@Remembermee It's very possible that because you started TTC, you notice more about what's happening in your body. I know that's what happened to me, every twinge, every sensation scrutinised.
You're still quite a bit away from AF, nothing will have happened yet, so try to distract yourself with something!
The first 2WW is the worst -not that it gets much easier… 😂
@Makingnumber2 Last time I had booked a scan and my midwife booking appointment and had to cancel both. 😞 I try to stay optimistic but realistic too.
Let's hope we all get our sticky beans! ❤️
I only have one CB digital with weeks left, which I'm saving for the weekend, hoping to see 3+ 🤞🏼 so I'm doing OPKs to put my mind at ease. The test line is almost black!! 🤣😂🤣
Wow @eloiseislost I’ve never seen a line that black 🤣🤣.
Also I note you can’t seem to stop peeing on things 🤣🤣Wink.

Doing first insemination of this month this evening 💪🏻.

Just a quick update on me. I ovulated last week - not sure when. On the Ov kit I got a high on the Sunday and Monday and didn't test again until Thursday which was peak. We SI Sun, Mon, Weds and Fri.
I know i ovulated as I got cramps which often happens for me. But they've not gone - they're not there constantly though. Since then I've still had the cramps/twinges and a "heaviness" which feels like I'm on AF. When I'm not thinking about it I feel that feeling I get when AF is here and I don't want to move about as much due to any cramps that may come or that feeling of it coming out of me.
This is the first time we have ttc so I have no idea if I'm just being more aware of things that I hadn't noticed before.
I took a preg test as I bought about 45 of them a few years ago and they are now out of date at the end of this month so thought I'd better use them up. Obv is was negative.
(reason I bought so many when not trying was simply because I was paranoid but then after realising you had to do the test first thing in the morning I could never be bothered!)
AF due 12th Feb.

It's just so convenient isn't it?? I know I should be supporting the mega wealth of Bezos but in a lockdown I don't see any other alternative really.

I can understand why you feel the fear so much after what you've been through- I hope that once you hit 6+1 and can book an early scan in, the scan will give you the reassurance you need and then you can begin to enjoy it all a bit more. It must be really tiring feeling on tenterhooks all the time- I feel an element of that now and haven't had the horrible experiences you have so I can't imagine what it's like for you. Will be keeping everything crossed for everyone currently with a BFP that these are sticky little beans.

eloiseislost · 03/02/2021 15:13

@Makingnumber2 I don't know what I'd do without Amazon Prime -I'm on first name basis with all the drivers in the area! 😁
Some women get stronger lines in the evening, I think it's to do with when and how your hormone levels rise.
Sounds like you have a good plan, I have everything crossed for you! 🤞🏼💕
I'm very happy that I am pregnant again but the fear hasn't gone away and I don't think it ever will to be honest. 😔 But I take it one step at a time and see how it goes! When I get over the date of the previous miscarriage (6+1) I'll register with the EPU and maybe book an early scan but I don't even want to think about these things now. 😬

Makingnumber2 · 03/02/2021 15:05

Hi @eloiseislost I just had a quick look at EPU website and their phoneline for self referral is only open 9-11am so I've just ordered it direct on amazon. Thank goodness for amazon prime! I'm not feeling super excited yet because my lines this morning weren't as strong as I thought they might be and I can't shake the possibility of a chemical from my mind. My afternoon line from yesterday is my strongest so far which seems odd it would be stronger than yesterday or today's FMU but my ovulation lines were always darkest in evening so perhaps it's just how my body works? If the lines start to get darker and no sign of AF still I am going to tell DH next Sunday as it's Valentine's day and feels like a good day to share the news.

How are you doing emotionally- have you felt able to relax and enjoy the BFP yet? Or are you still trying not to get too invested just yet?

eloiseislost · 03/02/2021 14:52

@Makingnumber2 Is there any chance you can call your local EPU directly and register with them? They'll be able to advise about all pregnancy-related matters and possibly give you a prescription.
I wouldn't take 12 standard tablets to be honest with you!!
If it will put your mind at ease, order the 5mg tablets from Amazon but keep your phone appointment with your GP on Monday. It's always best to let the GP know about these things anyway and they may have more advice for you. 🙂
Are you feeling excited yet? 😃💕

OP posts:
Makingnumber2 · 03/02/2021 14:05

So because my BMI is over 30- literally by 0.1 but still- I need to take 5mg folic acid. I thought that was just a double dose of standard folic acid tablets but I've done the figures and it's 12 times the amount! My folic acid tablets are 400iug and according to google convert there's 12x 400iug in 5mg.
I contacted the GP via website form to say I need a prescription for 5mg and they won't write me a script without a consultation (fair enough I suppose) but they can't get anyone to phone until Mon. What do you think I should do- take 12 standard tablets a day until then or buy them off amazon and cancel the appointment? I'm anxious it could make a big difference in whether the bean sticks...

