Holy crap.

AF now 3 days late. About 5 BFNs up to this point. Tested this morning using a cheapy.

I'm not going mad. That's a line?!?

@MgW1 I used those opks last month for the first time πŸ™‚

organised5 · 14/02/2021 20:36

@Incrediblytired that's lovely, I hope so too!

I'd already called myself out for this month after my string of BFNs, but AF has yet to arrive and is 2 days late. It's annoying as I was completely sure I am not pregnant, but this now planting some doubt / hope. If it doesn't arrive tomorrow then I'm testing again.

Just want it to start so I can get going on the next cycle!

Sending lots of love and luck to everyone xx

Sparkles512 · 14/02/2021 19:58

@incrediblytired that would be the dream, a 2021 baby 😍
Fingers crossed for us all 🀞

BubsNumber2inTheMaking · 14/02/2021 19:55

@Incrediblytired me too! How great would that be πŸ₯° Baby dust to all xxxx

@Sparkles512 yeah my cycle is pretty regular, 25-29 days but usually in the middle...

I really want EVERYONE on this thread to be preggo by March Smile

Incrediblytired · 14/02/2021 19:35

@BubsNumber2inTheMaking we’re trying to conceive number 2 but haven’t used contraception in 5 years since number 1 with no accidental pregnancies...and took a while to conceive number 1! So add that to being 37 and we’re not hugely optimistic... We’ve started OPK’s this month so fingers crossed but I was wondering if it’s worth speaking to GP if the options are IVF or carry on as we are...

Sparkles512 · 14/02/2021 18:45

@incrediblytired I've always had troublesome periods (irregular bleeding etc) and have always been told by the Dr's it's something I have to deal with!

BubsNumber2inTheMaking · 14/02/2021 18:20

@Incrediblytired is this your first child/ttc? No I'm not on any fertility stuff yet. I've been reading 'starts with the egg' though and it's fascinating stuff about egg quality and how it diminishes with age plus the things you can do and take to help. I think there are quite a few things to try and investigate before the IVF route. I'll report back if my chat with the clinic on Thursday throws up anything of interest!x

OP posts:
Incrediblytired · 14/02/2021 18:12

@Sparkles512 is your period always irregular? Have you had it checked out?

@BubsNumber2inTheMaking we’re both 37 and the age is freaking me out...at least I know I’m ovulating! Are you taking fertility medicine? I don’t really know much about it...we’ve decided against the full blown ivf route if we have difficulty but I’d def be open to a GP prescription for anything that might help! This is the first time I’ve used OPK’s and I’ve basically convinced myself that it’ll mean I’m preg this cycle...which is probably very over optimistic!

dunkedbiscuit · 14/02/2021 18:03

@GreysEmma I’m with you, I can feel myself wavering already! My 2 yr old is obsessed with babies all of a sudden? It’s so cute to watch isn’t it, all the teddies have to get nappy changes, given milk and put down for naps!

@sunshineandshowers3 no I don’t mind at all, I’m 33 and DH is 35 (genuinely had to take a minute to work that out then πŸ™ˆ) what about you guys?

I hope everyone’s having a nice relaxing valentines

Sparkles512 · 14/02/2021 17:49

@bubsnumber2inthemaking we try to DTD throughout my cycle but sometimes have days where we are too tired etc so might have missed it?

BubsNumber2inTheMaking · 14/02/2021 17:42

@GreysEmma I've heard of some people with short cycles getting bfp on 7/8dpo but for me, 10dpo has always been the magic number! I think I've tended to implant roughly 8dpo so need enough time for the hcg to build up after. I've just started my 2ww...10dpo will be next Sunday so going to try and keep busy till then! 😬 x

OP posts:
BubsNumber2inTheMaking · 14/02/2021 17:39

@Sparkles512 oh that's very confusing! Did you keep dtd after your suspected ov date? If so then there's a chance you got pregs later than you thought? I'd probs do another test to be sure but I'm a bit POAS obsessed! πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈx

OP posts:
GreysEmma · 14/02/2021 17:25

So im not due my period until 22nd and all along this month I've planned to wait till a missed period to test so why have I spend the last hour googling earliest pregnancy can be detected πŸ™ˆ

I blame lockdown with not.much going on I have too much time at the weekend to think about it...doesnt help my 2 year old has been playing babies with his teddies today looking like the cutest big brother!

Im not even sure if we have dtd enough/on the right days...definitely going to get some opks.for next month if AF does make an appearance!

Hope everyone else is having a good weekend/valentines!

Sparkles512 · 14/02/2021 17:17

@bubsnumber2inthemaking I've got my numbers all muddled up!
I ovulated around 18/19th January and took a pregnancy test CD 37 BFN and I'm currently CD 44.
So if my last period was 2nd January then I would be around 6 weeks pregnant now so surely it should have picked it up on the test last Sunday at 5weeks?

BubsNumber2inTheMaking · 14/02/2021 17:12

@Sparkles512 when do you think you ovulated? Are your cycles often long? I've read about people getting 2 peaks in a cycle but I can totally see why that would be confusing! Do you have any other ovulating symptoms? X

OP posts:
Sparkles512 · 14/02/2021 17:01

@bubsnumber2inthemaking I did a pregnancy test last Sunday which would be around CD 39 which was negative so doubt I'm pregnant?

