@sunshineandshowers3 50 Million something per ML sounds decent as they say anything over 15 Million per ML is okay. So doesn’t sound like anything to worry about.

How are you feeling this month?

I’m on day 2 of period atm but I’m alright with it as been on holiday this week and it means I’ve been able to have a couple drinks. Back to it next month 😂 we’re going to stick to just every other day this month following the advice from the Dr xx

@MiniBaker I suppose you’re right... you just hear ‘low’ and immediately start to worry. He was unwell and on antibiotics three months ago which they say may have affected it. They’re sending him for another one in 3 months. His count was 50 million something per millilitre.

How’re you getting on? Whereabouts are you in the TWW? I’m currently 5DPO xx

@sunshineandshowers3 all in all the count is most important so you should be all good 😊

@sunshineandshowers3 you have to think about it in a combined way though... if the count is decent - say 2-3 times the norm -even if the motility and morphology is low it’s still 3 times the the norm. For example, say morphology was 5% and count was 30 Million/ml and just for reference normal count is 15 Million/ml - if he had 5% morphology of 30Million/ml that’s a lot more normal shaped sperm than 5% of 15Million/ml. So don’t be too worried about it xx

Thanks both @MiniBaker and @PeanuttyButter. Doctor apparently said all fine but looking at the results (although the sperm count is fine) the motility and morphology numbers are low 🙁. Like pretty low! Feel very disheartened but don’t want to get upset in front of DP. How can doctor say all fine when they’re both low?!?!

No not done a FRER but all my tests are getting darker and they all have colour. So I'm taking that as a positive

That definitely looks like progression to me 🥰 how wonderful! Have you done a FRER yet?

@sunshineandshowers3 ask for a printout of the results from the doctors to pick up and then you can see all the numbers for yourself and they have a guide on them too so you should be able to interpret yourself. I’m sure it will be okay, remember they say to let it build up for 3 days before so if it’s a bit lower they might just do a retest. Xx

@sunshineandshowers3 let us know what the doctor says on Thursday, try and get him to get some actual figures so you can decide what borderline means. I once was told no further action when I was anaemic turns out my value was the lowest number it could have been in the normal range. Least then you know where you are.

DP had a call from the doctors this afternoon. A very conflicting call! Not entirely sure who he spoke to but they said his file said ‘no further action’ but also the word ‘borderline’ was mentioned and a doctor is ringing him on Thursday. Feel quite worried if I’m honest 😕.

Update. A bit of line progression but not as much as I would have thought, I'm 13dpo and CD 29 of a usual 24day cycle.

It sounds like the consultation was positive then although frustrating at the same time no doubt.

I agree with the opk they are stressful and I knocked them on the head this cycle too, constantly thinking is it today, have I missed it etc.
It's also refreshing that they don't want to just jump to IVF which shows they are not just money grabbing. Wishing you all the luck xx

Just finished the consultation and my follicle count was actually 23 not 27 so she said it’s completely normal and my AMH blood test came back at 22.1 which apparently means I’ve got plenty of eggs left.

I asked her why else it might be taking so long and she recommended sticking to just DTD other day from day 8 of the cycle and not more.. she said that will give the sperm more time to build up full reserve. She also said to knock the OPKs on the head now, as i’ve been doing them a while and know I roughly ovulate around day 12 each time give or take a couple days, as it can cause unnecessary stress... just bought a brand new pack of clear blue digitals aswell 😂

She said to not think about paying for IVF at this stage as it can take up to 2 years without any fertility issues and this was from the private clinic who makes money from us buying IVF...

So back to the waiting game.

We are the same as you - got out of the habit of using preseed this month and I don’t think my DH likes using it as he said it’s not nice ... when are SA results due back?

Hi girls
CD 24 today, lots of cramping but no spotting since CD22 when I had the tiniest amount of pink when wiping. Took an IC yesterday definite BFN (top one) and this morning (bottom one) I think possibly see the start of something. Too faint to see if evap but I've never had anything but stark white. Might not be able to see it after upload but we will see

Is it strange that I've been scared to upload all day incase it jinxes it?

Lord knows...I always get confused with the numbers whether they mean for both ovaries or just one 🤷‍♀️. Yeah they’re fairly common from the reading I’ve done. Hopefully they go by themselves. Hope your consultation goes well tomorrow...let me know how you get on 😊.

I haven’t ovulated yet (due to on Saturday). DP had the SA yesterday so we’re okay now to DTD when we wish! Ah hopefully that has worked in your favour 😃. I’m not distracted at all at the moment as it’s the school holidays, but I’m equally loving not being back at work!! 😂 did you use pre-seed this month too? We’ve got out of the habit recently and don’t think there’s much left in the tube anyway 🙈xxx

So very similar cycle time to me! From reading on the other group it sounds like 15 total is the norm but a bit lower or higher is fine. I think yours sounds normal? Mine’s really quite high I think as 27 is nearly double the normal amount... I also had a little cyst but she didn’t seem too concerned either. Yes I had an AMH blood test - results are due back Thursday and got a consultation with the Doctor via Zoom so will pin down what the follicle count means... good news the SA is here 🎉

Did you manage to DTD around ovulation this cycle? My clear blue OPKs suggested I ovulated last Thursday so we’ll see. I’m a bit distracted as I’ve got quite a lot on with work at the moment so not given it my full attention which hoping is a good thing! x

I'm currently cd22 of a cycle of unknown length. Last cycle was 24 days which is usual for me but the 3 or 4 before that ranged from 24 to 30!!
No symptoms just a bit emotional really, doesn't feel any different to normal. Hope you are all well x

I was CD3 when she did the scan...it’s so confusing isn’t it?! She didn’t mention anything at all about my follicle count being low, but from looking online it appears to be (for my age at least). Didn’t have a blood test...did you? And if so, did you have your results back yet? She did notice an ovarian cyst on my left ovary...which she didn’t seem too concerned about and said it should go by itself. Never had one before though (that I know of).

How’re you doing? Have you ovulated this cycle yet? My partner has his SA tomorrow so glad that’s finally being looked into! xxx

@sunshineandshowers3 that’s great news that she said it’s normal and your lining is thick - mine was pretty thin but it was on CD4 - maybe it’s depends what time of the month to how many follicles you have? Yes I had 13 on one side and 14 on the other... I’m not 100% sure from googling but I remember her saying it was a good amount and I asked about PCOS (which is when you have too many) and she said it wasn’t high enough for that but it was the nurse not the Doctor. It may be worth asking on the other group? Did you have a blood test for your AMH too?

I’ve got my follow up with the Doctor next Thursday so I will ask a bit more about AFC and see what they say as Dr Google can be so confusing 🤦‍♀️ Xx

Also the lady taking my ultrasound said short and light periods aren’t a problem at all. She said she thinks mine is either a) stress or b) slightly short luteal phase. She said I’ve got to track it for another 3 months xx

Back from the scan. She said I have 6 follicles on one side and 7 on the other. She said it was normal but I’m thinking it’s on the lower side. @MiniBaker yours was much higher if I remember correctly?

I’ve been researching and it says between 8-15 is an acceptable/normal amount. Not sure if that is combined or just from one ovary though? Feeling a bit worried about it all. She said everything she saw with the scan was completely fine and that my endometrial lining was nice and thick but now very worried about the AFC!
