Thank you so much @Carol1980 ❤️❤️❤️

Carol1980 · 27/03/2021 12:57

@Bizawit that is fantastic news !!!!!
Totally made up for you ❤️❤️❤️

Tell all !!

Bizawit · 27/03/2021 12:55

Hello ladies, sorry for the long silence. It took me ages to get up the courage to test 🙈, and then I was unsure about sharing , when others are going through loses :(.

But... got my BFP 😭😍. I’m absolutely paranoid as I’ve had loses before and it’s early days. But I guess only time will tell if it’s viable. I’m trying to stay positive.

@Carol1980 I’m so so sorry about your chemical. There was definitely a line on that second test. Sounds like @AdriannaP has some really good advice.

@Sydney1986x I had a hycosy last month and really believe it may have made the difference. So make sure you keep up the SI the next few months would be my advice 💪🏻. Good on you for your positive attitude and determination to lose the weight. I’m so sorry it’s been triggering for you - it does seem very draconian to have these rules. 💔

@Oilyoilyoilgob thinking if you in your 2ww! Not long to go..

@Makingnumber2 glad your vitamins arrived. I don’t think you need to wait for a period until ovulation kicks in. I think first you will ovulate and then period will follow..? 🤔 so if I were you I’d say try to catch it straight away ☺️. Problem is knowing when you are likely to ovulate I guess..

Carol1980 · 27/03/2021 12:49

@Makingnumber2 glad the vitamins have arrived x

I'm having such a weird time right now !!

My 'AF' is weird !! I started to get red yesterday and I've got some today but I'm not even filling a pad ( sorry if that TMI) I'm getting no gushing at all, in fact it's only when I wipe that I'm actually getting anything !! And OMG I'm peeing sooooo freaking much !!

Has anyone experienced this ?

Makingnumber2 · 27/03/2021 12:43

Great news about your hycosy happening @Sydney1986x and that everything is looking great internally. I appreciate although that is great news it also must be frustrating to know that as there isn't anything specific not 'working' that it's unexplained infertility.
I totally know where your coming from about finding the weight discussion triggering.
I too was bulimic in my teens and into early 20s and found the discussion about weight v triggering in my first midwife appointment with my first pregnancy. I did just tell her from the start and they made a note on my file that I wasn't to be weighed regularly etc. and if I was then the weight wouldn't be disclosed to be in the appointment unless I wanted it to be. They knew I was aware my weight was higher than it should be and how I could take steps to address it.
Maybe email your consultant if you're not comfortable mentioning it to them face to face because it's emotive for you? And I totally agree with @Oilyoilyoilgob about re-framing it in that way. Plus- just to say- you are obviously doing some things right otherwise your womb wouldn't be receiving such compliments! It's awesome this has given you that fire and determination- you've got this!!

@Carol1980 the aspirin and progesterone cream sound really promising! Let us know how you get on with these additions.

Bizawit- hope you're ok.

Oily thanks for the hugs- sending some back Smile

Adrianna and Eloise- hope you're feeling good and everything is going well with the little beans.

My conceive plus and Ubiquinol arrived today- I'm trying to work out when to start taking it. My bleeding stopped from yesterday so I'm not sure if that would count as like the end of a period? Or if you do need to wait for a 'proper' period before you can rely on ovulation kicking back in. I have to take another HCG test next Fri and if that's negative I'm going to start OPK testing about 5 days after. So may start taking supplements from next Fri- can't do any harm!
Wishing everyone a lovely weekend- hope you all have some spring sunshine! xx

Oilyoilyoilgob · 27/03/2021 11:57

@Sydney1986x well done you for going for the hycosy and I’m so happy to read everything looks beautiful! That’s really fantastic news.
I did read online something like 82% of couple get pregnant within a year and that jumps up to 90 something percent after two years. So it still could happen naturally and if not you’ve done the amazing first step of getting the ball rolling.

