Hi @Dagray21 I know how you feel! Next month will be month 11 of trying for our first! We have had 4 friends and 1 family member post about being pregnant and god it’s heart breaking! I am 24 so young but I do have endometriosis so if it doesn’t happen this month I’m thinking of getting help as consultant told me to give it a year! We shall see! I’m not going to stress or panic just nice and chilled keeping my brain busy! Sending lots of love to you ❤️

Dagray21 · 09/02/2021 19:00

Hi ladies. Looking forward to joining and getting my feelings out. I've been reading all the posts the last few days and It's great to feel like someone else is feeling how you feel. This is our 7th month trying. I'm 38. Have 2 kids, got pregnant so easily but that was 10 years ago....we've had some months where I feel we dtd at the wrong time and my cycles have been irregular since coming off the pill but seeming to come back to 30 days of so now. AF due in 2 days and I really thought this month was the month. Started spotting last night but convinced myself it could be implantation bleed Confused so I did a test this morning....negative. I've had a cry and am ready to dust myself down and carry on again. Thinking of maybe going to the doctor this month....or should I keep going myself for a while....not sure. Just wanted to check in I suppose, I cant remember everyones names but wishing you all luck on your ttc journeys.

Fraanne · 09/02/2021 18:43

@MeltingSnowflake I believe I’m the same just waiting for AF to arrive! Although if I didn’t I would be so happy!! I’m keeping my brain busy and just thinking it’s PMS 🤣

MeltingSnowflake · 09/02/2021 16:42

Sorry @Natta1 - how frustrating!

I think I’m in the same boat as you @Fraanne - highly suspect I’m starting with PMS today! Have been so irritable Confused

Dinomama21 · 09/02/2021 15:31

Thank you all! MN has definitely kept me sane through all of this and through lockdown!

@Natta1 I'm so sorry 😞 it can be so disheartening, but enjoy your wine and all the BD coming up this cycle.

Fraanne · 09/02/2021 11:14

Today is about 6/7dpo and I’ve got period pains! I had an awful headache last night but I’m trying not to symptom spot! It’s so difficult! 🤣

@Dinomama21 so when I was doing the opk tests on the app it showed that I had a big reading and then ovulated the day after the peak! It’s so confusing 🤦🏻‍♀️

Slk3558 · 09/02/2021 10:21

@Dinomama21 For me can always feel ovulation happening around 24 hours after first OPK (ovulation pain) . So I take my temp after that and it spikes immediately after ovulation! But most people will take daily morning temps so that’s why you notice the rise the day after ovulation.

Natta1 · 09/02/2021 10:19

@JoannaRose it's our first cycle of trying, so kinda didn't expect to get pregnant but was hopeful as we were at it every 2nd day after AF stopped in Jan.

Unfortunately AF is in full force today so I guess this is cycle 2 now. I'm more disappointed than I thought I'd be, and my OH even more disappointed than me! But seeing cycle as a new start and a chance to have a glass of wine tonight haha! How long have you been TTC? xx

Slk3558 · 09/02/2021 10:15

@Dinomama21 Hey everyone. I hope it’s ok if I join in. I’m ttc no1 after a recent mmc of 7 weeks. Dinomama you are DPO the day after ovulation. You normally ovulate the day after you get your positive Ovulation result. If you got your smiley today you will probably ovulate tomorrow, and see a temp rise on Thursday morning. That will be 1 dpo. Hope that helps. Ovulation is 12-48 hours after a positive opk but in my experience is normally 24 hours. :)

Dinomama21 · 09/02/2021 08:56

@pixiedust21 so frustrating! Maybe best to test FMU?

Got my static smiley today, when do I start calculating dpo? Confused my temp hasn't peaked yet, slowly rising- do I wait for the peak then start counting? 😂

pixiedust21 · 08/02/2021 20:04

Nah, nothing (just tested with a FR). Pretty sure I'm not then, but why is AF not here?! Haha. Ahh. Going to go insane til something happens either way.

Dinomama21 · 08/02/2021 19:06

@JoannaRose symtom spotting is the worst! Last year I gave myself all the symptoms and even told DP that I just knew I was pregnant (I had that feeling with DC1) turned out to be a bfn- why do we do it to ourselves 😂 I'm crossing everything for you!

