@ComebackQueen yeah that sounds similar to mine. Phoned the docs, they gave me the no for the midwife I left a message on their answering machine and they phoned me back. Had a chat with my midwife around 6/7 weeks in, then actually went in to see her around week 8/9 for measurements and bloods. Got my 12w scan letter then around week 10. I know every area is different, but mine work on a "no news is good news" thing, so they're just sorta letting me get on with it unless I need them. Quite odd, but then I hate fuss, so I also quite like it that way.

Aww yes, it does sound like your dad will be looking over your little one, especially after such a vivid and lovely dream about him x

He is also happy that is SA which basically said he was firing blanks has been proven wrong so he is very happy .

I’ve also called my surgery who said the GP doesn’t need to see you to confirm a pregnant. Instead they’ve given me a number to self refer to a midwife.

I have no clue what happens next, I would ask my mother or sisters but I don’t want to announce until 12 weeks.

I did read that a midwife won’t actually see me until I am 8 weeks so I have to sit and wait it out?

I’m definitely of the belief my dad will watch over this little bean. However, I might just pay for an early scan, so by my awful calculations I am due November and I can’t get a scan until the Wednesday after Easter to ensure it’s six weeks.

@Birchybirch eek! I had this last sept with my bfp. I’m really really scared as I have some twinges this morning but I’ve got it in my head that I might be pregnant. If I start my period I’m just going to be really upset ☹️

@oilyoilyoilgob I don't want to get your hopes up too much, but I had so many vivid dreams in the days leading from conception, until about a week after my bfp, so you never know....!

Oh @ComebackQueen what an amazing dream- that has given be goosebumps. I think your father will be watching over this bean to make sure it sticks. Sending you a huge virtual hug and it's totally normal to feel a mix of fear/excitement/anxiety etc. xxx

My period isn’t due until Wednesday based on my usual ‘pattern’ but acupuncture made me ovulate early this month based on my OPK.

Tbh I tested because I saw my late Father in my dream waving and looked so happy (he looked like how he did when my sister gave birth to his first grandchild), weirdly, after that I woke up and took myself to Boots and that happened.

Just cried a bit and now hoping this sticks, feel scared and excited.

I pray all you lovely ladies get your BFPs soon.

@Oilyoilyoilgob I'm right there will you with the weird symptoms, I had horrible dreams last night, my boobs are killing me and I just feel pregnant. Only 8dpo, too early to test. I'm gonna be gutted if this isn't my month!

@Oilyoilyoilgob hope you managed to get back to sleep?? Your symptoms sound very promising... hope your boobs are in a kinder bra today and DH isn't pestering you too much with symptom watch questions!

@eloiseislost I am sure your mum didn't mean to upset you - like Oily said it was likely just first thing that came into her head. It's the sort of thing my mum would say tbh- she used to be overweight but then shrunk down to a miniscule size 8 when me and my sister were mid way through primary school and me and my fatness are one of the biggest banes of her life . I was mildly surprised when I told her about the current situation that she didn't try and blame it on my weight. She's got form for making similar comments at other low points in my life- like when my first ever proper boyfriend ditched me after 2 years and she said: Well you have gained a lot of weight since you first got together . I'm not still bitter about that

@eloiseislost oh no, bless you! You know it honestly doesn’t make her sound terrible, she just said what she thought at that second probably not thinking how that sounds to a pregnant lady who is feeling bloated and sick! I hope the tears have gone now, and don’t worry about feeling weight gain, right now if you can keep some food down to give a bit of nourishment that’s the most important thing 💚

Oh today about five times “any more symptoms”? he’s asking, I only wanted sympathy about my sore boobs during the walk 😅 Didn’t have the best bra on (is it just me that needs an urgent bra update?!) so they just felt a bit jiggly and sore. Bet I’ll get asked loads of times so I’ll have to count to ten so I don’t bark at him ha! One app says I’m due 3rd, the other the 4th. If I’m not pregnant I’ll have to figure out what’s going on with my very unhappy breasts 😁

Do not worry about what your mum said, sometimes people are well meaning but just don’t think. It’s your body and you know the best for yourself 😊 big hug xx

@eloiseislost get that bikini on, you have a very valid reason for feeling bloated 🥰 oh that’s a shame about the nausea but hopefully it will ease soon. Good excuse for those lovely white carbs! I’m so happy for you about today, such good news about little bean.

The walk was lovely thank you, gorgeous views and sunshine but I’ve been absolutely freezing (I’m a coldarse 🙈) so I had a huge jacket and scarf on and some people were in shorts and t shirts, cannot imagine being a warm person ha!
My boobs are still absolutely killing me at the lightest touch. Told my husband my symptoms and now he’s on symptom watch, I’ve said not to get hopes up but I just didn’t want to suffer in silence 😄 Xx

@eloiseislost So delighted to hear your scan went well! How lovely 🥰. Try not to worry too much about the dates, I was in and out to EPU and had multiple early scans with my DD due to complications and it would regularly change by 3 or 4 days! She's 2 and a half now!

I hope the time flies by for the next scan!

@eloiseislost yeah I'm not too shabby thanks. Just about to have a drive out to find the private scan place for tue - I'm heading out in my "dinner hour" (although it's not monitored, so I can take longer, as long as I get my work done), so we need to really be there and back as quick as possible. Got the mhs one on Wed, and got the afternoon off. Dh joked the other day about going out for a nice meal afterwards, and I forgot foe a minute that we were in lockdown, so was really looking forward to it. Ah well, might have to make do with a subway or mcdonald's!

I know what you mean about wanting to be hooked up to an ultrasound 24/7!id love to for both reassuring, and also just general intrigue to watch them change and grow. The app I'm using is cool, but I just can't picture it inside me... X
