Sorry. I’ve realised my last post is not positive. Which I try to be but I guess not today!

I obviously don’t know other people’s struggles to get pregnant but god that pang when you see the announcement and the Instagram type pictures.
I very naively thought this would happen for us within 6 months.

Good luck to everyone within the tww, May one of us get a bfp soon and @Janefx40 take care and take it easy. You know where we are if you ever need to chat xx

Oilyoilyoilgob · 21/01/2021 11:50

Hello everyone, catching up and thank you all for so much kindness regarding my gorgeous girl. A week ago today she was put to sleep. Feels a bit better in a way to get that hill over and done with as I was counting down the days.

As last week was a stressful one I can remember the day I got a very dark stripe on my opk stick. I think it was tues or weds so I’m approx 8/9 dpo. No signs, I’m getting spotty but that’s it.

For the second time in a week I’ve clicked on a link which took me to Facebook, the link didn’t work. So I clicked back and it’s twice taken me to my feed (I don’t go on social media) and guess what? First time was a distant friend had her baby, second time just now TWO pregnancy announcements. I’m really happy for them but I’m getting fed up that it hasn’t happened for us, and the one time it did it didn’t stick 😔 I’m so sorry to be a downer but I’m really finding this hard.
We are going to try other methods from end of March but I just want to hide away 😕

Janefx40 · 21/01/2021 10:29

@eloiseislost and everyone else you have made me laugh so much on this thread and been super supportive too.

With our news yesterday I'm going to come off Mumsnet for a while. I need to stop focusing on TTC and accept that having another baby may not be in our life plan. We have one already so we are very very lucky.

I've not been on this thread long but I've loved every minute of it!!! Hope you all get your BFPs soon

Xxx

Janefx40 · 21/01/2021 10:27

@MrsKin90 good plan on the extra SI. Cannot hurt to trust the EWCM! Fingers crossed for you. Yes give up on the temping for this month - I could never get my head around it and feared it would accelerate my already unhealthy obsession!

@AdriannaP 5th Feb must seem an eternity. I have been through a successful IVF pregnancy that I think was the most anxious time of my life. When you've been through losses or infertility pregnancy can be terrifying. I think I could have been sectioned if anyone had assessed me in the first trimester. It did get easier gradually - every time I had an ok scan the anxiety dialled down - only a tiny bit but over time things did improve. I've also been through a miscarriage and know how overwhelming that is too. Sending you so much love.

@Sydney1986x have everything crossed for a positive for you! Hope you get a clear answer soon

@primrosechill 10dpo is when I start to get super nervous - hoping for a BFP for you

MrsKin90 · 21/01/2021 09:31

@Sydney1986x what is your body doing to you?! It's a great sign there's no AF yet, even I would be testing several times a week at that stage! I hope you're okay. I hate it when AF buggers off and there's no bfp to show for it. This happens frequently to me as my ovaries run on their own time zone and take frequent holidays.

MrsKin90 · 21/01/2021 09:27

@AdriannaP I hope those days fly by for you! I can't imagine how hard it is, especially going to the toilet that must be such an anxious time. I hope you have lots to keep you busy in the next couple of weeks? Even though it's probably always in the back of your mind time passes easier I think if we're not watching the seconds tick by. We sleep/are trying to sleep for about 9 hours a day, at work (assuming you're working!) for 8 hours a day. We obsess about the news for at least an hour every day. That's 18 hours a day dealt with. 😊 Just 6 hours each day to get through?? And if nothing else all this waffle will take up ten minutes!

@primrosechill that's a hilariously sad way to describe it 😂 lol it's nicer to think you're not getting your usual spots for a super good reason (although well-done for eating healthier 😊). I have a good habit of harassing people into not testing early 😇 no judgment if you do though!

