I’ve been on b6 post ovulation and it’s giving me sore boobs off and on, so hopefully that means increased progesterone. Just not sure when to expect AF really in case it extends my LP.

Yeah @mollyaimee that's probably too soon I think it's always 12 DPO earliest recommended for testing. Hopefully it's a good sign!

@2020mission I mean that would be the dream!! Haha of course I’ve done a couple of tests so far and they’ve been negative so I’m presuming not but would potentially only be max 9DPO today?!

@mollyaimee I've heard high OPK readings happen if you're pregnant... any chance?? 🤞

I have to say, I’ve noticed something strange the past couple of days. If my cycle is usual length, I’m due on AF around Saturday next week. However, I’ve been getting period like pains for the past couple of days on and off - not really cramps but just that abdominal feeling that your period is coming, however I’ve been getting dark OPK second lines since cycle day 21 and I’m now cd 25? I very rarely get a dark line for more than a day so this is unusual for me! It’s not positive, but way darker than it normally is? Is this another one of those tricks that our bodies play on us?😩

@mollyaimee 2023 is ages away and it’s hard so try not to worry about that too much yet. The odds are in your favour. I’m impatient too, and wishing I’d started trying earlier but that can’t be helped now

I don’t expect it’ll be that positive but I would settle for my normal PMS symptoms and periods going back to what they were. They’ve been so light I’m assuming my hormones have caused that. So if it gets a bit more normal for me again that would be a good start. Going back to acupuncture next weekend actually, just realised it’s coming round again.

@thislittlebird I know, I need to keep reminding myself that we’re only on cycle 3 and it will eventually happen for us one day - I think I’m just coming to terms with the fact it doesn’t necessarily happen straight away - also doesn’t help that I am the most impatient person ever!! We’re also getting married in June 2023 and we would love to have a baby before the wedding so I think that’s playing in the back of my mind too!!

That’s interesting about the acupuncture - keep us updated on how it goes - never know, this could be the cycle?! If not, hopefully AF comes soon so you can start on the next cycle 🤞🏼

Try not to get too down @mollyaimee, it’s really early days and it can take a long time for some people. You’re younger than me I think, so you have time to try and eventually it’ll happen.

I guess you’ll find out when you ovulated roughly when AF comes, when would that be due? It’s likely you are ovulating if they’re going darker but they’re not perfect so just do what you’re doing and keep trying every other day.

It’s hard to say whether the acupuncture was useful, but my hormones seem a lot more chilled this month so far. I’m 10dpo and I’m not having crazy PMS symptoms and new pains etc that I haven’t had before, which is good I think because my symptoms and lead up to AF had been a rollercoaster for the last few months. It’s been a really calm tww in terms of bodily things going on, nothing happening at all. So either the acupuncture helped, or the supplements helped, or both?

If it’s not those things then maybe I didn’t ovulate and I’ll get a crazy long cycle . Hopefully not though, I got all the signs that I ovulated just a bit earlier at day 14. Fingers crossed whatever I’ve been doing has kicked my hormones into shape again.

@thislittlebird how are you getting on? Did you find acupuncture was useful at all?

@thislittlebird if I’m honest, I feel a bit strange this cycle. I’ve got into the mindset that I’m never going to be pregnant so that’s interesting aha and my OPKs were super faint between day 14-17 (my app predicted I would ovulate day 16/17) but then I randomly got a fairly dark second line on OPK day 22... so now I’m not sure if I did ovulate around the 16/17 and I just missed it as I was only testing once a day or if I ovulated late? Think I said about that in a post previously - but also using those crappy green OPKs that I don’t like!! We’re still DTD as we normally would every day or every other day but I’m really not even sure if I’m ovulating at all so feel a bit in limbo to be honest?! Not sure whether I’m like 7DPO, 2DPO or whether I’ve even ovulated so I’m going to give it until next weekend and if no sign of AF, I’ll test but really thinking it’s highly unlikely this cycle! Gosh this process really can play tricks with your mind can’t it!😩

I would assume so @mollyaimee, but I really am no expert with those OPKs because they never went very dark for me. If so you’ll probably just have a longer cycle this month, which is a pain but not unusual.