BubsNumber2inTheMaking · 14/02/2021 16:59

@Sparkles512 could you be pregs? That can give you a positive opk....x

OP posts:
BubsNumber2inTheMaking · 14/02/2021 16:58

@Clapham4 I'm so glad I'm not the only one! πŸ€£πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ I've taken surprisingly well to being a recluse....my future is destined to be filled with awkward silences whilst my brain desperately searches for small chat subjects 🀣. Oh well, hopefully the rest of the world will be equally shit at it 🀞x

@sunshineandshowers3 we've been properly trying since Jan last year, although I came off my pill in Oct 2019! Bonkers. Never dreamed it would take us this long! Ttc baby #2, my ds took us about 2 months trying I think..but I was a lot younger then - he's now 4! πŸ™€ And I'll be 37 this year so I'm feeling the biological clock ticking. I do wonder whether age is to blame for the 2 mc I've had this last year πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ REALLY hoping it happens soon 🀞 We've done the first round of tests and everything showing as normal so far. Got a call with the fertility clinic on Thursday (gp referral) so that'll be interesting to hear what next steps would be. I've started taking COQ10 this month to help my egg quality..so I'm feeling hopeful! We shall see. I definitely understand the low days too though 😘 xx

Hi everyone, I'm so confused!

I have just had a Positive OPK, my last period started on 2nd January so I'm on CD 46!

Am I just ovulating but not had a period this month or are they just faulty!?

What does this mean, I just want AF to arrive so we can try again!

sunshineandshowers3 · 14/02/2021 16:41

Thank you all so much for your support - what a great bunch we have here! 😚 I just know we’ll all make fantastic Mums!

Thanks @BubsNumber2inTheMaking love your positivity! You sound just like my DP. How long have you been ttc if you don’t mind me asking? I feel I definitely need to switch my mindset - I normally have a few glum days when AF arrives and then pick myself back up. Try to keep the wallowing to a minimum as I know it’s not good for me.

@dunkedbiscuit The walk was freeeezing! But good to just get out and get some fresh air regardless. How old are you if you don’t mind me asking? Already feel like my clock is ticking ☹️.

Thanks too @Clapham4 πŸ₯° appreciate your kind words. How long have you been ttc?

Hope everyone has had a good VD ❀️

Clapham4 · 14/02/2021 10:40

@bubblegeek22 yes to a TWW buddy!! I’m also due on 25th 😬 There seems to be a few more too in the same boat? @dunkedbiscuit @BubsNumber2inTheMaking
when are you due AF? Hopefully she never arrives for any of us 🀞🏼X

@sunshineandshowers3 so sorry to hear you’re out and feeling down, TTC really is an emotional rollercoaster. I hope you feel better soon x

@MgW1 also so sorry you’re out. God it’s so hard when you get faint lines so you’re hopes are even higher I can imagine. Look after yourself today x

@BubsNumber2inTheMaking I lolled at your comment of not being out of the house, I had the same realisation on Friday, it had also been a weekπŸ™ˆ I’m worried for when live resumes i’ll have to relearn social skills 🀣

dunkedbiscuit · 14/02/2021 10:08

This is our first cycle this time @sunshineandshowers3 but ttc for #2 so I guess familiar territory. A walk and some fresh air sounds like a good plan, I hope it’s a bit warmer where you - it’s blimin freezing here! I’m so ready for Spring now!

@BubsNumber2inTheMaking a pottery kit sounds like a great idea! Maybe I should put more effort into date nights with something like that πŸ€” I’m glad your hubby is on the mend, bless em these men folk do struggle with these things don’t they. No grand plans here just a takeaway from the Thai and maybe some board games.
I’m not sure quite when I ovulated but I should be somewhere between 2-5 dpo

Sorry for @MgW1 and any others out this month. Let’s hope March brings us some spring sunshine and lots of BFP’s

BubsNumber2inTheMaking · 14/02/2021 09:54

@dunkedbiscuit why are men so utterly useless at being ill?! Women are so much tougher in my experience! The shit we have to go through... πŸ™„πŸ€ͺπŸ’ͺ
He seems to be on the mend now thank god. He ran me a bath...which is about as romantic as our VD is getting! 🀣 I'd bought a pottery kit to do a 'date night' with but will save that for next weekend now I think. Have you anything nice planned?
I'm in my tww now too. How many DPO are you? Ahh your kiddies bday will be a nice distraction! And they're so damn cute at 2yrs (albeit a handful too! πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ)xx

Awww I'm sorry to hear you're feeling down @sunshineandshowers3 . It's such an emotional rollercoaster this ttc malarkey. When I feel like that I just give in to it and let myself wallow. Tomorrow WILL be brighter. You'll bounce back and embrace the next month with all its glorious opportunity! But for now, just be kind to yourself and relax. It will happen, keep the faith πŸ’ͺxxx

And @MgW1 I'm sorry to hear of your BFN this morning. So infuriating when the hope is dangled in front of you like that. Hope you're doing ok? It sounds like you've got a good attitude going forwards though, and if I'm BFN this month then I will do the same. I realised this morning that I've not been out of the house for a WEEK. πŸ™€πŸ™€πŸ™€πŸ™€
Going to TRY and get out every day this coming week, even if it's just a 10min stroll. Hopefully this freezing weather will pass soon and make going outside more appealing! πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈxxx
