AF every month 27th
Last AF December 27th
positive ovulation test Jan 15th. DTD 14th & 15th. AF due Jan 27th.
When is the earliest you would test?
I'm definitely not imagining it but have more discharge than usual, stomach always rumbling even while eating. Gas, horrendous low back pain and cramps. Sorry if tmi.
I know alot is common AF signs....but you know how it is when you are hopeful.
Thanks x

Hi both! Glad to see this chat is being used again! My period is due on Thursday and took a FTER test this morning but it was negative. Didn't learn from last month in terms of waiting to test on the day AF is due 😏 x

Sesamechick · 21/02/2021 14:49

@MaltyJones92

You're not out till AF shows.
If af does come then there's always next month lovely.
Fingers crossed for you x

@Sesamechick well I caved and tested today (9DPO) with a FRER and got a BFN unsurprisingly! AF due tomorrow and getting the usual symptoms so pretty sure I'm out for the month. Fingers crossed for cycle 6 instead 🤞🏻

Sesamechick · 21/02/2021 07:30

@MaltyJones92

I feel pretty chilled too even though I'm only 4/5DPO. Also I've already told myself that bc we only DTD twice in my fertile window that it's unlikely. Last month I was convinced I was pregnant bc of all the crazy symptoms I was experiencing. I've learnt my lesson. I still have ic tests but will use that not before 10dpo at least.
Hope your twinges are a good sign 🤞
Think also I'm so damn tired that I can't even think straight 🤣 my youngest is the worst sleeper ever.

MaltyJones92 · 20/02/2021 12:25

@Sesamechick I've been eating oranges every day 🤣 Maybe that'll help.

Don't feel like an idiot - even if it was just a heavy period, that's enough to make me cry most months!

Cramping seems to have stopped today (also normal for me) but do feel a bit twingey on the left side. Weirdly I'm finding it super easy to hold off on testing until Monday. I think I'm maybe a little bit more chilled about it as I'm convinced AF is coming due to my usual cramps happening like clockwork 🤷🏻‍♀️

Sesamechick · 19/02/2021 20:21

@MaltyJones92

Literally just saw on another post a lady who took vitamin C to lengthen her LP (& was successful) Thought I would mention it as made me think of you.

Exactly what I said to my husband about the possible mc. I hate that idk. I was so upset going through it and would cry but then felt like an idiot bc i told myself I'm crying over a heavy period but then would tell myself how dare I brush the mc aside. Was not a good month!!

I'm the same with working out. Really need to get healthier!! X

OP posts:
MaltyJones92 · 19/02/2021 17:35

@Sesamechick apparently certain supplements/foods can make your LP longer so I'm going to try that next month - can't hurt!

I will definitely let you know how I get on on Monday, but I don't have high hopes. Getting my usual dull cramps which I always get in the days leading up to AF 😭 At least I don't have to worry about the wine I'm planning on drinking tonight 🤣

Sorry to hear about your potential MC - I can imagine that would be a horrible experience, especially when there's no way of officially confirming what it was.

Yes, it's my first time TTC. I also could do with losing some weight. I'm usually quite active, but with the gyms currently shut, it's hard to continue. I also despise running, so I'm sacking any exercise off (except walking) until the gyms reopen!

Sesamechick · 19/02/2021 16:07

@MaltyJones92

Please let me know how you get on when you test on Mon. Hard not to het hopefuly but fingers crossed for you!
I didn't realise there are ways to make your luteal phase longer!

How cool you're a copywriter! At least you'll be a pro at pregnancy with all the reading.
I'm sure I always ask you this and forgive me but are you ttc your 1st?

I had my IUD removed in Aug as it was the end of it's life. I'm convinced i had a very early mc one month. I before I was due my period, i would wake during the night desperate for OJ.... i bloody hate OJ! Never drink it. Lots of weird things and then before my period was due I bled SO much and huge clots. It was so heavy, called NHS and they told me to go into walk in which I did. They said it is a possibility it was an early MC or my body going back to 'norm' after IUD so who knows?
Anyways so I guess we have been trying since Aug. My other 3 kids I was lucky enough to fall pregnant right away. I've never ever tracked ovulation etc suppose it is also down to age, weight etc. Could prob do with losing some weight 🤫😬

@Sesamechick Don't fret! I've seen so many women on here convinced they haven't conceived, and then they seem to be the ones posting the positive results shortly after. Like you said before, it only takes once.

All good here - still holding out to test on 10dpo which is the day AF is due (Monday). I've noticed my luteal phase is getting shorter and shorter so I'm going to do some research on how to change that. I have had mild twinges the last two days, but this happens every month about five days before AF anyway. I think it may be to do with my PCOS, but I'm not sure.

I'm a copywriter for a living and hilariously the job I'm working on at the moment is a website for pregnant mums (antenatal education) - feels like a real kick in the teeth at the moment seeing all these pictures of bumps and babies 🤣

What month of TTC are you now? This is month 5 for me x

Sesamechick · 19/02/2021 08:33

@MaltyJones92

How you doing?
I'm so chilled this month because I don't think we DTD enough due to various reasons. So frustrating!! Ovulation according to 2 apps was 16th/17th and fertile window was 11th-16th.
DTD the 11th and 14th 😫 oh well. There is always next month!
Fingers crossed for you xx

MaltyJones92 · 17/02/2021 10:34

@Sesamechick let's hope so! I'll try and take a more chilled out approach this month and not test until Sunday/Monday. I'll keep you updated 🤣🙏🏻

Sesamechick · 17/02/2021 07:34

@MaltyJones92

Hopefully this will be the last month of us trying🤣 although I'm doubtful this was the month for us. DH hasn't been feeling great so the BD has had to wait. Oh well!
I think sometimes we drive ourselves crazy with dates and tests etc that it becomes more of a chore! I'm guilty of it. Tried taking a relaxing approach this month, i knew my fertile window and did what we could.
Hopefully you dtd at the right time...u never know! Good luck and keep me updated!!
Yesterday/today I'm ovulating but I think we missed our chance x

OP posts:
MaltyJones92 · 16/02/2021 16:32

@Sesamechick Ah we're in it together for another month then! 🤣 I think I'm now 4dpo. Getting slightly concerned though because my period is due to start on Monday which means I'll have had a really short luteal phase which has got me panicking. I might do a test on Sunday at 9dpo and see. But I've ovulated a little later than usual so it may mean my period will come later - I have no idea anymore. I think the problem is we DTD too early and then by the time I'm ovulating neither of us can be bothered anymore. I never thought that would be a problem - it's not like in the movies where this is supposed to be the fun/exciting part.

But like you said - it only takes once!

Sesamechick · 16/02/2021 14:29

@MaltyJones92

Hey!!
Like you I'm due to ovulate today/tomorrow! Really hoping this is our month! I've promised myself not to go crazy with POAS but really who am I kidding.
Haven't DTD as often as we hoped but it only takes once right?
Fingers crossed for you!

MaltyJones92 · 11/02/2021 09:51

Hi Everyone - just checking in to see how we're all doing? Is anyone else entering their next 2ww? I think I've already ovulated or it'll happen today/tomorrow. I'm now on cycle 5 of TTC. Crossing fingers for this month 🤞🏻 I always feel totally chilled about it when my cycle starts, but these two weeks always make me crazy! 🤣

Emerald4512 · 29/01/2021 21:43

Congrats @Tryingandhoping2020!

To the rest of us, it's frustrating but it's not the end of the world, although it's soooooooooooo hard not obsess over it but at least we know now. X

MaltyJones92 · 29/01/2021 08:11

@Tryingandhoping2020 Thank you! I hope everything goes well for you over the next nine months xx

MaltyJones92 · 29/01/2021 08:10

@Sesamechick I have also just had to postpone/cancel my wedding for a second time which isn't helping. We were supposed to have the big white wedding back in November, then decided to scale it back completely to 15 people for end of February, but now we can't do that either. I think we all put too much pressure on ourselves sometimes! 🤣

MaltyJones92 · 29/01/2021 08:08

@Sesamechick This was also my first month of properly trying. Since October we have been very casual about it all, but we agreed January was the time we would really try. I've never been pregnant before so have no idea what symptoms to expect, but I was also convinced this month was my month. It's the two very faint positives I had that completely threw me off. I was telling my OH yesterday that I don't think lockdown is helping the situation at all. Normally I would be out and about at work and seeing people, but now that I can't do any of that I've turned to obsessing about this instead 😅🤦🏻‍♀️ I think I'll let myself care about it again this month with the ovulation strips and the apps, but if it doesn't happen then I'm going to try and make myself take a step back from all that and go with the flow a bit more.

Tryingandhoping2020 · 29/01/2021 07:55

I’m sorry @Sesamechick and @MaltyJones92 Sad fingers crossed for you next month! Xx

Sesamechick · 29/01/2021 06:32

@MaltyJones92

AF definitely here. I'm honestly shocked as I've had the strangest symptoms which I have never had before. I'm feeling really down about it tbh.
Came off BC mid August. Periods have been v regular since then. Always the 27th. We weren't actively trying from August and also husband was away for work alot (keyworker) so wasn't tracking ovulation etc
Jan was the 1st month I was tracking it.
Like you I feel so frustrated. I've been very lucky in the past. I feel pregnant with my 3 other children the month I came off BC.
Fingers crossed for the both of us this will be our cycle x

@Sesamechick never mind lovely - there's always next month. I've already told my other half we're just going to have to try twice as hard this time 🤣 What month of TTC are you? I'm only month four but it's hard not to get frustrated!

MaltyJones92 · 28/01/2021 20:48

@Tryingandhoping2020 ahhh massive congratulations! Hope it all goes well for you 🙏🏻❤️

Sesamechick · 28/01/2021 18:24

Guess this wasn't the month for me x