Please try not to think they’re telling you you’re ‘not good enough’ try and reframe it that they’d like you to be in a good place to get pregnant and carry a baby, and have a safe pregnancy and labour. That’s what I’m telling myself about my weight loss 😊

Sorry you lost two inches off you height, that made me chuckle!
Really pleased you have that fire in your belly, you’ll get there 😊

I’m not going to tag but thinking of people awaiting ovulation, in their tww or about to test and sending big hugs to makingnumber2, I hope you’re ok 💚
To the ladies carrying their little beans I hope you’re all feeling good
Xx

Carol1980 · 27/03/2021 09:21

@Sydney1986x your strong and you will do it x I would have mentioned to them about your bulimia though as they at least had to be taken in to account that simply reeling you to lose weight can be a massive trigger point ! You've overcome it and it's great that things are looking good with all your bits though x

Sydney1986x · 27/03/2021 09:13

Good morning lovelies,

I am sorry to hear AF showed for you @Carol1980

Excitedly waiting for an update from @Bizawit have you taken a test yet Grin ?

So my hycosy was yesterday, it went fine.
I took painkillers well before and I would say it felt more of a pressure (like I was going to pee myself!). Everything looked fine.. tubes are clear, ovaries fine, uterus and womb lining “beautiful’ according to the consultant. Hubby to he’s sperm is great, so we have unexplained infertility.

We are not entitled to one round of IVF until my BMI is well under 30. I need to lose about a stone. I’ve also always thought I was 5foot3 and I am in fact 5foot1 🤔😂 so that’s obviously messed up my BMI. I should add I had bulimia about 10 years ago and I have found the whole discussion around weight pretty triggering. I’ve worked hard to retrain my mind, my core beliefs and accept myself. Now I am being told that isn’t good enough and I do feel like it is a slippery slope. I didn’t have the courage to tell the consultant this 😞.

I am still trying to mentally process yesterday.. like I am relieved there is nothing ‘wrong’ but it’s frustrated my body isn’t doing what it is intended to do right now. They will keep me on their list and I need to call back when I’ve lost weight. We will obviously try ‘naturally’ in that time too. I did get a bit emotional before the hycosy, I think it was the build up of waiting for well over a year for this and in limbo. The staff were lovely.

So I’ve woken up today with fire in my belly. I will lose this weight, I will continue exercising and we will have our longed for baby 🥰!

As per, sorry for my essay 😂

I hope we get some BFPs this months, hope you’re all ok, and if you’re not, that’s ok too ✨ xxx

Carol1980 · 27/03/2021 08:22

@AdriannaP thanks for the info x

I've ordered some Biovea progesterone cream to try first off to see if it's just a little that I need x might have to make an appointment with the doctors to see what they say x

AdriannaP · 27/03/2021 08:13

@Carol1980 progesterone is prescription only. There is some leaflet on the Tommy’s site that can help you get it prescribed. You need to explain to your GP that you think you have a chemical miscarriages.
Implantation issues can have many reasons eg thyroid issues, clotting issues (likely in my case), not enough progesterone or sometimes even bad luck (when embryo would have not been healthy anyway). Apparently every third pregnancy does not implant.

I think I had at least 3 chemical pregnancies last year: very light spotting around day 23/24 for a few days (no panty liner needed) a very light positive pregnancy test, period started a few days later. My period never normally starts with spotting:

Carol1980 · 27/03/2021 07:15

@AdriannaP
Is progesterone prescription only ?
I think I'll add aspirin to my daily routine. Where would I get progesterone as a supplement ?
Might be that I have issues with implantation ? It seems to be that I get the positive and the. Like you said I start spotting and get my period. Given that my period is usually light with only 3 days worth of mensuration, so I'm wondering if I just don't produce enough of a good environment for implantation due to sheer lack of volume ?

AdriannaP · 26/03/2021 22:03

@Carol1980 I had this quite a few times: a faint positive test, followed by spotting then period. My fertility consultant said a test would never come up positive unless there has been a conception and thought that I had implantation issues. I then took progesterone and aspirin from ovulation not BFP.

So sorry to hear about your news. Thought I should share in case useful for you. Big hug

Carol1980 · 26/03/2021 21:20

@MrsKin90 thanks love x
I'm more just hacked off right now. I've been bleeding most of the day but not enough to actually put a pad on 🤷‍♀️ it was mostly deep dark red and brown today and tonight it's more red but again not actual flow, which is not usual for me at all, just want to get the flow over with and start a new cycle.
I would class myself as lucky in some ways as I have such a short LH and my cycles are generally about 25/26 days on average, I'm only cd23 ( now cd1 obviously) but that is early even for me !!

I'm going to try and remain optimistic that at least I can get an egg fertilised 🤷‍♀️ even through SI, just need the little fecker to stick 🤦🏼‍♀️

How is everyone else getting on ?

