@bigsweetpotato I'm so sorry 😞 my heart absolutely breaks for you. Life can be unbelievably cruel X

@bitheby welcome back! You're half way through your TWW so not long to go now. This is the worst section of the tww but also the best as it can all go either way so equally exciting and mind-consuming. try to do lots of things to distract yourself as that'll make the days go faster if you can! Goodluck x

Makingnumber2 · 10/02/2021 07:28

Hi @bitheby I think some of the words you used in your post- not a criticism at all, but just explaining why I also got the impression you may be a bit anxious about it all- implied a level of worry/anxiety. e.g. 'been really tearful' 'massively obsessing' and 'concerned'.
If you're not actually worried and anxious then that's great! And if you are then trust me there's no judgement or criticism about it from any of us here- I've got an anxiety disorder so am certainly in no place to judge! Everybody feels worried and anxious about things during life to a certain extent- it's normal. Obviously for some people (like me) it can sometimes cross over the boundary of what's considered healthy. Hope you're feeling ok today.

Makingnumber2 · 10/02/2021 07:23

@bigsweetpotato thinking of you this morning Flowers.

eloiseislost · 09/02/2021 22:41

@bitheby I don't think anyone said you are overly anxious -who can say what is the "right amount" of anxiety anyway? 🤷🏻‍♀️ It sounded like you are as anxious as can be expected while TTC with a donor during a global pandemic! I understand why travelling to your donor was risky under lockdown, but you didn't get caught and you stayed safe, which is good.

bitheby · 09/02/2021 22:25

I don't know how everyone picked up on me being overanxious from what I posted? I'm autistic so perhaps it's just the way I communicate?

The police in Wales are plastering the ridiculous things they're pulling people over and fining them for on social media and I had to drive for several hours so it wasn't unreasonable to be worried about that. Travelling to a sperm donor is not considered essential travel.

I'm so sorry @bigsweetpotato. I hope you're able to try again really soon.

bigsweetpotato · 09/02/2021 22:16

Thanks all for your kind words. I think I honestly wasn't mentally prepared for an MC even though I know they're unfortunately common before 12 wks. It just felt like a miracle to finally conceive and my body was showing me all the right symptoms at the right time. I couldn't help but get excited. I think I would have handled it better if I'd started bleeding or had pain - something to indicate that something might not be right 😥 On Sunday after I'd cried all weekend I started getting irrational and wondering if I'd imagined those two lines because I'd wanted it so much (even though I've done about 10 tests to make sure)! I just hope my body can right itself soon whether naturally or not so that we can try again. I'll let you know what happens after my second bloods. xxx

Bluey18 · 09/02/2021 21:41

@bigsweetpotato I am so very sorry for your loss. I've been there and it is horrendous. Please take care of yourself, we are all here for you. Sending gentle hugs Flowers

@bigsweetpotato that’s sounds so upsetting and traumatic, I’m ever so sorry this is happening. We are all here whenever you want to chat/cry.
Oh that’s horrible for you 😔
Sending you strength and lots of love for now and beyond xx

Makingnumber2 · 09/02/2021 20:07

Hi @bitheby and welcome! I wouldn’t worry too much about breaking lockdown to meet your donor- in my mind that’s no different to someone going to a clinic for insemination at this time. It is a really anxious time the TWW. Try to remind yourself that worrying won’t change the outcome either way and what will be will be. It must be hard as you’ve had 2 chemicals but just because it happened before doesn’t mean it will happen again. Try to do some meditation and mindfulness, get some light exercise in and take some deep and slow belly breaths every time you start to feel anxious. Keep us updated on how you get on.

Makingnumber2 · 09/02/2021 20:05

Oh @bigsweetpotato I’m so so sorry. This is so unfair and cruel and devastating for you. Sending hugs and love your way. I hope you can get some definitive answers from the hcg testing tomorrow. Take care of yourself and do whatever you need to get through this horrible time 💕💕

Bizawit · 09/02/2021 20:04

@bigsweetpotato so so sorry to hear you are going through this 💔 . Please know that we are all here for you and lots of us (myself included) have been through this loss ❤️❤️❤️. Sending you so much love and strength xxxx

@bigsweetpotato

Hi ladies. How are you all? It's been a bit of an eventful weekend and I'm devastated to report that I think that I have an missed MC. Went for an early private scan on Saturday for peace of mind at what I thought was just over 8 weeks and unfortunately they did not find any pregnancy on the scan. Went home and cried for the rest of the weekend :( Got referred to the EPU and spent yesterday afternoon at the hospital, had another scan that was the same - couldn't see anything other than a thickened womb and maybe sac and had a blood test to check my HCG levels. The diagnosis was Pregnancy of unknown location and the main risk is that it could be ectopic. But I've had no pain, no bleeding or anything to suggest that something was wrong. Our bodies can be bloody cruel (and dumb).... Blood test result was 99000 so going back tomorrow for the second blood test to see if it's gone up or down or whatever. Very slowly coming to terms with it but it has been a shock. :(
I am so so sorry to read this @bigsweetpotato 😔! It sounds really traumatic and devastating, this past weekend. Life is cruel 💔 and I’m so sorry you are going through this. It’s not fair at all. Sending you a big virtual cuddle & lots of love your way xx
eloiseislost · 09/02/2021 19:43

@bitheby The wait is very frustrating, but you're almost there and you will know either way soon. It sounds like you are very anxious, and that's understandable. From experience, you need to find ways to cope with anxiety during TTC and during your pregnancy. Even parenting brings its own set of never-ending anxieties! I know it's hard to concentrate on anything else but for the sake of your health and your future bub 💓 you need to try and find distractions. 🙂
Wishing you a good outcome this cycle! 🤞🏼 🌈

I've been lurking. I did post on the thread a while ago. I'm TTC with a donor and so lockdown has made me things really difficult. I broke the law to meet the donor this cycle and I'm currently 7dpo.

