Post Pill Party - The Mosh Pit !!

Kay00 · 16/01/2021 20:33

As the Post Pill Party fills up, the lights are dimmed and the music drops a beat. The lead singer of this rambunctious band shouts: Mosh Pit!! The ravers all storm for the small space in front of the stage allowing their bodies to dance to the beat however the f* they want!! You go ladies!!

This is the 7th post pill party thread for women whose bodies aren’t quite dancing to the expected rhythm: we have delayed ovulation, crazy long follicular phases, crazy short follicular phases, light AFs, short luteal phases, long luteal phases, confusing temp charts and blindingly white OPKs!

In the crowd I can see:

@MintGreenLife I'm good thank you, got a BFP a week ago but being cautious, just sitting tight and hoping for a progression to 3+ on the CB this week before self referring to midwife X

@TheHotelCalifornia I’m so sorry. Such awful news. Hope you’re doing ok as can be xxx

@MintGreenLife great news about the scan and the house! The bleeding with the polyp sounds nerve wracking but so glad it wasn’t to do with the pregnancy.

Kay00 · 31/01/2021 00:24

TheDaydreamBelievers · 30/01/2021 20:36

@MintGreenLife took 8 weeks after surgery to get a BFN and 1 week more for AF but finally CD8 today. So we are putting all we can towards this cycle and giving it our best shot

MintGreenLife · 30/01/2021 20:31

@TheDaydreamBelievers thank you ☺️ How are you getting on? Have you got your cycle back yet? Am keeping everything crossed for you x

TheDaydreamBelievers · 30/01/2021 20:30

@MintGreenLife glad to hear you are doing well Smile

@DLC05 I ended up at 141 days. At 3 months they agreed to do bloods to check hormone and androgen levels and all the usual suspects - thyroid, blood sugars etc. Ultimately they didnt spot much- my prolactin was a bit too high (its raised up by the pill) and was likely suppressing ovulation but not high enough that medics were interested in any intervention.

MintGreenLife · 30/01/2021 20:05

@Juno231 ah I’m glad it’s not just me! Kind of annoying as I worry about missing messages and looking like I’m being rude 🤦🏻‍♀️

Thanks so much, I’m so glad to get it out the way, it all for very stressful trying to get it through towards the end, especially as our buyers were really putting the pressure on. Re the polyp I’m not sure to be honest. It’s right at the entrance to my cervix. I do remember feeling a tiny lump when I was checking my cervix, but it seemed to come and go so was never too worried about it. I’ve looked into it and seems pregnancy hormones can make them grow quickly and they are common in pregnancy, so if it was there before it must have been tiny and never caused me any trouble. Did I read something about you having a cyst recently?

Ah sorry to hear the renovations are dragging a bit. This bit can feel like it goes on forever, especially when you’re itching to get started! Hope things pick up for you and you get a builder on the job sooner rather than later.

You’ll have to let me know how you get on on Monday. Really hope you get some answers and any help you might need x

Juno231 · 30/01/2021 19:48

@MintGreenLife I haven't been getting the notifications since Dec now and constantly worry there are people out there asking for my help on bbt charts 😅.

Congrats on the house move! Glad you got that sorted before you get too big and tired to deal with any of it. So happy for you that the scan went well! I can't even imagine how terrible your visit to the EPU must've been :/ also very random re the polyp, reckon that's new or that it's been there a while?

Renos arent really happening tbh - we're still faffing with the architect atm. It should take another 2 weeks before we can even start the surveys... I'm worried that once they're done and we start asking builders for quotes they might not be available for another 6 months if we're unlucky!

Appointment is on Monday, not holding my breath though 😅

MintGreenLife · 30/01/2021 19:19

@AMS19 @TheHotelCalifornia also just wanted to say I think of you both often xx

MintGreenLife · 30/01/2021 19:10

@Juno231 oh I also finally moved house on Monday too! How are things going with your renovations?

MintGreenLife · 30/01/2021 19:08

@Juno231 hey ☺️ I just saw you tagged me yesterday after trawling back over posts to see what’s going on with everyone! I still stalk this thread every few days 😂 for some reason I don’t get email notifications when someone tags me anymore!

I’m 14 weeks now, had my 12 week scan last Friday and all was looking good. I did have a scare at 10’weeks though. After 3 days of spotting I ended up in EPU, but thankfully the bleeding wasn’t anything to do with the pregnancy. I had an internal examination and it turned out I had a polyp on my cervix. I’ve since seen a specialist about it and it’s been decided to leave it until after baby is born. I was very anxious after all of that, but now I’ve had my 12 week scan am feeling much calmer.

How are you getting on? Mustn’t be too long until your appointment now? Xx

ChinChilly · 30/01/2021 18:52

@DLC05 hi 🙋🏼‍♀️ I can’t help I’m afraid, my periods came back straight away, I think the only thing you can do is give it time. I think the NHS say it can take upto 3 months for your periods to come back.

@AMS19 it must be so wierd wishing for a BFN 😞

AMS19 · 30/01/2021 18:49

@Juno231 really really hoping by the end of next week. The FRER has gone down quite a bit in the last 6 days so hopefully another 6 days and it will be BFN. I honestly cannot wait to stop bloody testing for a negative, it's so depressing!

DLC05 · 30/01/2021 18:48

Hi! I’m new here, but have spent the last few days reading through all the old threads. I was so pleased to read some of the good news and also very sorry to have read some of the sadder news. It’s strange how invested I’ve become and feel like I’ve followed your journeys.
I’m looking for some advice... I came off the pill at the end of November 2020 and so far... nothing. No period, no sign of ovulation (despite trying to track) and unsurprisingly many BFNs. Any tips on what helped with getting cycles back on track? I naively thought all would be ‘fine’ as my periods were regular and non problematic before (although it was 12 years ago). I’ve seen some very long cycles on here, but at CD 79 I feel like I’m swiftly moving up the list!
Thank you!

Robyn101 · 30/01/2021 17:28

I’m sorry to hear it’s taking a while @AMS19 and also to hear your news @TheHotelCalifornia . So glad you can support each other through this it must be reassuring to have someone else in a similar situation ❤️

MissC07 · 30/01/2021 16:22

@TheHotelCalifornia I'm so sorry, I hope you are taking the time you need to rest and look after yourself 🤍

Juno231 · 30/01/2021 16:05

@TheHotelCalifornia oh no I am so sorry it happened to you as well :( I really hope you take good care of yourself and we'll be here for you when you want to join us again ❤️

@AMS19 I'm sorry it's dragging for you! Hopefully in the next few days the tests will show you're in the all clear?

AMS19 · 30/01/2021 14:23

Proud of you @TheHotelCalifornia

ChinChilly · 30/01/2021 14:16

@TheHotelCalifornia I’m sorry sorry, I hope you aswell as can be ❤️

TheHotelCalifornia · 30/01/2021 13:44

Hey @Juno231 thank you so much for thinking of me that’s so sweet of you.

I’m sorry to have to tell you that I had a miscarriage. It was absolutely awful and I honestly wasn't sure if I'd ever feel happy again but I’m doing much better now and am getting lots of support from all the lovely ladies on the thread @AMS19 started. Currently waiting for my BFN and then I will come back and join you all and hopefully we’ll be lucky soon. Sending love to all you girls trying for your BFPs and hope we have lots of positive news in the coming weeks and months. So thankful for everyone’s support on here xxxxxx