FF has given me dotted crosshairs putting me at 7dpo today (not 8 like I thought) but I don't agree with it. 🙃 I am no longer taking my BBT this cycle. Fun time for you guys as you'll get to hear me moan about my cycle confusion for the forseeable 😁

Sydney1986x · 21/01/2021 09:11

Morning everyone,

Still no sign of AF, have some mild sharp pains but nothing of note really. No usually AF symptoms but feel my body or mind could be playing tricks on me..!!!

Will keep you all posted, likely to test again this weekend.. if AF doesn’t show her ugly face before then lol.

Hope you’re all doing ok.. most in 2WW it seems now?!

@Oilyoilyoilgob I am so sorry to hear about your cat. Devastating and thinking of you xx

primrosechill · 20/01/2021 22:48

(Sorry for all the typos, long day and fat fingers 😂)

primrosechill · 20/01/2021 22:47

@Birchybirch the schroedingers cat analogy really tickled me 😂😂 let’s see if my uterus has come to live or will soon die its monthly death from AF 😆😭

@MrsKin90 I’ve been good and not testing the last couple of cycles - maybe you finally talked some sense into me! Just to devastated every time I see a bfn so would rather avoid it. My period is due on Sat so not touching any sticks before Sunday, unless AF gets me first. Well done to you for keeping at it with the SI!

I have also tried to not symptom spot and overall succeeded except today I finally caved 😆 Normally I get bad acne this time in the cycle but no spots so far - I am also earing healthier and testing new facewash products so literally could be down to any of these variables 🤦🏻‍♀️

@AdriannaP I’m so sorry that this is such an axious time for you and wish you never had to go through your MCs so that you wouldn’t know the fear of losing a pregnancy. Keeping absolutely everything crossed that this one ends well for you ❤️

AdriannaP · 20/01/2021 22:12

I have a scan appointment now. Friday 5th February- 16 days from now. Feels like an eternity.

So for now focused solely on making it through until then. Super anxious every time I go to the toilet as I am worried I wipe blood again.
So so hoping this one will stick, I think this will be my last attempt (3 previous MC).

Birchybirch · 20/01/2021 22:09

Ah @primrosechill I called this my Schrodinger's cat time! I both was and wasn't pregnant, and equally love and hate it! Good luck! 🤞

MrsKin90 · 20/01/2021 20:34

@primrosechill oooh 10dpo! The best and worst time at the same time. I really hope this one is a bfp for you 🤞 how are you feeling?! Are you going to be patient and not test?

I think I'd have a break down if I didn't have a sense of humour.
I'm either 7, 2 or 0dpo 😂 it's going well. SI'd this evening, poor hubby but he gets a gold star for effort 🥰 looking at my temps I can't possibly be ovulating today but best to catch the ewcm just in case. Absolutely not doing any more though. I am throwing in the towel for this cycle if I haven't ovulated yet!!

primrosechill · 20/01/2021 20:17

@Oilyoilyoilgob lovely to hear from you on here and sorry to hear about your cat. Big hugs.

@rs2015 ah that’s really interesting about geoup therapy! What has worked for me is physio and some relaxation tactics but same as you it goes in cycles for me - sometimes I get very fatalistic and think I will never fully resolve it - and maybe partially that’s true.

@MrsKin90 @Bluey18 sorry your bodies are playing up! But love to see that you approach it with a sense of humour 😆

I’m 10DPO today - drumroll - it’s getting into crunchtime! It’s that time of the cycle where you really start clinging onto hope but equally you get anxious that it’s going to be another BFN... 😬💆🏻‍♀️

Birchybirch · 20/01/2021 19:05

@Bluey18 haha, you got this! 💪

Bluey18 · 20/01/2021 17:53

@MrsKin90 I know right?! So inconsiderate 😂. My poor OH 🤣🤣.