I've been really tearful the last two days and I'm having cramps and pulling. I'm massively obsessing about conceiving or not conceiving and can't focus on much else. Desperate to know. And obviously hoping for a good outcome. But even with a BFP, I will be concerned as I had two chemicals last year.

eloiseislost · 09/02/2021 18:42

@Bizawit I doubt treatment for yeast infection will affect implantation. It's always best to speak to your GP of course, but there are some home remedies you could try: www.healthline.com/health/womens-health/yeast-infection-home-remedy. As @ComebackQueen said, probiotics are good for you anyway and they help with yeast infections. Greek yogurt with love cultures is a natural source of probiotics but you might want to go for high strength supplements if it's persistent.
Just remember: eat the Greek yogurt, don't put it up your vagina!! I learned that the hard way when I was 19 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂

MrsKin90 · 09/02/2021 16:13

@ComebackQueen that's interesting to know!!

@Bizawit I've never had a yeast infection. Do they continue and get worse if you don't treat them or can they eventually go on their own?

ComebackQueen · 09/02/2021 15:06

@Bizawit take a probiotic, I did read yeast infections may hinder implantation but antidotal evidence suggests probiotic supplements not only show positive with implantation but also helps potentially reduce early/chemical miscarriages.

Bizawit · 09/02/2021 14:54

@MrsKin90 and @Oilyoilyoilgob thank you!!

I think the SI went ok. I mainly used the discs. Did one syringe on day of ovulation (I think) and actually did a better job that usual (higher volume/ fewer air bubbles) I think because I left longer than usual for it too “liquify”.

I’m feeling ok, trying to distract myself. Only issue is- sorry if this is TMI! - but I seem to have a yeast infection (I tend to be susceptible) do you guys think this could affect implantation? Should I take anything or just leave it 😨?

MrsKin90 · 09/02/2021 14:54

@Bizawit I didn't even read your entire reply 😂 sorry. I've got my head up my butt today I think.
My fertile week is usually around CD16-25 or something so a little while yet. I'm not even sure any more. I'm gonna start SI on Sunday just because it's valentine's day, not because I'll actually be fertile! Hoping for accidental early ovulation (is that too much to ask?!).

@Oilyoilyoilgob 🤣 welcome to the Prominent Pubic Bone Club? I think... 😁 I use a menstrual cup for periods. It's an Athena cup and I absolutely love it. It feels so much cleaner and easier and helps my cramps and better for the environment... I could twattle on for hours about why they're so great for periods so definitely give them a go 😊

Oilyoilyoilgob · 09/02/2021 14:35

Ooh @Bizawit best of luck for you for a sticky bean xx

Oilyoilyoilgob · 09/02/2021 14:34

Hahaha @MrsKin90 chuff entrance, I’m sniggering to myself here 😂 I’m with you a very prominent pubic bone (at least I think, I guess I’ve never had to hide a ufo behind it!) but I’ve now broke off from making my bed to feel my pubic bone near my chuff. I’m fully clothed btw 😅🤭

They seem really good for periods too, I’d also bought a moon cup prior to soft discs which I haven’t tried for periods yet but I think I’ll definitely try them for if/when a period comes. I’m not comfortable in tampons and pads make my skin a bit sore and I hate feeling like I’m wearing a nappy. Who knew tcc would open up all these options!

Not long for you for ovulation, it’s seems quite a few of us are in similar ttc time zones.

If anyone is in their tww I’m sending my best wishes for a positive result 🤞🏻🍀 xx

MrsKin90 · 09/02/2021 14:33

@Bizawit ah sorry I missed that! Hooray 4dpo 😊 fingers crossed for you! How are you feeling? How did SI go for you? Sorry if I missed it. This is me being too lazy to go further back than the top of this page 😇

Bizawit · 09/02/2021 14:27
@Oilyoilyoilgob the word "chuff" is absolutely hilarious. 😂 I'm glad you didn't get a UFO stuck up there, although the people in A&E could probably do with a giggle! My pubic bone seems to sit very far forward compared to diagrams and I can feel the cup right at my chuff entrance (🤣) but it stayed in well enough for SI last cycle. I hope it feels a bit easier when you actually use it 😊

It's only CD7 for me! Feels like CD40 if I'm honest! Roll on fertile week! ❤️

Is anyone still in their tww? We didn't miss anyone did we? 🧐 I assume everyone is waiting for O.
Aw @MrsKin90 when does your fw usually start?

I’m in 2ww- 4dpo for me 🥳