@pixiedust21 like I said I would stop OPKs and I never 😂 we all cant help ourselves can we! Hoping its a bfp for you!

pixiedust21 · 08/02/2021 18:55

Well the tests I ordered have arrived... eek... to test tonight or wait til tomorrow morning?? (Think we all know what will happen haha)

JoannaRose · 08/02/2021 18:00

It sounds like you’re in the right timeframe for it to be IB but also in the right timeframe for AF spotting which is frustrating! Have you tested yet?? You might be enough DPO to get a line with a sensitive test! Also, how long have you been TTC? :) xx

Natta1 · 08/02/2021 16:14

@JoannaRose it definitely looks different to normal, but I don't know if I'm just symptom spotting haha.

My cycles usually last between 28-31 days and tend to sit within the 30/31 mark more often than not. Usually Flo & Fitbit are bang on the money when predicting my period too xx

JoannaRose · 08/02/2021 16:12

@Natta1 Sounds like it could defo be implantation bleeding! Are your cycles usually regular and does Flo usually get your AF due date right?? Xx

JoannaRose · 08/02/2021 16:10

@Dinomama21 and @MeltingSnowflake Thank you ladies! I am wondering if perhaps I ovulated earlier and am later in dpo as the symptoms are continuing, but I also know that I could be making myself think things or looking for symptoms - I just don’t know what to think!

I did some research today and apparently when the egg fertilises it releases hormones into your blood, it is not HCG at this point so you’re definitely right but apparently it does release a hormone which can cause symptoms with fertilisation however the symptoms are not what I described, it is bloating and headaches!

TMI warning - I have continued to have congested nose and cramps and this is weird for me, way more CM then I think I’ve ever had! I woke up in the night because of it thinking I had started AF super early but it was just CM - could this be a good or bad sign or neither?

To all you lovely ladies I am looking to buy some FRERs and also some cheap pregnancy tests for next week, can I have recommendations for good cheap ones please?? Xx

Natta1 · 08/02/2021 16:07

Hi all!

So AF (according to Flo) is due on Thursday, however just went to the toilet and noticed very light pink bleeding when I wiped. There was absolutely no indication that AF was coming early apart from very very sore boobs. Normally my spotting before AF is very dark brown, so hoping it could be implantation bleeding?

Just told my OH and he's pretty upset. Annoyingly I've also drank about 1.5l of water today so can't even do a test right now! What do you guys think? x

HattieJJ88 · 08/02/2021 14:55

@alwayshungry95 that makes total sense. Thank you lovely.

Now my question would be why would my LH surge for so long. Never happened before 🤷🏼‍♀️ haha. Don't we drove ourselves crazy when TTC lol. Xx

OP posts:
Alwayshungry95 · 08/02/2021 14:04

Sorry 12-36 hours I meant

Alwayshungry95 · 08/02/2021 14:03

@HattieJJ88 just from extensive (obsessive!) reading on here and online in general, the opks show you an increase to your LH level and not ovulation itself.

So its possible to get positive opks for a long time, but the peak (when the test line is as dark or darker than the control line) triggers ovulation which happens within 12-26 hours after. If your peak happened within that time frame and you ovulate, it would take a few days for your LH levels to decrease after and you'd test positive on the opk.

I think that's right anyway! Hmm

HattieJJ88 · 08/02/2021 11:35

@pixiedust21 🤞🤞

@HattieJJ88 @Dinomama21 hi Smile I don't have any tests in the house at the minute but I ordered some to come today or tomorrow so I'll test again when I get them! Really not sure as I tested sat and it was BFN. But still no AF either.... so.... we will see I suppose!

HattieJJ88 · 08/02/2021 11:09

Question for my ovulation testing ladies.

I finally got a negative opk after nearly a whole week of positives opks do you think I actually would have been ovulating for that long?? Or maybe released a couple of eggs? I have no idea what my body is doing 😂

Any ideas?

@pixiedust21 tested today? 😬 Xx

Dinomama21 · 08/02/2021 09:52

@JoannaRose thank you! ❤
I'm not sure, but you can get ovulation symptoms. From my understanding, and I can very well be wrong, HCG surges happen after implantation and that causes symtoms, and its HCG hormones that causes symtoms 🤷‍♀️ but this is all new to me, so I can very well be wrong 😂

@pixiedust21 how are you feeling today?