@Birchybirch ooh, thank you for that, that's some great motivation there Grin

Birchybirch · 20/01/2021 17:51

@Bluey18 I ovulated really late last month for no apparent reason, and got by bfp, so I'd recommend a bonus SI or two, just incase... Will keep everything crossed for you! 🤞

Oilyoilyoilgob · 20/01/2021 16:25

Ladies, old and new to the thread, thank you all ever so much for your kind words. Honestly it really means a lot to me and that kindness and energy has come through on your messages. I really miss her 😞 Sending love to everyone who has been through this and sending love to our babies at rainbow bridge 💚

@Janefx40 I’m sorry you’ve not received good news. I’m sure you’ll take some time to process it but take care to look after yourself xx

MrsKin90 · 20/01/2021 16:01

@Bluey18 that does look the most positive OPK! Oh dear. What are bodies playing at? Don't they know they're meant to start as they mean to go on this year?! If you SI'd yesterday I think you'd be fine not doing it today and doing it tomorrow instead?

Bluey18 · 20/01/2021 15:51

@MrsKin90 I think that would be a great idea. A bonus bonus SI just in case!

As for me, my body is clearly just messing with me now. Did a last ditch opk for this cycle and it's positive. I never, ever, ever ovulate this late. Now to convince DP to do another SI tomorrow (no way we are going again today after doing one yesterday Blush)

Bluey18 · 20/01/2021 15:42

@Oilyoilyoilgob I'm so very sorry to hear the loss of your lovely girl. It is always so hard to let them go. My boy had to be PTS 3 years ago at age 14 and I still think of him all the time.

@Janefx40 I'm sorry to hear the news from the urologist wasn't good. Sending you a big hug xx. I think in your shoes I would continue to try naturally just so I could say I tried everything I could. As you said, your DD is here despite everything!

MrsKin90 · 20/01/2021 15:35

@Janefx40 that's super positive if he thinks this was possibly the case with your first? Miracles so happen, don't give up hope! X

MrsKin90 · 20/01/2021 15:31

@Lori23TTC my cervix doesn't seem to behave that way. 🤔 how exciting that you've ovulated a bit earlier than usual! 😊 Fingers crossed for your tww.

Thanks ladies I'll definitely consider OPKs next cycle if this one isn't the one!

I'm getting loads and loads of EWCM. Like a TMI amount! So I'm gently prodding hubby for some "intimate time" even though he's having a shit day. Just in case I haven't ovulated. Then I think I'll relax a bit as we've not done SI since Sunday 😕

Janefx40 · 20/01/2021 15:07

Thanks everyone. I know 6% isn't 0 so I guess there is always a chance.

The urologist was amazing - very kind and empathetic. Diet and supplements won't hurt but they can't correct this level of damage. The best hope is if he finds an actual condition that is causing it that he can treat. But he also said that it is likely DPs sperm was this bad 3 years ago when we conceived our daughter - so there is always hope (although admittedly I was younger then).

Thanks @eloiseislost I'm sorry for your loss. I will never regret our little 9 week bean either. She was my child just as much as our DD.

Love to the rest of you - we are all awesome for finding ways to conceive despite having various hurdles to overcome. Women are amazing how we circumvent whatever life throws at us to go for it!!!

Birchybirch · 20/01/2021 14:42

Aww @oilyoilyoilgob hello again! So very sorry to hear about your cat. It is so heartbreaking to make that decision, but as you say, sometimes you look in their eyes, and you just know. I hope in the not too distant future, you wi be able to remember her fondly, without it hurting so much.

Ah sorry to hear your news @janefx40. Like others have said, take some time, and then look at exploring what other options you have. There's always a chance, and although 6% seems low, in a room full of 100 people, you could be one of those 6 people....

Makingnumber2 · 20/01/2021 13:19

@Janefx40 so sorry the specialist has painted a gloomy picture. Like Eloise said there are still other options but of course you’ll want and need time to process all the info you got today first. I do think that if you both still want to keep trying naturally whilst you look at other options then you should because stranger things have happened. Can any of the sperm damage be improved with supplements or diet and exercise? Sorry to be so ignorant about this!

@ComebackQueen that is so fantastic that you were able to get something up there! Well done- it must have felt like such a great achievement. every step forward, no matter how small, is progress and taking you in the right direction for your BFP