@Remembermee 6 weeks plus 5 days
**@eloiseislost* @Makingnumber2* I am 6 plus 5 now and have a lot of symptoms. They started last week. This week has been killing me - constantly nauseous, a lot of breast pain (my breasts are super swollen too) and headaches. Two more days until my first scan. Feel very nervous- have your fingers crossed for me!
What does 6 plus 5 mean?

Makingnumber2 · 03/02/2021 09:58

@AdriannaP totally understandable you would be feeling so worried after your previous experiences. It is definitely a great sign you've made it this far already and wonderful that DH can go too and help keep you calm. I will be thinking of you Friday and keeping everything crossed everything looks good on the scan.

AdriannaP · 03/02/2021 09:45

@Makingnumber2 I am very nervous about the scans, my last two scans didn’t go well as I was already mid miscarriage. I have never made it this far apart from my first pregnancy (I have one DD who is 5), so hoping that’s a good sign.
I am also very relieved my DH is allowed to come. He will help me stay calm.

Bluey18 · 03/02/2021 09:44

@AdriannaP Best of luck on Fri, I will be thinking of you xx

I agree that you don't always get many earlier symptoms, I had literally nothing with my DD until 7 weeks apart from fatigue, that was it.

Bluey18 · 03/02/2021 09:41

@MrsKin90 That is wonderful news that you are being referred for tests and I am glad your GP was compassionate. As they should be but sadly aren't always!

AF came last night so on to the next cycle for me. Ladies, can I ask your advice. I wanted to try softdiscs but I don't live in the UK and can't get them here. I checked to see if I can get them imported and it was £££££ and also a wait time of 8 weeks and I am nowhere near patient enough for that. There's very little choice here, all I've found is generic type cups (like mooncup shape ones) and ferti-lilly. Which do you think would be best to go for?

eloiseislost · 03/02/2021 09:36

@AdriannaP I have everything crossed for you! 🤞🏼 🤞🏼 🤞🏼 ❤️

Makingnumber2 · 03/02/2021 09:31

@Adrianna it's great you are now having symptoms- even if they're a bit miserable and I bet you are pleased it's only 2 days now til the scan. How are you feeling about the scan?

AdriannaP · 03/02/2021 09:21

@eloiseislost @Makingnumber2 I am 6 plus 5 now and have a lot of symptoms. They started last week. This week has been killing me - constantly nauseous, a lot of breast pain (my breasts are super swollen too) and headaches. Two more days until my first scan. Makingnumber2 · 03/02/2021 07:44

Thanks @Bizawit 😊 and what great news about your ovarian reserve! Wishing you lots of luck for this cycle of SI and also will keep fingers crossed that the rest of your test results deliver similarly good news 🤞🏻
@eloiseislost try not to worry too much about symptoms- although I know what you mean about the general image of early pregnancy is women with symptoms from really early on! Sore boobs was my only early symptoms with DD1 until week 7 when sickness started and this morning my one sore boob isn’t even feeling that sore. I’m trying not to read anything into it. I think symptomless early pregnancy is the norm and people just don’t talk about it.
Hope everyone else is doing well today- I’m hoping for some sunshine so I can get out for a stomp about and some fresh air ☀️

eloiseislost · 02/02/2021 20:16

@Bizawit Aw thanks! That makes me feel a bit better! 🙂 Most websites including the NHS say that symptoms start between 5-7 weeks but then I read about women who get ALL the symptoms from something like 3DPO! 🤣
Have you had a practice run with the soft discs yet?

OP posts:
Bizawit · 02/02/2021 20:13

Ahhh 2-3 weeks on a digital at 4+3 is perfect 👌🏻.
Do not worry at all about symptoms- at that stage with my pregnancy with DD I didn’t have any symptoms at all. I don’t think symptoms really kicked in until maybe 7-8 weeks? 🤔 I think that’s when the nausea started for real at least.
Xx

eloiseislost · 02/02/2021 18:58

I'm OK @Bizawit, thank you for asking! 🙂
I am 4+3 today so still very early days. Got 2-3 weeks on CB digital on Sunday (4+1) so that makes me feel a bit hopeful, as with my previous pregnancy the lines were veeeeery slow to progress right from the beginning. This time I actually took apart the digital tests just to see the lines for myself! 🤦🏻‍♀️
Not too many symptoms yet, which puts me back to worrying… My boobs have doubled in size (easy to do, they were tiny before 🤣) but are not sore, some vague nausea occasionally and getting tired more easily. Also there's more saliva in my mouth, I occasionally almost choke on it when I'm lying down! 😑
And this concluded my TMI report for you, with love! ❤️ 🤣🤣🤣

Bizawit · 02/02/2021 18:44

Thank you @eloiseislost ❤️. How are you feeling? Have you got any symptoms yet?

eloiseislost · 02/02/2021 18:26

@Bizawit Good news about your tests, I have my fingers crossed you get even better news when the full analysis is back! 🙂 So far you know everything looks OK and you're about to ovulate so get right on it!! 😆 Wishing you the best of luck!