@Bizawit have you tested yet ? X

MrsKin90 · 26/03/2021 20:53

@Carol1980 I'm so sorry, that's really shit ❤️ I hope you're okay. Definitely the danger with testing earlier I think. Some people prefer to know though so don't beat yourself up for testing.

Carol1980 · 26/03/2021 10:59

@Oilyoilyoilgob thanks love ❤️

Oilyoilyoilgob · 26/03/2021 09:55

Hi @Carol1980 and @Makingnumber2 on the info re capsules. I’ll check them out.

Carol sorry to see you started your period, cruel trick of the sticks there 🙁
Hope you are feeling ok during the last couple of days of ups and downs and have a rested weekend xx

Carol1980 · 26/03/2021 08:13

@Makingnumber2 I'm just kicking myself to be honest.
I've made the decision that from now on I'm not going to waste money on tests and just wait 🤨 finding out too early just leads to horrendous disappointment when AF shows!

Need to order some more opk now 🤦🏼‍♀️

Thank you for your kind words though x I'm not too bad just now because I honestly didn't get more than a few hours of 'yeeey we're pregnant' so hadn't gotten used to the idea yet x

Makingnumber2 · 26/03/2021 06:21

Oh @Carol1980 I’m so sorry that AF has shown. That is just cruel to give you a squinter on the rest and then she still turns up.
I’ve read cervical position isn’t a reliable indicator of pregnancy but I haven’t looked properly at what research is behind that claim. I hope you’re ok and Make sure you treat yourself to all the things you enjoy and just take care of yourself over the next few days xx

Carol1980 · 26/03/2021 05:52

Well my body must be playing tricks on me, I'm pretty sure my 'brown spotting' is now a deep red so I'm guessing it's AF 🤷‍♀️

Couple of days early but knowing my luck of late it makes sense.

My question is why the hell is my cervix still high and very soft 😳🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

It's day like this that when your ttc you just think FFS 🤨

@Bizawit I hope your having better luck than me !!

Carol1980 · 25/03/2021 21:35

I won't tell if you won't tell my hubby how much I spent on them 🤣🤣🤣

I'm such a POSA !!

Took another this evening....def darker than earlier !!
Also got some brown spotting !!

Just need to get through the first weeks and months before I will be able to properly relax !

I often wonder if people who haven't had a MC go through the same worry and stress and fear that we do when they first find out their pregnant ?

I'm still not 100% convinced that it will stick....

Makingnumber2 · 25/03/2021 20:38

@Carol1980 my skin is horrendous atm thanks to first tri hormone spots- so I need all the help I can get!
I did a little digging online around COQ10 and found some forum threads on here where people were talking about a book called the sperm meets egg plan and apparently this recommend the bio version of COQ10 which is more soluble/easier to absorb called Ubiquinol. The book apparently recommends starting dose of 100mg for anyone who doesn't have a specific diagnosis for infertility. So I've just dropped another £20 on some from amazon... I am not going to tell DH I've spent £45 on tablets today Grin. I'll let you all know how I get on with it. Ubiquinol is naturally occurring in the body's cells so that's made me feel bolder about trying it.
The conceive plus fertility support doesn't contain COQ10 only the ovulation one does so I figure I can take both supplements alongside each other. I'll report back on how I find it!

Carol1980 · 25/03/2021 20:16

@Makingnumber2 I'm pretty sure I was actually searching for the q10 stuff when the concieve plus vitimin came up x I think Holland and barret do them and I'm sure you will be able to find them online no problem x

Here's hoping I'm not just a snake oil salesman and it does actually help x

So far I've tried the pregnacare, seven seas trying for a baby and now the concieve plus !! If anything my skin looks better !!

Oilyoilyoilgob · 25/03/2021 20:14

@Carol1980 thanks so much for the pics 😊 can I please ask the brand name for these? Might get some after I’ve used up my pregnacare (although I got them on 3 for 2 from vitabiotics and still have two boxes to get through!)

For anyone taking pregnacare Pre conception from vitabiotics, if you hopefully do get a bfp it says it’s safe to keep taking it through pregnancy until you run out xx

Makingnumber2 · 25/03/2021 17:48

Oh bum- maybe I should have ordered the ovulation support one then... I will give the fertility support one a try and maybe see if there's a separate q10 that can be bought to take in addition.
