because I was in the middle of a zoom meeting so I waited maybe 2-3 minutes to see results. It showed a negative but 2 hours later I see a faint positive.

I know this can most likely be a evap line. I’m about 4 days before AF so I’m testing very early but I’ve had faint constant nausea or uneasy stomach for the last two days. I will retest tomorrow morning (got 4 left) if this is negative then I’ll wait until Friday to retest.

What do you think?