Yeah @Aims1991 you won’t even potentially implant until 6dpo so it’s probably just your hormones, unless you got you ovulation date slightly off?

Ladies I need some advice!! I had pretty much given hope that I’d ovulate this month since I was getting these OPK’s around my predicted ov date (see picture). I’m on cycle day 21 and took this OPK just for the sake of it and for me that is a pretty much positive OPK (they never turn out that dark for me on any brand). Have I just ovulated super late?

So I'm now 4dpo and AF due Tuesday. Normally by now I have loads of little cramps but I've had nothing so far. Maybe a longer cycle who knows. But hoping for a BFP I'm resisting the urge to test but I know it will be pointless 🙈

@2020mission Hey, I normally have 27/28 day cycles so I just thought it was late but I've no idea🤷🏻‍♀️

@thislittlebird I was going to call the GP once we tried for 12 cycles but my husband never seemed keen and said we should just keep trying. Now that it’s 15 cycles (and 14 months) I’m not waiting any longer! AF still isn’t here but due anytime so as soon as it happens I’m phoning 😅

Welcome @Aims1991 👋 how long are your cycles when you ovulate on CD 18? It’s only 4 days after the average CD 14. It should be fine if your luteal phase is long enough. I’m the opposite and seem to ovulate a bit early at CD 11 most months. I’d prefer a little later as there’s more time for the egg to mature!

Hey hope I can join in. Been a bit emotional last month or so! Been tracking Ovulation and seem to ovulate on cd18 this month and AF due a week later so I'm worried I ovulate too late! So I'm now 2dpo and I'm just so overthinking that it's not worked this month! Fingers crossed for some baby dust magic🤞🏼

Yeah maybe just give yourself a break from OPKs because they’re just stressful when they’re not working @mollyaimee. I had those shitty green ones too and they showed nothing dark whatsoever so I gave up using them for months and then switched brands last month.

@2020mission yeah I hate those milestones. But on the plus side you can get tests now and if there is anything not quite right you can deal with it. As my doctor said to me, most people conceive while they’re waiting for their referral appointment so you never do know.

@thislittlebird I’m supposedly on cycle day 18 and still super faint second line on OPKs. Been using a brand called Promatris? They’re green and reaaaallly don’t rate them!! Much prefer easy@home but couldn’t get those this time! I’ve been holding urine for about 4 hours and then testing around 4.30ish each day and still getting faint lines so just given up this cycle in terms of testing tbh!!

@mollyaimee I’ve only ever used the cheap OPK strips. I had pink Femometer and blue Easy@Home ones that showed peaks. I also had a batch of green One Step ones and they rarely showed peak readings. I compared and used both in the same urine a few times and the greens were definitely rubbish. Which are you using? I haven’t used them every month. When I did, I used them at around lunchtime every day. Are you going for afternoons at roughly the same time?

I’m feeling a bit fed up... I’ve been spotting for 3 days as usual and AF is due anytime now. I always feel this way when I know I’m out until AF is gone but this time it’s a bit harder as I’m going to have to call the GP as we've been trying over a year now. I was really hoping to avoid it but it looks like it’s not going to happen for us without help now.

What OPKs are you using and what day are you on? @mollyaimee I never got anywhere with the cheap OPKs, but I got bored of trying quite fast as well.

@KeepSmiling89 @thislittlebird @2020mission how is everyone doing?! I still appear to not have ovulated yet and still not had a peak yet this month so not sure what’s happening there! Pretty much counting myself out this month and it doesn’t even look like I’m going to ovulate! Tempted to go to GP next cycle to see if they can do any tests to check I am ovulating. Out of 3 cycles, I’ve never had a clear positive OPK. Anyone had this issue?

Ugh no, can’t stand seeing any more of that stupid white test window (and I’ve only done it a few times over the last year or so). My temps did that last month and it stressed me out too much @2020mission, so I gave it a swerve this month.

I have little to no hope for my luck, too many issues between me and dh I suspect for any real success, but we try nonetheless .

My plan is to diet and get fitter/lose winter weight, carry on acupuncture in March, try to stick with the supplements and seed cycling. I’m only a few days past ovulation at most but I really, really need my periods to go back to something approaching normal in terms of pmt symptoms and flow, because I can’t deal with the worry about them as well.
